A commission for the lovely Emerald Mermaid Rowan on Instagram! I had loads of fun working on this one, from the filigree detail on her crown, to the leaf texture on her brassiere, to the ruffles in her fins... truly a splash! And yes, Junji Ito is my biggest inspiration when it comes to drawing mermaid hair, since I know you all were wondering.

I wonder what gem I'd choose to represent my aesthetic and personality... Rhodochrosite? ...No, no, but I'll get there.
