While COVID19 has impacted our world in so many horrible ways, one of the bright spots in this pandemic is that the Fox Valley Knitter's Guild can enjoy virtual gatherings with some guest speakers we would never have otherwise been able to host; case in point being our Summer Fling this afternoon featuring the amazing Melanie Berg! FINISHED! (Finally)

This Girl In Me shawl from the Shawls book by @mairlynd took me longer than I’d like, but it’s done! Now to just block it.

Can’t help but be reminded of Tetris when I look at the mosaic pattern. I liked using Chroma fingering for it too.

It came out smaller than the DK ones, but it’s still a good size shawl.

Working on the cable edging of my Dark Champagne shawl. This has been on my needles for more than half a year 😱 The monotony of the 8-row repeat for the shawl body gets to me every time and I have to put it down and grab another WIP for some variety. . Although the cable pattern is also an 8-row repeat, it’s only over a few stitches so this is going a little better for me. . I used a slightly thinner yarn so I used smaller needles so I’m expecting the shawl to be smaller than the dimensions in the pattern. Day 8 of the #yarnlovechallenge where I craft. I do most of my crafting at home these days, stealing time in the morning before I leave for work to make the best of the natural sunlight spilling in from my windows. This guy is never far off when I'm working either.
