This house. I love Art Deco, and this house in St. Petersburg, Florida was built during that period in 1928, but it's Mediterranean style. It has the art deco elements incorporated into it, though. There are 4bds, 3ba, & is $2.456M.
As soon as the front door opens, there's a typically art deco mosaic with the home's date.
The walls are stucco b/c it's Mediterranean style, but it's painted pure white, instead of a creamy yellow, as a nod to art deco. The tile is definitely art deco.
This room appears to be a home office. The furnishings are not Mediterranean, they're more a modern version of art deco.
In the sitting room, the fireplace was redone in shiny marble. The brick firebox looks original.
There's a nice large dining. Notice that there are no stucco walls like those in the entrance hall.
Updated shower room.
The floors are just wonderful. The cabinets have a vintage look to them, so they may be original.
The countertops are stunning. It does seem inconvenient that the cook top is in another room, though.
There's a laundry area in the pantry. Very nice.
Lovely everyday dining space.
I'm thinking that the light fixtures are reproductions of Dale Chihuly's work. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem as detailed.
The main bedroom is the largest.
It has this cute little balcony in the palm trees, too.
Beautiful remodeled bath.
One of the smaller bedrooms.
But, it does have an en-suite.
Look at this beautiful 2nd floor deck.
In the garden is a brick patio with a privacy wall.
The garage is original with the creamy walls and vintage floor.
It's a large house.
The house located near Coffeepot Bayou and that small green island in the middle is a bird sanctuary.
