Ok I’ve done the kids now I wanted to do the adults! Here are my interpretations of Rina, Hanon, and Lucia as adults (per Aqua). I have much different sadder headcanons for them per the end of the manga.

Rina

Rina is the COOL MomTM who rides a motorcycle and teaches lessons for it on the weekends. She also helps runs the Mermaid Shrine because I headcanon it is run by Masahiro’s family.

Hanon

She is a fashion designer and makes her own clothes for the boutique she owns. She learns to play the piano from Kaito and does that in her free time.

Luchia

She runs the Pearl Piari and has her own online shop for her jewelry making business.

What do think the the mermaid princesses would do after the show? Like besides Luchia, Hanon, Rina, and Karen being with their mans (and Nikora too!) Like do you think Coco and Noelle would return their kingdoms? Or like do you think Luchia would run the pearl piari?

actually!!! it makes me sad but i think the breakdown would basically be like- everyone go home! sgfgfgdsf

lucia would have to go home and rule her kingdom, at the end of the day she went on land and stayed there to deal with the issues under the sea! not to mention that at the end of the manga it’s revealed shes going to be the next aqua regina! she would definitely have to go home to begin ruling and prepare! :( kaito may have to rebuild the panthalassa kingdom, if he’s down(?) there are apparently panthalassa descendants on land so theres that for him! they could definitely see eachother every once in a while!

hanon and rina would have to say goodbye to their boyfriends! unless by some amazing stroke of fate they end up being part sea creature too dghsgd which i hc that masahiro at least, is! he’s a descendant of a mermaid so i like to add the panthalassa thing in too! ( mermaid/panthalassa! scandalous o: ) but nagisa.. :( sorry king!

coco and noel would have to go home and rule their kingdoms too! but to be fair, and to make this not so sad dghsdg we do see that the girls have a lot of freedom about coming and going! i think their roles as princesses are a little strange in that they have a lot of freedom about coming and going from their kingdoms! caren noel and coco come on land at one point because they’re bored! dhfshdgfs

maybe their jobs are more figurehead-y than we think? o:

oh!!! you know what, with seira coming back and the indian ocean mermaids being scattered/gone, someone’s going to have to step up and help her figure all that out! im assuming this may be a time where coco and the other girls will swim on over and help her out, she’s only a kid after all!

i think since coco and sara were so close, she’d keep a very close eye on seira! big sister vibes <333

with the pearl piari- i hc that nikora is actually on lucia’s council as chief of staff, so in my little hc world, nikora would have to either return to the ocean or hire someone to take over for her! buuut nikora seems to be very duty-bound, i wonder if she would leave?

i would love to see her develop her relationship with maki more though, they were very sweet to watch :’‘) <333

As far as Hippo was concerned, the planning for this party was a total nightmare. They had an hour before the guests were due to arrive, but Rina and Hanon started quarreling and Lucia was helplessly trying to get her friends to see reason. The penguin could only wonder if it was his fault for trying to keep the mermaid team organized, as his constant announcements seemed to have been the fire starter…

“Everyone! I must remind you that we have three hours until our guests arrive! All of you must be working on the preparations right now!”

“That’s right, Hippo! Perhaps we could be setting up faster if only someone wasn’t lazing around!” Rina insisted.

“Hey! Are you talking about me!?” Hanon looked up from where she sat on the floor, surrounded by balloons. “I’ve been blowing all these balloons, so don’t say I’ve been lazing around! What about you?”

“We were supposed to put up decorations—you know, the kind that takes three people to help set up?” Rina emphasized.

“It’s not my fault I didn’t hear you!” Hanon turned away with a humph. “Besides, it’s not like I knew how important these decorations are to you!”

“Both of you need to calm down, please!” Lucia pleaded, but it was no use once Rina and Hanon turned their backs on each other, literally, and made it clear they wanted to work alone.

“It’s no use, Lucia,” Hippo told her with a sigh. “We’ll have to keep moving on with setup and hope those two will see reason…”

Reason, as it turns out, came in the form of Seira when she and Nicola came home from shopping for dinner. Nicola had seen too many petty squabbles among the Pearl Piari princesses and wanted no part in it, concentrating on cooking instead. The curious orange princess asked, “What’s wrong with Rina and Hanon?”

“The three of us were supposed to work on setup,” Lucia explained, “but now it seems like they’re not in the mood to hang banners or Christmas tree ornaments…”

“I could help you!” Seira volunteered. “Putting up decorations sounds like fun!”

Putting up decorations was, in fact, not easy when you had a teenage klutz, a little girl, and a penguin trying to balance on ladders while dealing with a large fabric. When Rina came back and saw this, she knew how terribly unsafe this was.

“What is going on? Why is Seira up on that ladder!?”

“Sorry, Rina!” Lucia exclaimed. “But we have to get the banners up or else our party will look really embarrassing…”

It was then that Hanon also came back to the main room and immediately saw what was going on. “Okay, that’s it—Seira, you need to get down from the ladder now!”

“But, who’s going to do the decorations?”

“We will,” Rina readily answered. “Hippo, you can step down from the ladder, too.”

“Sorry, Lucia, but this job requires three people to set it up, you know!” Hanon teased, much to the klutzy pink mermaid’s dismay.

It really seemed like Hanon and Rina put their differences aside once they saw what they still needed to do. As the Pearl Piari team slowly mobilized into Party-Hosting Mode, they were so focused on having their guests over that they didn’t have a moment to enjoy the party themselves until several hours later, once everyone was gathered in the living room for singing and hot chocolate by the fire.

“Hey, Hanon, about earlier…” Rina approached her friend when they had some space to themselves.

“Oh, you still remembered that, huh?” Hanon laughed nervously. “Sorry I was being such a stuck-up kid again.”

“That’s not your fault at all, I should be the one to apologize!” Rina quickly explained. “I was too blindsided to start blaming you out of nowhere.”

“That’s okay, we all get a bit reckless when we’re under stress, don’t we?” Hanon assured her, “It’s water under the bridge now, Rina. We managed to put together another successful party, we should enjoy it!”

Rina smiled. “You’re right, we probably should.”

It was at that moment when they got up, they found a sprig of mistletoe hanging from the doorway.

“Wait… who put that there!?” Hanon asked in shock.

“You might want to follow tradition, you two! I know a lot of us have…!” Caren called from the main room.

“Rina, we don’t have to if we don’t want, it’s just a-”

Hanon was interrupted when Rina swiftly kissed her on the lips. The green princess looked down afterwards. “I’m sorry if you…”

“Wait… what if I liked it?”

“What?”

“I liked that, Rina…” Hanon was now blushing as she held onto her dear friend’s hand. “I was wondering if we could…maybe do it again?”

“Sure…” Rina said before leaning into another kiss that the two shared.

(“Finally!” Lucia said to Seira as they secretly watched from a door. “I was waiting for them to realize feelings for ages!”

“Oh, so that was why you needed my help putting up mistletoe?” The orange princess asked.

“Shhh, we’re not gonna tell them we did that, okay?” The pink princess winked. “This is our little secret~!”

“Right!”)

Needless to say he’s counted his lucky stars a thousand times over by the time he’s managed to carry Sora, bundled in towel’s Riku’s now 100% glad he’d constantly kept packed away in his backpack, from the hotel’s local-beach-entering back garden into one of the larger, more secluded public washrooms of the establishment.

He's counting even more that they hadn’t miraculously come across anyone on their way, knowledgeable of such magic or otherwise ; even if the help with Sora’s sudden added weight would’ve been appreciated, somehow, he had a feeling he wasn’t the only one who wasn’t keen on an entourage at the moment.

With a particularly strict warning not to touch him at the start, water certainly dripping but barely grazing his clothes unconcernedly, it’s just the two of them as Sora’s unceremoniously, but carefully, placed in a pool-sized bath that really takes up about half of the luxuriously-sized room. For a moment, Riku’s silent, eyes drawn to the door he’d made sure to lock on the way in as he takes a few half-steps back, just to make sure ; and his fingers shift to shadow over where his necklace lies, a bit of comfort in all the sudden insanity, underneath his shirt. 

What a mess….

Then he’s poised, hands on his hips, an eyebrow arched and teal depths burning, once he’s a bit more mentally prepared ; and if his expression doesn’t scream ‘I told you so’, then clearly he’s doing something wrong.

      To say Sora was scared would be an understatement.

      It was a usual afternoon like all the others. One day after his sixteenth birthday and Sora asked Riku to accompany him for a work-related stroll along the beach. Riku avoided the water of course and Sora joined him for awhile. Until Sora reached a tide pool and eagerly darted toward it. Without hesitation Sora stepped around the rocks into the water and began rummaging around for shells. Or he was until he lost his balance and fell face first into the water.

      Rather he thought he lost his balance. Spitting out sea water Sora huffed and gave his head a good shake much like a puppy would trying to dry off. Picking himself up and turning around still knee deep Sora grumbled under his breath and sighed. He didn’t mind being wet or in the water. He was more annoyed that his clothes were now soaked all the way through and would have to trek home like that-- in front of Riku too! Riku who would no doubt tease him endlessly for being clumsy enough to trip over his own two legs--

      Legs.

      His legs were gone. 

      A long blue tail replaced his legs. Looking down Sora saw the normal scaly patches on his arms took on a blue sheen. Unbeknownst to him at the time his ears turned into long blue fins. In mute shock, and a bit of disbelief, Sora went to wiggle the tail fins like he might his toes and flinched when it responded the same way.

      This is real.

      If not for Riku escorting him to Pearl Piari through the back Sora probably would have continued to sit in the tide pool on the verge of an emotional meltdown. However the minute Riku deposited him, tail and all, into the washroom’s pool and gave him that look Sora lost it.

      “Don’t you dare look at me like that!! This isn’t funny! I have a tail, Riku, a tail! Wh...Where are my legs, I-- I want my legs back! A-Am I a fish, Riku? Are my parents fish people? I don’t wanna be a fish...!” He trailed off into a low whine.

      Sora, now visibly shaking, wrapped his arms tightly around himself and shrank back into a corner of the bath. The back of eyes began to sting with word of his mouth, gaze locked onto Riku. “Did-- Did you know about this? You’re way too calm for someone who’s friend just grew a tail!”

The Piary #1

Writing about random RL shit bc I wanna :D

so I’m currently trying to do this combined change in my diet, going to a low carb and 8/16 diet thing. BC I was never a smol bean, but I never minded bc even if I had curves like a mother, I still did whatever I wanted and had fun and it was never too bad to be a problem. Then, in the last like, year and a half, I gained like 30-40 kilos and man, them gots to go. I want to be curvy and cuddly, but I don’t want to not fit in a chair. I don’t want to feel like dying after walking for 15 minutes, ya know? BC even when I was around 100 Kilos, I still did sports and had fun doing it and didn’t feel too bad about it. Now? 15 mins on the spinner thing and I am crying and I don’t like myself that way.

I’d lost 5 kilos already a few weeks into 2019, then exam season happened and I kept ordering from Burger King or got myself a Pizza bc I was constantly caught between either celebrating another Exam off the list OR just too busy with studying to want to bother with cooking, ya know and I’ve not dared to check the scale since then ... *coughs* 

ANYWAY, I just figured writing about it might be helpful, so I hope you guys don’t mind the occasional update about my health/fitness?

Yup, I realize atm no one is actually talking TO me and for now, since the blog is new, I am talking into a void, but oh well, you gotta start somewhere. IF, however, you wanna chat with me, totes dooo!

Hypani Aeacus – Similar to other olivebloods in the sense that they live outdoors, specifically a jungle. Unalike because of a bad tendency to panic under pressure. Sign: Lemini

Lovack Jarost – Jadeblooded. Hey, what do you know, another mystery! Maybe they're friends with Caloni... Sign: Viricorn

Dacoba Piaris – He's an indigoblood, and he's always got his mask on for some reason. What is his deal??? Sign: Sagigo

Lokira Lahotu – A clown! A very happy purpleblood clown who cannot possibly do anything wrong, ever. Sign: Capriza

Vyetta Lapaze – First fish lady, a violetblood FLARPing master while in water, suddenly an invertebrate while on land. Sign: Aquius

Lilabe Naiade – Second fish lady, a violetblood as well. She's got her body underwater, but her eyes are trained on the stars... a master cartographer, hopefully. Sign: Aquittanius

Enkali Ngiabb – Third fish lady, the heiress! This fuschiablood may be racist and have no fashion sense, but... I lost my train of thought. Sign: Pirius

[MMD] Rina joins Wacky House Residence 

Remember what Bea, Robbie Rotten, and Konata fished earlier this month? They fished a mermaid from the sea, and it turns out it was a former mermaid princess, Rina Toin. They fished her out and Robbie just carried the mermaid. Rina tells them she's the green mermaid princess who lived in Atlantic ocean.

Rina has an amazing explanation of why she just appeared. She decide to retire as being in charge of her kingdom, as she wanted to do something different with her life rather than staying too long taking care of a place with huge responsibility. Once she told the mermaids in her kingdom that she's planning on retiring, Rina was headed to see Madame Taki, as her plan was going up to the land. Madame Taki put a spell on her so she can control her transformation. Now she can just transfer between a mermaid and a human on her command. That means she can go to the water and ocean without just turning into a mermaid unless if she decides so. Rina also keeps her pendent and her mermaid princess abilities. The other spell Taki put her was she can't turn into bubbles once she reveals to humans she's a mermaid. Pretty much Rina gets to live as a human once she goes to the land. Also if you're wondering about what happens to her boyfriend, Masahiro, they've been separate because of Rina's duty when she said goodbye to him after the end of the anime series as seen on the last episode. Masahiro and Rina seem to not rely on a long distant relationship when Rina had to leave Pink Pearl Piari. They just instead be friends, so sorry if their relationship hasn't been in my headcanon, but it wouldn't really last for a long distant relationship and be in charge of the ocean for a couple of years. Also, her best friends, Lucia and Hanon, both know about her departure. So all the stories on her backstory are all you should know about her life in the sea for lots of years after the series, and so she wanted to start out a new live above the sea.

After Rina was fished up, she was brought to the beach where the main Wacky House group were partying. Now at the house, Rina was pretty excited to see the big house that we are living in. She was pretty excited to see we have a huge 4K theater screen on the basement as well as 4K smaller TVs around the house so it's part of her dream.
