80. Command & Conquer Remastered Collection
Command & Conquer's remaster was a breath of fresh air, bringing in new players to both the original Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert, which are some of the highest rated strategy games ever made. The remaster just makes it easier to play, and you can choose to go back to the older graphics too. Just really good all around.
79. SimCity 2000 Special Edition
Ah, the good old SimCity franchise, back when always-online didn't exist. I'm putting 2000 here because it takes the original formula, adds a water system and specialty buildings like schools and hospitals, more disasters, a better way of doing a budget, and adds bonds/loans for the first time. A great game, with a great Let's Play. I still call the Transit Advisor “Jim” because of it.
78. Yakuza 0
Ah, Yakuza 0. My first playing of this great series. I find myself distracted by the side stories, easily. Kiryu is an interesting character and sympathetic, never breaking his “no killing” rule (if you play him like I do, anyway). Majima is just as endearing and he's given a great backstory in this game. I still need to play the other ones, but this is a strong game to start the series with.
77. Puzzle Agent
A cross between Twin Peaks and a puzzle game? Yes, please! You have to solve a mystery of a missing foreman, and have to solve all types of puzzles to get to the bottom of it. It doesn't really get solved until Puzzle Agent 2, but Puzzle Agent 1 is slightly better, so that's why it's on the list.
76. Another World
Also known as “Out of this World” because of a soap opera of the same name, this cinematic platformer is highly regarded as one of the best. Using a checkpoint system, it's very much trial and error, trying to make sure you don't die. Or your buddy, uh... Buddy.
75. Sid Meier's Civilization IV
Civ IV is my favorite of the Civ games, simply because it was easy to get into. Its expansions are great too. It's great trying to get to Alpha Centauri, and the addition of Leonard Nimoy voicing the technologies is fantastic. It's the last of the “square-grid” Civ games too, all later mainline ones were hexagonal, I believe.
74. Fibbage 4
This is probably the newest game on my list, but I love Fibbage, and this version of it is what I consider the best, what with its differing question types, fan questions, and a great visual style.
73. Evil Genius 2
I'm putting Evil Genius 2 a little lower than the original, but it's still a great base building game that expands its predecessor, with four (later five) evil geniuses to choose from. It also has multiple bases, so you can conquer the world from wherever. Also, the steady flow of your minions is better put together here. It's just a little lower because no Alexis.
72. Scarface: The World is Yours
Ah, Scarface. One of my favorite movies gets a “quasi-sequel” because this game starts with the classic shootout at the end of the movie (and you will die if you don't turn around and kill The Skull) and is about Tony rebuilding his empire and getting revenge on Sosa. The voice cast is fantastic and the music is kicking. See if you can find the PC version, there's a great fan-made patch for it.
71. Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
Pirate's Curse is heavily regarded to be the best of the Shantae games, and I have to agree. The pirate gear adds a lot to Shantae's normal skill set, along with being a different style of play since it doesn't have any genie powers, unlike the other Shantae games. It's still a fun time.

The second major expansion pack for Sid Meiers Civilization V, Brave New World adds nine new civilizations and also overhauls the social policy system. If you already have Gods and Kings and you want to buy BNW, then the two can be active at the same time. Couldn't even get through the tutorial it was so buggy. hold up I saw you in my notifications on my gaming blog from like, 3 weeks ago. please list your favorite games. i would really like to know
Uh oh, you got me :3 heh.
That is such a hard question?! How dare you....xxx
But okay, I’ll try and list some, in no particular order - though, I sadly have to tell you that there aren’t many games I actually finished because I’m bad at finishing games. Just want to play them forever. I finished some of them, but not even half of them I suppose.
So here you go (sorry for the long answer...):
Settlers III - game of my childhood, still love it. important to me. be it blessed!
Sid Meier’s Civilization III, IV and V - the III one was my childhood as well and my love just grew from there. not everyone’s cup of tea but very important to me.
Assassin’s Creed - the whole franchise tbh, but my faves are Unity, Black Flag and Syndicate. I’m playing Origins right now and I like that too. Arno Dorian my beloved. Haven’t yet played the new ones, but I’m gonna.
Uncharted 4 - I just really love it. Can’t explain why?? Nathan Drake is also nice to look at.
Skyrim - A classic. I tend to play it hardcore for months, then get overwhelmed and abandon my character and having to restart. :-/ I’ve played it a LOT, but before getting Steam, so lots is lost.
7 Days To Die - PC version, but the Playstation version has rights, 100%. Bless them for never finishing the Playstation version <3 The bugs are perfection. Maybe the only zombie apocalypse game I can play without having a heart attack.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons - Simple, so beautiful and I really love it. I really recommend it all the time. It’s a great Co-op.
A Way out - Another great co-op. I got whiplash from the twist(s) the first time I played it. Great storyline.
Life Is Strange - I loved the concept and the characters, trope-y as they were. <3 I also like the other games associated with it, haven’t played Tell Me Why though yet, but I own it. It just sits in my games library, waiting and judging me.
Fallout 4 - I get overwhelmed by it all the time but it is top tier. Love it.
Stardew Valley - Wholesome, spectacular, I need and support it.
To The Moon - GREAT storyline, simple graphics, soundtrack is SO GOOD.
The Dark Eye: River of Time - I played this a lot 10 years ago and I even wrote a fanfic, that’s how much I loved the characters.
Honorable mentions: Sims 3 (my beloved), ARK Survival Evolved (very confusing for me at first but love!), Dawn of Man (dope!), Edna & Harvey: Breakout (wild!!!!), The Dark Eye: Drakensang (childhood! love!), The Witcher games, any Super Mario Brothers game, Pokémon Yellow Edition for the Gameboy Colour (heh.)
So. Yeah. I’m sure I forgot some...

6.5: でっかいフィギュアの存在が、せっかくだからこいつを買ってマップに放ってみるか、というモチベーションを作り、その結果、戦が始まるので、ゲーム的な意味がしっかりあると思った次第です。

5.0: 見た目で買ったら、プレイ感がちんまりしすぎてて、まさかのゲーム中にギブアップ宣言。

6.5: 映えると思ってソーシャルメディアに写真を上げると、逮捕されるという罪なゲーム。

6.5: （2人プレイ時） 2人以外では遊ぶ気にならないゲームの筆頭。

7.5: 生活の再現性を突き詰めていったらできてしまった拡張か？ そこまで大きい拡張ではないものの、このロールプレイングゲームにとっては選択肢が増えるということが重要だと思う。
ドリームホーム 完全日本語版 (Dream Home)
5.5: この印象の残らなさはすごい。ただ、ちゃちゃっと終わるのは良い。
アルルの丘 日本語版 (Fields of Arle)
8.5: まさかのドイツ語版からの買い直し。勝ち負けを気にせず、己の生活に没頭できるピースフルな2人用ゲーム。本質は「そっちの調子はどうよ？ソリティア」。
ゲーム・オブ・スローンズ：ウェスタロスの陰謀 (Game of Thrones: Intrigue)
6.0: ペンギンパーティー in ウェスタロス。タイルを出し切ると追加勝利点のガチャが引けて、逆転のチャンスが増えているのは良い調整。
ゲーム・オブ・スローンズ：王の手 (A Game of Thrones: Hand of the King)
6.0: 実質2人専用。カード効果は原作ファンでないとピンと���ないので注意！
ル・アーブル コンプリートパック 日本語版 (Le Harve)
未プレイ：こちらも買い直し。
キングダムビルダー：収穫 (Kingdom Builder: Harvest)
未プレイ：Big Boxでなく普通の基本の箱になんとか今までの拡張を全部収納できるという情報を得て、それを試したかっただけという……
ハイヴ・ポケット (Hive Pocket)
6.5: 良アブストラクト。スライド移動というコマの動きの制限と手触りを考えれば、通常サイズのやつを買えば良かったかな、なんとも。
パルサー2849 日本語版 (Pulsar 2849)
8.5: 今年のベスト。語弊があることを覚悟しつつ、ガイアプロジェクトのあの感じをコンパクトに収めているのが素晴らしい。

7.0: ワーカーの位が上がっていき、だんだんと打てるアクションが増えていくというデザインはわかりやすくて良い。システムとテーマも合ってる。
キングスウィル (The King's Will)
6.5: ブラックファイアのコンプリートのために購入。プエルトリコのアクション選択とトロワ風の目的カード。ディベロップ次第でもう少し伸びしろがありそうなのがブラックファイアっぽい。
クアックサルバー (Die Quacksalber von Quedlinburg)
7.0: ドラマを演出できれば、運ゲーは成立するという好例。
タルバ 拡張 (Taluva Extension)
6.5: この線の中にしかタイルを置けません、と境界線を引いただけでゲームのシビアさが増す。拡張ってほどの拡張でもないけど、これがなかなか効く。
カードライン：恐竜編 日本語版 (Cardline: Dinosaurs)
6.0: 恐竜だいすき！
覇王龍城 日本語版 (Dragon Castle)
6.0: 上海です。これも実質2人専用のような。

6.5: ファミリー向けのピック＆デリバリーと見せかけて、なかなか骨太なゲーム。これくらいのプレイ時間とインタラクション、ボードゲームをやってるな〜と気分になる。

7.0: ちょっと古くさいですが、誰かが死ぬゲームは良いゲームです。自分が死ななければ！ 新版によりフィレンツェ語が爆誕。素直にPegasus版のドイツ語表記を英語に変えてくれるだけで良かったのに……
ストーンエイジ：10周年記念版 (Stone Age: Anniversary)
未プレイ 7.0: 値段と箱の厚みに大して、そこまでコンポーネントが良くなっているかというと全然！ せめて「文明への第一歩」拡張の要素くらい入れましょうよ……
アルティプラーノ：旅人たち (Altiplano: Travelers)
未プレイ： 本体を積んだまま拡張まで買ってしまう現象も一語で表現したいですよね〜

6.5: よくわからない絵面のパズルを組み立てて虚無に襲われるゲーム。テーマと絵面とコンポーネントの質を見直したやつが欲しくなる。……と思ったら、第2版が出るって？
ヘヴン＆エール (Heaven & Ale)
7.5: 全くテーマがはまってないのに、なまじ面白いから困る。私はテーマがちゃんとはまってる分、リバーボートのほうが好きです。
ソレニア (Solenia)
6.5: ちまちまピック＆デリバリーとヘンギスト風ベルトスクロールというヤバめのマッシュアップも杞憂に終わる。コンパクトで締りのある軽量ゲームに仕上がってる。多分4人だとゲームにならなそう。例のごとく3人ベストっぽい。
フランチャイズ (Franchise)
6.0: 胡椒袋のリメイク。元のルールよりすっきりしているとのことだが、元を知らないのでなんとも評価できない！ 得点行動を行うと自分の収入が減リ、打てるアクションが弱まっていく。縮小再生産でクロージングするという独特のプレイ感。収入重視から得点重視に切り替えるタイミングが非常に悩ましい。ただ、メカニカルすぎて果たしてテーマが乗ってるのかすら怪しい。
コンコルディア：ヴィーナス（拡張） (Concordia - Extension Venus)
未プレイ：コンコルディアの拡張はミニ拡張含めて全部持っていますが何ひとつ遊んだことがありません。
ニュートン (Newton)
8.0 マルコポーロ＆モンバサのマッシュアップといった趣のテクニカルすごろく。勝ち手のパターンを検証するためにリプレイしたい。ただ、テットアップ次第でスベりそうな懸念もある。

Civilization 6 Release Date
The bane of gamers across the world who have to get to work early next morning, the Civilization franchise is perhaps the most addictive set of games ever created. You look at the clock, and you know that you should probably go to sleep. What’s the harm in just one more turn, right? Well, before you know it, hours have passed, the birds have started chirping and the rising sun’s orange glow has begun to stream through the windows. This is a story that most Civilization players are all too painfully familiar with.

First launched nearly three decades ago in 1991, the Civilization series has since gone through 6 different iterations in the main series, with several spin offs such as 2014’s ‘Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth’. The latest game in the main franchise, ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization VI’, launched in 2016 and has since been treated to two expansion packs as well. Traditionally, this would be about the time when developer Firaxis Games would start work on their next title, which may very well be ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization VII’. While it is still early days, here’s everything we know about the Civilization franchise and a potential ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization VII’ game in the future:
Civilization VI initially released the New Frontier Pass in May of 2020, but we’ve continued to see new pieces of it drop, and now, we finally know what to expect in the sixth and final DLC. The long wait agony has finally ended for the Sid Meier Civilization fans, when Civilization: Beyond Earth, or Civilization VI, has been finally released to PC gamers last October 24, 2014, while Mac user had to wait just a little bit and got the release on November 27, 2014.
Civilization 7 Plot: What is it About?
The Civilization games are a series of turn based 4X games, and currently one of the oldest ongoing video game franchises in existence. As the player, you are put in complete charge of an ancient civilization of your choosing sometime right after the dawn of the agricultural age. Every empire has its own unique backstory, strengths, weaknesses, structure and leaders. As the leader of your kingdom, you must build cities and infrastructure, cultivate food to feed your people, research new technologies, build and maintain armies, spread your religion and much more through the centuries while constantly dealing with other foreign civilizations who may, or may not be hostile to your cause.
At its core though, the story in any Civilization game is what you make of it. While every Civilization in the game has its own backstory, traditions, predilections and quirky leaders inspired from real history, the actual storyline of every single individual match of Civilization differs from player to player, and playthrough to playthrough. A player striving to win via diplomacy and political maneuvering will have a very different story to tell compared to his compatriot who might prefer to raise massive armies and obliterate everything in his path.
Civilization 7 Gameplay
The Civilization games perfectly embody the sentiment “Easy to learn, but hard to master”. Being a turn based strategy game, the player is provided a bird’s-eye macro view of the game world and tasked with ensuring the total victory of your empire on the world stage. This type of strategy game is often also referred to as a 4X game, referring to the four basic gameplay tenets of this genre – explore the world, expand your empire, exploit the available resources and exterminate your enemies.

Similar to many board games, players take turns one after the other to move their units, build new structures, generate new units, research new technologies, formulate their religious, economic and social policies and much more. The primary currencies in the Civilization games are gold and various resources such as food, livestock, iron, coal, etc. found randomly littered across the map. The player can use these resources to set up trade agreements with the other civilizations, or even gift them in exchange for political favors.
Up until ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization IV’, the world map was divided into square grids which formed the fundamental basis for unit movement. Units could move from one square grid to another, and multiple units could be stacked on a single grid as well. However, 2010’s ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization V’ introduced hexagonal grids for the first time ever, along with a restriction on stacking multiple units on the same grid. This was a welcome enhancement, as it allowed for more granular military strategy and movements, as well as giving the world a more organic feel.
The newest addition to the series, ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization VI’ also utilizes the hex based grid system, but also supplements it with some sweeping changes to city development and city management. Now, certain city improvements can only be made in specific specialized districts. For example, military units can only be trained in Encampment districts whereas the Campus district is focused on science and research. This new district mechanic adds another layer of strategy to the game, as invading armies can launch targeted strikes against specific districts of a city in order to cripple its regular operations.

The technology tree in ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization VI’ has also undergone a facelift, now with two distinct pathways – the Active Research System which is dependent on your civilization’s scientific output, and the Civics tree which oversees the civilization’s ideological and cultural progression.
If you find all this to be a tiny bit overwhelming, do not fret. All of the newer Civilization games feature a robust advisor mechanic which assigns you a personal advisor who will guide you through some of the more complex game mechanics and strategies.
Civilization 7 Developers: Who Are The People Behind It?

While initially conceived and developed by MicroProse Software, which was co-founded and led by the legendary game designer Sid Meier, every Civilization game since 1996’s ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization II’ has been developed by US based video game developer Firaxis Games. Sid Meier continues to serve as Director of Creative Development at Firaxis. Industry behemoth 2K Games has published all Civilization games from ‘Sid Meier’s: Civilization IV’ and onwards. In all likelihood, the next Civilization game will also be developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games.
Civilization 7 Release Date: When And Where Can I Play It?
While there has been no official confirmation yet, the Civilization franchise is so popular that a sequel is pretty much a foregone conclusion. It is not a matter of if, but rather, when. Based on recent trends, Firaxis and 2K Games tend to release a new ‘Civilization’ game every 6-7 years. For instance, Civilization 5 came out in 2010. Six years later Civilization 6 released in 2016. Which means, we should expect ‘Civilization 7′ to release sometime in 2022 or 2023.
