Is this a safe heaven for neutralshippers? Depends on the kind:

-Are you the too scared to get publicly harassed because you're proship neutralshipper?

-Are you the neutralshipper that leans with proship views?

-Are you the asshole neutralshipper who says "both sides are bad"?

-Are you the neutralshipper who doesn't wanna get into "fandom" discourse when people are killing themselves over this?

If you are the lower half, this is not a safe space for you. If you think being anti-harassment is just as bad as bullying, you're an asshole. I'm just saying. And if you decide to call yourself neutral because you don't wanna get into "fandom discourse", you're also an asshole. You think both sides are scary because look up to the prior, so you ignore it completely.

I have a mutual who says it's transsage and trassnspecies and that "otherkin/therians and transspecies are brothers we are in the brotherhood. Transage is, for many people, a trauma thing." it responded to an ask saying that being a rq is harmful with "unfollow me then LMAO". this is a minor, and I sometimes see it interacting with adults. I mention this because even though it claimed to be anti-proship, some of these adults are like, "I'm not proship but I fit the definition" so you're proship then??? (so called "neutralshippers" who turn out to actually be either staunchly proship or antiship piss me off) these adults also post nsfw stuff and allow minors to interact. I lowkey think my mutual is being groomed, but I don't wanna make assumptions…what do I do? It's such a nice and funny person, I don't want it to turn for the worse, but I risk getting blocked and smeared as someone hateful. plus one of its moots said, "why are we the transgenders cool for breaking the constructs and fucking around but these others that people make out to be only ever constantly in purposeful bad faith not as cool and sick ??? I dont really get it." there's no indication of whether they're an adult or minor. I don't really know what to say other than it seems unconsciously TERF-ish. I also don't think it's "cool" to be a white person wanting to be black or something like that. that doesn't break any constructs it's just racist. what do you say to that?

unfortunately you can't force your mutual to listen to you. however you could offer them an ear I'd they need one, maybe voice your concerns over DMs without accusing them of being a bad person, etc. however, it's very likely they'll snap and don't want to listen, yell at you or whatever - people don't like to hear what they're doing is not as cool as they think it is. nobody wants to be the bad guy, naturally...

hello, may I ask who is included in the "usual dni" part of your dni since your rentry doesn't elaborate on that? To be specific, I'm asking about m-spec gays and lesbians, as in my experience dnis have "against good faith identities" and "support good faith identities" equally often. sorry for the trouble!

ughhhhhh, okay, anon. gods, i hate answering asks like this because it makes our anxiety go crazy, but i'm the designated shit starter, so here i am.

some of us are pro m-spec gay and lesbian, and some of us aren't. some of us are neutral. same with people identifying as lesbian while being transmasc, and vice versa. we even argue about neutralshippers sometimes. that's pretty common in systems; we don't always think the same.

our dni is usually dictated by the people we think will bring us a bad rap, or discourse to us, rather than what we all specifically believe.

so, that's why we don't have those specifically on our dni. because we can't agree.

if that bothers anyone, feel free to block us. we don't mind, we know we follow/interact with people who are on both ends.

in terms of interacting with us, we'll usually block if its a big part of what you post about. but people who are chill about discourse topics are okay.

I've never once interacted with a neushipper. The only times I've interacted w proshippers was to remind them that they were crosstagging or to tell them they were breaking my DNI.
