could you write something about vinnie hacker with a black actress reader where she is on the late show with stephen colbert. And during the interview he starts obviously talking about her love status because she had been publicly seen with vinnie hacker ( because she had won an oscar for best actress and he lied saying he won’t come but finally surprise her behind the scenes and some personal took photos of them and sold them to the paps ) while he was kissing her. fans speculated a lot about who he was because the pictures were not really good but they finally found that it was vinnie maybe because of one of his tattoos and so stephen colbert starts to show the pictures to her and basically she is just blushing and trying to answer all of his questions about them.

“Let’s welcome the beautiful Y/n L/n.” You smiled towards the camera, waving, before positioning yourself back towards Stephan. “First of all I just want to congratulate you on your Oscar award.”

The past weekend you had one the award for Best Female Actress.

“Let me tell you, I was shocked, I think if you zoom in closely on my face when we won, my mouth is just wide open, like I wasn’t expecting to win at all.”

“This wasn’t the only surprise that night, was it?.” You could see what Stephan was egging on, you felt your body heat up.

“Um no, it wasn’t.” 

You and Vinnie talked about the aftermath of the Oscars when there was a picture of you backstage after you won your award. The photos didn’t hit the internet until the next morning, and luckily from the angle, it was hard to tell it was Vinnie.

Vinnie’s fanbase was huge, and it didn’t take them long after doing a little investigating and noticing the iconic snake tattoo on his wrist. Since the discovery, neither of them confirmed it but still didn’t deny it and became less private about the two of you being together.

“For those of you who don’t know, TikTok star Vinnie Hacker surprised Y/n backstage after winning her award.”

You sank down in your seat a little, seeing the photo that was all over the internet, the two of you held close together, you could see his hands wrapped around your waist.

“So, me along with everyone else want to know, is it official between the two of you?”

There were long talks about your relationship with your mange team along with his, and since the confirmation, it gave you a slight boost with your movies and many of his fans loved the two of you together, so it was up to the two of you to give the green light. 

“Yes, we are together.” There wasn’t really a discussion between the two of you, both wanting your relationship to be public since the beginning.

“Well, congratulations.” He smiled.

“Thank you, thank you.” You beamed. 

“I do have some questions for you about the relationship, if that is okay?” Stephan was still respectful about your privacy, giving you the choice to choose to answer and talk about the relationship that it was in the open.

“Of course.”

“Well this first one is pretty simple, how did the two of you meet?”

You snorted, covering your mouth instantly, remembering how. “Gosh, this is totally embarrassing. So this was before I got the role, and I was barely into the acting world, I just moved to LA, and I met Nikita and she introduced me to Vinnie. So we were at this party, and I started to drink too much and I got really drunk, found him and basically confessed my love to him, but not in a super cute way. I grabbed his face with my hands, and screamed about how good he looked and that he needed to be my boyfriend.”

The rest of the audience started laughing along with Stephan. “Wow, okay.”

“Good story to tell the kids.” It was an off hand one liner from you and you caught yourself right after you said it. Luckily Stephan saw how embarrassed you were and skipped past it going through the rest of the interview. 

Walking off the stage, you were brought back into your dressing room, getting cleaned up before you left, when you heard a notification go off on your phone.

Surely Harry cannot be wearing high heeled shoes for height? Surely not?

It's always been reported that W = 6'3" and H = 6'2". If you see them in the 2017 London Marathon pics where they are both wearing plain sneakers, not dress shoes, that looks very accurate to their reported heights.

And I don't know what people mean about the Diana Statue pics. If you look at the rota pics, Harry very clearly looks an inch shorter than William. I think maybe what is confusing is that they were standing on grass at the garden.

fifty bucks is fifty bucks. they are both at a good price and usb 2.0. the main difference you'd pay for is to go from "16-bit/48kHz" to "Up to 24-bit/192kHz". you can always downsample. upsampling audio creates two possible types of stairstepping. going from 16bit resolution (of the analog samples to steps in a digital waveform) to 24bit might not be noticeable. if you mix at 96kHz and upsample from 48kHz each sample gets put somewhere ~twice. that gets really obvious if the sound is further altered at 96kHz by reverb or other effects. downsample a mix from 96kHz to 48kHz later on and the original sample won't sound the same as recorded.

brief update: i know. speaking professionally only the upsampling and subsequent downsampling of different samples per second introduces what's officially called a stairstepping, audio artifact. upsampling bit resolution and then adding effects often adds artifacts too. i just think of it my own way to remember what upsampling audio easily does.

i'm mixing at 48kHz except when it's for release through amuse. they require 44.1kHz at 16bit. i prefer 96kHz at 24bit or 48kHz at 24bit.

have to pick from different software too. both boxes offer bundled software i haven't tried yet. still, fifty bucks is fifty bucks.

Has anyone else noticed that liberal-adjacent political jokes don't draw laughs anymore?

That's not to say that conservative jokes do, but I just remember hearing a lot more laughter from political jokes as a child than I do as an adult.

I've been watching Stephen Colbert since I was in late elementary school. My conservative family stopped watching him after the Colbert Report ended, but I recently started watching his monologues from the Late Show, just because it's a pleasant childhood memory to tickle. I know it's a shitlib thing to do, but stay with me here:

The Report, if I recall correctly, had laughter. He would say some dumb shit that--I now realize--had a liberal-bias, and everyone would laugh, because it was funny, it hinted at some underlying truth that everyone seemed to recognize.

The Late Show has the same almost-snarky liberal-bias and heavy-handed packaging that doesn't really make me laugh anymore, but it doesn't seem to make anyone else laugh either.

It's not that people don't like the content of the jokes. The opinions seem really popular! Usually there's a crowd-wide chuckle and then an uproar of applause. Colbert will make some petty comment about the appearance of a republican congressman in a photo and the crowd will laugh at his transitionary joke and then boo at the name of the politician.

I don't remember that being commonplace before. And I'm not saying that it should come back necessarily, I'm not big on "civility politics" or w/e. But have you noticed it? Liberal-leaning (and probably left-leaning) comedians just...don't make people laugh anymore. We smile and cheer. We're happy for someone to affirm what we think nobody seems to understand. But...we don't laugh at the joke.

I guess I should be happy, it's sort of a good thing. But when did it start? When did people decide that making fun of Republicans was applause-worthy instead of funny?
