Tony Lazzeri was part of the New York Yankee’s “Murderer’s Row” team along with Babe Ruth, Bob Meusel, and Lou Gehrig. He was the first Yankee and major-league baseball player in history to hit two grand slams in one game (12 other players after him share that feat) and one of 14 to hit a natural cycle of single-double-triple-and home run at-bats. Lazzeri still stands as the only MLB player to hit both a grand slam and a natural cycle in the same game. In that May 24th, 1936 game, he helped the Yankees blow out the Philadelphia Athletics 25-2 with a resulting 11 RBI’s, an American League Record. He was part of The Yankees’ five world championships and was inducted into The Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1991. 📸: New York Daily News

Yankee outfielder Bob Meusel, also a passenger of the car driven by L.A. theater man Bob Albright, escapes without any serious injuries.
