Top 3 ships: Surprisingly, I don’t actually ship a lot of characters. I used to do it a lot more when I was younger but now I stay away from shipping except for one couple (if you follow my blog you know which one I’m talking about) But anyway, I can up with three: Lucy Baker/Alfendi Layton (Layton Brothers Mystery Room) Miles Morales/Gwen Stacy (Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse) Orpheus/Eurydice (Hadestown)

Last film watched: Jurassic Park. I’ve been watching a lot of movies right now

Currently reading: The Language of Fire, I’m really liking it. The book is a re-imagining of Joan of Ark’s life and it’s as a free verse poem

What show(s) are you watching currently: I’m halfway through Beastars, I’m still not sure if I’m liking it

Maybe talk a bit about your beastars s/i? :3

ahhh thank you so much Silas!

So uh my Beastars s/i is named Joan, as in ‘Joan of Arc’ to contrast Louis as he is named after French kings. I'm a history nerd can you blame me?

Joan has a slightly unfortunate family tree.

Her mother is a dingo-fennec fox hybrid, who is a well respected stuntwoman and martial artist. She knows jui-jutsu, judo, Krav Maga, Aikido, Systema amongst many many more!

If I had to equate her to a real life figure, I’d say she'd be like the Zoe Bell of the Beastars universe.

This is kind of where Joan gets all her self defense moves from.

Her father is a Harpia-komodo dragon mix who also happens to be a nurse. He has taught Joan what to do in a medical emergency, how to do CPR, how to treat wounds and what to do when someone is having a panic attack.

I have yet to name her parents but for the most part they are pretty caring and want the best for Joan.

Appearance wise, other students kinda tease Joan over the fact she has big ears. They are distraction in class, and usually she sits at the back because sometimes the person sitting behind might not be able to see what's being presented in class. Don't get me started on the feathers on her head either- that's a whole can of worms.

She's a memeber of the Visual Arts Club! But because she's Louis unofficial bodyguard it sometimes means that she's in the Drama Club doing sketches and stuff.

She's is Louis's (best) friend and ‘unofficial’ bodyguard, but Joan respects the fact Louis can handle himself, but part of her is still concerned of him slipping up - and one slip could mean a life or death situation, so Joan does her best to be near Louis as much as possible. Louis doesn't like that at all but he just accepts it - then later understands and actually admits that he really appreciates Joan's company

Joan pines for Pina's affections but she's too nervous to say anything - so she just quietly draws him when he's doing drama rehearsal. She has no clue that Pina is pining after her too cause he thinks that when her feathers floof up it makes her cuter. The time he really falls in love is her laughter which is really like - the cutest sound on earth to him-
