FYCCA Archetype Contest/Giveaway, Final Edition
A couple updates from the initial post at the beginning of the month, which can be found here:
As far as the deadline, which has now been extended, the last full day to enter/vote will be February 7th, 11:59 EST (though admittedly I will start counting up votes the following morning). The winners of the archetype contest and the winners of the giveaway will be announced that following Saturday the 11th.
In the interim since the last post, there is now a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place archetype winner as stands now (a few votes have split the prior tie), but a 1st place vote would be enough for 2nd to take the lead.
As far as the giveaway winners, as a reminder, there will be a copy of Change of Heart (with the same rarity as the 1st prize winner) given out to two other randomly-picked voters (using random.org).
To summarize the first prize winner’s cards, with the respective rarities:
1) The top 3 post cards: Change of Heart (Ultra), Toon World (Rare), and Dark Magician Girl (Ultra from LDS3)
2) Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and The Winged Dragon of Ra (all Prismatic Secret Rare)
3) The original 4 Charmers (Wynn, Eria, Hiita, and Aussa) - (Common from their Structure Deck)
4) Fusion Monsters: El Shaddoll Construct (Ultra from DUPO), Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman (Common from HAC1), Frightfur Wolf (Rare), and Oneiros the Dream Mirror Erlking (Super)
5) Link Monsters: The Weather Painter Rainbow (Gold Rare) and Moonbow (Ultra)
6) Synchro Monster: Black Rose Dragon (Ultra, from DUDE)
7) Xyz Monsters: Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (Ultra, from DUDE), and Outer Entity Nyarla (Secret Rare)
8) Ritual Monsters: Magician of Chaos (Ultra Rare with Blue lettering) and Megalith Phul (Common)
9) Spell Cards: Pantheism of the Monarchs (Super Rare), Dark Sanctuary (Common), Elegant Egotist (Common), Monster Reborn (Common), and Soul Release (Common)
10) Miscellaneous: Nurse Dragonmaid (Gold Rare), Noble Knight Artorigus (Ultra), Ghostrick Lantern (Ultra), SPYRAL Super Agent (Super), Orcust Cymbal Skeleton (Rare), Lifeless Leaffish + Farfa Malebranche of the Burning Abyss + Melffy Rabby + Danger!? Tsuchinoko? + Gunkan Suship Shari +Transcicada + Fluffal Dolphin + Dance Princess of the Ice Barrier + Jinzo + Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon + King of the Skull Servants (all Common).
And that (after quite a while of typing that up) is all of them.
Hope you all have a great rest of your day and I look forward to any final votes in the coming days.

Imagine this the creator is a God of sleep, dreams and nightmares.
Like for example in the sagau au people who treated you nicely will receive good dreams or You be visited by a fairy and you will wake up with an item or blessing. For example, Klee was nice so while Klee is asleep.
The fairy who looks like this
(Note the character in the Pic is called Mirabilis from fire emblem heroes)
Tumblr media
When Klee wakes up she gets a dodoco plushie. In short, the fairy acts santa but looks like a fairy.
If it where to be a blessing, the creator will personally talk to you in said dream. The creator would look like this.
(Note it is called Oneiros the dream mirror erlking)

So here’s the list of recent Level 10 monsters belonging to archetypes without Level 12 boss monsters: This list only concerns OCG sets Rise of the Duelist onward. The non-archetypal monsters are in the addendum:

Hi-Speedroid Clear Wing Rider
Shooting Majestic Star Dragon*
Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Dogmatika Nexus*
Level 11, non-archetypal:
Tsumuha-Kutsunagi the Lord of Swords
*****
Looking at this list, it seems Ogdoadic have the best chance of getting a Level 12 boss monster. I expect a Level 12 Gizmek, in adddition to some sort of Level 12 Insect monster, and Psychic monster.
Since there is no Duel Terminal archetype with a Level 12 boss monster, none of the Duel Terminal archetypes archetypes have a good chance of having a Level 12 boss.
Edit: Miswrote Nemleria as Nemrelia. It has been corrected.

After two weeks, we finally have new cards for Blazing Vortex.
*First card is Oneiroi, the Dream Mirror Emissary, a Level 3 LIGHT Fairy monster with 1000 ATK and 1000 DEF. You can only use this card name’s first and second effects once per turn each.
**If there is a Dream Mirror monster on the field, you can Special Summon this card, then you can make its Attribute DARK.
**If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Dream Mirror monster, apply these effects (simultaneously).
***If Dream Mirror of Joy is on the field, you can return 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls to the hand.
***If Dream Mirror of Terror is on the field, draw 1 card, then shuffle 1 card from your hand into the Deck.
*Second card is Oneiros, the Dream Mirror Faeking, a Level 10 DARK Fiend Fusion Monster with 3000 ATK and 3000 DEF. It requires 2 Dream Mirror monsters with different Attributes. You can only use this card name’s second and third effects once per turn.
***While face-up on the field, this card is also LIGHT Attribute.
***When a monster effect is activated while Dream Mirror of Terror is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect), you can negate that effect.
***If Dream Mirror of Joy is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect), you can Tribute this card, Special Summon 1 Oneiros, the Dream Mirror Erlking from your Extra Deck in Defense Position.
****
First card is Oneiros’ mail boy, and the second is his DARK form. Sadly, this is created after original Oneiros, so that doesn’t have direct synergy with this retrain.
But heck yeah, new Dream Mirror cards!

We have the 12 new TCG-first cards from Chaos Impact.
First card is Monster Express, a Level 4 EARTH Machine for Railway Series. Its effect allows you to target a monster you control, and send a monster with the same original Type as that monster to GY from Extra Deck, but you can only Special Summon monsters of that type for the rest of the turn. This is like Tuspa Rocket, but better and generic. It is a very broken card that will see a lot of mileage (haha, pun).
Second card is Primineral Mandstrong, a companion card to Kongrade, Apex of Conglomerates, now localized as Primineral Kongreat. Its is a Level 8 EARTH Rock with 2000/3000 stats that can be Set in Spell/Trap Zone as a Spell. During the End Phase, if this card is in your GY because it was destroyed while it was Set on the field that turn, during the End Phase you can Special Summon this card from GY and add one monster from your GY to your hand. VERY GOOD card, but hopefully TCG-side will make Priminerals a full-blown archetype.
Third card is Desert Locusts, a Synchro Tuner Level 6 Insect that forces the turn player to discard a card when it is Synchro Summoned. Once per Chain, during your opponent’s Main Phase, Quick Effect, you can Synchro Summon using this card immediately after this effect resolves. Basically, you are encouraged to Synchro Summon this using Hop Ear Squadron during your opponent’s turn, and then Synchro climb to a higher Level.
Fourth card is Tyrant Farm, a Normal Spell that can Tribute an Effect Monster to Special Summon a non-Effect Monster from your GY with same Type/Attribute. Depending on the rulings, this is either a good card or a great card, but it is slow and situational.
Fifth card is Brutal Beast Battle, a Normal Trap with the following effect:
**If a player controls 2 or more Monsters of a given card type (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link) they must send some to GY so they control no more than 1 monster of that type. Then each player that sent a monster to GY draws as much as card types (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link) they control. This card can only be activated once per turn. Very good card for Ignisters, not much for anything else.
Sixth card is Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend, a Level 4 LIGHT Beast-Warrior that has the following effects:
**If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Dream Mirror monster, you can target a Level 8- Dream Mirror monster from your GY except this card, and Special Summon it in Defense Position.
**During the Main or Battle Phase, if you control a Dream Mirror of Terror, you can, as a Quick Effect, Tribute this card to Special Summon Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Foe. You can only use each effect once per turn.
Seventh card is Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Foe, a Level 4 DARK Beast-Warrior, that has the following effects:
**If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a Dream Mirror monster, this card can attack directly during this turn.
**During the Main or Battle Phase, if you control a Dream Mirror of Joy, you can, as a Quick Effect, Tribute this card to Special Summon Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend. You can only use each effect once per turn.
Eighth card is Oneiros, the Dream Mirror Erlking, a Level 10 LIGHT Fairy Fusion that requires 2 Dream World monsters with different attributes as Materials. It has the following effects:
**While face-up on the field, this card is also DARK Attribute.
**Once per turn, if another monster you control is Tributed, you can target one card on the field and destroy it.
**Once per turn, if this card is in its owner’s possession is destroyed by a card effect, you can Special Summon a Dream Mirror monster from your GY except this card.
Very good boss monster for Dream Worlds, but sadly this is all they are gonna get.
Ninth card is Dream Mirror Phantasms, a Continuous Spell that can add a Dream Mirror monster when it is activated.
**If Dream Mirror of Joy is in a Field Zone, all monsters you control gain 500 ATK/DEF.
**If Dream Mirror of Terror is in a Field Zone, all monsters your opponent controls lose 500 ATK/DEF.
The idea here is to force the opposing Field Spell to your opponent’s Field Spell Zone for maximum effectiveness.
Tenth card is Dream Mirror of Chaos, a Quick-Play Spell that can Fusion Summon a Dream Mirror monster using your cards on the field.
**If Dream Mirror of Joy is ina Field Zone, you can use monsters in your hand as well.
**If Dream Mirror of Terror is in a Field Zone, you can banish the monsters in your GY as Material.
Same as above, force the opposing Field to your opponent for maximum mileage.
Eleventh card is Dream Mirror Hypnagogia, a Normal Trap that chooses a Dream Mirror of Joy and Dream Mirror of Terror from your hand or Deck, and places one to your Field Zone and the other to the opponent’s Field Zone. It can only be activated once per turn.
Obviously the main combo piece of the archetype, but you might find other quirky methods too.
Twelfth and final card is Dream Mirror Oneiromancy, a Counter Trap with the following effects:
**When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap while Dream Mirror of Joy is in a Field Zone, negate the activation and destroy that card.
**When your opponent Special Summons a monster while Dream Mirror of Terror is in a Field Zone, negate the summon and destroy that card.
The new Dream Mirror support is legit, not gonna lie.
****
With the two new Beast-Warriors, Beast-Warrior count in the game has been raised to 211, putting them above Zombies (209) for the first time in history.
Clearly Konami wants this type to expand like they did with Winged Beasts and Beasts, but we will see how it goes.
