Year of yarn, January 2nd: WIPW So with my temperature blanket finished I had a pick of what to work on next. Today I've been working on my Rheinlust shawl again. This is another large project, but it's nice to be knitting again. And with this gorgeous yarn by Skein!

Year of yarn - January 17th - inspiration

This is a tough one! So I asked my husband if he could help me figure out where I get my inspiration from. His answer was "not sure about your inspiration, but it's definitely your passion, more then anything else you do you come to life when knitting/crocheting"

Okay, so that did not directly help, but then I'm struggling with this because I feel like I get my inspiration from everywhere.

It can be a sight, a smell, a song or sound, a colour, a person. Or just a yarn or a pattern that sparks my inspiration.

Like for this Rheinlust shawl, it was the pattern with the wave in it combined with a memory of the North Sea that gave me the inspiration to make my version of the Rheinlust. For years I've searched for a suitable yarn, until I found it in this yarn by Skein
