Study break (Zack Merrick imagine)

~Request: Hi could you maybe do one where yn is best friends with them (this takes place in high school) and she gets her report card back and she's failing so they all comfort her and help her raise her grades?? Sorry if this is too specific I'm having a bad day and would love it if you would write this. (Also if it just so happens to end in a relationship with either Alex jack or zack I wouldn't mind it 😉)~

“Fuck it” You grumble as you walk through the front door of your house and fall onto the couch, throwing the torn bits of your report card. “I got the rejection letter in the mail but its already ripped to shreds!!!” Your tall heavily eyebrowed friend sang, trying to lighten the mood. You looked up at him with basically the -_- face. “Heh.. sorry.” Alex grumbled and sat down.

You sat up, looking at your four somewhat famous friends. “I dont get it! I try and I try but I just cant get it! At this point Im not going to graduate!” You raise your voice a bit. Rian jokingly said “Hey come on. You can be a roadie, with us!” The other boys start to chuckle a bit. Jack chimed in jokingly “Hell yeah! You can even strip for us too!” Obviously, you werent having it, as you said “Fuck you guys this isnt funny” And stormed upstairs into your room. “I think we pissed her off guys..” Alex said, earning a smack on the back of the head from his bassist. “No shit.”

You silently cried in your room, not sure what the hell you were going to do. ‘What if I did just become a stripper? Hey they’re your friends, they’d enjoy it. Besides theyre dudes!” You make youtself laugh a bit but honestly the thought just made you feel worse.

Suddenly, you hear the door handle jiggle, but you locked the door. “Y/N we were just kidding. Were sorry.. Can you please let us in?” You heard Alex say behind the door. You could hear the guilt in his voice. After a few more minutes of apologizing, you walked across the room and unlocked the door.

The door opens and you see all four of them are a bit guilty. Jack started “Listen we were just kidding we didnt... Holy fuck are you crying?!?!” Automatically all of the boys started freaking out and basically tackle hugging you to your bed all simultaneously going

“Oh my god were so sorry”

“We didnt mean to make you cry”

“Were just dicks”

“We have a shitty sense of humor”

“Oh god Y/N please dont hate us!”

All of the apologies and desperate attempts to make you forgive them actually put you in a better mood. Nice to know they cared. “Its ok guys, really” You mumbled, wiping a tear away. “I know you were joking its just... Im really scared.” Zack started rubbing your back. “We understand... just know we will always be here for you, ok? Seriously” They all nodded their heads in agreement.

Alex suddenly went “Tell you what, let us all go get something to eat, and then well all come back and help you study. I mean it is Friday night its not like any of us have to be at school tomorrow.” The other boys nodded, and since your parents were gone for the weekend, you agreed!

After some Applebees and a couple of movies at home (mainly due to all of you being horrible procrastinators) You all finally got to studying. Mainly it was just making flashcards and Rian getting really frustrated because Jack and Alex keep goofing off.

At this point, its around 2:30, and most everyone was asleep, exept you. You took studying to your room since Zacks snoring was really distracting.You had an energy drink by your side, trying to keep awake. You were in the middle of trying to remember a trig equation when you heard a gentle knock on the door.

You turned your head to see a sleepy Zack leaning on the doorframe (No wonder it seemed kinda quieter, even from your room. “What are you still doing up?” He asked, rubbing his eyes.

~Zack’s POV~

You basically woke yourself up from snoring. You sat up and the first thing you noticed was that 1. Y/N wasnt there, and 2. Someone ripped one. You sleepily stood up to get some water, but as you passed the staircase, you could see a light still on upstairs, specifically in Y/N’s bedroom. Is she really still up?

You sigh ‘Come on Zack. You cant hide it forever. Just go up and tell her... at least go see if shes ok’ You think to yourself and slowly head up the stairs. Your heart beats faster with each step.. You know she doensnt like you, but maybe if you just kissed her... maybe a spark would happen and she would be yours! You denied yourself, unsure. Really, you probably wouldnt actually try and kiss her, though you consider it every time youre alone with her. You just want to be around her. You have the biggest crush on Y/N but you know youd never have the courage to say it.

With all the thoughts running through your mind, you finally realize your in her doorway, looking down at the beautiful sleepy mess laying belly down on the floor surrounded by notes and books. Honestly, you couldnt help but stare at her ass for a good moment

~Your POV~

Zack moved some books and layed down next to you. “Y/N I know its good to study, but youre going to fry your brain doing this.” He said softly, he was surprisngly close to you. You retorted “I know but I need to succeed. I refuse to be a failure...” You trailed off and sighed. Zack sighed as well and sat up, pulling you up with him

“Y/N” Zack said and held your shoulders so you wouldnt fall over. “Whatever happens, none of us will ever see you as a failure. Ok? No matter what happens, we support and we believe in you, if you dont believe anyone else will love you for who you are and support you no matter what, then believe in us...” You could barely see Zacks face in the dim light, but you could tell he was staring into your sleep deprived eyes. “Believe in me..” he said softly.. and then it happened. He leaned in and the boy kissed you.

Your almost closed eyes sprung wide open at the feeling of his soft lips against yours. Honestly, you never had feelings for Zack beforehand, mainly because you never thought he would feel the same, but something about this kiss sent sparks throughout your body and made you feel like you were flying. You have kissed boys before, ones you like and ones you didnt like, but this was unlike anything you have ever felt before, it was real.

Zack pulled away, but he was still barely an inch from you. He whispered shakily “I-Im sorry.. I-” “No” you interrupted. You two sat there for a second and he hesitantly leaned in again, this time you kissed back.

You dont exactly remember what happened but at around 11 the next morning you woke up to Alex screaming at you guys to wake up. You look around and youre cuddled up next to Zack on the floor surrounded by books (fully clothed, just thought you should know)

Zack started to come to, and he automatically started blushing when he remembered that he kissed you last night. “Good job man, finally told her you liked her. Now come on! Batman Begins came out this morning and I gotta go see it!” The messy haired boy jumped around excitedly and ran downstairs. Zack and you remained on the floor for a couple more moments, unsure of what just happened. Zack turned and looked at you. “Well I didnt say it... but I guess last night showed it.” He smiled “And ya know Alex just said it for me” You both laughed. “Anyways uh...” Zack paused and continued. “I guess were going to see the new Batman movie today... wanna make it a first date?” He asked, hope in his eyes. You grinned “Sounds like a date. Could use a break from studying anyways”
