FROM CANTINA PATRONS TO FULL-FLEDGED JEDI MASTERS -- WELCOME TO THE CLONE WARS, KIDS

PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on Talz, Ithorian, and Shistavanen Jedi Masters, Foul Moudama, Roron Corobb, and Voolvif Monn, with all three created exclusively for Cartoon Network's 2003-05 animated series "STAR WARS: Clone Wars."

ORIGIN/CREATION: "Voolvif Monn was created as part of a Cartoon Network poll to determine which of three new Jedi, each based on characters seen in the cantina scene in "STAR WARS: Episode IV A New Hope," should be introduced in the "STAR WARS: Clone Wars" television series. Monn won the contest, and appeared in "Chapter 20," though the other two contestants, Foul Moudama and Roron Corobb, were later introduced anyway, and they both played larger and more important roles than Monn's."

STRONG IN THE FORCE WAS HE, AND THE MOST MYSTERIOUS JEDI MASTER OF ALL.

PIC(S) INFO: Resolution at 1000x1612 -- Spotlight on Foul Moudama, a male Talz from the uncharted world of Alzoc III who served the Jedi Order as a Jedi Master during the waning years of the Old Republic. He was later killed by General Grievous in 19 BBY.

Artwork by Nick "Phraggle" Bondra & the animation department at Cartoon Network led by Genndy Tartakovsky, c. mid 2000's.

CREATION/TRIVIA: "Foul Moudama was created in response to a poll conducted by cartoonnetwork.com. The poll inquired whether Moudama, Roron Corobb or Voolvif Monn should be featured in "STAR WARS: Clone Wars." Though Voolvif Monn was the winner, all three were eventually created. However, his appearance sparked some controversy as his species, the Talz, were previously established to have not been discovered by the galactic population until the reign of the Galactic Empire. To rectify this, Moudama's entry in the Databank explains that his origins were mysterious and few knew where it was he came from."
