Four years ago, Hawk Moth (aka Gabriel Agreste) was sent to jail. Five years ago, Ladybug and Chat Noir started dating.

Now, Paris is safe and Team Miraculous is more united than ever. Everything would be perfect except for one small detail: Chat Noir still hasn't revealed his true identity to the team, and after five years of dating, Marinette is losing her patience. Why doesn't her boyfriend trust her enough to tell her his name? What is he afraid of?

However, her personal matters will have to be put aside when the butterfly and peacock miraculouses reappear, and Ladybug will have to cooperate with the first suspect to be the new Hawk Moth: Adrien Agreste, the pretty boy she's been dreading to meet for the last four years.

(Adrien was never allowed to go to school, so he is not supposed to know the squad.)

After Strike Back, Hawk Moth has all the miraculous. Marinette can't look at Adrien because he reminds her of Felix, and Chat Noir tries to get Ladybug back to her usual (not depressed) self, while fighting not to have a mental breakdown himself. Felix, on the other hand, is desperate to free himself and Adrien from the power of the rings, even if it means antagonising his cousin. Not that he knows Chat Noir is his cousin... but will soon know. And Lila... Lila is going to get her ass beaten. (Chloe, Luka, Kagami and Alya will have a rol to play, eventually.)
