You parked your red 1995 Mitsubishi 3000gt into the Scranton Memorial Hospital parking lot to visit your former colleague Meredith. Pam had called you from the Scranton branch to tell you what’s happened.
You became closer friends with Pam after sharing no more than a full conversation, usually small talks. Now, she usually call you whenever something chaotic happened or if Michael was being an idiot that led to pointless meetings, or just to check in on you, since she knew of your personal issues. You weren’t that close with the rest of your Scranton colleagues, aside from Oscar.
You had drove all the way to Scranton from your new job at corporate to visit Meredith and offer your support. Despite being acquainted, you still care about your co-workers. Upon entering the Scranton proximity, you drove to the nearest boutique store to buy her some flowers.
After asking the nurse for Meredith Palmer, you walked down the hall until you saw the squared sign that said “Room 203”. You see Meredith half asleep while watching television. She noticed you approaching her.
“Hi, Meredith,” you greeted softly.
“Hello, Y/N,” she smiled.
“How are you feeling?” you asked.
She squeezed her eyes and groaned. “Like crap.” You put your hand on her shoulder in sympathy. She opened her eyes and take notice of the bouquet in your hand. “I see you got me flowers.”
“Yes,” you smiled as you placed it in a vase. “Pam tells me everyone in the office came to see you.” Meredith nodded.
“That’s very sweet of them. Sorry you got hit by Michael’s car.”
Meredith groaned again. “I can’t forgive him. He messed up my tube while tying up some balloons and the nurse had to fix it.”
You shook your head in disbelief/amusement.
“Oh, Michael,” you facepalmed.
Parts of you are happy to be working at corporate because you don’t have to deal with Michael’s idiocy. But parts of you somewhat missed seeing the crazy shenanigans Michael often gets himself into.
