Kinktober #1 - Handjob "Mission Accomplished"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fem!HumanReader x Neteyam or Lo'ak (you pick! 😉)
Summary: You've been asked to fill in for Norm on one of his Na'vi patient observations, except this isn't any old observation appointment... You need to collect a semen sample and the appointment doesn't go at all to professional plan...
Warnings: 🔞 Sexual content 18+, MDNI 🔞 Word count: 4.6k
Author's Note: Happy Kinktober everyone! 😁 I'm late with this prompt as it was completely unplanned. I got inspired late last night after posting Part 4 of 'The Love Shack' and this is what my brain spat out! As usual, my inability to write short drabbles means that what was meant to be a short, sweet kink-scene turned out to be 4.6k. I've not used any names in this piece, so you're free to imagine either Neteyam or Lo'ak as the male lead in this. Enjoy the spice ya'll!
Tagging some mooties who may be interested (no pressure though): @pandoraslxna @blue-slxt @adrianarose7 @vintaqestar @eyweveng @qcswrites @daeneeryss @oasiswithmyg @delacruzyari @teymars @neteluvr @sulieykte @teyamsatan
And OMG (I feel absolutely rotten for overlooking this until now) - Thank you to the incredible @cinetrix for her render of Neteyam which I've used in the story cover.
You swallowed tightly as Dr Blaise briefed you around the purpose of today’s observation and what was required of you. Your heart was galloping in your chest and you could feel yourself breaking out into a nervous sweat. It amazed you how unconcerned and unaffected she was about the whole thing.
“It’s a simple observation. We’re looking for any key physical differences in appearance, as well as any differences in physiological function.” Dr Blaise stated casually, “No swabs or bloods needed today. Just some notes, photos, and a semen sample. There are sample collection jars in the consultation bay already.”
A semen sample… Good Lord, she said that with all the nonchalance of someone asking for a saliva sample. Though you figured that’s what medical professionalism was all about, right? No awkwardness, no emotion, just plain science and fact.
When Dr Norm Spellman had said that he was writing a book about Pandoran Biology and Na’vi Physiology, you’d jumped at the opportunity to be involved. After all, Pandora was your home. It was the only home you’d ever known. As one of the only two human babies to be born on Pandora, you and Spider were the only generation of humans who’d never known the dying mother planet Earth.
Unlike Spider though who had taken to life on Pandora like a duckling to water, scaling trees, swinging from branches and pretty much adopting himself into the Omatikaya clan, you weren’t anywhere near as outgoing. You’d stuck to the medical labs and the avatar camp for majority of your life, rarely venturing out into the wilderness except to accompany the other scientists on their excursions. Perhaps the only similarity you shared with Spider was that you too were an orphan of war. Your parents had been on the frontlines of the battle between Toruk Makto and the RDA, and they’d met their maker on that fateful day.
You were just an intern currently, but the older staff and scientists were more than willing to teach you. Doing lab observations, drawing blood and other lab technician work was your job, so this morning’s appointment shouldn’t have been any different. And yet it was.
You’d never had to collect a semen sample before.
“Patient is a young unmated male, 23 years of age. Fit. Occupation is hunter-warrior. No pre-existing medical conditions and no recent injuries.” Dr Blaise rationally, handing you the clipboard and pen, “The patient has also been briefed about this appointment, so he knows what to expect and he’s aware he needs to produce a sample.”
“Right, understood.” You mumbled and the words were slightly hoarse. You cleared your throat, dislodging the sticky lump of uneasiness there.
Sensing your discomfort, Dr Blaise placed a heartening hand on your shoulder. Her eyes were kind and the crows’ feet at their corners crinkled as she smiled, “Look, the patient is friendly with the team, one of Jake Sully’s sons actually. So you needn’t worry about any hostility. You’ve done numerous observations and collected all sorts of samples. This is no different. It’s only awkward if you’re awkward. Besides, I’m sure you can understand why Dr Spellman didn’t want to conduct this particular observation himself, what with them being family friends and all.”
A giggle and snort left you at the humorous thought and you found you had to agree. Dr Blaise chuckled alongside you. It would definitely be ten times more awkward if the patient and medical professional were familiar with each other during this observation.
The fleeting moment of hilarity eased the nervous roil in your belly. Tucking your pen into the breast pocket of your lab coat, you took a deep breath and nodded, “Ok, I’ve got this. Thanks Dr Blaise.”
With two thumbs up and a wink, Dr Blaise turned and left you to depart down the corridor, her black pump heels clicking neatly across the hard floor.
Turning to the wall, you grabbed an exopack kit and hooked it to the leather belt around your hips. Tucking your hair behind your ears, you positioned the mask over your face and returned to the doorway that led into the consultation bay. The doorway was tall, much taller than you were used to. All the consultation bays were built big enough with high enough ceilings to accommodate the Na’vi and the avatars. While the main ventilation in the compound was suited to human lungs, the consultation bays were fitted with ventilation to suit their Pandoran patients. Scanning your ID card on the panel of blinking lights on your right, the door slid open with a hiss and you stepped into the bay.
The first thing that always hit you when you entered any of the consultation bays was the sterile scent of it. After a couple of years working here you’d think you’d have got used to it, but every single time the smell was like a synthetic slap to your senses. You wrinkled your nose in distaste. Everything smelled so chemical; too clean and too artificial. It was no wonder the Na’vi didn’t like being in here. If the smell was strong to your human nose, you could only imagine how much more potent it was to their heightened senses.
The second thing to hit you this morning was the sight of the magnificent creature that was standing in the corner of the bay, peering at the various medical models, instruments and books in the wall-mounted glass cabinet. He’d been facing away from you at first, but the sound of your footsteps had caught his attention and he turned to face you then.
A genial smile stretched across his face and he greeted you in a voice that was deep and warm, “Good morning, doctor.”
His use of English surprised you and while his words were accented, his pronunciation was clear. Go figure that Jake Sully would’ve taught his children to speak his mother tongue.
You gave a clumsy laugh and you were quick to correct your patient, “Oh, I’m not a doctor. I’m just an intern. I’m just filling in for Dr Spellman for this observation.”
Your patient grinned toothily at you and gave a nod of his head in acknowledgement, although his tone was teasing when he replied, “Alright Dr ‘Just-An-Intern’, where would you like me?”
You couldn’t help the giggle that bubbled up from your throat at his playful demeanour. You smiled at him. He was charming this one, handsome too. Like all Na’vi, he towered well above you in height at approximately nine and a half feet. Though you noted that he was very well-built. Courtesy of being a warrior, you supposed. Yes, he was muscular in all the places you appreciated in a male… You silently reprimanded yourself for your unprofessional thoughts.
“Just take a seat on that gurney for me.” You replied, gesturing towards the make-shift bed against the wall. Retrieving your pen, you began to scan through the notes at the top of the form on the clipboard, double-checking the patient’s details and ensuring everything on it was as it should be.
“Ah, do you want me to take my tewng (loincloth) off?”
Suddenly remembering the aim of the observation again, you felt hot blood rush to your cheeks and ears in embarrassment, “Umm, yes please.” And in a bid to stop your embarrassment running away with your courage, you launched into a rambling outline of the appointment agenda, “Today’s appointment is an observation around Na’vi male genitalia and sexual function. I’m going to need to make some notes and take some photographs of you, both in a r-relaxed and a-aroused state, and I’m going to need to collect a s-semen sample. If you feel uncomfortable at any point…”
He watched you attentively as you babbled onward, the smooth skin of your face and neck taking on a ruddy and flushed hue. He smiled to himself. You were shy and today’s agenda clearly made you uneasy. He felt a twinge of empathy for you. His father had told him that humans were private about matters of the body, especially where it came to sex and pleasure. The Na’vi held no such restraints; sexual freedom was celebrated.
He’d already removed his tewng and had perched himself on the gurney as instructed, unbothered and uncaring of his own nakedness. He was quietly enjoying your discomfort, but not in a rude or condescending manner. He actually found your unease rather endearing.
“Any questions?” Your prattling came to a finish and you took a deep inhale as if you’d squeezed every last ounce of oxygen out of your lungs rushing to finish your speech without taking another breath.
He graced you with another charming smile, “No. You may proceed.”
Willing yourself to get a grip, you walked on slightly shaky legs to the desk in the corner and plucked the glass tablet from its stand and returned to place it on the end of the gurney. You kept your eyes lowered to your clipboard, filling in the date and the time. You could see the striped cobalt of his muscular legs in your peripheral vision where he sat with his shins dangling off the gurney. For the meantime, you dared not glance any higher than his thighs…
Your eyes moved to a set of highlighted bullet points in the middle of the page that indicated questions the patient had to be asked.
You read the first question aloud, its meaning registering simultaneously in your brain as the words left your lips, “When was the last time you ejaculated?”
You fought the mortification that threatened to consume you and your mind struck up a chant of ‘stay professional, stay professional’ in your head.
“Yesterday morning.” His answer was composed.
“And was that with a partner or was it self-stimulated?” Fuck, maybe you should’ve read the questions before coming in for the observation…
“It was self-stimulated.”
“And do you have a preference for male partners, female partners, or both?”
“Female. Definitely female.”
His voice was a smooth, velvety rumble. You couldn’t put your finger on it, but something in his tone stroked over you like an invisible caress that made something clench in your lower belly. You scribbled his answers on the page in a messy scrawl that had more to do with your nerves than your actual style of handwriting.
He continued to observe you as you worked. Your knuckles were pale where your left hand gripped hold of the clipboard and you were so focused, almost concentrating too hard on what you were writing. Nose twitching quietly, he parted his lips and scented the air around. The artificial smell of the bay was unpleasant, but a sweeter and much more appealing smell was filling the vicinity now. Your scent.
The blush on your skin remained and he was sure that if he reached out to touch you that your skin would be hot to the touch where your blood had rushed to the surface. He could smell hints of your perspiration and he could also detect a musky and moist feminine undertone. You were attracted to him… His masculine pride delighted in the realisation. Despite your human form, he found you attractive too.
Finishing up your notes, you settled the clipboard down on the gurney and mentally prepared yourself for the ‘looking’ part of the observation.
Eyes still glued to the brown leather of the gurney’s mattress, you declared your next action, “Alright, just stay relaxed for me with your thighs slightly parted. I’m going to begin the physical part of the observation now.”
“Sure.”
Your gaze travelled from the beautiful stripes on his outer thighs inward to the slightly paler blue of his inner thighs and finally, up to his groin. Suddenly, you didn’t understand why you were so nervous about this. He looked fairly… normal? Apart from the general larger size of everything and the blue hue of his skin, everything was as expected. Feeling a little braver now, you grabbed the glass tablet and took a couple of photos and then set it down to return to your clipboard.
“Is everything the same?” He asked out of the blue, “Same as with human males, I mean.”
You looked to his face instinctively and found his amber eyes trained on you, “Ah yes, more or less. Penis, foreskin, testes; everything expected is there and I haven’t noted any real differences in physiology apart from the lack of hair, but that’s consistent with the lack of body hair all Na’vi have apart from on your heads and tail tufts.”
Following the words down the clipboard sheet you came to a section that was titled ‘Texture and Sensitivity’. You paused. How the fuck were you supposed to assess those? The section didn’t have any required questions or sample questions to help you, and no suggestions either, just a space for you to jot down your notes. You looked from your patient’s body and then to his face, and when he gave you a small smile, your gaze shot back down to your clipboard sheet in embarrassment. Texture and sensitivity were tactile aspects. You didn’t really understand how you could assess them without touching the patient.
Evidently you were taking too long in your deliberation, because your patient’s voice sounded again with a gentle query, “Is everything alright?”
“Yes, sorry. I’m just trying to work out how to assess the next bit.” You apologised sheepishly. You weren’t doing a very good job of appearing collected, you realised.
“What’s the next part?”
“Texture and sensitivity. So, what it feels like and which parts respond the most to touch.” You stated in as even a voice as possible. You huffed out a laugh then and shrugged, “It’s a tricky one because they’re tactile observations and I don’t know how to assess them when you can’t touch the patient.”
“Why can’t you touch the patient?” His response was clearly a surprise to you and he couldn’t suppress his grin as you goggled at him in shock, “You can touch me if it will enable you to do your job.”
You were almost about to say that you couldn’t possibly do that, but you stopped yourself. You were a med-science professional. The patient was consenting and your research required you to perform a physical examination. In a professional capacity, there was no reason you couldn’t touch the patient to achieve the intended outcome of the examination.
You remembered Dr Blaise’s words: It’s only awkward if you make it awkward. Fuck, you needed to swallow a bucket of concrete and toughen up. The sooner you completed this observation, the sooner you would be out of this uncomfortable situation.
Nodding resolutely, you agreed, “Alright, but you will guide me with your own hands. That way I can be assured that you’re only leading me where you’re comfortable to be examined.”
Your patient dipped his head in agreement, the tuft of his tail curling and uncurling charmingly on the gurney next to him. You set your clipboard down and moved to position yourself before him, standing between his knees. You lifted your eyes to his and they locked with his gentle gaze. Tentatively you offered him your hand and he took it, his large palm and long fingers engulfing it easily.
“So first up, texture?” He reminded, and you nodded.
Slowly, he brought your hand to his crotch and settled your hand over the shaft of his cock. It was very warm beneath your palm. Gently, your fingers tested the slightly springy flesh, noting how smooth and silken his skin was. At this closer proximity, you noticed that there was also spattering of bioluminescent freckles on the shaft. You made a mental note of that.
You touched the base of his cock, gingerly feeling around the length of it and you asked, “What’s the sensitivity like here?”
“I can feel it, but it’s not intense or anything. It’s more sensitive up here.” He guided your fingers nearer to the tip and you stifled a small gasp when he assisted you in pushing his foreskin back to reveal the smooth, dark purple head of his cock.
You’d never interacted with a naked man this close, human or Na’vi, and you certainly had never touched one in such an intimate place. Your body was starting to tingle in various places; in very unprofessional places. It was a surreal situation to be in and you found that you felt oddly calmer now than you were a few minutes ago.
Trailing the pads of your fingers over the smooth tip, you found it was moist and a little slippery. Your thumb tested the underside of it, “Sensation?”
A quiet hiss left him and you instinctively attempted to move your hand away, but his hold over your wrist kept it there, “That’s sensitive. That feels good.”
Your heart was still thumping and your cheeks were still warm, but it wasn’t nerves anymore that were causing your reaction. God, his skin was so soft and so warm… Your curiosity was growing now; your innate desire to explore taking hold of you.
You traced the raised rim of his cock head with your thumb and forefinger, watching as your patient emitted a rumbling groan. His hold on your wrist tightened and he began to move your hand over him. You intuitively wrapped your fingers around his cock. You felt entranced almost, caught up in the moment as you unwittingly began to enjoy the feel of him in your grasp.
The hot flesh in your hand was growing, elongating and engorging as the stimulation aroused him. You watched, amazed, as it swelled to its full capacity. The fingers and thumb of your hand could no longer meet each other. The girth of his cock was easily the same width as your forearm and by your approximations, it looked like it had also more than doubled in length from its relaxed state.
The erect shaft had lengthened out of his foreskin and it was a lovely shade of striated blue all over, except for a paler purple underside and head. In its aroused state, you discovered that while it shared structural similarities to a human male’s genitalia, it also possessed other aspects which were very different. The engorged shaft of his cock was ridged all along its length and as your hand smoothed up and down the column of it, you noted that the ridges were firm and palpable against your hand.
It was the most arousing thing you’d ever seen… Those ridges must feel so good inside for the woman…
You didn’t perceive his eyes on you, watching you as you explored his hard flesh. You were so engrossed that you didn’t even cotton on to the fact that he wasn’t even guiding your hand anymore. He could smell you, smell your arousal dampening between your thighs and the sight of your much smaller hand stroking and squeezing his cock was incredibly sexy.
You ran your enclosed hand in one full stroke from the base of cock and up to the head of it, fascinated by the ridged texture of it and the slippery, bulbous tip. However, your patient emitted a hissing intake of breath then and you jumped a little, snapping out of your thoughts.
“S-Sorry! Is that painful?” You stammered, shooting him a slightly apologetic frown.
He shook his head with a husky chuckle, “No, it’s just very sensitive. A lot more than earlier.”
“Where?” You asked, stroking him from tip to base and back up again.
“Everywhere. The ridges and the head especially.” His voice was notably breathier than before and his breaths were coming quicker, shallower and less even.
“That is fascinating.” You muttered, and your other hand joined in on your exploration. You fondled his balls lightly, observing the weightiness of them.
Your patient grunted and he parted his thighs a bit more. He leaned back to brace his weight on his palms behind him. He gave a small roll of his hips, which caused the top half of his cock to push and pull within your grasp. He moaned and the sound shot straight to the apex of your thighs. When you didn’t object, he continued the motion, thrusting lightly into your hands, both of which were now grasping his length one on top of the other.
Clear and viscous pre-ejaculate began to ooze from his tip, increasing in quantity with each roll of his hips. It was so copious that it was beginning to pool on the backs of your palms and drip down towards your wrist. Lord help you… there was nothing professional anymore about what you were doing… Not that your patient appeared to have any objections…
Still completely spellbound by the situation, your curiosity pushed a murmured query past your lips, “Is there always so much pre-ejaculate?”
“Depends. Generally the more aroused a man is, the more he produces.” He replied and when your bashful gaze lifted to meet his, he smirked wickedly.
You were such a pretty little thing to him, your smaller hands trying their best to keep hold of his slick cock. He knew that this was beyond the normal boundaries of the appointment. He knew that while you would’ve been required to touch him to examine him, stroking him off was probably not anywhere on the agenda. He suspected he was supposed to produce the sample on his own, but looking at you now, so enraptured by his body… How could he have resisted? And besides, he knew you were enjoying this as much as he was, your scent told him so.
You tightened your hold on his cock experimentally, squeezing harder. Each time the swollen head of his cock pushed out of your hands to greet you, you swiped your thumb over the oozing slit on its tip. He was panting heavily now, his impressive abdominals bunching and flexing as he continued to thrust his thick cock through your hold. The bioluminescent freckles that dotted his shaft were glimmering brightly and you never thought you’d ever use the word ‘beautiful’ to describe genitalia, but his cock was gorgeous.
All of him was gorgeous, truth be told…
You were attracted to Na’vi men. Ever since you were old enough to notice the opposite sex, you’d been drawn to male Na’vi. After all, you’d grown up on this moon, inhabited by and surrounded by tall, beautiful Na’vi. The humans who surrounded you at the compound and the camp were your family, and they were all much older. There were no men of your own species to look at or be attracted to. Spider was the only one of your generation and he was like your annoying, gross brother. Your attraction to Na’vi men had been an inevitable result really.
So now as you stood in the consultation bay, between the knees of this striking and aroused Na’vi male while he pumped his cock in and out of your hands, you’d never felt more validated and aroused in your life.
Your patient’s fingers were digging into the squeaky brown leather of the gurney now, straining slightly as his hips continued their onslaught. Your hands and wrists were completely drenched, soaking in his thick pre-cum. The slippery mess caused his cock to squelch obscenely as it slipped through your hold. The whole situation was so sensually explicit and you were never more thankful in your life than you were now that there were no CCTV cameras installed in the consultation bays.
You’d be expelled from your chosen profession for patient abuse… Though by the half-lidded, slack-jawed expression of pleasure on his face, he didn’t look much like he was being unwillingly abused…
A string of Na’vi curses left him then, followed by several panted moans. He abruptly pushed off his palms to sit upright and he stuttered, “W-Where is the container?”
A little stunned by his sudden and urgent tone, you stumbled in your own response, “The w-what? Oh, the sample jar?”
Panting heavily through parted lips, he nodded at you and you pointed to the desk on his left. You saw his gaze follow your eyeline and when he caught sight of the plastic collection jars that sat patiently waiting, he let out a hearty guffaw.
He reached for one and deftly flicked the already loosened lid from its mouth, still chuckling away between his huffing breaths, “It’s so small. You ready, doc?”
“For what?” You asked, realising only as the words left you what a dumb response it was as he handed the sample jar to you.
Your patient smiled at you and it was a salacious leer, all narrowed eyes and pointed canines showing, “You’re about to get your sample.”
One of his hands returned to guide yours, wrapping around your one remaining hand where it encircled his stiff cock. The pace of this rocking thrusts increased and he began to exhale with throaty moans that you swore made your own feminine core throb with desire. Gingerly, you held the collection jar up to him, being extra careful not to drop it.
With two more lurching breaths, his abdominal muscles contracted and his back bowed inward, his entire torso going rigid. You felt his cock harden impossibly before it pulsed and the breath he was holding left him in a coarse growl while his face twisted into an almost pained expression. His cock pulsed again and the first spurt of ejaculate missed the sample jar entirely, landing with a warm splat in the middle of your chest where the frills of your blue blouse peeked out from behind your lab coat. Quickly, his free hand grabbed hold of yours to position the jar better, while his other hand attempted to position his cock so he could shoot straight into it.
He was absolutely breathtaking in the midst of his orgasm. The luminous freckles on his face were twinkling and the striped cobalt skin of his neck and chest was glossy with a sheen of sweat. His cock continued to throb and pulse, emitting rope after rope of thick cum that splattered untidily over the mouth and sides of the sample jar.
You could see why he’d laughed at the size of it. There was no way the small jar could have held the full volume of what he was producing.
Coming down now off the high of his climax, your patient slouched against the wall behind the gurney, breathing hard. He caught your eye and he grinned indolently at you.
The adrenalin and heightened arousal in the atmosphere was fading rapidly now, and cold, hard reality was slowly returning to you. You looked at the pearlescent contents of the sample jar, which was still decently full despite majority of the sample not making it in there. You smiled to yourself.
Mission accomplished and what an exciting mission it was…
Carefully setting the jar down on the flat worktop of the metal sink next to you, you replaced the lid on it with sticky fingers and made a note to thoroughly wipe the jar down later before handing it to the lab techs.
Returning your attention to your patient, you smiled at him, suddenly shy again, “Thank you for your co-operation today. I’ll leave you to clean and freshen up. You can see yourself out after.”
His answering laugh was husky and he dipped his head at you, “I should be thanking you for your co-operation I think, doc.”
“Not a doc, remember?” You grinned at him and you were about to turn on heel to depart into the adjacent washroom when you heard him call out to you again.
“Hey Not-A-Doc, if you ever need another sample, I’m happy to provide another one, whether for med-science research or your own personal research.”
A girlish giggle left you and you felt your face flame again. You shook your head, making your way into the washroom to clean yourself up. He was a naughty one that one…

PANDORA, 2154+
Everything is connected, one way or another. From the tiny stem of a plant, to the pa'li that steps on it, and to the ginormous tree looming over it. Pandora is made up of various different sizes of networks, from microscopic to gigantic. Some are easier to see than others. The network of tree branches and roots is clearly visible, but there are small ones, not physically distinct, and Eywa can see it all as clear as day.
The same goes for two souls. When two Na'vi-- when two souls mate, they are mated for life. It won't matter if they met when they were children or if their paths meet when they are old and wrinkled. Two souls are still two souls, meant for each other no matter how or when they meet.
Tsu'tey, like all Na'vi, believed this to be true. Sylwanin was the soul meant for him, ever since they were children. However, Eywa had other plans in mind for the young couple and destiny tragically separated them, forever shattering their former entwined paths. Later in life, Tsu'tey finally accepted that all things happen for a reason, and perhaps in another life, Sylwanin would have been his mate. But in this life, Eywa protects the balance of it all and in order for Jake Sully to one day arrive and save this beautiful world, beautiful souls like Sylwanin would have to be sacrificed. Tsu'tey came to terms with this one day, weeks after the battle against the Sky People.
He had plenty of time to think about many things, lying in his nivi and resting from his injuries. As Toruk Makto, Jake happily took temporary command of the Omatikaya clan whilst their olo'eyktan healed from his wounds. It would be a long journey for Tsu'tey, but those who respect him and call him 'brother' were just happy he survived that fall and all those gunshots. At first, he was not as happy or even relieved. Why would Eywa deny him the chance to see Sylwanin again? As he took time to heal, he eventually mourned properly for the first time in years and was able to heal mentally as well as physically. Tsu'tey had finally managed to let his young love go, may she rest in peace.
In return for his loyalty and devotion, Eywa rewarded her olo'eyktan with a gift fit for a good man. However, it would be years before he graciously accepted it.
Tsu'tey was always aware of the other sky demons possessing Na'vi bodies. He had seen many over the years, especially when he was just a student in Grace Augustine's school. He had always found them strange and ugly and didn't hesitate to let Jake know how he felt about his appearance. Jake never took it to heart and eventually learned to laugh at such comments. Tsu'tey grimaced, almost hating the fact that Jake was getting used to him. The other dreamwalkers --"Avatars, brother, they're called avatars,"-- never really got used to him but they greatly respected him, especially after Tsu'tey allowed them to live among the Omatikaya once the rest of the Sky People were sent off-world. He had accepted these 'scientists' and 'avatars' into his village, much to Toruk Makto's influence, and so therefore, over time, Tsu'tey began to treat them all as part of the People-- his people.
As he accepted the sky demons, he also began to learn their names. One of which he was always aware of but had never bothered to learn her name.
Y/n was an avatar driver and a scientist. Even though she hadn't been on Pandora for long, she had been allowed to visit Hometree several times before its destruction, always tagging along when either Grace or Norm Spellman visited. She was part of the young group of scientists who had received an avatar before the battle against the Sky People that actively cut off the scientists' funding to make more, therefore she would be one of the last of them, as would Norm and Jake. In many ways, it was like watching the end of a species that would cease to exist once the avatars all died out. That is until children like Kiri and Lo'ak were born.
By the time Neytiri bore Jake their first son and had adopted Grace's daughter born of mysterious circumstances, Tsu'tey had begun to notice that Y/n was not just a random avatar who opted to stay on Pandora. She had also opted into becoming a mother.
It was safe to say Tsu'tey didn't know of Spider's existence firmly because the baby wasn't old enough to wear a mask and exo-pack yet, therefore he had never visited the village. It wasn't until the fierce olo'eyktan followed Jake to the functional biolab of Hell's Gate one day did he finally meet the next generation of Sky People. At first, Spider was strange to him. With a full head of yellow curls, pink skin, and a gummy smile, Tsu'tey gained enough willpower not to verbally comment about how the sky demons' offspring were even uglier than the avatars. Jake had asked him to be civil prior to this meeting, so he indulged his brother out of respect for Toruk Makto.
If Y/n had seen how put-off Tsu'tey was by her son, she didn't mention it. In fact, she barely acknowledged the clan leader, instead devoting her time to making sure her adventurous toddler didn't get into any trouble. Much to all the scientists' dismay, the child had learned to run before he could walk, therefore the attempts to baby-proof the whole place had been frantic and half-assed at best. But wherever Spider ran, Y/n was not too far behind him, always making a game of the chase and making the toddler laugh until his sides hurt.
From what Tsu'tey had learned, Spider is not Y/n's child by blood. The baby had been left behind when the Sky People left, too young for space travel. Everyone was positive that his biological mother was killed during the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains, and as for his father... from vague descriptions, Tsu'tey had gathered who the man was and decided not to ask any further. Now, in replace of Spider's biological parents came Y/n. Even though the scientists were all more than happy to help raise the kid together as a village, Y/n had become his sole guardian, claiming that Spider should always have that one person to rely on before all others. She had gone on record stating that the boy needs a mother before a village and he shouldn't be treated as an object or a pet the Sky People pass around. No one questioned her, especially when shown how everything she does she does it for the boy and not for her own selfish needs. The scientists all proudly took the roles of aunts and uncles to the boy, but by all rights except blood, Y/n was Spider's mother. She fed and bathed the baby, clothed him, nurtured him, and sang songs to get him to sleep. Sure, she would let the other scientists help with Spider if she needed to take her avatar out for a drive, but she was determined to be Spider's family when no one had formally stepped up.
Even though he didn't realize it back then, Tsu'tey had come to greatly admire Y/n for her sacrifice and determination to raise a child all on her own. She didn't expect anyone to help and she took motherhood in stride. She acted as if she was always meant to be a mother and she had been waiting for this moment her whole life. After first meeting Spider, Tsu'tey wouldn't visit Hell's Gate for some time and didn't often think about the human child or his mother. It would be years before Tsu'tey is reacquainted with them, their paths crossing once more, and only because Spider was finally old enough to wear a mask.
PANDORA, 2163
Spider was nine years old when he first donned a breathing mask and ventured out into the vast world of Pandora, leaving the square walls of the biolab behind him. The scientists had made it into a whole celebration like it was his birthday, providing gifts of Na'vi-make and even a cake before he got too antsy and was ready to go outside. His mother was equally excited for him. Dawning her avatar, Y/n brought Spider outside after triple-checking that his mask was firmly in place. She first let the boy wander into the treeline a little bit to get the feeling of grass beneath his feet and let him try to climb the trees like the little spider monkey he was named after. He had struggled to climb the first couple of tries but managed to get the hang of it before Y/n took him on a ride aboard her ikran that she had tamed only a few years prior.
While Norm was able to gain a banshee not long after the war, Y/n had decided to wait out her training to become a Na'vi warrior due to raising a human child who couldn't go everywhere with her. Once Spider was old enough not to need his mother every minute of the day, she finally felt comfortable with occasionally leaving Hell's Gate and learning the ways of the Omatikaya. The start of her Iknimaya went smoothly due to the number of teachers she had, and eventually, she came home flying her very own ikran. Spider squealed and laughed from his bedroom window at the sight of the creature, already in love as if his mother had just brought a stray cat home. Y/n immediately sat her son down to gently let him know that an ikran is not a pet and demands respect and space. However, the ikran appeared more than happy to act like the family pet, curiously watching Spider from behind the window and resting right underneath said window whenever the creature wasn't out flying.
And when Spider was finally allowed to go outside, the boy and ikran finally got to officially meet. It was like watching a rescued animal find its forever home. Immediately cozying up and trusting the nine-year-old, the ikran allowed Spider to hug its whole face in his arms while jumping up and down happily. With excitement, Spider begged his mother to take him on a ride and finally, he got to learn what it was like to fly.
Y/n immediately flew Spider to the village so he can lay eyes on all the Na'vi for the first time. The People were happy to greet the child after hearing so many stories from his mother. The Omatikaya had grown to love Y/n and the other scientists as part of the People once they had begun to learn the Na'vi way and tame their own banshees, so when the Na'vi were finally introduced to Spider, it was like meeting the first grandbaby of the family! Everyone wanted to hold Spider due to the fascination of the fact he was still so small at his age, and the kid happily ate up all the attention. Through his excitement, he kept jumping between languages when speaking, but most of the Omatikaya were able to grasp the boy's words with ease and would respond in kind. Eventually, Y/n managed to bring her kid to the Sully marui without too many people resisting, and so Spider got to meet his best friends for the first time.
Jake and Neytiri excitedly welcomed Spider, hugging him and dragging him inside like he was a nephew who had been far away from home for far too long. Y/n followed them into the home, smiling fondly as Spider was introduced to Neteyam, Kiri, and Lo'ak. All three Sully kids were very bug-eyed and curious about this new friend. And for the first time since arriving in the village, Spider was suddenly shy with all the attention he was getting. He ran back to Y/n and hid behind her legs, nervously holding her tail while peeking at the kids behind his mask. The adults all laughed while the Sully kids continued to ask Spider questions until finally, he got comfortable enough to come out of hiding. Y/n and Spider stayed for dinner that evening after the kids begged their parents to let them stay so Spider could play. Once they got over poking and prodding Spider with interest, the two Na'vi boys and girl kept dragging him everywhere, frantically wanting to show him all their toys and favorite hiding spots, acting like he was leaving forever the moment he and Y/n would eventually step out of their home. The adults calmly remind the children that now that Spider is big enough to wear a mask, both he and Y/n would be coming back to the village as many times as they want, but that didn't convince the kids to slow down.
Tsu'tey was invited to dinner as well, but due to his responsibilities, he arrived late and could only stay for a little while. Y/n happily greeted him like an old friend -they had only met a few times over the years-, pressing her fingers to her forehead and lowering them in his direction, "Olo'eyktan. Oel ngati kameie."
Tsu'tey gestured in response out of respect but otherwise said nothing. Had he still been younger and just a warrior, Tsu'tey would've been able to help mentor Y/n during her Iknimaya trials. But due to being olo'eyktan now, he had to hand down those responsibilities to someone who had the time to do so, therefore his meetings with Y/n were far, and few in-between. As she was training, there were communal dinners where both parties were cordial to one another, entertaining small talk but otherwise keeping their respective distance. Y/n had become closer to Jake, Neytiri, and their growing family, therefore she and Tsu'tey saw each other more than usual but still in passing, like two ships in the night. Tsu'tey was like a teacher and an uncle to the Sully children, while Y/n was becoming to be a friend of the family. Now that Spider was in the picture, Tsu'tey had a feeling he had not seen the last of the mother and son.
If everyone thought Spider was shy meeting the Sully kids, they had not seen Spider meeting Tsu'tey. The boy immediately straightened his back and froze like a deer in headlights. Despite being shy and refusing to say a word, the human child looked at Tsu'tey in awe of him, recognizing his station as the clan leader of the Omatikaya. Y/n laughed and gathered her son up in her arms when he couldn't move, facing Tsu'tey so both Na'vi man and human child could get a better look at each other, "Spider, this is Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyo'itan. You've met before, but you were too little to remember. He is olo'eyktan. Do you remember what we say when greeting someone new?"
Under Tsu'tey's stare, Spider's hand shook as he brought his tiny fingers to the top brim of his breathing mask before lowering it in the Na'vi man's direction, speaking just above a whisper, "O-- Oel ngati kameie..."
The marui is silent and the boy waits with bated breath. To Spider's credit and everyone's amazement, Tsu'tey thinly smiled and made the same hand movement back to the child, "You speak very good, taronyutsyìp. Your mother and other caretakers have taught you well."
Spider's frozen shock had broken in exchange for a large, beaming wide smile, staring at Tsu'tey as if the man had just handed him the world. Y/n smiled at her adorable son's reaction and gratefully nodded to Tsu'tey before the moment was broken by none other than Jake's teasing, "How come you weren't complimenting me when I was learning, brother?"
"Because you were a teylupil prrnen who had to hold Neytiri's hand every step of the way," Tsu'tey was quick to respond but made sure to only speak in a hushed voice which only the adults could hear.
Neytiri playfully scolded Tsu'tey for his language and shoved a small niktsyey into his hands before he could leave, all the children confused as to why both Jake and Y/n were laughing to the point they had missed Tsu'tey sneaking out of the pod.
~~~~~~~~~
That was indeed, not the last time Tsu'tey would see Y/n and Spider. The next time they visited the village was a week later, and Tsu'tey wasn't even aware of their presence until his evening tasks were disrupted by a small force running into his legs and hugging them tightly. Startled into looking down, Tsu'tey found Little Spider, not even standing up to the height of the chief's knees, clinging to his strong blue legs for dear life while beaming up at him through his mask. Spider laughed due to Tsu'tey's reaction and paid no mind to his mother when she finally arrived. Tsu'tey didn't even notice Y/n until she stood in front of him, looking guilty and apologetic.
"Forgive me, ma olo'eyktan. He didn't want to go home until he got to see you."
Her ears pinned back against her head, tail drooping as she stared anxiously at the usually fierce and stone-faced clan leader. She looked tired, likely from a long day of following her child everywhere while he went on these new, exciting adventures around the village and surrounding forest. Y/n had volunteered to take Spider and the Sully kids to the nearby river so they could play and let off some steam. Jake and Neytiri had gratefully accepted the offer, ready to have some time away from their children for the first time in years. One look at the female avatar and Tsu'tey could tell just how drained she had been from watching all four children who barely grasp the idea of being 'careful.'
Years later, Tsu'tey will not be able to recall what came over him, but in a split-second decision, he bent down and scooped the little human boy into his arms, much to Spider's delight who squealed and laughed happily. To no one's surprise, the pink-skinned child was lighter than a basket of banana fruit and didn't struggle when Tsu'tey lifted him up over his head until the boy was sitting on his strong, broad shoulders. Spider dutifully grabbed onto Tsu'tey's braids to stay upright, eyes widening in joy and wonderment as he looked around, seeing the world from a new height that Spider could only dream of.
Tsu'tey made no sound to acknowledge his decision, despite already clocking a few bystanders who had stopped to stare at their olo'eyktan in shock before he turned to Y/n, speaking as blunt and firm as always, "He has seen me. Now let's get him to your ikran."
Initially surprised, Y/n could only nod and obediently led the Na'vi man in the direction of the claimed ikran rookery. They walked in silence apart from Spider's ramblings, beaming and waving down at all the Na'vi they passed by. Tsu'tey stubbornly ignores the stares, keeping his head held high and his gaze ahead of him, still exuding the confident, proud walk of a chief without ever acknowledging the sky demon child sitting up on his shoulders. Spider wasn't bothered by his silence, still babbling about all the things he did today and excitedly exclaiming how he couldn't wait until next time. They finally walk up to Y/n's ikran and without a word, she formed tsaheylu and expertly hopped up into her saddle, bending down to accept Spider from Tsu'tey once the man plucked the kid from his shoulders. Taking this time to admire the handiwork Y/n put into making her ikran's saddle as she secured her son in front of her, Tsu'tey nearly made a fool of himself by staring and immediately shook out of his thoughts.
"Now, boy," Tus'tey spoke carefully, lowering his voice so as not to startle the child as he stepped away from the banshee, eyeing Spider with a stern expression, "Be good for your sa'nok the rest of the night. Do not give her trouble and do as your told."
"Yes, sir!" Spider puffed out his chest and dutifully nodded, excited to follow an order straight from the Omatikaya's olo'eyktan.
Y/n huffed in amusement before flashing Tsu'tey a small smile of gratitude, "Thank you, Tsu'tey."
"Get some rest, my friend," Tsu'tey firmly nods back, "That's an order."
To his internal surprise, Y/n laughs, and even though he was confused, Spider laughed with her. Tsu'tey didn't react to their laughter, every muscle in his face coming together to keep as firm and as serious as he could manage. He wasn't sure when was the last time a woman laughed at something he said. Normally, no one laughed at Tsu'tey, believing he was too serious and he was taken as seriously as one could manage. It wasn't as though he was trying to be funny, but it was like Y/n could see something behind his eyes that told her that at this very moment, she didn't have to treat him as the clan leader. Perhaps it was the way he called her 'friend' that made her realize that she didn't have to be so formal around him. Either way, he didn't plan on correcting her manners.
Tsu'tey couldn't remember when they eventually flew away, back to Hell's Gate. He could only remember standing there like an idiot even after the mother and son were out of sight, their gentle, sweet laughter still echoing in his ears.
~~~~~~~~~
It became a sort of tradition. After a long day of being in the village, Spider would always escape his mother and run to Tsu'tey every time she told her son it was time to go home. After the first three times he did this, both Tsu'tey and Y/n just silently agreed to go along with it and indulge the child in his little tradition. Every evening Y/n and Spider were visiting the clan, the olo'eyktan could count on the young boy to find him like clockwork, then Tsu'tey will, again, lift Spider up onto his shoulders and follow Y/n back to her ikran.
Tsu'tey noticed that the mother and child were visiting the village more and more and he chalked it up to be because Neytiri had just announced that she was pregnant again. Everyone was ecstatic, especially the children. Knowing that a new baby was on the way, Spider could be spotted around the Sully marui almost every single day. The kid was in awe at the idea of meeting someone who was finally going to be smaller than him, at least for a little while. He also fully ramped the other Sully kids up, getting them to be excited for another little sibling, especially Lo'ak, who was ready to finally be a big brother instead of the youngest.
As tradition goes, the People would gift the expecting parents food and necessities in preparation for the unborn child. It was a good way to help Jake and Neytiri focus on their growing family and pay more attention to their three children instead of worrying about getting much-needed supplies ready for the baby. After Y/n explained this tradition to her son, Spider was determined to also present a gift to Jake and Neytiri, and who else could possibly help him with that but none other than Tsu'tey?
The olo'eyktan helps the boy, despite the nagging voice in the back of his head, and tries his best to help when he has the time. If Tsu'tey is not making his usual errands, he can be found with the human boy who practically drags him through the forest, looking for appropriate items to gift the Sullys. Y/n usually goes with them, never too far from her son, therefore she finds herself in Tsu'tey's company more than she ever has in all the years she's known him. And he doesn't appear bothered by it. In fact, he inwardly looks forward to these small adventures, feeling like a young warrior again who could freely leave the village without too many responsibilities weighing down his shoulders. Either Spider blindly takes the two adults through the trees without any idea of where he was heading, or he lets Tsu'tey take the lead, always excited for where the chief will take them now. The three of them do this for an entire week until Spider presents Neytiri with a beautiful bracelet with six, various different colors of beads to represent how many people will soon be in her family. Neytiri's smile was like starlight, so wide and emotional as she pulls the small boy into her arms, kissing the glass of his mask as tears stream down her cheeks. After Spider asks her why she was crying, she was quick to reassure him that they were happy tears and tells him how much she loved his gift, all the while Tsu'tey and Y/n are standing off to the side, fondly watching this scene take place.
It was an eye-opening moment for the usually fierce, stone-faced olo'eyktan. He had been standing so close to Y/n, closer than he had ever allowed himself to be with anyone, while they both watched Spider beam up at Neytiri and happily ramble about his adventures while finding the perfect beads for his bracelet. As the child explained that Tsu'tey and Y/n always went with him, even Neytiri looked surprised, glancing up at the two other adults with her ears flicking with interest. Tsu'tey swallowed and stood firm, trying not to appear nervous under the Na'vi woman's gaze.
Neither Spider nor Y/n noticed this brief interaction as the boy finally turns back to his mother and the olo'eyktan, remembering their presence and running toward them, cheering, "She liked it! She liked it!"
"I can see that," Y/n smiled, giggling as she bent down to receive Spider, picking him up in her arms without a sweat. Normally, it's a struggle in her human body to lift him up as he continues to grow, but as an avatar, it's like holding a three-year-old again. Oh, how she missed those days.
Still in Y/n's arms, Spider reaches for Tsu'tey, making grabby hands at the man who stood close enough for the boy to touch him. Tsu'tey nearly froze under the boy's attention, his own tongue betraying him when he couldn't find anything to say. It was too domestic, watching the way Spider looked for approval from both Y/n and Tsu'tey. Watching as both Spider's and Y/n's eyes land on him nearly takes his breath away, as if seeing the pair of them through rose-tinted glasses for the first time. And while standing so close, Tsu'tey can almost pretend, just for a moment, that Spider was not just any child, but his, the child wanting to share the events of his day as he had run to both Tsu'tey and his mother like they came as a pair, not just one or the other.
This was the first time Tsu'tey ever realized the gift Eywa was offering to him, but at the time was too cowardly to accept it. Taking one last look at the way Spider leaned his soft pink head on Y/n's blue shoulder, Tsu'tey looked away, purposely engraving the sight of those two small brown and gold pairs of eyes staring questionably up at him.
Even though there was no need to go out into the forest anymore, Tsu'tey still insisted on taking the mother and son out on adventures under the guise that it was time Spider learned how to gather and forage. Tsu'tey firmly stated that the boy needed to recognize certain plants before he could ever learn to become a hunter. Spider perked up at this idea, cheering and running to Neteyam, Kiri, and Lo'ak to brag about his upcoming lessons. Y/n appeared hesitant at first -call it a mother's concern- but eventually accepted the idea, happily tagging along so she could witness her son's first lesson.
One lesson became two, then three, then four, five, and six. Eventually, Tsu'tey had lost count of the number of days he had squeezed in time to teach Spider the ways of the Na'vi. It had been weeks, easily, and he had no intention of stopping. He was exhausted between his usual duties and his newly acquired student, but Tsu'tey would only have to look as far as Spider and Y/n's smiles to think it was all worth it.
Before he knew it, Y/n had fully completed her Iknimaya. After surviving the Uniltaron, she was painted and born a second time as one of the People. The whole clan was happy for her, and even Tsu'tey bore a small but genuine smile as he stood before her as her olo'eyktan and welcomed her into the Omatikaya clan, placing his arms on her shoulders as everyone else followed suit, creating an overflowing circle of Na'vi all around her.
With Y/n being recognized as a member of the clan, Tsu'tey feels a small barrier break between them. Something unspoken had come to light and before he could argue with himself, Tsu'tey had done something he hadn't done in a while.
His carving skills needed improvement after so many years of nonuse, but it was still a talent he possessed. The next time he spotted Y/n and Spider in the village, he boldly approached them without a second thought. Spider saw him first and excitedly ran to Tsu'tey, hugging his legs until the olo'eyktan crouched down to his height. Y/n walked up to them just as Tsu'tey held out his hand to the boy, "For you, Spider."
Spider greedily held out both of his hands with wide, bewildered eyes just as Tsu'tey handed him a simple but perfectly carved wooden pa'li toy. Spider initially stood there, shocked, staring down at the toy while Tsu'tey began to shuffle uncomfortably on his heels, "I understand if you think you are too big for toys--"
His backtracking was quickly interrupted by Spider lunging at him, throwing his little arms around the man's neck before practically squeezing the air out of him. Tsu'tey let out a gust of wind at the impact, unaware that the kid had that much strength in such a small body. It took a moment, but eventually, Tsu'tey began to awkwardly pat the boy on the back while Spider continued to hug fiercely.
Y/n was biting the inside of her cheek to keep from smiling and was failing miserably, the smile stretching far enough to make her facial muscles hurt. Tsu'tey bravely peered up at her and offered his best, closed-mouth smirk, despite still awkwardly holding the child in his arms. Y/n took a deep breath and was able to rein in the smile until it was small and gentle, clearing her throat to get her son's attention, "What do you say, Spider?"
"Thank you. Irayo, " Spider whispered into Tsu'tey's ear before finally pulling away, clutching the pa'li toy in one hand while his mother took the other. Slowly, they both walk away but would occasionally look back at Tsu'tey with those sweet, dazzling smiles that make Tsu'tey feel as though he had just lifted a mountain that was in the mother and son's path. After they disappeared into the crowd, he finally stood back up, stubbornly ignoring all the stares the scene no doubt caused before going about his day as normally as he could.
Once almost every week, Tsu'tey would have something new to offer Spider. It could be a toy, small bracelets, armbands, or even Na'vi child-sized clothes, Tsu'tey would make them all for the small human child. Spider's personal favorite was the small bow, already strung up and carved to his tiny size with equally small, harmless arrows. Over time, Spider was becoming more accustomed to Na'vi culture and started to wear his hair in beads and braids and continuously wore a loincloth. The Sully kids were eager to help Spider form his new style but it wasn't hard to get the supplies, seeing as though Tsu'tey had already provided Spider with everything he needed to complete the look. Each gift was more thoughtful and appreciative than the last, and each time, seeing the look on both mother and child's faces made Tsu'tey feel a thousand times lighter.
He thought he was being subtle, but that was far from the truth. Nearly everyone could see it apart from himself. He knew he had been a fool to believe otherwise when he was abruptly visited by his parents, cornering him in his own marui.
"What is this about you courting a demon?" His mother, Artsut, sternly asked.
"I am not courting anyone." He easily answered without hesitation.
"That is not what we heard. The People say their olo'eyktan has taken a liking to the dreamwalker they call Y/n and her demon child."
"Is that truly what the People say, Mother? Or is it just you?" Tsu'tey accused, eyes narrowed on her, "From what I have seen, the People love Y/n and Spider."
"Spider?" His father, Ateyo, repeated the name on his tongue and screwed up his nose, "What a strange name."
"This is not acceptable," Artsut shook her head, "You should have taken Saeyla as your mate when you had the chance. At least she is one of the People and she would have accepted you."
Tsu'tey nodded in agreement, but kept his face impassive, "Yes. She would have. But I will not have her and she will not have me. She is mated with Ka'ani now."
"You should have chosen her the moment Neytiri ran off to mate with a tawtute."
His eyes darken a shade of color and his parents are quickly reminded that they spoke to the olo'eyktan, one of said tawtute's strongest allies who was quick to defend Jake Sully after years of friendship, "You will not address Toruk Makto in such a way. And I do not want you to ever speak of Y/n as if she is not Omatikaya. She has learned our ways and had successfully completed her Iknimaya. In time, her son will follow her footsteps."
The sneer on his mother's face was potent as ever, "Do you actually believe that a sky demon can complete the task of becoming a warrior when he doesn't even have a tswin? Even if he were to be accepted as one of the People, he will struggle all his life and suffer without the means of bonding with the Forest, the animals, or even other Na'vi! You are olo'eyktan and your duty to the People also involves having heirs to succeed you! Raising this human child alongside this dreamwalker will end your line!"
Her voice had only ever risen higher until his father gently placed a withered hand on her shoulder. Artsut immediately silences herself while Ateyo turns to Tsu'tey, "Maitan. Tell us the truth. Are you courting this woman?"
Tsu'tey grits his teeth, staring both of them down, "I am not."
The words are bitter on his tongue, distasteful. What he would give to say otherwise and make his parents flinch as if in pain. His mother shook her head, her tone quieter but still accusatory, "Others have seen you gift the child many things. Do you think we are blind and deaf? We hear whispers, Tsu'tey. We hear that to win Y/n's heart is to dote on her son. You may not be courting the woman with gifts for her, but you are courting her with gifts for her son."
The marui grew in unpalpable silence. Tsu'tey remained quiet, unable to deny it, but kept his gaze sharp and locked onto Ateyo and Artsut. Ever since he became Eytukan's heir as olo'eyktan, he had learned to stop listening to his parents constantly whispering in his ears. He had quickly realized how poisonous they were, hungry for power, believing they know the will of Eywa better than anyone, even Mo'at. He had thought he had fed their thirst for power after becoming olo'eyktan, but that still wasn't good enough for them. For years now, they have shaped Tsu'tey's younger brother, Arvok, into their preferred image now that their golden son had chosen his own path without their consent. Tsu'tey wished his brother had learned to stop leading by their influence and start forming his own future, but has been unable to advise Arvok to do so, given how busy he is as the clan leader. On top of growing up in Tsu'tey's shadow until recent years, Arvok has no part of himself that their parents didn't twist and manipulate. Arvok was no longer his own person and it broke Tsu'tey's heart to watch from a distance, unable to save his brother from himself.
A wave of guilt washes over Tsu'tey but he strongly holds firm, blatantly refusing to let his emotions show, let alone in front of his sa'sem. He regrets not taking Arvok under his wing. He regrets taking time to be with Y/n and Spider and none to be with his own flesh and blood. Perhaps a small part of himself believed he could help his brother if he could help someone as hopeless as Spider, someone who couldn't truly become one of the People, just like his parents said--
'No. That is not you talking. Already they are trying to spin their words to make it sound like your own. Do not let them poison you.'
His own thoughts drown out all the doubt and regret and so Tsu'tey shakes his head to be rid of them with a deep, dark snarl, baring his fangs at his mother and father, "You forget yourselves. You forget your place. You are right about one thing. I am olo'eyktan, and I don't take orders from you. I will never listen to you or agree with you because every word that falls from your mouth is like a sharp blade in my ears. Your ways are of the past when I, your chief, aim toward the future. By the laws of our people, Y/n is taronyu, and Spider is her son. That is enough for me, and I order you to keep whatever you have to say about that woman and her child to yourselves from now on."
~~~~~~~~~
Despite holding firm against Ateyo and Artsut, Tsu'tey couldn't help but feel sour for the rest of the week about what was said in the confinements of that room. Their lecture plus Eytukan's teachings continued to ring in his ears, unable to let him rest. They were right that as olo'eyktan, it was his duty to find a proper heir to take his place and guide the People after he is gone. He could sire an heir or choose one from the clan, but he must choose wisely, nevertheless.
For years, Tsu'tey never worried about heirs. He was openly adamant in wishing Jake Sully to take his place should something untimely happen to him. Toruk Makto had sons and a daughter with possibly another on the way. At the very least, Jake's line of succession was secure if he was olo'eyktan.
But Tsu'tey was alone.
It didn't help that as olo'eyktan, he was still in need of a mate who would one day become tsahik. Mo'at has made it very clear to him, "I am not getting any younger. I will need at least three seasons to train a woman before she can become tsahik."
Neytiri was no longer tsakarem due to choosing Jake as her mate, and while Kiri was a good option for Mo'at to take under her wing, the young girl was still too young to worry about such responsibility. Tsu'tey was positive that Mo'at would rather have her granddaughter become tsahik over whoever he chose as a mate, but he was positive it was due to favoritism. Mo'at would rather teach family over a stranger, and Tsu'tey couldn't blame her for that. Her own legacy was shattered due to losing her first daughter and becoming estranged from the other, neither of who was capable of becoming tsahik like their mother one day.
The harsh reminder of Sylwanin made Tsu'tey's stomach clench with guilt and despair. He had moved past her death years ago, but at the idea of him finally moving on, the phantom pain returned to make him feel regret all over again.
She was meant to be his mate for life, and this all felt as though he was betraying her.
Tsu'tey let his feet take them to a destination, and they end up leading him to the Sully marui. Inside, Neytiri was alone since Jake decided to take the kids fishing with Spider and Y/n, her baby bump becoming more visible by the day. Looking up and recognizing Tsu'tey, she only held his gaze with a smug, all-knowing expression.
He scowled while walking further into the home, sitting across from her, "I assume you heard the rumors."
She shrugged, smirking, "I think everyone has heard or seen something or other. The question is whether or not it's true."
The man hesitates, unable to form the proper words he wanted to say. Here sat his young love's sister, someone who would know better than anyone how he feels because she suffers the same pain and loss every day. And yet... like Sylwanin, he felt as though he was betraying Neytiri as well, "I... I don't know."
Her gaze narrows at him, surprised and under scrutiny, "You don't know?"
"I thought I did," Tsu'tey confessed, his eyes only gazing at the small fire between them, "I was ready to take and bring both of them into my care."
"Then what's stopping you?" She carefully watches him as they sat in silence, letting it linger and simmer like the meat she had just hung over the fire. When Tsu'tey had yet to look up, Neytiri had discovered the answer on her own, "Sylwanin?"
Solemnly, he nods, "We were promised to each other. It is a promise meant forever."
Her posture relaxes, relenting whatever tease she planned on dishing him out in exchange for pity. Her words were gentle as she spoke, forlorn and sympathetic, "You were not mated yet, Tsu'tey, and it was many, many years ago. You are allowed to grieve, mourn, and miss my sister. But I think she would understand if you had fallen for someone else."
Leaning forward to the best of her ability in her condition, she reaches and grabs tightly onto Tsu'tey's hand. Finally, once his eyes met hers, Neytiri whispered, "She wouldn't want you to be alone forever."
She lets him think about what she said, turning back to the food she was preparing in silence. Neytiri lets Tsu'tey hide away in her home, stewing with his thoughts as the village moves on about their day around them. Before eclipse could even make an appearance, Jake and Y/n return with the children from their fishing trip. Looking up, both Neytiri and Tsu'tey take note of how exhausted all the kids look, especially Spider, who was passed out cold in Jake's arms alongside Kiri.
Jake smiles at his wife before turning to Tsu'tey to properly greet him, "Brother. I'd offer you my arm, but I kinda got my hands full."
"So I see," Tsu'tey huffed, slightly amused at the sight before his gaze flicks over to the woman standing beside Jake, "And how are you, Y/n?"
She appeared startled at the question being directed at her, but quickly covered it up with a soft smile, nodding down to Tsu'tey, "I'm alright, ma olo'eyktan. Thank you."
Neytiri smirked, sparing one glance up at her husband before pretending to absentmindedly hum in thought, "Perhaps if you leave us Spider's spare mask, Y/n, you could leave him here for tonight and have at least a few hours to yourself?"
Both Neteyam and Lo'ak are suddenly wide awake, ears perking up at the mother's intention. Y/n paused, about to open her mouth when Jake beat her to it, "That's not a bad idea. He's already asleep and there isn't a reason to wake him," the female avatar turned to the male one, who's quick to reassure her, "I promise he'll be in good hands. And the kids would love to wake up in the morning to find Spider still here."
Again, the concern Y/n displayed on her face was about to voice her answer before Neteyam spoke up, keeping his voice sweet and soft, "Please, Aunt Y/n? Can Spider stay here tonight?"
Lo'ak chimed in, too, albiet a bit louder, "Can we have a sleepover? Pleeeaase?"
All the adults present quickly shushed the young boy when Kiri and Spider squirmed in their sleep but everyone relaxed when the sleeping children eventually settled back down. Jake moves further into the marui to gently place them down on the mats while Y/n turned around only to be met with two round pairs of pleading gold eyes staring up at her, both Neteyam and Lo'ak poking their bottom lips out for added measure.
Y/n snorts, playfully rolling her eyes, "Well, who could say 'no' to those charming little faces?"
Both the boys silently cheer and run in the direction of the other two sleeping children, anxious to join the growing cuddle pile. Y/n watches them go with amusement before she hands Neytiri the spare mask she always kept hooked around the belt of her cargo shorts, "I'll be back for him early in the morning."
"No need to rush," Neytiri smiled with assurance, "Just stop by for breakfast and you can take him home after."
Jake then proceeds to hand the single mother a throat mic and earpiece, "Just in case we need to contact you or you just wanna talk to him."
Y/n visibly relaxed a little at the lengths both Jake and Neytiri were going just to make her feel comfortable leaving her son with them. She dutifully nods and clips on the throat mic as Tsu'tey stands to meet her, the olo'eyktan tilting his head to the marui exit, "Let's get you to your ikran."
If she found his offer unexpected, she didn't show it and followed Tsu'tey out of the marui, unaware of the knowing look Neytiri was watching them leave with. Once they disappeared, Jake turned to his mate with a confused expression, "What was that about?"
Neytiri's eyes shine with a mischievous gleam behind those golden orbs,  "With any luck, by the end of the night, Spider will officially have a father and we will have our future tsahik."
~~~~~~~~~
Tsu'tey and Y/n mostly walked in silence back to her ikran, the beauty of the night slowly making itself known as eclipse finally arrives. Over the years, Y/n was used to how intense and silent Tsu'tey could be and no longer found these quiet interactions awkward. If anything, the silence was actually comforting.
They approach her ikran and Y/n busies herself by tending to the banshee, comforting the creature when it squawks indignant and trying to look occupied to calm her own nerves. It was possible her ikran could sense said nerves and continued to act belligerent. Eventually, Y/n turned back to the olo'eyktan and nods in gratitude, "Thank you, Tsu'tey. I'll be back again in the morning."
He only nods and so Y/n took it as a sign to take her leave as the silence lingers. Double-checking the straps of her ikran's harness, she swung her leg over the creature and grabbed her queue braid--
"Y/n..."
She looked up, "Yes?"
Concern clouded her mind as Tsu'tey's eyes briefly look away, unable to meet her gaze. His ears flick at the same speed as his eyes, betraying him of his nerves as he spoke, "Do you wish to be courted?"
Befuddled, her eyes narrow cautiously, tilting her head with curiosity. Perhaps she heard him wrong, "What?"
He took a deep breath to steady himself, straightening up to be the taller more regal olo'eyktan she had come to know him. His voice is suddenly more confident and formal as he finally looks up at her, "It would be a great honor, Y/n of the Sky People and of the Omatikaya, if you would allow me to officially court you."
Y/n could initially do nothing but sit there on the back of her ikran, frozen and dumbfounded. The silence that was once so normal and comfortable between them was now intense and tightly wound like a meresh'ti cau'pla. As the avatar woman replayed his words back in her head, she couldn't depict anything else from the proposal other than one singular word, "'Officially?'"
Tsu'tey nods while further explaining, "It was not my intention to let you believe I was only tending to your boy in the hopes of courting you, nor do I wish for you to believe that I expect something from you in exchange for training your son. Spider is a spirited child and he is lucky to have a wonderful woman for his mother. You and your son have shown me what it would look like to be a part of your family and now that I have a taste of it, I want to know more. I wish to court you not just in the hopes of being your mate, but one day-- if you and the boy will have me, I want Spider to one day look up to me as his father."
The confession was something Y/n wouldn't have expected in a million years. It wasn't as though she believed Tsu'tey to be too proud, but as the clan leader he had a reputation to uphold and a responsibility regarding the wellbeing of his people. Immediately her thoughts turned to what other Na'vi might think about their olo'eyktan taking a sky demon as his mate, someone who can walk in two bodies instead of one, an alien whose species would do unspeakable things to cheat death and go against everything Eywa stood for. She never took herself to be an insecure person, but Y/n couldn't help the fear she felt when thinking about what the Na'vi people might think about her son if she decides to allow Tsu'tey to adopt him. Sure, the Omatikaya act as though they love Spider now, but what about when they learn that their olo'eyktan's legacy depends on a boy born from the Sky People?
Despite her fears, she couldn't help but think about how much happier Spider has been around Tsu'tey and the village. Y/n thought about how the boy would suddenly become sad upon returning to the biolab and leaving his friends behind, or how when he adamantly talked, it was only about the Na'vi and the Sully kids and of course whatever Tsu'tey had taught him that day. Though Y/n and the other scientists have tried to teach Spider the ways of the Sky People with the proper education and history of their culture, the kid doesn't want anything to do with Earth and tends to stick with whatever he had learned from the Omatikaya. Over time, Y/n had told the other scientists to give it up, coming to terms that Spider didn't want to learn about where he came from, only about the home he had now and the friends he had gained. Y/n couldn't blame him. Tsu'tey was a better teacher than even Max or Norm when it came to the topics Spider wanted to actually learn about. Tsu'tey was patient but firm. Informative but vigor. On one hand, he would make sure Spider listened and held onto every word he said, but on the other, he was a good listener and would praise Spider for every achievement made in his lessons. Y/n remembered watching them with fondness, amused and delighted by their interactions. As often as she sees her son and the olo'eyktan together, the more she, too wished to see what would happen if she allowed herself to feel something for that man. The man who opened his arms out to selected Sky People, allowing them into his village. The man who took Spider under his wing despite the fact the boy was human and treated him with kindness and respect even though he didn't have to. Tsu'tey has every reason to hate the Sky People and the face Spider wears, but he doesn't, and what Y/n initially thought she felt was admiration for Tsu'tey was actually a growing love for him and his character.
But she had stamped down her feelings because she was afraid of getting Spider's hopes up. She couldn't afford to disappoint her son when he already adores Tsu'tey to no end. When Y/n opened her mouth, she whispered her own confession to the olo'eyktan anxiously waiting for an answer, "... He already does."
She watches as his eyes widen before she made the decision to hop back down from her banshee, closing in the gap between them as she took the necessary steps to stand right before Tsu'tey. She watched his eyes for a moment, looking for something, likely making sure he wasn't joking despite knowing he was the last person on this planet who would. She hadn't realized they were standing so close until she felt the warm air of his breath softly fanning her face, causing her to blink rapidly and clear her throat when her skin began to prickle into a soft blush. Ignoring her brief fluster, she allowed herself to slowly, cautiously lean forward and felt relief when Tsu'tey did as well. Their foreheads faintly touch until their movements became bolder, pressing closer until they were sharing the same tight space and combating the tense air between them. Leaning into him further, Y/n closed her eyes and basked in his embrace, "You really want this?"
His shaky exhale hits her face, her eyelashes briefly twitching but otherwise remaining closed as if afraid to open and see his expression. Tsu'tey's voice was less confident now and more breathless, unable to take in a full gulp of air in this woman's presence. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the closeness, even if only for tonight, he didn't care if it was selfish. He gently gripped her arm as he whispered, wanting to pull her even closer to him than possible, "Yes. By Eywa, yes."
Her lips twitched into a smile at the same time her heart lept in joy, "I accept your proposal."
Faintly patting his chest, she then pulled away, both of them opening their eyes and smiling shyly at one another. Y/n blindly backs away to reach her ikran, unwilling to look away until the last second, "I'll see you in the morning."

“So,” Jake began as his eldest son and daughter sat across from him and Neytiri in their family’s tent. “Your mother and I have realised that you are both at an age where you may want to start considering others in the clan who might be suited as your life partners.”
Eyes widening, the siblings turned to each other in a panic. Were their parents really about to give them both this talk right now? The older Sully siblings were both in their early twenties and had already dealt with these types of conversations in their teens. They assumed that their parents weren’t going to pressure or bring it up to them after the first time a few years ago.
However, Jake and Neytiri were hyperaware of their daughter’s interest in the human boy, Spider, wanting to encourage her gaze away from him and towards a Na’Vi mate. Although, this was more Neytiri’s motive rather than Jake’s. Jake had been human too after all, but he knew it wouldn’t be possible unless Spider suddenly had his own Avatar.
Along with this, the mated couple were also aware of their son’s interest in you, Y/N, whom which Neytiri had noticed had begun to gain attention from other potential mates within the clan.
The mated couple admired you and your strong heart. Your hunting skills, attentiveness, kindness and the respect you held amongst the people. And your skills which abled you to provide and work within the clan’s community.
If Neteyam was as in love with Y/N as he appeared to be, he would need to make the bond and mate with her for life and soon. Neytiri and Jake wanted their son to be happy and become the best version of himself which you brought out in him. They wanted him to experience the love and passion that they had found with each other years ago.
A small smile graced Neytiri’s face and she swelled with pride as she spoke. “It has been few years now since you have both earned your place amongst the people… we would like for you both to choose your mates before this year’s end.”
With a roll of her eyes, Kiri let out a huff and stood up. “Yeah, I’m not ready for that.”
She reached over lightly slapping her hands on her older brother’s shoulders, “but he is - so I’ll be leaving now.” Grinning whilst turning to exit the Sully family’s hut, Kiri was caught in her stride as her mother squinted her eyes at her daughter.
“We’ll talk about this later.” Her distaste for the human boy, which she knew was on her daughter’s mind, only grew. She glared at her daughter and Kiri coward slightly at the fury behind her eyes before slipping out of the entrance to the hut.
Neteyam gaped at his sister leaving him to fend for himself but honestly, expected nothing less. Kiri had always been the one out of the pair to have the more rebellious attitude whereas Neteyam still and always would try to remain the well behaved and respectful eldest child.
“Neteyam ma‘itan (my son),” the corners of Neytiri’s lips turned up before turning to her mate. “We know that you have a very brave, strong hearted, skilled and beautiful woman in your life who will become a perfect mate to you if you wish it.”
He instantly thought of you. Was it that obvious? He supposes that he did bring you up in conversation often when you weren’t around because thoughts of you consistently flooded his mind and if he wasn’t with his family or on duties within Omatikaya, he would be with you and his whereabouts would be no mystery to anyone wondering where he was.
Jake nodded, smiling as he looked at his son. “We approve of her. She would make a fine Tsahìk after your mother when your time comes to take my place and become the next Olo’eyktan.”
With his eyes softening; face breaking out into a smile, his heart felt full and thrilled at his parents blessing. “Thank you, sir.” He bowed his head towards his parents, lifting his fingers up to his forehead before moving them back down and looking back up to them. “Thank you, sa’nu (mum).”
There was nobody else he wanted more than you.
---
You were minding your own business, weaving fabrics between your loom in attempt to craft Tuktirey a new chest covering as she constantly complimented your own which were woven with the most beautiful purple beads on them and had asked you to make one for her too. You were sitting with your back against the large bark trunk of kelutral (hometree) when an obnoxious hoot entered your ears and caused them twitch in exasperation.
You were only trying to keep yourself occupied whilst you were waiting for Neteyam to return from a meeting with his parents.
Footsteps soon followed the noises and ne of the young Omatikaya warriors was stalking his way over to you, like a predator following its prey, with a smirk on his face and a couple other young hunters in the clan following close behind.
“Hello, Y/N” one of them purred.
Nodding your head in acknowledgement, you maintained your focus on the fabrics in your hands. “Ka’ani.”
“Are you occupied this evening? Because I was thinking we could maybe take a trip to Vitrautral (Tree of Souls).” Ka’ani began as he crouched down next to your now irritated form, “consummate the beginning of our new life together?”
Your forehead creased as you looked at him, lips parting to speak until you were cut off by another warrior.
Takuk ran a hand through his braids before elbowing Ka’ani out of the way. “If you’re not interested in this skxawng then I’d be more than happy to show you what a real mate can be like. I can offer you so much more and provide for you in ways that nobody else could.”
A scoff escaped your lips. Didn’t they know that you were so clearly and obviously interested in another? Surely, the entire clan has picked up on your and Neteyam’s more-than-platonic friendship by now.
“Don’t be like that sevin ‘eve (pretty girl),” Ka’ani eyes lit up as you stood up, unintentionally showing off your figure to the small group as annoyance continued to bubble within you making your tail whip through the air in agitation. “We just want you to know that if you’re not mated soon, then one of us will claim you for ourselves.”
You sighed, irritation prominent in your voice. “I’m not interested in any of you. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” You attempted to leave but one of the young warriors’ hands harshly grabbed your wrist causing you to yelp in surprise.
Unbeknownst to you, the only man you were in fact interested in was watching this scene unfold with anger running through his veins. After his conversation with his parents just now, he wanted to seek you out and confess his feelings and desires to you knowing that they weren’t unrequited. There had always been an unspoken connection between you both which had only flourished and bloomed into something romantic over the years since you had first met in your childhood years.
You both knew that you wanted each other, much like the entire Omatikaya Clan knew too. Therefore, it was just a matter of time before you and Netayam made the decision to mate and bond for life.
At the feeling of the harsh grip around your wrist, you hissed baring your fangs and tried to back away. “Let go.”
“Come on tute asevin (pretty woman), do not be like that. Just choose one of us to make you feel good and treat you well.”
“I’m not interested,” you seethed. “You would only treat me a small mere fraction as good as another will!”
Neteyam had always treated you with such kindness and consideration and affection… but now you couldn’t help but actually begin to think why you and Neteyam haven’t officially mated yet. Many of your peers in the clan had began mating a couple years ago and there was only around under half your age group left unmated now. Ka’ani, Takuk and their friends being some of the latter.
Takuk snarled with a crooked smile, bringing his face close to yours, his eyes filled with greed and hunger. “Oh really? Then why are you still left unmated?”
“I could ask the same for you!” You retorted, anger flaring up.
He only snarled, ignoring your comment. “You really think the son of Toruk Makto, the future Olo’eyktan, would want to be mated with you? He knows you’re not woth it. You’re just a filthy-”
A flash of hurt crossed your features and before Takuk could continue, a deep familiar voice broke in. “Did you not here what she said? She’s not interested in you fucking skxawngs, so leave her alone!”
Relief flooded your system as Neteyam towered over the group with his jaw clenched and fists curled up. Pure rage was evident on his expression until he looked at you and his features softened to show concern as his large green eyes flickered between your face and wrist which was now free. You gently rubbed your blue skin, a slight burn lingering where the grasp of the Na’Vi warriors’ hand was.
“Whatever… have her.” The group sneered and backed away mumbling amongst themselves, leaving you and Neteyam alone as they cleared off into the distance.
A sigh escaped Neteyam’s lips as he stepped closer to you, wrapping his arms around you. Leaning into his large frame and warmth with your cheek pressed against his chest and hands on his back, you choked back a sob. “Thank you ‘Teyam.”
“I’m sorry that happened, my love. Are you okay?”
You sniffled before voicing the one thing that Takuk had said which was now stuck to the front of your mind. “No…” Why hadn’t Neteyam mated with you yet? Looking up at him with sad glossy eyes, you frowned. “Why haven’t we?”
“Why haven’t we, what?” Confusion and disquietude were laced in Neteyam’s voice and shone through his facial expression.
“Why haven’t we mated yet?” You pulled away from him, the lack of warmth and comfort causing you to shiver. Neteyam’s own body ached at the loss of contact. Your eyes reflected a sense of pain which made Neteyam’s heart ache.
“What? Y/N, I-” he began but struggled to find the right words to finish. And the silence was loud. Almost deafening to you.
Stepping back, you gave him a look of defeat. “It’s okay, I understand. I have to go.” You avoided his gaze before turning your back to him and ran off far into the forest, ignoring his calls of desperation in the distance.
---
A constant ache remained in your chest for the rest of the day and a swirl of overthinking clouded your head regarding Neteyam. You loved him so much and thought that he loved you too. But maybe he had someone else on his mind who he wanted to mate with and that’s why you had both never really discussed mating with each other before.
You thought back to all the times his large hands gently held yours during your many late-night walks through the flora and fauna of the forest whilst you both spoke to and confided in each other about the troubles you both felt overwhelmed it. You thought about all the laughs you shared together alongside his siblings and your friends. You thought about the time you had gifted each other matching beaded accessories as a reminder that when you couldn’t physically be together and see each other for a while, that you both always carry a piece of each other with you. You thought about the many times you’d find yourselves gazing into each other’s eyes lovingly, lips almost grazing and near connected.
And you thought about the sweet whispers of affection you both shared as you both laid in each other’s arms, staring up at the stars in your favourite glade. A space that remained secret and scared to the two of you.
Was that not enough of a sign that you both wanted to be mates? Your head hurt from the confusion.
“Enough,” you whined out loud inside the space of your own hut. You couldn’t stay in here all day dwelling and you’d have to see Neteyam again eventually. You should probably talk to him, but you weren’t sure if you were going to like what he had to say.
Stepping out, you walked along the pathway leading to the Clan’s hometree. Still stuck with the thoughts in your head, you failed to notice the middle Sully children approaching you with looks of scepticism.
“Hey Y/N!” Lo’ak grabbed your attention, “you seen our big bro recently?”
Your head snapped up and you bit your lip, fangs nibbling on the skin of them. “Oh. Yes, not since this morning though.”
The pair looked at you with worried expressions. They were obviously of something, and anxiety swarmed your chest. What had Neteyam told them?
Kiri hummed as she placed a gentle hand on your arm, “what happened? Neteyam has been all broody for the past couple hours.”
Pursing your lips you responded, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Oh come on, Y/N.” Kiri groaned, eyes gliding to the back of her head at your attempt to deflect.
Lo’ak laughed, “we all know you impact that mighty warrior’s moods more than anything else. Don’t act oblivious.”
“He’s your brother. If you’re so worried talk to him, not me.”
Kiri smirked, “we already have. And you’re both complete sxkawngs.”
Your eyes widened. What did Neteyam tell them? A smile made it’s way to your lips but didn’t reach your eyes. “Guys I don’t really think I want to talk about this right now.”
Lo’ak only grinned as he bumped his shoulder into yours teasingly. “You’re right, it’s none of our business. But you’re gonna be our sis soon so it will become our business.”
---
The rest of the day passed by in a blur, eclipse was approaching, and soon your whole clan was gathered under kelutral. You sat beside your friends, picking at your food and contemplating your conversation with Kiri and Lo’ak earlier as everyone around you chatted heartily.
What did they mean you’ll be their sister soon? Were they referring to your close relationship with Neteyam? Because now you were having doubts about it.
The ache in your chest festered as your hand made it’s way to fiddle with the beads around your wrist. The beads that matched Neteyam’s.
Your friends looked at you worried, asking if you were okay but you simply brushed them off and stated that everything was fine before excusing yourself.
With your feet carrying you away into the trees, you inhaled the air and felt your surroundings shift. Only the sounds and feelings of the plants within the bioluminescent forest engulfed you and you relaxe, feeling at ease knowing that Eywa was with you.
Unbeknownst to you, Neteyam had seen you leave in the middle of dinner and decided to follow you seeing it as an opportunity to say what he had been desperate to all day. The thought of you avoiding him and being in pain, hurt him. He couldn’t bear to continue with his life knowing that you were hurting because of him.
As he was on his way to follow your steps, he passed by the group of young warriors who were harassing you earlier today and he slowed his movements whilst he heard them speak. They were planning to go to the meadow near Vitrautral after the meal ended. Something within Neteyam’s head sparked within an instant and he suddenly felt a desire. A desire in which he urgently wanted to act on.
The thought of making things right with you, telling you how he really felt and all whilst making it known to any other man within the clan that you were claimed by him was consuming.
Neteyam stealthily picked up his pace and followed you until you ended up at the Tree of Souls. Great Mother… this was absolutely perfect.
At the sound of footsteps behind you, you pivoted on your bare feet only to be face-to-face with Neteyam. His large figure leaned over yours whilst stared at you intently and thousands of thoughts rushed through your head.
“What are you doing here Neteyam?” He frowned slightly at the use of his full name. Usually you’d call him anything else but that.
“I need to talk to you.” He reached out for your hands and engulfed them in his own causing your heart to flutter. “You’re upset with me.”
“I am.” You nodded in confirmation, eyes flickering over him everywhere except his face. A clear sign of nerves.
He exhaled tiredly, green eyes staring into yours. “I think there’s been a misunderstanding, my love. You left so quickly this morning without letting me finish speaking.”
“Mhmm, it didn’t seem like you had much else to say.” You pouted slightly, “they weren’t wrong tho ‘Teyam.”
“Don’t tell me you believed anything those knuckleheads said to you.” He squeezed your hands.
“They had a point,” you glowered. “Why would the next Olo’eyktan want to be with someone like me? I’m not a powerful hunteress or warrior and I’m not the next Tsahìk in training. You need someone by your side who-”
Suddenly, he nestled his head into your neck laughing whilst pulling you closer to him, wrapping his arms around your waist in the process. “Y/N, I’m gonna stop you right there. You are the someone I need by my side.”
Your heart burst at his confession before you shook your head in denial. “But-”
“There is not but.” He removed his face from the crook of your neck and gazed at you lovingly as you then placed your hands on his broad shoulders. “You underestimate yourself. You are so strong and skilled. Elegant and kind. Intelligent and headstrong. Thoughtful and extremely beautiful. You’re the light on my dark days and comfort me like nothing else can. You ground me and make me feel more alive than I’ve ever been. The forest would not be my home without you in it. You are my best friend and so much more. I want you to continue being more. I want us to continue as mates and I want you to be mine for the rest of our lives. And I am so sorry that I lacked the courage to tell you this sooner… I did not want to pressure you or bring my own burdens of being the Olo’eyktan’s son on to you.”
Tears pricked your eyes at his words, illuminating under the light pink and purple glow of the tree of souls, euphoria was swarming your body as you smiled at him. Neteyam beamed, his gaze briefly moving from your eyes to your lips as he trailed his hands along the skin of your waist.
“I want everyone to know that you are mine and only mine. And I hope that you will want me to be yours too.” By the sincerity across his features, you knew that he was being honest, pouring out his feelings to you and all of your doubts faded away.
“Oh ‘Teyam, my handsome warrior. You have no idea how much I desperately want that. I am sorry I that I did not tell you sooner too. You mean more to me than the Great Mother herself.” Yours hands slowly moved from his shoulders, delicately grazing his collarbones and moving down to his muscular chest feeling his heartbeat under your touch. “Oel ngati kameie (I see you).”
“And oel ngati kameie.” He repeated before closing the gap between you both, softly pressing his lips to yours. Your eyes fluttered shut and your arms moved up to grip his neck.
Everything felt right. So right. Here together. Confirming your love for one another. You deepened the kiss, both of you moving in sync and full of passion as if you were lovers that had been deprived of each other’s familiar touch for years.
His hands trailed down to rub your hips and his fingertips ghosted over the waistband of your loincloth. Your tails finding their way beside you both intertwining as you both shivered lightly at the close, intimate feeling.
Pulling away for air, you smiled at each other. “I can not believe that the most gorgeous Na’Vi on Pandora is mine.”
A giggle escaped your lips and your leaned in to peck his check and whispered into his ear, “And I can’t believe that the most perfect Na’Vi on Pandora is mine.”
Suddenly, Neteyam took you by surprise and scooped you up into his arms. A small squeal left your mouth as he carried you further under the Tree of Souls, brushing between the glowing vines.
He smirked, tongue swiping over his fangs before he pressed a chaste kiss to your lips and gently placed you onto the ground, hovering over your smaller frame.
You wrapped your legs around his slim waist, wanting him closer. He began kissing your neck feverishly causing you to gasp. His breath was hot on your neck and you began to feel arousal start to stir inside you just as much as it was within him.
Seeing you under him, lips slightly parted with soft moans escaping them as he pressed feathery kisses from your neck to your chest made his head spin.
“I want more of you Neteyam,” you whined.
He chuckled lightly, lifting a hand up to your chest as he connected your mouths again in fiery bliss with your tongues moving together delicately. You both basked in the feeling of the softness of the other’s lips.
Neteyam’s hand slowly lifted your chest covering to reveal your tits in all their glory and a purr left his throat. “So pretty.” He pulled the covering off in one swift motion.
A mewl left your mouth as his hand began to massage your breast and you relished in the sensation as his fingers lightly pinched your hardned nipples. By now you could feel the bulge between his legs and your hips wiggled impatiently, craving the contact.
A small whine left your throat as your head fell back, tits bouncing lightly at the action. Neteyam’s touch felt hot on your skin. His mouth made contact with your tits, tongue swirling around one bud and you gasped, hands grabbing his back as his other hand played with the other.
You inhaled sharply at the sweet, wet, sloppy kisses.
He hummed, “you sound so pretty for me.”
“Only for you.”
He growled roughly as you quickly made a decision and pushed him off and onto his back, allowing you to crawl over to him on your knees and place your hands on his thighs.
With Neteyam’s eyes still on you, you leaned down and began pressing kisses along his abs. “Fuck,” he breathed out as you neared his crotch. The fabric of his loincloth constricting him. Your hands reached for his waistband before pulling the fabric off him to reveal his long, hard length and you swallowed at the sight – not expecting it to be this big. His thick, veiny cock sprung upwards with the tip leaking precum and your mouth parted in shock
“Too much?” He chuckled at your expression.
“Maybe,” you giggled lightly as you spat on your hand and it found it’s way to the base of his cock. He moaned at the warmth of your hand around his hard length.
You smirked at the sound before gently pressing a kiss to the tip, earning a sharp intake of breath from the man beneath you as you licked the saltiness of his precum off your lips.
Parting your lips, you leaned back over this length and welcomed the head of his length into your soft, wet mouth. Neteyam shuddered at the feeling and wrapped his hands between your braids. He continued to guide his length into the warmth of your mouth and you opened wider, loosening your jaw.
Soon you began sucking along his length, swirling your tongue around him as he grunted in pleasure.
You started to feel a wetness between your legs and unconsciously rubbed your thighs together, trying to create friction.
With your hand lightly moving along his length, covering the part that your mouth couldn’t, he moaned happily and you increased your pace. Obscene noises were filling the air around you.
A moan left your throat and your mouth vibrated around him, causing him to tug at your hair as his tip hit the back of your throat, legs shakily slightly at the sensation. Breathing through your noise, you continued to suck along his length, letting the tip of his cock slide down your throat every time.
“Oh Great Mother!” He breathed out, tightening his grip around your hair which was bunched into his hands making you whine as he continued, “you are so fucking good for me.”
Humming in response to the praise, you then picked up your pace, encouraging Neteyamt to buck his hips into you with his cockhead repeatedly hitting the back of your throat. He loved how gorgeous you looked with his dick stuffed into your mouth, taking him so well.
Tears began to set on your eye waterline as he kept slamming his thick cock into your mouth, you felt his shaft twitch and you began swirling your tongue around him again knowing he was nearing his end. You wanted to feel his length pulsate before his bittersweet cum filled your mouth for you to swallow down.
Suddenly, Neteyam pulled you off him and you cried out at the loss after enjoying pleasing him so much. He chuckled, releasing your hair and sitting up next to you, pressing a kiss to your swollen and spit covered lips. “No, baby. I want to finish with you.”
“Oh.” Your face heated up as his hands grabbed your waist, pushing you down onto your back again.
“My sweet girl.”
He was quick to thrust his knee up to your clothed core making your squirm and whine in relief at the contact. He pressed his warm, soft lips against yours hungrily and you gladly allowed his tongue entry into your own mouth, letting your lips move in a needy rhythm. Your body was sparking, hands pulling him closer to you as Neteyam deepened the kiss.
Gasping at the unexpected contact of Neteyam’s hands massaging your tits again, his tongue dived deeper into your mouth, working against your own as you began shuddering from the light pinches on your hardened nipples.
He slowly pulled away and his gaze darkened as he looked down at your needy, trembling body. “Looks like I need to take care of my baby, huh?”
Nodding, you slowly grinded yourself against his knee trying to give your throbbing clit the attention it needed. “Please ‘Teyam.”
You needed him. You wanted to feel all of him. You wanted to feel him and only him. You wanted to become one with him.
Neteyam let out a low hum of amusement. The fabric of your loincloth was coated in your arousal, dampening the fabric. “Look how messy you are, my love. You really can’t wait, can you?”
Heat flushed your cheeks and you shook your head, hands leaving him ans moving up to cover your face. You couldn’t help but feel a little bit bashful. “Just want you, ‘Teyam.”
His large hands quickly gripped your wrists, forcing you to show your face again as he bit his lip and stared at you with desire. “Don’t worry, I can’t wait either.”
Releasing your wrists, he began peppering kisses all over your body and your hands rested onto his muscular shoulders. His hands found their way to the sides of your hips as his legs remained between yours. All you wanted to do was buck your hips back into him knowing exactly what would press against your throbbing heat.
Neteyam only let out a small chuckle as he could tell just how riled up you were getting and it made him ravenous. His large hands swayed down to caress your fleshy thighs before he knelt back, swiftly hooking them over his shoulders and you began to squirm as he slowly loosened the thick string holding your loincloth around your hips.
You inhaled sharply at the exposure, feeling his cool breath on your sopping cunt.
“You smell divine, my love.” He looked like a starved man as he gazed up from your glistening heat to your heavy-lided eyes, heaving chest and parted lips. He pressed a few chase kisses on your inner thighs and you swallowed in anticipation.
You were burning for his touch.
A moan erupted within you as he dipped his head down, hot tongue licking up the slick along your folds. Encouraged by your body jolting at the contact of his mouth on your wet pussy, Neteyam slid his tongue into your entrance. Your mewls for him were so sweet and delicate as he began eating you out and he quickly realised that he never wanted to stop as long as you were you were moaning out for him like you currently were whilst tasting so sweet.
Your hands found their way to his hair and began to interlock, clutching his thick braids.
“Oh, ‘Teyam!” You gasped in a mixture of shock and pleasure as his plump lips found your swollen, pulsing clit and you arched your back – desperate for more.
He was sucking at you and flicking his tongue over your bud, his grip so tight around your thighs that you were sure there would be light bruises tomorrow. It only intensified the pleasure building up in your core until he suddenly slipped a long slender finger into your heat and began to slowly push it in and out of you.
“So wet and warm for me baby,” his voice vibrated against you – effectively sending you into a euphoric state as he added another finger into your entrance. His dick was throbbing with the need for you.
All that could be heard around the Tree of Souls was your mewling and the squelching of the love of your life pumping his fingers into you and sucking your clit, causing your walls clenched around him.
Once Neteyam added a third finger, he began to slightly curl them upwards – reaching for your most sensitive spot. And it didn’t take long to find. His digits easily slipped in and out of your velvety heat, reaching for that spongey spot inside of you.
“T-Teyam I-I’m-,” you began to whine, legs writhering in pleasure. Between the attention his mouth was paying to your sensitive bud and his fingers buried deep inside of you, reaching the right spot every time, you knew you were nearing your end. The sensations he gave you were otherworldly, and you knew you couldn’t hang on much longer.
“Come for me, my beautiful mate.”
He quickened his pace, flicking your clit with his wet tongue in an animalistic state. You could feel everything intensifying and you cried out as his fingers hit your g-spot one last time and finally pushed you over the edge.
Your cunt was clenching around his fingers and your felt him smirk against you.
Stars filled your vision and your walls convulsed around him, your moaning and panting filled the air as your orgasm washed over you like a wave. He began harshly lapping up all your juices as you reached the peak of pleasure that he was giving you.
Your whole body was tingling as he carefully removed his fingers, leaving you empty and pressed one softer and loving kiss to your sensitive bud before he leaned back. Lifting your shaking legs off his shoulders, he gently reached for you and pulled you into his warm embrace and your arms loosely wrapped around him – tired from the immense pleasure.
With your head resting over his shoulder, he pressed a kiss to the side of your head and murmered. “You did so well for me, baby.”
A smile graced your lips and your eyes fluttered shut as you kissed the nape of his neck. “You’re wonderful Ma Neteyam.”
His hand made it’s way to your neck and lifted your head, pressing his swollen lips to yours and he held you closer. You could taste yourself on him.
He couldn’t deny how painfully hard he was right now, the whole time he was drinking you, he couldn’t stop thinking about how he wanted to be buried deep inside of your sopping heat.
“Are you sure you want to spend the rest of your life mated to me?”
You laughed lightly, inhaling his comforting scent before pressing soft kisses along his jaw. “Don’t be a skxawng. Of course, I do. There’s nothing else I want more in all of Pandora.”
Neteyam stilled beside you in disbelief. “Really?”
“I want it so bad,” you moaned against his lips. “I want to make Tsaheylu with you and spend the rest of my life with you. I want to have a family and grow old with you, wherever it takes us… I’m there.” You could feel his long, hard length pressing against you. “I want your cock inside of me.”
He chuckled - heart rushing at your words and reached for your long, thick braid that protected your queue.
“I am so incredibly and undoubtedly in love with you, Ma ‘Teyam.”
“I feel the exact same for you, my love.” He reached for his own queue and lifted it to yours. The tendrils were poking out and desperately reaching to touch.
When your queue’s finally made contact and intertwined, everything changed. You both gasped out, panting at the deep-rooted connection and you gazed into each other’s orbs through your lashes with dilated pupils. Connecting in a way that you had never before.
Your hearts beat together as one. Your breathed together as one. You felt together as one. Passion, desire, longing, love, acceptance and understanding swirled between you both. Everything was heightened and intensified between you both now.
And with that, your mouths hungrily crashed together – swapping saliva and the lingering taste of your juices. Your legs moved to straddle him in an upright position.
Neteyam’s large hands roamed your body, caressing your curves and cupping the flesh of your ass until he was lying on his back with you hoisted over him, straddling his hips. Groaning into your lips, he bucked his hips up to your wet heat making you moan. His hard, thick length begging for your touch.
“Ride me, baby?” he rasped, staring at your perfect body through his dark and determined eyes. His fingers tickled your torso as they moved up your body before cupping your tits in his hands.
“Fuck, yes please.” You breathed out, grinding your wet and sensitive folds over his bare shaft.
The sensation alone caused you both to whine at having no barrier separate you both. You repeated your actions, sliding along his length – coating his member in your slick and you couldn’t get over just how thick his girth was before the bulbous tip of his cock brushed against your clit causing you to gasp in pleasure.
Netaym was about to lose his mind. His hands rested on your hips, halting your movements. “Y/N, as much as I love this. I think I will die if I’m not inside you soon.”
You giggled slightly, reaching down to wrap your hand around the base of his dick. “Can’t have that now, can we my mate?” And with that, your grasp around his length tightened slightly before your guiding the tip towards your entrance before you began to sink down.
He entered you in one swift motion and cry escaped your lips at how easily he slid into you and how much fucking better it felt to have him inside you. It was overwhelming to be so close and consumed in one another.
He was stretching your walls apart in a way he had never done so before. Your soaking warm cunt was clenching around Neteyam’s member and he swears that has never felt so truly at loss for words before. Usually, he would never surrender to anything, trying to remain a strong Olo’eyktan-in-training, but right now he felt completely at your mercy. Your bare velvety walls around him had his balls throbbing and his he couldn’t stop thinking about his cum painting your walls white within the next second.
As soon as you lifted up slightly, feeling his thick cock glide against your slippery heat, Neteyam groaned and bit his lip whilst his hands gripped your thighs.
“You feel so fucking good.” You breathed out, resting your hand on his torso for balance
A moan erupted in his throat, “you’re incredible.”
You slowly slid back down onto his cock, adjusting to his size and moaning at the feeling of him filling you up so full and completely as your tail swayed behind you.
Before you could move again, voices echoed in the distance of the forest and your froze but Neteyam only smirked and gripped your waist tightly.
Your eyes were wide as you looked down at your mate from your intimate position. You swallowed nervously. “I think there’s people coming here.”
“So let them,” he looked at you with lustful and determined eyes. Your core clenched around him and he groaned, “let them know that you belong to me.”
And suddenly, you were on your back with wide eyes, gasping at the new angle where Neteyam’s massive cock was still sheathed inside of your tight hole. His words had your walls subconsciously fluttering around him as he pulled back until his tip teased your entrance.
“Neteyam!” You gasped out at his action and the different persona he now portrayed. Your hands gripped onto his biceps as he slammed his hips up into yours – cock hitting deep within you and balls slapping against your ass. Your delicate, oversensitive walls were barely managing but it felt so fucking good and you craved this new sensation more.
“Feel amazing, baby. You’re taking me so well.”
Your legs were hooked over his hips and his lips pressed against yours before he began thrusting into your soaking pussy. His pace was slow and deep; you could feel ever single inch of him as he impaled his thick, long cock into you.
The lewd noise of your skin slapping against each other filled the surrounding area along with your desperate mewls and moans. Each time Neteyam’s hips smoothly met yours, he was reaching so deeply into you. Neither of you could overcome the bare sensation of feeling each other.
“Someone will h-hear us ‘T-Teyam!” You panted, concerned about other Na’Vi seeing or hearing you both.
“I want them to,” he grunted darkly. The voices were still heard in the distance, “let them hear that you’re my mate.”
A loud cackle filled your ears. “Come Ka’ani! Over here.” It was the group of warriors that had harassed your earlier today before Neteyam intervened.
“Let them know how good I make you feel. That you’re mine and I’m yours. That they’ll never have you.” Neteyam moaned out at your tightening around him, his deep, rich voice making your heart swell and your legs tighten around his hips – pulling him even closer to you if that was even possible. It caused his pelvic bone to rub against your clit each time with his deep thrusts whilst your tits bounced along.
“Oh, Netayam!” You gasped out at a particularly rough thrust and your head fell back into the grass underneath you and your back arched in delight at the feeling of his large cock sliding back and forth along your wet, velvety core.
“Fuck. Can’t wait to cum so deep in you…” He grunted before abruptly pulling out of you, causing you to whine at the loss. Your hands fell to your sides as he leaned away to hook his arms under your legs and pushed your knees against your chest.
What the fuck is he doing?
“N-Netyam,” you tried to put your legs back down but he was holding them in place and his strength ignited a deeper arousal within you.
He hooked your legs over his shoulders whilst his hard member rubbed against your throbbing folds. You mewled loudly at the contact, staring at the grin on your mate’s face. He knew exactly what he was doing. He knew this position was going to be too deep for you. And you knew that you would cry and moan out even louder than he had already made you.
“T-Teyam,” you bite your lip, whining. You were still so sensitive. “You’re too big.”
He failed miserably at hiding the smile on his face. “I know baby, just think of how deep I’ll be able to cum in your cunt and how those fucking skawngs will have no choice but to hear me make love to you and claim you as mine. They won’t ever dare to approach you again.”
The thought made you roll your hips against his length. You couldn’t deny how much you wanted it.
He leaned down, connecting your lips vehemently.
“You feel this, my love?” He began with a smirk, large hand covering the lower part of your stomach, just below your belly button.
You nodded with a shaky breath. “Y-yeah.”
“This is where you’re gonna feel me cum, baby.”
“T-Teyam ugnhhh.” You cried out in euphoria as Neteyam slipped his cock back into your entrance and thrusted up into you hard. You jolted back from impact and your hands reached out holding onto his strong arms for support. He thrusted into you a few times grunting until he was buried into your heat to the hilt, balls deep whilst the tip of his cock was kissing your cervix causing you to gasp.
“Oh, fuck! Great Mother!”
Netayam only took your hand in his, placing it over between your hips where his own hand once was. He pushed his hips further into yours and you swear you could feel him in your throat. “You feel that, my love? You feel how well your pretty pussy takes my big cock?” hepanted, pressing the palm of your hand down making your gasp lightly once you felt the head of his cock inside of you – bulging out.
“Neteyam!” You moaned, eyes fluttering shut.
“Good girl. That’s it. Scream my name so the whole forest can hear that you belong to me now.” He placed his hands on either side of you, allowing you to hold onto his arms again whilst your legs remained over his shoulders and his hip began to snap into you. He slid into you so easily.
“So perfect for me,” he grunted, speeding up his pace causing you to whine uncontrollably at the overwhelming feeling of his dick so deep inside you, all from the new position he was reaching spots that you didn’t even know existed.
Neteyam’s balls smacked against your ass whilst sounds of your wetness echoed. You began to raise your hips slightly to meet his thrusts and waves of euphoria began to fill your senses.
Your silky heat clenched around him and a deep grunt escaped Neteyam’s throat as he quickened his pace. “You gonna cum again, Ma Y/N? You want me to stuff you full of my seed when you cream around my cock?”
“Y-yes p-please ungh.” You struggled to get words out between his deeps thrusts and you could feel him shudder slightly, signalling that he was close.
“Look at me, my love. Wanna see you cum around me.” Neteyam’s hips ruthlessly slammed into you, relentlessly hitting the perfect spot inside you every time. “Fuck, baby you feel so good. You’re so amazing. So good for me.”
His skin was hot against yours as you pulled him in for a brief kiss. Pulling, back you blearily gazed into his eyes. “Cum inside me ‘Teyam.”
Moans, cries and grunts of pure bliss surrounded Vitrautral with the scent of sex as Neteyam continued to deeply impale you with his cock. He revelled in the way your soaked cunt clenched around him with every thrust and he knew that you’d be falling apart for him soon.
The intensity of truly feeling each other was becoming overwhelming and your lungs were gasping for air. Every stroke of his bare cock inside your tightening walls suddenly had you on the edge.
“Go on my love. Cum for me. Let your pussy cream all over me, baby.”Neteyam’s low voice remained deep and was filled with love whilst throaty moans of his own filled the air. He quickened his pace and it felt like he was going impossibly deeper into your squelching pussy as you began to quiver around him.
“T-Teyam I’m g-gonna-”
“Good girl, let go for me.” He encouraged you, thrusting harder into your heat whilst your walls gripped him like a vice, sucking him in.
His words finally sent you over the edge and you moaned out in ecstasy, uncontrollably convulsing around him as he began chasing his own high. Your body was shaking in pleasure as Neteyam let your legs fall back down around his hips and your hands found their way, intertwining with his dark locks whilst your mouth was agape. He continued to pound into you through your own orgasm and you soon felt him pulsate inside of you around your quivering pussy.
“Cum, Ma ‘Teyam. Fill me up. Make me yours.”
And so, he pressed his lips to yours once more with his fangs grazing your plump lips, pumping into you a few more times before burying himself deep within you – with the most beautiful rich moan vibrating against your mouth, for the first time he emptied himself within your walls. His hot white seed endlessly spurted against your womb.
A high-pitched exhale left your throat, mixing in with your pants and Neteyam’s soft groans of pleasure as he finished emptying himself inside of you.
He slowly pulled his softening member out and you let out a quiet moan as you felt his cum trickle out of your battered cunt. Collapsing beside you, queue’s still connected, he wrapped his arms around you as you leaned against him with your body aching in pleasure.
As you both tried to catch your breath, he nestled his head into yours and soothingly rubbed his hands over your body. The glow from the Tree of Souls vines illuminating each other alongside the bioluminescent freckles that littered over each other’s bodies.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“I’m yours, Neteyam. Forever and always.”
He tenderly kissed the side of your forehead. “Forever and Always.”
---
The sound of slapping and high-pitched moans and cries filled the young Omatikaya warrior’s twitching ears as he trailked behind his friends within the forest of Pandora.
“Come, Ka’ani! Over here.” Takuk called out to him, pulling his attention away from the obscene noises.
“I’m coming-” he began but was soon cut off by what sounded like Y/N’s voice in pure ecstasy.
“Fuck! Oh, Great Mother!”
Ka’ani stilled at the sound. Takuk was jogging over to him, giving his friend a confused look. “Bro, what are you doing?”
“Neteyam!” You voice bounced off the trees around them, the faint glow of the Tree of Souls in the near distance.
Ka’ani groaned as Takuk let out an exasperated sigh. “Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me.”

...hmm...just thinkin' about an Avatar "no angst" AU, y'know, like an AU where the characters who died in the first movie just...didn't? For example...
• Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are both alive and well. They officially tied the knot not long after the point when Sylwanin would've died in canon, and already have a child together by the time Jake arrives on Pandora.
• Eytukan also lives and therefore he and Mo'at are still leading the clan, though of course Tsu'tey and Sylwanin are next in line.
• Because the schoolhouse incident never happened in this AU, Grace was never kicked out of the village; her school is still running and she is on good terms with the Omatikaya.
• The RDA is overall less psychotic than they are in canon, and the Avatar Program has been largely successful in establishing diplomacy with the local clans. There is still some level of tension between the humans and the Na'vi of course, because the humans are ultimately still there to mine unobtainium and the Na'vi would prefer there was no mining at all, but in this AU the RDA is at least principled enough to not do things like bulldoze the Tree of Voices or bomb Hometree etc. (so, Hometree is still standing). Jake was never asked to spy on the Na'vi.
• Grace is actually the one to introduce Jake to Neytiri when she brings Jake and Norm along to the school one day. Neytiri is intrigued by the goofy non-scientist "warrior" dreamwalker and Jake finds himself equally intrigued by her; they begin spending more and more time together, and when Jake expresses curiosity about her way of life Neytiri just naturally kinda takes it upon herself to teach him the ways of the clan.
• Because Neytiri is neither tsakarem nor engaged to Tsu'tey in this AU, her romance with Jake is not quite as ~forbidden~ as it was in canon (and honestly they make zero effort to hide their feelings; the whole clan knows lol). The only remaining barrier is the fact that he's a dreamwalker and how that may affect things.
• Jake and Neytiri fall head over heels for each other about as fast as they do in canon; after three months Jake is already fully convinced that he wants remain with Neytiri and the clan for the rest of his life rather than ever go back to Earth, where there is nothing left for him. Even getting the spinal surgery to fix his legs no longer holds any interest for him, since of course his avatar body can walk just fine.
• By that point Neytiri begs Mo'at and Eytukan to let Jake do the coming-of-age ceremonies and become part of the clan so they can become mates. Mo'at and especially Eytukan are hesitant, but Mo'at consults Eywa and Eywa sends a sign of approval, so they allow it. Jake spends about an extra month preparing more specifically for Iknimaya and Uniltaron, and soon after completing those he and Neytiri actually get to have a proper mating ceremony. Jake does go through the permanent consciousness transfer at some point, though I haven't yet come up with the exact circumstances there...
• The Sully kids get to have more extended family! Grandpa Eytukan, Uncle Tsu'tey, and Aunt Sylwanin are all still around, along with a handful of cousins (Tsu'tey's and Sylwanin's kids).
• Quaritch never shot Grace in this AU, which means she never had to undergo the attempted consciousness transfer, which means Kiri wasn't conceived the way she was in canon. Buuuuuut I still want Kiri as part of the Sully family, so in this AU she is Jake and Neytiri's biological daughter and Neteyam's twin. She doesn't have the special Eywa powers that she has in canon, but does still have a spiritually-minded personality, and is a strong candidate for next tsakarem after Sylwanin. Grace still adores and dotes on her, especially when she shows interest in botany.
• Norm and Trudy are happy in a long-term relationship.
• There was no Battle at the Hallelujah Mountains, therefore Paz didn't die and was still around to raise Spider (undecided on how involved Quaritch was though).
• I like to imagine that in this AU Paz and Trudy are good friends, both being pilots and all. It's through Trudy that Paz and Spider become involved with folks from the Avatar program and Spider meets the Sully kids.
• Because she doesn't have the RDA-related traumas she has in canon, Neytiri is totally chill with Spider in this AU. She is mostly just curiously amused by the strange little human boy running around with his Na'vi friends.
• Spider is semi-trilingual English/Spanish/Na'vi. English is his go-to since everyone he knows can speak it, but he can also do some Spanish (Paz and maybe Trudy's influence) and quite a lot of Na'vi (Omatikaya influence, though Norm was thrilled to help when he caught wind that Spider was interested in learning). Sometimes he (subconsciously) mixes up a combination of any two or even all three and spews out mishmash sentences no one else understands immediately and has to stop and re-word.
• Because Quaritch is not the Big Bad Evil Guy the way he is in canon, Spider isn't really bothered by being called Miles. However, the nickname "Spider" somehow just stuck when he was very young so most people still call him that; it's mostly just Paz (and Quaritch) who call him Miles.
• Jake is not Toruk Makto in this AU, because with the RDA being more cooperative/less aggressive, he never needed to be. He and Neytiri are just normal (albeit well-liked/respected) hunters in the clan. Perhaps eventually a day will come when Toruk Makto is needed and Jake will have some reason to step up...but not yet. He's perfectly content being just a regular clan member.
• This has the side-effect of lessening Neteyam and Lo'ak's dramatic stunts as teenagers, because the legacy they're trying to live up to is simply "strong respectable hunter" rather than "legendary olo'eyktan Toruk Makto"

ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: jake sully x male reader (+sully family)
Tumblr media
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: There were many struggles that came with fatherhood—you must find a solution for each one.
ᴀɴᴏɴ: jake and reader are like the dads of the sully children, basically the sully's having gay dads??
ʀᴇ𝐐: yes ~ ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 6565
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: mentions of death (lighthearted) never happens tho, swearing, much worrying about children, surrogate neytiri referring to your kids as hers too (idk just in case)
Tumblr media
ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: so. i've got a lot of things to say. that's why i'm putting a second a/n at the bottom. - two gays cannot have an avatar child if they can't have children therefore surrogate Neytiri <3 - my first attempt at writing a full sentence in Na'vi, y'all are probably not fluent in it but i hope it's correct. - regrettably, there's only one scene with Tuk and only one mention of Spider - less about the relationship between jake and reader, more about the children
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Neteyam was a blessing.
Him and Neytiri both.
When she agreed to be a surrogate for your children, you were both over the moon, over each of the three of Eywa'eveng.
Neytiri knew it best, the stress of having a child. Though it was all her, her body, her belly, her birthing, you and Jake stuck to her side and stressed with her. You could see her pain, in her eyes, and Jake said he felt it himself.
The musings did not help Neytiri through the pain.
Omatikaya welcoming ceremonies consisted of everyone in the village, close family, friends, acquaintances, everyone rounded up to welcome the newborn. But this one was special, for there was one mother and two fathers. Strange as it may have been, the three of you knew there'd be plenty more to come.
When Jake held him up towards the sky, calling the name, "Neteyam", you knew the name truly belonged to him, even if the newborn had yet developed characteristic traits.
The first year was not pretty. If it weren't for Mo'at and Neytiri–and thought it may be harsh, it is the truth–Neteyam would probably be dead.
Jake always knew there was a thing with babies. They didn't have a sense of danger. On Earth, some of the deadliest stuff they could find was a fork and an outlet. On Pandora, however, there were much worse things.
He was aware of this, both of you were, of the Hammerheads, Thanators, Viperwolves that each posed a dangerous threat to your child. Even herbivores, like Flathead Rams, could trample over your baby like he was nothing. He couldn't roam, either, for he didn't know the difference between a poisonous plant and a safe one, and the differences were scarce. Not to mention, they grew close to the ground. Even the carnivorous plants were huge enough to swallow him whole.
So you both watched him, most of the time.
When the hunt called, however, it was only one of you. You took turns.
Why? Because the mighty Toruk Makto, Olo'eyktan of the Omatikaya, once war chief of three tribes at once, was not exempt from taking care of the baby.
Besides, he kind of liked it. He liked looking at his boy, knowing that in all ways except biological, Neteyam was his.
He loved when the little baby wrapped his four little blue fingers around one of his five large ones. He was so tiny, so defenseless. He had to take care of him. Couldn't let him out of his sight.
He was also so, so cute.
Neteyam lets out a little yawn, stretching all his limbs except for the hand holding his father's finger.
"Aww," Jake coos. "dinner's in a bit. The game's not even here yet. You can sleep."
As time passes, and Neteyam drifts off in his father's warm, large arms that encompassed him, Jake gets lost in the sight and his thoughts. Neteyam was his child. He never thought he'd have one.
He doesn't register the sound of you propping your bow up on the wall, or your footsteps, or a portion of the fresh hunt being placed next to the fire.
In fact, he doesn't really notice you at all until you sit next to him.
You wrap your arms around him, one around his back, the other around his stomach below his arms and Neteyam, and settle your head into the crook of his neck.
Jake laughs lowly, your nose against his neck's skin slightly ticklish—he didn't think the Na'vi were ticklish, hadn't learned it until he was victim to your fingers. "Kxì, my love. Tired?"
"Ngenga pllertxe fura tawtute lì'fya... ‘Ìnglìsì. Tìftang si." (You're speaking that sky people language... English. Stop it.)
Ever since the first time, he's memorized the words, therefore knows their meaning. "You know I don't speak Na'vi well. Right? Or are you too tired to remember?"
"Perfectly conscious enough to remember." You laugh lazily, "Just love to tease you."
Jake presses the side of his head against the top of yours, the best affection he can offer with Neteyam in his arms. "Zola‘u nìprrte’. Happy?"
"Yes."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Where Neteyam was yours, Lo'ak was Jake's.
But first, came the unexpected Kiri. A month after Neytiri affirmed that she would have your second child, Norm and Max called with a panic.
One morning, as bored eyes strayed from scientific screens and microscopes, Norm discovered a bump on Grace's avatar's body. There were many theories, but each was discredited. The tank was safe, you were all sure, even if you did not know anything of the amniotic fluid within it. It wasn't scratched, didn't show any signs of opening, it displayed nothing at all. So what could be the cause?
The answer went unanswered for another two months. Until, at the third month, Norm realized that the size lined up with that of a human pregnancy. It was already the size of a seven month old baby bump. Which meant... soon enough, the vacant avatar would be having a baby.
There was hardly a discussion of who would raise it. Jake knew that he was indebted to Grace, that even though he had yet another child on the way, whatever came of Grace's avatar was his to take care of.
Kiri was born first. Lo'ak was soon to be on his way. However, the season for the first communion with Eywa was approaching. Though having the three of them commune with the Great Mother at the same time would be wonderful, the first communion was not to be delayed.
While Jake helped Neteyam attach his queue to the Tree of Souls, you helped Kiri.
Her eyes, her smile, toothless even, her dilated pupils... She was elated. She was so happy, and you mirrored her smile too.
This wasn't your kid, wasn't Jake's either, but you would raise her as one of your own.
Lo'ak and Kiri... they both came out with five fingers and little eyebrows. It was a scary thing, to have children that looked different from everyone else. Jake knew that, with an Avatar body, it was possible. Seeing it himself, though...
Neteyam, being oldest, required a little less care. He slept by himself at his crib. The newborns slept with you whilst the two of you waited for Neytiri's hunt.
Lo'ak was cuddled up in his father's arms, Kiri in yours. Her fingers were wrapped around your smallest finger, what Jake would call his ring finger. "Five fingers.." You muttered to yourself. You'd counted them many times over.
Jake hears you. "And eyebrows."
"Just like you." You muse with a laugh. Jake laughs along too, but you notice the difference; his laugh lacks its usual humor.
"What is it?" You ask, concerned lace with his words like the weaving of a necklace.
"Nothing." He shakes his head. He couldn't worry you, especially because he wasn't even sure if these five fingers and eyebrows would make any difference.
"I can tell there's something." You remain stubborn, scooting even closer to him. It was one of the qualities he actually loved about you, as annoying as it could be. "You can't evade me, darling."
"Darling? You picked up the word?"
"Jake." You're deflecting.
"I know." He sighs, "I know. It's just... They're different, Kiri and Lo'ak, different from others their age. It's not something I want for them."
"You think it'll affect the way they are treated?"
"Yes."
"Darling." You repeat the pet name more stern now, calling for his attention. He lifts his gaze from his baby boy to meet your eyes. They're yellow, they're golden, just like his. "You were different. But now you are not. You're Olo'eyktan, one of the us; one of the people, one of the Omatikaya. These children are yours, and they are mine. They are part of the Omatikaya."
"But they–"
"Extra fingers, extra hair on their face. The eyebrows are expressive, lovely. The fingers are good, help with dexterity." You tilt your head forward, "They will be fine."
Just as the same as he yearns to hold you, he wishes he believed you. For now, however, he settles on your only point of contact being your lips, and his assured belief about these children being that you and he would love them to the ends of the Earth.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The differences meant nothing to Jake, there would be no change in the way he treated them. Soon enough, he'd sort of forgotten, for the most part.
What couldn't be forgotten, though, were his Olo'eyktan duties.
The problem was, you were gone for a little while. The second problem was, Neytiri was taking care of Neteyam. Now that didn't quiet seem like a problem, but she was taking care of him before you left and before he realized he had important Olo'eyktan stuff to do. He couldn't just bother Neytiri to take care of his kids! The third problem was, they were his kids! He couldn't just leave them. They were hardly two months old.
So now, he was left with a dilemma. Baby carriers.
For humans, it was a little embarrassing to, as a father, be wearing one of them. But to the Na'vi, it was just another part of life, a necessity.
Jake was a Na'vi now. He had to get over human societal norms.
"Hanging in there, baby girl?" Jake asks Kiri–as if she can understand him–who unfortunately has to take the tight space on his back.
After getting the silent answer he was expecting, Jake begins his work. As expected, no Na'vi seem to pay him any mind. They greet him just the same as any other day, the only difference being the small coos directed at his children. He's just happy they love them.
As Jake checks his daughter is safe on his back for the umpteenth time, he hears something wrong.
Click.
He stares ahead, obviously disturbed. His eyebrow furrows as he finds the camera, with a diminishing flash, being held by the scientist he regrettably called a friend.
"Norm, don't you have shit to do?" The swear word doesn't faze him, for the babies were too young to even register the word.
The scientist adjusts his exopack over his shit-eating grin. "Research, Jake." He gives off a hint as his amusement with each word he speaks, "I’m capturing the Mighty Toruk Makto in his natural form. Which is adorable." He winks.
"Uh-huh." Jake replies; contrasting his friend, he remains unamused. "Kiss the dark side of my blue–" Out of the corner of his eye, he spots Mo'at. Shit, Mo'at. She knew English and he needed to talk to her.
"You are a lucky man, Norm." Jake turns on his heels, leaving Norm behind as he heads towards the Tsahìk.
When he does so, though, Kiri turns her head as much as she can to stare at the human scientist curiously. Norm takes the opportunity.

☾⋆☆⋆☽
Lo'ak and Kiri were, relative to their brother, the same age. They also looked the most like each other, excluding their father. They both had the characteristic traits of an avatar, traits that set them apart from the rest of the clan. Because of this, you thought they'd be inseparable, best friends. Instead, they fought, and fought, and fought.
It was weird, even, that Kiri often sought out her older brother's company over her baby brother's.
These peculiarities' origins, however, were solved when you realized the common point of these arguments. Lo'ak. Lo'ak was a troublesome kid in that he loved freedom, and even more, loved to be possessive.
Within seven years, many things were taught. Jake, for one, learned much of the Na'vi language. In fact, it was practically English to him. Sometimes he forgot what language he began the sentence with, and he would end up starting with Na'vi and ending with English or mixing in a couple words in the middle.
As far as the kids were concerned, it was gibberish. At least, for a couple years. After they dominated the Na'vi language well enough, they began to learn English. Their main teacher was their father, not their sempu, so when things like this happened...
"I hate you times infinity, Lo'ak! Penis face!"
It was his fault.
After the kids' argument was swiftly dealt with (the toy had to be threatened to be cut in half, and then they stopped), Jake places the toy in Kiri's hands. "Kid, go find your brother." He sighs, "You can play with him."
"I don't wanna play with him." Lo'ak crosses his arms, stomping his foot. "He's a sucker."
"Hey, now, that's not a good thing to say about your brother." Jake presses a harsh finger against his son's shoulder. "What would Neteyam think?"
"It's true! And he needs to know it!"
"If your sempu was here, you'd be–"
"Sempu's here." You call. The kids didn't really realize you heard the beginning of what Jake was going to say. Instead, they run to hug you. Kiri drops the much beloved toy they so desperately wanted earlier, in favor of wrapping her arms around your waist.
You scoop each of them up, each held by one strong arm. Even so, knowing that the position is weak, they steady themselves by wrapping their small limbs as far around you as they can. "Now, what was it that you needed me for?"
"Nothing, sempu." Kiri shakes her head, pressing her head against your shoulder. "Just a little dispute."
"Yes. A dispute." Lo'ak agrees with the wide nod of his head, though he pronounces the word much worse than Kiri does. Seems he slacked off on their latest English lessons and somehow ignored the word "penis" that Kiri vividly recalls.
"Ooh, dispute? Where'd you learn that big word, huh?" You coo, rubbing your nose into her hair. She laughs at the feeling, it's almost ticklish.
"Dad." She replies simply.
"Yeah, well, they also managed to learn the word "penis" from me." While you gawk dramatically at your children, Jake sticks his tongue out at them just as childishly. Little suck ups. He mouths.
Lo'ak sticks his tongue back out at his own father, to which you slap him gently on the hip. "What situation requires that," You think of a suitably negative word , uglily scrunching up your nose so that the children can have something to laugh at. "despicable word?"
"Lo'ak," Kiri is quick to tell, "was trying to steal my toy!"
"No I wasn't!" Lo'ak huffs. If he were on the ground, he'd have stumped his feet. Instead, they kick the air.
"Yes you were!" She retorts.
"Which one, the one so sadly on the floor?"
At the mention of its position, they both turn their gazes towards it. Kiri dares to mutter a little "uh-oh" as her eyes find it. Whilst they are distracted by the dread building up in their bodies, you look to Jake. Go find Neteyam. I'll deal with these two.
Silently, he nods, and slips away while the children begin to make up excuses. As he walks down the river bank, he hears a shout from the house. "You're a big fat liar!"
If memory served right, Neteyam wanted to visit Neytiri. Out of all of their kids, he took to her the most.
A part of him, at the back of his mind, wonders how all his children will react once they learn who their mother is.
He doesn't indulge in the thought. Instead, he focuses on the task ahead. The path from his home to Neytiri's was one he memorized, and he made sure when he built his home that it wouldn't be a long distance.
He doesn't expect to find the two of them, Neteyam and Neytiri, outside of the house. Neither does he expect his son to be so vigorously training even after training hours.
"That's it. Remember your stance." Neytiri advises Neteyam, patting his shoulder. "You're doing great."
"Hey!" Jake greets the two. The sudden call surprises Neteyam, which makes his shot fly off to the side.
The boy frowns, but his lips soon lift as he turns to greet his father. "Hi dad."
"Hello, my son." He nods. His smile turns a little more stern as he turns to Neytiri. "Hello, auntie Tiri. What's going on?"
Neytiri opens her mouth to speak, but Neteyam taps her thigh and mouths a little something. It's not hard to read his lips, nor had he tried to hid it so hard, but Jake looks away out of respect.
Auntie Tiri nods and looks back up to Jake, "I figured he needed some practice."
"He practiced this morning."
"I know." She raises one hand up in surrender, "Practice makes perfect." She ruffles Neteyam's hair. Though coming from his dad it was annoying, it is apparently endearing coming from his aunt. "Could I talk to you in the house?"
"Of course."
She hardly waits for him to reply before she pats Neteyam on the head again and says, "I'll be right back, keep practicing."
Neteyam nods excitedly. However, Jake stops him. "No, put that down." It dampens his son's spirits, but he nods. Both of them know that something could go wrong if Neteyam practices unsupervised.
Neytiri rolls her eyes, but doesn't protest. Instead, she heads inside, Jake close behind.
"What is it that–"
"Your son, our kid, " She begins with firmness. "he came to me asking me to help him improve."
"What? He's only seven." Jake reasons, "Why would he?"
"He's your oldest." She replies simply. "Your heir, the next Olo'eyktan. There's a lot of pressure that comes with that." She spoke with experience. Between you, him, and her, she had so much more experience. He wonders sometimes how they've come to this arrangement, if she could be a better mom than he, a dad.
"Yeah… I know. But I don't give him any pressure. I make sure of it." Does he really? Are each of his words premeditated, thought out?
"He's only a year older than Lo'ak and Kiri, but he already has it ingrained in him that he has to protect them." Neytiri crosses her arms, giving him a pointed look, "Like you said, he's seven. He still deserves to be hugged and kissed."
"I try to."
"You try to?"
"It's hard when, you know…" He sighs, "your parents coddled your brother more than you."
She purses her lips, thinks it over. "I may not know about you and your brother," She begins on a lighter note. "but I know that you can relate your experiences with him with our children, your sons. At least you know what not to do. Just make sure they know you love them, and that they are still children that should play, while you still can."
"Yeah." He nods, "I will."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The children played with each other, for once not beckoning their parents into play or sparking arguments between each other.
So for the first time in a long time, you had some moments of peace.
"He reminds me a lot of Neytiri, Neteyam." You spoke in a hushed voice, wary of their young ears.
"How so?" Jake squeezes your shoulder, his arm wrapped around it.
"His smile. It's a lot like hers. Toothy, isn't it?" He was smiling right now. Though it didn't compare to some of his biggest moments of joy, his smile still displayed his growing teeth. It was adorable.
He only has to think of it for a moment before agreeing, "Yeah."
"He's good with his bow. Don't doubt that he'll make a great hunter one day. And his love for Ikran..." Your face lights up at the memories, "even though he doesn't have one."
"About that, love..." Jake begins solemnly.
You turn to him, away from your playing children, at his serious tone. "What is it?"
"Neteyam," He glances over at the boy. Thankfully, he hadn't heard him speak his name. He lowers his voice and continues, "Neytiri told me he's been trying to get better at using a bow."
"Hm, well, he's probably trying to impress us."
"And that he wanted to protect his siblings. He feels," He purses his lips, "like its his responsibility. It's what he worries about."
"Does he?" You huff, "He has asked a lot lately, about the dangers of the jungle. I thought he just wanted to look out for himself, but now that I think about it..."
"He wanted to know so that he could keep his siblings safe." Jake finishes for you.
"Hey, I wanted to play with it!"
"I had it first!"
Before either of you can act, Neteyam stands first. He gives you only the smallest of glances before pushing his siblings away from each other.
"What? Hey!" Lo'ak shouts.
"Go away, Neteyam!" Kiri struggles against her brother's hold.
At his sudden interference, the toy falls to the ground. Neteyam kicks it to his feet. "Stop fighting!" He hisses at the both of them, making them falter. "It's either one or the other. Got that? You can take turns."
"Me first!" The children scream simultaneously, Kiri finishes her sentence first by a millisecond.
"Ugh." Lo'ak groans, but he begrudgingly kicks the toy in her direction. "Fine, you can have it first. But you get ten minutes!"
Kiri grins, picking up the toy, "That's good enough."
With the argument over, Neteyam smiles. He turns back towards his own toy, but not before sparing a not so subtle glance in your direction. Seeing your encouraging smiles, his own grows larger.
"He didn't need to do that."
Jake nods, "But he did, anyway."
"You're right." You shake your head with a sigh, "We should wait for the right moment to tell him."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
That moment doesn't take long.
Lo'ak had grown restless at home, and even more at the village, so he proposed one thing: to let him and his siblings explore the jungle. It wasn't a surprising proposal, you'd allowed them to do so many times before. Neteyam, Kiri, and Lo'ak often explored the jungle; so, you allowed it without a thought.
The jungle was a beautiful place, one you were proud to call home, so you were happy that your children were falling in love with it too.
However, as curfew grows closer and your children do not return yet, your worry begins to grow.
The children had shown time and time again that they knew curfew, knew the way home, knew to come back safely. You trusted them to come back.
Your rapidly growing concern and restlessness burst, and you must find them yourself. As much as Jake had reassured you, as much as you wanted to trust them, something was clearly wrong. You had to find them.
As you mount your ikran, though, they emerge from the tree line.
Neteyam and Lo'ak prop Kiri up, helping her walk. They've got her arms around their shoulders. Together, the three of them, they're mismatched. Lo'ak wishes to run, Neteyam doesn't want to injure Kiri further, and she is weak.
You're quick to whisk Kiri up and bring her inside, whilst Jake grabs a hold of his sons and brings them in too.
You place Kiri down on your hammock, "Where does it hurt?"
"My side." She yells back, her eyes spilling fresh tears. She was scratched up everywhere, from her arms to her knees, but the most concerning gash was on her side. It was a long cut, spanning from her belly button to her chest.
"I got you, baby girl." You assure.
While you rush to patch up Kiri, Jake squats in front of his sons and questions them. "What happened?"
Neither boy wishes to speak, but between the two of them, the culprit is clear. Still, he knows that he has to wait for them to speak up. If Neteyam speaks first, Jake will know what the boy has burdened himself with. If Lo'ak speaks, he will know that the boy has the responsibility to admit his own faults.
Regardless, because none of them speak, Kiri does. She clearly wished to have the culprit, which inadvertently caused her injuries, be punished. "Lo'ak led us to a forbidden area!"
"No I didn't!" Lo'ak bites back.
"Yeah, I did." Neteyam steps forward and puts an arm in front of his brother in order to shield him from his father's impending scolding. "I convinced them it wasn't such a dangerous place."
There it was. Neteyam taking the blame. He took protecting his siblings so far, that he was willing to take the blame and the punishment for what Lo'ak did. Jake hated it, hated that he reminded him of his brother so much.
"Neteyam, you and I both know you know the dangers the most." Jake points a finger at him, "So step back."
The boy follows his instructions, but for once, not obediently. He looks down at the ground and backs off with a subtle scoff.
"Oh, so now you decide he's not to be believed?!" Lo'ak huffs, crossing his arms. "I didn't–"
"You did." Jake interrupts him, "And I need you to admit it."
"Fine!" Lo'ak shouts, "I did it! But I didn't think it would be so dangerous."
"I know that, son." Jake says, placing a hand on his shoulder. Lo'ak tries to shake it off, but he ultimately fails to do so. He settles on ignoring its heavy presence. "But you're still responsible for the consequences."
"I didn't mean for Kiri to get hurt." The boy mumbles.
"Tell that to her."
"I'm sorry, Kiri." He mumbles that too, but Kiri hears it anyway.
Though she rolls her eyes, something Lo'ak can't see because you cover her body with your own as you work away, and accepts the apology, "Fine." She hisses slightly, which Lo'ak mistakes as directed to him. The sound makes him falter.
"The two of you, listen to me." Jake places his other hand on Neteyam's shoulder, pulling the brothers close to each other.
"You should listen too." You tell Kiri. She nods.
"You should all to take care of each other, equally. That means protecting each other. Not just you, Lo'ak; not just you, Kiri," He nods in each of his kids' directions, "not just you, Neteyam. You got that?"
Neteyam nods immediately, while Lo'ak nods with a scowl and eyebrows knitted. He was displeased to be asked to act just like his stuck up brother.
"Hey." Jake shakes his son not so gently to make sure he is paying attention. "Lo'ak, I need you to protect your siblings. Because, in this world, it's not just you. It's all of us, it's this family. Your brother, your sister, they need taking care of. And if we're not there, who will do that? You. You have to."
"It's not an "if he can't do it, then I have to"." You cut in to add, "It's not a toy to be passed around. It is something you should all be doing, all the time."
"Today was just an example. Tomorrow," He gestures to the side with the nod of his head, "if things do not change, worse things can happen."
"Okay." Lo'ak nods. Though the solemn look on his face is new and different, it meant he was taking it seriously.
Jake nods too, "Good. Neteyam," Knowing that the boy will be much more affected by his words, Jake keeps it simple. "that means it's not all up to you. Don't take the fall for things you didn't cause."
"Okay." Neteyam agrees too.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Auntie Tiri loved to visit the kids. Though she knew she wasn't their mother in the family sense, she still thought of them as her own children. You weren't one to complain, much as you teased her, because it meant you and Jake could have some time of your own.
"Second time this week?" You laugh, greeting Neytiri at the entrance. "It's only just beginning, too."
"If I birthed them, I at least get to raise them." Neytiri argues. The words don't make much sense to the children, thankfully, or else you would have a lot of explaining you weren't quite ready for.
You roll your eyes and let her in. As she passes you, you walk outside. Behind you, you hear screams of delight as the children see Neytiri.
After Jake says his temporary goodbye's, he follows you outside.
He lets out a sigh of relief as the even fresher air of the outside washes over his face. "It's been a while since we got to be alone, right?"
"Just two days, my love." You remind him. "Neytiri visited two days ago."
"Hmm," He snickers, "right."
He lets out a yawn, stretches his limbs far up into the sky. As he brings them down, though, one arm not so subtly wraps around your waist. Even less subtly, it pulls you close to his side. "Wanna go for a walk?" He offers nonchalantly.
You chuckle, placing a hand a on the one he's got around you. "Sure."
The benefit of being alone with each other often was that your children were not responsibility for the tiniest of moments. It also meant you didn't have to speak of them.
But usually, as your children are the light of your life, most things end up being about them.
"Your hair's starting to dread up, love." You remark, wrapping the end of one of his locks around your finger. It was just a little strand, but the hair above clumps together.
"Ah, well, I don't have the time." He sighs, "Between Olo'eyktan duties, giving advice to folk, taking care of the kids..."
"I could braid it for you." You offer.
"I heard that takes a long time." He says, but he's done more than hear it. He's witnessed it, seen your children slouched over themselves, falling asleep whilst your fingers still nimbly worked on their braids. "Don't know if I've got enough."
"Well, we can keep it dreaded." You shrug, "Whatever you like."
"What do you like?" He retorts.
You roll your eyes. "Whatever you like to wear will be what I love, Jake."
"That's an awfully sweet," He begins slowly, coaxing a soft smile out of your lips. "lie. Too uncharacteristic of you, my darling."
You laugh. The sound is... young. It sounds young. You've known each other for seven years now, been parents for most of that time, and you've matured so much since the first time he laid eyes on you. Those laughs, ones without the worry of your children or responsibilities, had seemed forgotten. He's glad it's still there.
The conversation falters and you fall to comfortable silence; but something picks at Jake, at the back of his mind.
"Is there..." He pauses, not too sure if he really wants to mention it. He's already started, though, and he does feel as though it is something that should be talked about. "anyone Lo'ak reminds you of?"
"Lo'ak..." You hum as you think, "well, Lo'ak is his own person. He's a special kid. There's no one quite similar to him. Why do you ask?"
"He reminds me of myself. My younger self." Jake says. It was the original thing he wanted to say.
"Oh."
"Reckless, quick to jump into a fight, defensive, couldn't take the blame... I couldn't take anything seriously." He lists off things, each one putting a dampener on his mood. "A child in a man's body."
His lowering spirits were affecting yours, so you stop your walk to make sure your next words are registered fully. You take his hands in yours and begin, "Some of those things aren't always bad. Defensiveness means, well, you're protective of your loved ones. And not taking things so seriously... you can always make me happy. You can lighten any situation. As for the recklessness, well, it was always funny when you failed at some Na'vi things."
"Hey!"
"What I'm trying to say is, you're still defensive, you're still humorous in harsh situations. These are both things of your younger self and the self that stands before me." You bring a hand to his cheek and he nuzzles against it. "They are part of who you are; and those same things, they're part of who Lo'ak is. If we tried to change them, Lo'ak wouldn't be himself. All of those traits are bad at varying degrees. If we teach him correctly, he can still be himself. Less reckless, more serious, but still himself."
Much as an annoying rascal he was now, it was the Lo'ak Jake still loved, has loved for seven years. He couldn't imagine his son any other way.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Everyone loved Neteyam. It was hard not to.
Lo'ak and Kiri, on the other hand, often received many stares. It was harder for them to make friends outside of the family; harder to avoid the comments about their fingers and eyebrows. Though Lo'ak had a penchant for an argument (which had lessened ever since you began parenting him better) this was where he and Kiri agreed.
When Neteyam played with his friends, Lo'ak and Kiri often stuck together. Their differences and toy-sharing difficulties were pushed aside.
Neteyam often tried to coerce his friends to play with Kiri and Lo'ak, they were only a year younger after all, but it usually devolved into asking them why they had such funny fingers.
Jake and you often noticed it. You saw your children's awkward, uncomfortable faces. But you knew things would only be worse if you interfered. Children were often like that, picking at the little things. Just kissing your children would earn them the nickname of "sempuyä 'evi". Besides, they needed to be independent.
It was a matter that sparked concern between you.
"I was right about their differences." Jake grumbles. He subtly observed his children from above, at a high point in the village. Less people were going to spot his vigilant dad behavior up there.
"They'll make friends eventually, find people who don't care." You reassured him, but you spoke it into the world because you were really wishing for it to happen.
"Like you?" He muses.
"If you want a comparison point." You let out a little laugh.
Jake wraps an arm around your shoulder and pulls you close. Just then, a little someone breaks through the crowd of nosy kids and sticks their hand out.
Rather than judging your children or pointing out their differences, they exclaim "Wow that's so cool!" so loudly that you can hear it from up there. It warms your heart.
Lo'ak eventually found friends that actually deserved him. Kiri, on the other hand, well, the friends found her. Unfortunately, it was after that that she discovered she actually preferred alone time better than having so many people around her, disturbing her thoughts with constant chatter. So, she didn't often talk with her friends. The only thorn on her side, though, was the human kid, Spider. She tolerated his presence often. She actually even seemed to like his voice.
But while they had gotten over that problem, Jake was still worried.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Your children had yet again become a year older. In the past year, you'd taught them all so many things. You made sure Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Kiri were all protective over each other equally; that Lo'ak learned how to control his recklessness and maintain his humorous attitude; that Kiri felt connected to Eywa.
You knew that, when you allowed them to be on their own, they would be just fine.
After seven years of taking care of your children so actively, you no longer had to worry so much. It was sort of a relief.
Naturally, though, you sort of missed it.
"I want another kid."
"What?"
"Another girl would be nice." You hum to yourself, "She'd be the cutest little thing."
Once the initial shock wears off (because you don't just mention that out of nowhere) Jake finds himself agreeing. He, too, missed coddling his children. "Yeah, she would."
"Did you ever get a copy of the picture Norm took of you?"
"Of course not." Jake grumbles. "It's embarrassing."
"Only because you make it." You snicker, booping him on the nose. He responds by scrunching it up and flinching back. "I think it's rather cute."
"I only think Kiri was cute." He wipes his nose. "We can talk to Neytiri and–"
"I want her to be yours."
"What? But–" Jake shakes his head profusely, his eyebrows knitted together. "I can't have another kid turn out like... like me."
"Five fingers and eyebrows?" You ask.
"Yes." He replies immediately. "I can't have her be... different. Lo'ak and Kiri, they struggled to make friends because of their differences."
"You know that Lo'ak made his own friends."
"It took time." He argues, "Don't you remember his face, every time he came back home? It was horrible. In fact, he asked you to pull him onto your lap and kiss his cheeks over and over just for reassurance. Which–"
"Which he asked for because he loves me, not because it's uncharacteristic of him." You say, implying that Lo'ak loves you more.
Jake rolls his eyes. "I don't want to see another kid go through that again. I just want another normal kid that'll make friends flawlessly."
"There's nothing wrong with being special." You take his hands in yours. His hand was only bigger because of his extra finger, which wraps around your hand. You bring it up to show him, "Nothing better with being normal."
"Why... why can't you do it, then?"
"Because," You begin, smile lighting up your face. "even you still haven't gotten over your differences." Jake looks away. His silence to the accusation is as much of an answer as affirmation is. "This child will be proof that your differences don't make you any worse than a regular Na'vi. Because you are on of the people. You are the Olo'eyktan. You are one of us."
"How do you know?" He grumbles, but he was starting to believe you. "Did Eywa tell you, or something?"
☾⋆☆⋆☽
With Tuktirey, you couldn't be any happier.
And she came out, as promised, with four fingers and hairless browbones.
She was a pudgy little thing, and everyone loved her. You could see it in their eyes and their smiles that the kids loved her at first sight. Their toothy grins would grow even wider when they each got to carry her; even if Lo'ak nearly dropped her.
Though she couldn't even speak and hardly babbled, you could tell that you would come to love her.
You held Tuk in your hands, laying your head over Neteyam's legs. He made for a bony pillow, but you loved him so much you could get over it. Jake hugged Lo'ak with one arm. Kiri was sprawled horizontally over the both of you, her head laying on your stomach. Your muntxatan nuzzled his nose into your neck as he spoke, "I met your sempu while I was training."
"He fell from the tree branches onto the mud at my feet." You explain less graciously, causing an uproar of laughs from each of your children.
"Ah-ah," Jake breaks up the mocking laughter, "you say it's like Eywa sent me to you, no?"
"Okay, fine, I guess." You roll your eyes playfully.
Jake laughs. You can feel the deep rumble of vibrations going through his neck against your shoulder. "It was love at first sight."

ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ 2: it's a cute prompt, of course, could fulfill it with headcanons, however I wanted some Lo'ak and Neteyam struggle + scared father Jake - one of these scenes (if you saw it, you know the scene) was made using the dialogue of this incredibly fucking cute fanart. It's just Lo'ak instead of Neteyam here. - I made Jake a better father because his kids deserve better

If you are an Avatar fan then you’ve probably been rather bewildered by the unaccountable animosity that has developed toward Spider. What’s obvious is that the brains of some moviegoers are rather blank slates.
Here’s the thing—Spider Socorro’s arc in the film requires some reflection and analytical thinking on the part of the audience. Automatically labeling him a traitor or a Terrible Person demonstrates a lack of effort to understand this complex character.
Of course, it is natural that we may find ourselves frustrated with Spider for seemingly going along with the RDA/Recoms and for saving Quaritch’s life. After all, those are the bad guys! But if you take the time to analyze some of the plot points and Spider’s own personality and history, you can better understand his motivations.
Here are a few key takeaways to help you empathize with Spider’s choices. I think most Avatar fans will have already picked up on these.
One: Early in the film, Spider is kidnapped and interrogated by the RDA. An interrogation that borders on physical and mental torture. This is a sixteen-year-old kid who has never been in that kind of terrifying situation, so of course he’s going to take the first opportunity he has to escape, even if it’s with the Recoms on their mission to hunt down the Sullys. Anything to not be handed back to the lab coats, right? But even then he is still being held hostage by Quaritch, who places a tracker inside his Exopack to keep tabs on him. Spider is smart—he knows he has no choice but to tag along with the Recoms.
Two: It’s important to recognize that despite having spent his whole life on Pandora growing up in the forest among the Omatikaya People—befriending the Sully kids, painting blue stripes on himself, and speaking their language—Spider knows he is still just a human. And even though he has a confident personality, it is reasonable to assume that there are times when he feels different or inadequate. Sort of an “I need them, but they don’t necessarily need me” kind of situation that many of us can relate to.
But now Spider finds himself surrounded by a group of foreigners from Earth, who it turns out appreciates that he is Pandoran. Appreciates that he operates with the knowledge and physical capability of the Na’vi. Here he can prove his worth and skill, and it’s obvious that Spider gets caught up in the feeling of being useful (and of being smarter than the Recoms, because let’s admit it, Spider can be a bit cocky 😆).
However, this is only the case until he witnesses the violent potential of Quaritch and the Recoms in those heartbreaking scenes where they destroy Metkayina villages and murder Ilus. Spider has a wake-up call at this point in the film, and it’s here that he actually stops “helping” the RDA.
Three: Saving Quaritch from drowning. Spider’s decision to rescue Quaritch at the end of the film boils down to two inconvenient but very realistic and credible reasons.
A – Quaritch is his father. We cannot try to claim that a son choosing to save his father from death is an evil or traitorous act, even if the father himself is evil. Especially a father who potentially just saved his son’s own life, because I don’t think Neytiri was bluffing during that standoff. So yes, he’s clearly not happy about it, but at that moment Spider accepts that Quaritch may have saved his life, so in return he saves him from drowning.
And B – the simple fact that Spider is a good person.
In addition, I think some people have overlooked that at the end of the film, Spider ditches Quaritch and returns to the Sullys without hesitation. That speaks for itself to the resolution of his arc in this film.
So there you have it. I wanted to contribute this to the discourse in the hope that it might sway a few minds. Spider is a fascinating character, particularly because of his intrinsic relationships with both the heroes and villains of this story. Saving Quaritch’s life has put him in a really tough spot, and I don’t think this character is finished being caught in the middle. I’m very excited to see where Spider’s story goes.
Amazing writing James Cameron and amazing acting Jack Champion!

The Lost Clan - Chapter 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Series Masterlist || Main Masterlist || Navigation
Warnings: none
Pairings: neteyam x fem!sarentu reader
Notes: so no one is confused the war was short but the sarentu stayed "hidden" they just kept wandering for years, until the reader is about 18years old and they come out of hiding by going to the zeswa first.
Tumblr media
all the navi clans had come to the conclusion that the rda desecrated the whole sarentu clan no one knew were they went they just disappeared off the maps. they search for their sister clan after the war only finding their camp destroyed, still having hope they continued their search but to no avail no one could find a trace.
a few years later...
your clan flew upon the backs of ikrans towards the upper plains as you got to the outskirts of their camp a warrior sounded the horn and the zeswa stopped what they were doing and walked towards the front of the camp. you watched with a smile on your face seeing the plains again, the direhorses, the sounds it was different you had temek land next to your fathers ikran before dismounting her.
the cheif of the zeswa stepped forward "brother, the sarentu have returned to share our stories" you father said with a large smile plastered on his face the zeswa made sounds of cheer "welcome home brother."
that night we sat near the fire having a feast because of your peoples return, you shared stories, memories with all these people that night was filled with many happy memories and even a bead was added to everyone's songcord a bead for the return of the sarentu.
--
you sat by the river watching as it moved never stopping even if it was only for a moment. the celebration being heard within limits behind you before you heard footsteps approaching you "what is bothering you, my dewdrop?" the sound of that nickname made you smile your father has always called you that "just thinking," he sat down next to you waiting for you to continue "about how much we've missed these pasted years, and how much pandora has changed."
your father smiled gently at you before giving you a hug "we sarentu are connected to the people, and to eywa, although it may seem like we've missed a lot we truly haven't, we are just like a river constantly in motion no matter. what lands in our path"
--
a week later your clan was on the move again and word travels fast but as do rumors, and these soon reached the ears of the omatikaya people.
it was dusk and neteyam was doing his best to help out around the new home tree with chores and traing to become the new clan leader and overheard two girls talking about these rumors "excuse me what did you say?" he asked the two girls "people are saying the sarentu have returned and are sharing their stories and songs once again, can you believe that is sounds almost to good to be true, the rda eliminated all of them didn't they?"
neteyam had already tuned the girls out his mind already clouded with memories of you both together how you to had become close in such short time, would he remember what you looked like, would you remember him, his mind was racing he was excited and scared. after he saw you and your sister in your father's arms and the rda soldier right behind he thought the worst, his assumptions were deemed correct when the hunting party came back saying the sarentu came was destroyed along with no sign of you and your people.
as he walked into his family's shared hut he heard his mother's gasp as jake told her the news that the sarentu had indeed returned "ma jake do you think this could be true?" he stood there for a minute thinking "possibly they could have ran off and hid from the rda and kept moving, but that'd be hard to do considering its the rda." jake said to neytiri.
neytiri went back to making her paste for the hunters wounds, jake went back to cleaning his gun, for a mission they had soon. neteyam stood there messing with his fruit as loak and spider we're doing dumb stuff.
after the conversation jake had with neytiri they stopped speaking both wondering if it was true or just a rumor, it seemed more likely the rda killed the whole clan that would make the most sense "jake-" neytiri was cut off at the sound of the horn being sounded by the warrior who was keeping watch.

‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵︵‿︵‿︵
science was never really your thing. sure, your parents were some of the greatest scientists on pandora - helping the na’vi during the first war, studying the botany and the culture to preserve grace’s legacy, researching the anatomy and tradition medicine of the na’vi and pandora. you did think it was cool, but you just preferred more domesticated things. for example, you love reading old human books like pride and prejudice, frankenstein or the island of dr. moreau. baking, doing puzzles, arts & crafts - more specifically, crocheting.
jake and neytiri were like your godparents, and you were very close to them. neytiri may have been a little cautious of you because you were human, alien - you always tried your best to be warm and loving to her. you loved their children - neteyam, kiri, tuk and even spider were like your brothers and sisters. lo’ak you loved more than a brother. although you had never outright told him that. little did you know, he felt the exact same way about you.
you had always heard of christmas, but had never experienced it. pandora’s calender was very different compared to earths, but you still wanted to have a christmas with your family despite it being in the middle of rainy season in july according to the earth’s calendar. every one had agreed to participate - even neytiri, who was secretly curious about this adored earth tradition. unsure of what to find for every member of the family, you figured you could put your creative skills to good use. the forest’s trees carried this multicoloured fibre, complete with different shades of red, orange and yellow. it was soft, almost like a blanket. it was the perfect yarn.
you crocheted until it felt like your hands were on fire. in the end, you had 6 matching scarves adorned with beads, warm glowing acorns and tassels. the sully’s were thrilled, but lo’ak specifically. he had something to wear, made from the love and thoughtful consideration you carried with everything you made by hand. it would keep him warm in the bitter cold of the air when he awoke in the hallelujah mountains, when he rode his ikran in the mighty winds, or when it would pour rain in the forest. he loved it.
as the second war with the RDA progressed, it was decided that the sully’s would flee to the ocean to protect the omatikaya clan. you had begged your parents to consider going with them - it would be a new biome to study. a new culture to learn. sandy beaches and the warm sun, which wouldn’t be blocked by the tall trees. eventually they agreed, asking jake for his permission to come - which he happily agreed to. it wasn’t long before you had made it to your new home.
just like the sully’s, you were considered outcasts but more because you were human. one of the skypeople. but it was a change of scenery and your parents were having a blast with all of their newfound research. even with the heat, lo’ak never took off his scarf. it was sacred to him because it came from you. the kids of the metkayina clan - ao’nung, rotxo more specifically would always tease him about his scarf. “it’s ugly.” “did the human freak make it for you?” “oh no! you have a piece of garbage wrapped around your neck. let me help you with that.” he didn’t hesitate to defend you or what you had made for him. he had even taken and thrown a couple of hits defending you.
learning an entirely new culture wasn’t easy, but you were glad you had lo’ak and your siblings by your side. made the process more fun. they taught you the breathing exercises you would need to swim, but you stayed away from the water as much as you could. you stayed on the island, crafting baskets and nets with other members of the metkayina clan, teaching them new patterns to help fortify their hunting and fishing tools using your crocheting skills.
you had always loved sunsets. but you loved them more with lo’ak. he had always tried to convince you to come swim, but to no avail. as you walked with him on the beach during a quiet evening, he was finally able to convince you to come take a tour with him. “really?? you would do that for me?” “of course, anything for you. but only because you’re cute.” he almost kissed you right then and there.
he woke you up early the next morning to get you into the water before anyone else had the chance to join you. it was unlike anything you had ever seen before - the gigantic manta rays, the glowing coral, the fish, the plant life, the crabs, everything. but while you were fixated on the beautiful things the ocean had to offer, he was staring at you.
to him, you were the most beautiful thing in that ocean. as you held a glowing, flowy fish in your hands, you turned and gave him the brightest smile. he returned it, hand resting on his scarf as he watched you. he promised himself that he would proclaim his love to you before eywa. he just had to figure out how he was going to tell you first.

Pretty, Pretty Panties
Kinkmas Day 3: Lingerie/Stockings
Pairing: Lo’ak x Fem!Human!Reader
Warnings: AgedUp!Lo’ak, Grinding (cause I can’t think of a better word for this?), Size Difference
Word Count: 1.9K
A/N: I was trying to see if there was a specific word for this kind of sex act and Google decided to bring me hurtling back into the world of Urban Dictionary and y’all . . . Urban Dictionary is WILD
A/N 2: I have exactly zero other prompts prepped after this one so this is going to be exactly like Kinktober lmao
Summary: Lo’ak has always been intrigued by human items, but your panties may just be his favorite of them all.
Tumblr media
Translations:
Tawtute - Human
Olo’eyktan - Clan Leader
Tewng - Loincloth
Yawne - Beloved
Lo’ak’s always been intrigued by human items.
It’s only natural - his father was a human, long before Eywa granted him a new life permanently in the body of his Avatar. He, himself, is undeniably part human. The hair on his brow bones and extra finger on both of his hands are features that can only ever come from one place, telling the story of his unique family lineage and the source of his low self-esteem during his teenage years.
He’s since grown out of the self-hatred his different traits brought upon him, learning to accept who he is and be proud of his differences despite where they come from. Besides, not all humans are bad. His grandmother had told them once that the humans that stayed behind on Pandora after the first war were all part Na’vi - not in looks, of course, but in soul. They are the ones who fought for peace, who heard the call of Eywa, even with their tiny, round tawtute ears, and earned their place amongst The People despite looking like the enemy.
His father was one of them, a long time ago, and he became Toruk Makto with his hairy eyebrows and extra fingered hands. It used to be suffocating, to be drowning under the shadow of such a successful man, always feeling like a disappointment, a failure, and never knowing if he was ever going to be half the man his father is. But things are different now. Lo’ak is older and wiser, and he can proudly say he feels honored to share in those similarities with such a great man.
Human DNA is in his veins, their technology now a staple in the Omatikaya Clan, introduced at the insistence of his father. Throat comms wrap around the necks of every hunter and warrior, tablets are used to help keep track and categorize supplies of both the clan’s reserves as well as the outpost’s inventory. Every warrior must go through vigorous gun training, learning how to handle the weapon, how to shoot and reload with military precision. The bad humans are gone now, with no sight of ever looking like they’re going to return, but the Olo’eyktan does not take chances, and he will not have his family run out of their home ever again.
Lo’ak knows it all, his long blue fingers fiddling with any piece of technology confidently. But it’s not just technology he’s interested in. He’s tried clothes before, stealing the largest t-shirt he could find from one of the science guys just to try it. It fit, but just barely, the material stretching across his lean shoulders a little too tightly and feeling way too constricting for his own taste, the bottom hem stopping about halfway down his torso. You laughed when you saw it, tears filling your eyes as you pointed at his midriff just barely able to gasp out the words ‘crop top’ through your full bodied laughter.
The shirt didn’t work for him, he was okay with that. He was curious, he tried, he learned - and that was that. He never really thought he would want to go around wearing tawtute clothing even if they would have fit him right.
You, on the other hand . . .
. . . well, those panties fit you perfectly.
It’s not like humans go out in their underwear, and Spider is the only human bold enough to regularly walk around in a tewng, so Lo’ak only finds out exactly what’s underneath those annoying layers of tawtute clothing when the two of you start fucking around. The chest covering, a ‘bra’ you called it, is completely unnecessary. There’s no need to cover up as much as humans do, and to hide such perfect tits in an uncomfortable wired cradle is a torture that he will never understand why someone would put themselves through, and, frankly, it’s a slight against Eywa to cover up such gifts.
The panties though? Yeah, they can stay. They look so much like a tewng, covering your most intimate parts like a privacy cover, only missing the front flap to make them identical in look. You have different ones - different colors, different textures, and different styles that show various levels of undress for your perfect ass.
Lo’ak loves them all, but currently, the one’s he’s fucking are his favorite.
It’s a tiny thing, like you, light pink with a cute little bow in the front, and the soft material feels like heaven on his cock as he glides through your wet folds.
You look so good underneath him, hair splayed out like a halo on your pillow as you gasp and whine every time the head of his cock slides over your clit, tiny hands fisting into the sheets for support as his own hands push your knees back against your chest to keep you spread open.
You’re still wearing your panties, and a part of him wants to growl in frustration and rip the delicate material from your body for not being able to have an unobscured visual of your puffy pussy. But you’re so wet, so so wet that the panties have all but become transparent with your slick, making them sticky and see through enough that he can see both the outline of your labia and his length as he rubs against you underneath it.
He shivers as he thrusts faster, the wetness of your arousal making the slip across your swollen clit all the more easy, and a growled moan escapes him as the wet sounds your pussy makes at the increased pace invade his ears. The tip of his cock is nudging against the wet fabric with each pass, the large bulge pushing the material away from your body with each thrust just from the sheer size of him. The underside of your panties is dragging against the length of his cock, working in unison with your silky pussy against the underside to tease him into insanity.
Your whines get louder, hips twisting in response to the never ending stimulation on the sensitive bundle of nerves, dripping hole clenching around nothing, begging to be filled. “Lo’ak, please,”
He hums at the sound of his name, his name, moaned in that beautiful voice of yours, eyes flicking up from the obscene view of where your bodies are meeting to your face. “Yes, yawne? What can I do for you?”
“P-please, fuck me,” You beg. Your legs are trembling in his hold, desperate to kick out and wrap around his hips to try and pull him in. “Please,”
“Hm,” He grins, sharp canines on display, glittering in the fluorescent lighting of your bedroom. “Does my pretty girl feel empty? Need some big Na’vi cock to fill you up?”
You nod, frantically, heat pooling in your cheeks as the coil in your belly tightens at the thought of his cock splitting you open. You want it so badly, want to feel his length push into you, want to experience it as it keeps pushing, filling you up more and more and feeling like it might never stop. You want to see that bulge currently working underneath the cover of your sticky panties in your stomach instead - want to watch it disappear as he pulls out only to reappear again when he thrusts back in, deeper and deeper as he fucks your cunt so good in a way you know only he ever could.
He wants that too, wants to feel what your gummy walls feel like wrapped around his cock. He knows the sight would just about kill him, to see your soaking hole stretch to its limits trying to take a cock that’s way too big for you. How suffocatingly tight you would feel, to finally be inside you (or at least as much inside as he can fit).
He can’t help it, he just wants to see what it looks like, and he stops the tortuous drag of his cock along your clit to slide down the length of your pussy. One of his hands let go of your thigh to pull your panties to the side, mouth watering at the sight of your soaked core and puffy clit now completely visible to his hungry gaze. His breathing is shaky when he presses the tip of his cock against your tight entrance, the head rubbing gently at the pulsing hole as you mewl underneath him.
“Lo,” You moan, back arching as you try to push your hips down further against him. “More,”
“More, huh?” Lo’ak groans, pressing just a little bit harder against you and watching as your entrance gives under the pressure, trying to stretch around him and welcome him in. “This slutty little pussy wants more? So greedy,”
Your wide eyes glisten with unshed tears, red rimmed and watery from the way he’s teasing you. He won’t push in, won’t give you anything more than the small presses of pressure against your sopping hole, just enough to get you to start to stretch around the tip only to snap back when the pressure releases. “Lo’ak, please!”
His fangs dig into his bottom lip, a soft growl echoing through the room as he steels himself to be strong. You’re not ready, he’s too big and he doesn’t want to hurt you. You gasp when he pushes against your entrance again, cock slipping against your wetness and running up your slit and across your clit roughly making you jump.
Lo’ak releases his hold on your panties, letting the soaked garment snap back in place over your cunt and his heated length.
“Can’t,” He grunts, once again beginning the agonizing stimulation of him sliding against your pussy. The soaked squelching sounds as his cock glides against your clit are obscene and wonderful, and your responding moans and whines sound even better as his ears flick to catch the sound. “Wanna fuck your pretty, pretty panties.”
Your hands latch onto Lo’ak’s wrists, nails digging into his skin as the coil in your belly tightens up more. The bite from your nails only intensifies the feeling, and Lo’ak can feel his own orgasm barreling towards him, and fuck, only you can make him feel like this without any penetration at all.
It’s all wet in your pretty panties, all wet and gooey, and your arousal soaks his cock so good as he rocks against your soft folds. The fabric of the panties are rubbing against the head of his cock with each thrust, the added sensation only adding to the intensity. And when you cum, back arched and whimpering his name as he slides against your clit over and over and over again, dripping hole clenching around nothing as your body shakes with pleasure, the sight sends him over the edge, too.
His orgasm hits him hard, ropes of pearly release painting your sensitive pussy and the inside of your pretty pink panties as he moans. Slowly, he pulls his cock out from underneath the fabric, letting the panties press back in place over your cunt with the sticky mess he left behind between you and the ruined material.
And you look so beautiful like that, so sexy as you lie there, panting and looking like you just got fucked within an inch of your life despite the fact that you didn’t even take his tip, let alone his entire cock. The pink panties are pretty, and you wear them so well.
But now he can’t help but wonder if you maybe have a pair in blue too.

“What is she doing here? Not that I don't mind” Lo’al tells spider. Lo’ak and his siblings left to look for one of the old battle grounds to find anything interesting. But spider decided to bring a plus one to the trip.
“I thought it would be good and nice if she enjoys the outdoors from time to time” Spider replies. Next to him was a girl whom the sully’s sees on a rare occasion outside of the lab. Standing next to spider, with a shy posture she gives the kids a small smile and waves at them a ‘hello’.
“Well then let's go” lo’ak shrugs as takes lead of the small group. Spider guides his friend to be in the middle of the group as he walks behind her. The sully kids failed to see what the unique communication spider and his friend were having.
Tumblr media
It was dark, wet from the rain, and being held down tightly from strangers she has never met before. The girl was having constant internal screams about how she would get out of it. Looking at the rest of the teens, she can see kiri moving her lips, by body movement, she can guess kiri was doing a prayer of some sort. Perhaps praying for someone to save them. And really, the girl does want to be saved. Go back to the lab and in her comfy bed. Pretend the capture/hostage situation was a bad dream.
Slowly and carefully she scans spider and the rest, to make sure they are calm. Especially the little one. Poor baby must be scared to death!
However, she noticed everyone turning their heads to a certain direction, she followed their eyes. But all she sat was darkness. Perhaps it is the help they all prayed for?
Tumblr media
“Here, this will help you feel better” Neteyam tells the silent human girl. Placing the bowl in front of her face, she jumped a bit startled. Looking up at him, she makes a gesture with her hand and chin and accepts the bowl. Neteyam thought it was but gave her a short smile and left her to eat in peace.
Neteyam doesn't know much about the silent girl. Seen her only a handful of times. And even then, she was mostly with spider. And speaking of spider, he felt bad for his friend being taken from the demons. Whatever or wherever he is, he can only hope spider is safe.
Tumblr media
“And why must we bring her with us!? She would stand out! Nobody from any clan will accept us with her!” Neytiri screeches to Jake as they discuss about leaving the Omatikaya clan. Jake was pacing back and forth, taking deep breaths. Being careful to say the right words.
“She knows as much as spider. The RDA knows that kid is here and will likely look for her. And if they find her, they find everyone. Spider may not say a word to the RDA but they know there is another. It leaves us no choice. We have to take her with us”.
Outside from the tent, their children were listening really closely. The four siblings all looked at each other and then silently to the girl who was staring at the bonfire. To leave their home, everything they ever knew was devastating. And to take a human who so far hasn't spoken a word would make things difficult to coming to terms with.
“If she comes with us, how will that work?” Tuk asks silently. Neteyam gives it a moment of thought before walking over to the girl.
Tumblr media
The girl stared at the fire, feeling the bright warmth. Would follow the little burning sparks as it fades away. How it dances and sways, never still always moving. Even if the fire stays in one spot, its movements never conform. So hypnotic and soothing.
At least it was that until a large hand touched her shoulder.
She quickly turns her head to see who it was. The boy who gave her some food. His mouth was moving, but all she could do was look at him. Perhaps he doesn't know? Turning her body towards him, she points to herself with her finger, and then moves her finger from the chin up to her ear.
She observed the boy in front of her, his lips moving downwards and eyes moving slightly. Confused is most likely what he is feeling. And again he moves his mouth, with his hands moving as well but none of the hand moves he makes forms any words.
This will be tricky to communicate.
Tumblr media
“I'm sorry, I don't know what this hand thing you do” Neteyam says. He huffs out a bit frustrated. Looking down at the girl, and the girl seems to understand. He looks over to his fathers table of computers and tablets. There was a small tablet at the end of the table. Grabbing it he hands it to the girl.
And it made the girl smile, her shoulders relaxing. Quickly she types in some words and flips it for him to read.
“I am deaf. I cannot hear you. I cannot speak, for I am mute”
Neteyam read the sentence over and over. Letting this new found information settle in. He looked at her, who was smiling.
“You mean, you can't hear me? Can't hear anything?” he asks. The girl turns the tablet to type something else. And again, she flips it over.
“I can not hear anything. Your sound, the sound of others. From the roars of the ikrans, to things being moved. I can't hear. That is how I am.”
This opened a new window of perception to neteyam. A human who cant hear? How did that work? Or, not work in this case. To hear nothing but silence? It boggled his mind. Is this why he never heard her voice?
Taking the tablet he does his best to type out some words.
“If you can't hear, then how do you go on everyday?”
The girl reads it and takes it back to reply.
“I heighten my other senses. More specifically, sense of touch and feel. I do my best to feel the vibrations of everything. My eyes are also sharp. No means am I perfect on it. I get distracted sometimes”.
And that is how they communicated for the few hours they had together. Neteyam couldn't help but take interest in the girl. Yet somehow despite the long time of “chatting”, not once did neteyam ask for her name.
Tumblr media
After so many long talks and arguments. It was settled. The sully family and the young girl all left to seek a new home for the better safety of the children. For the entire travel, the girl was with neteyam. He did his best to bring her comfort.
Everything was happening so fast, new regions the girl has never seen before. And before she had the chance to admire the environment, they had to move forward. Between sunny days and dark thunderous nights,
The other siblings did their best to make the trip as comfortable for her as possible, but there was so much they could do. Of course she took the tablet to type out her words but the battery can last only for so long. So the tablet is used only for emergencies.
But alas, they reached the final destination. In view, was the clear blue waters of a beautiful island. White earth covering connecting the blue ocean. The girl was in awe, the na’vi also looked different yet similar at the same time. Many with interesting tattoos!
Climbing down from the ikran, the girl was able to feel the warm yet wet sand. Felt funny but it was soft, seeing ahead, tuk was looking at the gathering crowd. Neteyam guides the girl to look up at him. He gestures to stand close behind him. Complying she does so.
As they all walk up to the crowd, two na’vi walked up to jake and the others. Conversation was happening as she sees their mouths moving.
She tries her best to understand but all her thoughts were stopped as the female na’vi walked up to her. Glaring down with her clear eyes.
Tumblr media
“And what of her?” Ronal asks as she inspects the quiet sky demon in front of her. Jake walked to them, keeping his hands out for ronal to see.
“She cant speak, not even hear. We will watch over her. I promise, if she must, she will also learn your ways” Jake pleaded. Ronal glaces at him and then back at the girl. Small in height, not very threat looking.
So she turns and has a silent conversation with Tonowari.
Tumblr media
“They accept” The girl thought. A small smile broke out from her face, feeling relieved. By observing the two leaders, simply watching their eyes was enough to tell her many things. They did always say, the silence can speak a thousand words.
Tumblr media
“Can you do that again? “ Neteyam asks tsireya. She happily does so. She, ao’nung and rotxo were teaching the sully children how to speak in sign language. This is one lesson neteyam payed attention to in great detail. Tried to mesmerize what each movement is for.
“You seem more eager with our finger talk than actually swimming” Ao’nung comments. “He wants to talk to our friend. '' Tuk applies the small information ith a happy, shameless smile. Her siblings were quick to scold her.
“Why doesn't your friend join us? It would be interesting to get to know her” Rotxo says. Lo’ak shakes his head, “well good luck with that. She is deaf”.
“Lo’ak!” Neteyam shouts.
This raised some curiosity with the metkayina children.
“You mean, she can't hear anything? At all?” Tsireya asks, all the sully kids nodded. While loss of hearing wasn't entirely impossible, such a rarity in fact, it doesn't stop one from searching for methods to communicate.
“Well, all the more reasons to bring her with you! I would like to meet her and chat” Tsireya says with a happy smile. Now feeling more eager, tsireya and the others do their best for the sully kids to hone the new skill and perhaps have better communication with the girl.
Tumblr media
The girl in question felt the familiar footsteps of neteyam. Turning to see him enter, he had a bright smile on his face. Curious, she had her full attention on him. Neteyam moved his hands, making unfamiliar signs. It looked like sign language but all the movements were wrong and couldn't make out anything.
Tilting her head, he gives him a confused expression.
Neteyam sees this and tries again, making sure he made all the right signs like how tsireya taught him.
“You do not understand?”  He signs to her. And again, the girl shrugs and looks to be a bit lost by his communication. Sighing, he grabs the emergency tablet to type.
“I was learning sign language today. That was what I was trying to do with you. I thought I learned it correctly, was there no sign readable?”
The girl reads his message and forms her mouth to the shape of an “oh”. Finally understanding, she replies to him.
“I understand now. The sign language you were learning is na’vi language. The language I sign is english. So there is still a barrier”
Her shoulders shake, as if she was laughing silently. Poor boy went through hours of learning how to sign only to be fruitless in the end. Neteyam  hangs his head low. Feeling slightly embarrassed. Of course it would be english. Nobody, not even from his clan, new of the sign language of their people.
Grabbing the tablet, he says “well it seems we both have learning to do”
Tumblr media
The next day, neteyam brought the silent girl to meet the metkayina children. She felt slightly overwhelmed but felt happy to be included. Tisreya was more than eager to talk to the gently sky demon, but neteyam informed her the sign language she spoke was still of sky demon language.
So to combat it, Tsireya took  it upon herself to personally teach both neteyam and the girl how to speak with their hands.
And to say, it was no easy feat.
Having an extra finger, there were things that needed to be adjusted. But not impossible oh no. If anything, the girl was just as eager to learn a new language. And with steady ease did she manage to have conversations with neteyam and the other kids!
Things were not as awkward as before. Needing the tablet less and less. Almost forgotten. The girl smiled more, and became very active. From swimming to doing her part in the clan. She felt like it was a second chance. No more white cold metal walls but see the beautiful ocean every day. To be as free and easily speak with others better than she ever did back at the forest.
As she sees it, it was a rebirth, and a rebirth requires a new name.
Tumblr media
“Good morning Palang” Tuk signs to palang. Stretching out her limbs, letting the morning sunlight rays hit her skin, palang signs back, “Good morning tuktuk”.
Another glorious day. Getting up, palang gets ready for the day. Communicating with sending specific vibrations or hand signs, everyone in the pod does their morning routine. Today, palang and neteyam have hunting and gathering duties. Something both have come to love.
“Palang don't forget, you have to assist tuk with her lessons” Neytiri signs to palang. She nods to confirm, “Yes netyiri, I will make sure she doesn't skip this time”. She goes to the edge, ready to dive as neteyam walks up beside her.
“Are you ready palang?” Neteyam signs to her. Palang smiles, the shine of the sun competing with the shine of her eyes. “Yes, lets do this!” she signs back. Both jump into the water and dive deep. The oceanic colors and life never cease to amaze them. Truly, Palang feels completed and hopes to grow further alongside her greatest friend, neteyam.
Tumblr media
Aaaaaaand that is all everyone! Anon, I hope you liked this fic and all of you liking it as well~!
I typed this with sleepy eyes and brain, If i made mistakes please tell me!

The reef kids brawl scene in ATWOW if Spider was there
.
“Are you sure?” Aonung smirked, walking around Kiri and going for her hand. “Look at these hands!” He lunged for it again and she wasn’t fast enough to pull away. “I mean, look at them!”
The younger Sully was surrounded, and although she did a good job at hiding how intimidated she felt behind annoyance, the boys circled her and she didn’t see a plausible opening to get out of this situation.
A second later though, she didn’t have to. A tan human fist smashing into ‘Nung’s face gave her enough room.
“I told you to stay the fuck away from her, asshole!” Spider growled, moving between his sister and her bully.
Momentarily, everyone stood stunned, before the reef kids circled the pair once more.
Aonung spat blood, sneering. “Oh look who it is! The house pet.”
Kiri gasped at it, putting a hand on Spider’s bicep protectively, covering his back. “He’s not a pet!”
“Really? He’s sixteen and barely up to your shoulder!”
They snickered akin to viper-wolfs, but Socorro didn’t respond to insults directed at him, instead keeping a close eye on the boys surrounding them, making sure no one grabs Kiri again.
Sighing, Aonung lost some of the cheer, instead appraising the older teen. “You’re lucky you got that pathetic mask and fragile bones. And you’re damn blessed for your master vouching on your name. Otherwise I’d done Eywa a service by putting you down.”
Now it was Spider’s turn to smirk. “You think Eywa needs YOUR help to take out the trash? If she wanted to kill me, I would’ve been nantang food ten times by now.”
Kiri tugged him away from the crowd. “C’mon Spider, let’s get out of here.”
The blonde and the raven head refused to break eye contact as the girl dragged him off the beach, where it turned out Neteyam and Lo’ak stood as well. They waited for the situation to escalate, but it seems Spider had been blessed indeed since it didn’t.
“That was very stupid.” Neteyam chastised under his breath.
Socorro’s brows furrowed. “Oh shut up. He had that coming and more. No one’s forcing him to be an ass to you whenever you’re alone.”
Behind them, they heard Aonung complaining to his pals. “Have you seen that? They can’t even keep their animal in check. Pounced on me like he was rabid.”
Lo’ak whipped his head around, offended on behalf of his brother and ready to march right back to them, but ‘Teyam ushered him forwards with a hand on his back. Spider offered no reaction to their low voices as Kiri squeezed his shoulder in reassurance.
“They’re such freaks. The whole family.”
That however, quickly made the oldest stop in his tracks.
“Imagine having to house them in your clan for fifteen seasons. Poor Omatikaya~” Chief’s son teased, and Socorro felt his breath hitch.
Neteyam looked back at him with a warning expression, almost screaming "don’t you dare", but Spider didn’t notice. He kept listening as Kiri tugged at his arm.
“Hope they get out of here soon. Their presence may send a curse on us. They’re monsters.”
How fucking dare you, Spider thought, balling his fists again. It’s just a fifth finger, what the fuck is your problem with them!?
“Spider.” Neteyam hissed.
“You seen their arms? They’re like newborn ilu! But more useless.”
“Damn it Spider!” ‘Teyam hissed louder, reaching for his wrist but Socorro slapped him away, before taking a deep breath…
And flinging his mask clean off.
“Bro!” Lo’ak’s eyes widened as Spider charged at the gang, shoving Aonung into the sand and sinking his strangely sharp fangs into his shoulder.
“Shit!” Wasting no time, Lo’ak took a boy that was about to fling the blonde off by his tail and proceeded to drag him through the beach, until another one kicked him into the stomach.
Kiri looked to Neteyam, terrified, knowing that her sibling was just one gut punch away from choking to death and growling in frustration, Neteyam hurried to join the brawl.
“AAAAGRH!! GET OFF!!” Aonung screamed, trying to shove the opponent away but Spider held onto his flesh like a predator to his prey, growling. For a moment, ‘Nung actually felt terrified of him.
‘Tey had knocked another guy away and reached Spider. “Bro you’re gonna choke! Put the mask o—“ Before getting roughly pushed into the water.
Spider had at once let go of his enemy and instead pounced on the Na’vi that attempted to uppercut Neteyam while he coughed out sand.
And among all that chaos Kiri stood wide-eyed, not knowing how to help her stupid big brother, so cursing the circumstances, she hurried back to the village.
.
“What the hell were you thinking, boy!?” Jake roared, shoving bruised Spider into the marui, his siblings at his heels.
Spider barely held back from rolling his eyes. “Dunno, propably how good Aonung’s blood tasted.” Before getting slapped on the back of his head.
“You better loose that damn attitude before I throw you into the sea!” Sully kept going. “We’re working day and night, trying to earn our keep and this is what you do!?”
“Dad!” Lo’ak stood between him and Spider. “Aonung was bothering Kiri, called her a freak.”
“Called the rest of the family freaks as well!” Spider added, side-stepping him. “Pitied the Omatikaya for "housing you".”
“And they called Spider a pet too.” Kiri appeared behind her father’s back, always ready to defend her brother.
Jake sighed, looking at the blonde. “Spider—“
“It wasn’t about that.” The kid cut him off. “I don’t care what they say about me! I get it, I’m ugly and different and I’m fine with it, but I won’t let a bunch of morons talk shit about my siblings for no reason. Who gave them the right?!”
“He’s the chief’s son, Spider!” Jacob hissed. “Do you know what kind of trouble we could be in!?”
Spider huffed. “If the leader has a problem with me, he can cast me out. I’m not part of the family anyway, so what do you have to loose?”
Sully didn’t miss the barely-there tinge of resentment in his words, but opted for ignoring it. “Family or not, you’re here with us, and that means we all bear responsibility for each other, and that means you have to go and apologise to Aonung this instant.”
Socorro’s jaw hit the floor. “WHAT!?”
“Father—“ Neteyam spoke.
“You heard me.” Jake stared down the blonde. “If it’s really not about you then swallow that pride and make up with him.
“Wh-how!?”
“I don’t know how but do it, for the family!”
“Argh!!” Socorro stomped out of the hut, but not before Sully grabbed his arm on the way out. “And you’re grounded. No late-night walks and exploring. You’ll be working your ass off to make up for what you did, got it!?”
“Yes sir.” The boy spoke, dreads concealing his face, before finally walking away after being let free.

Chapter 1 - One life ends
ma'itan = my son
tsakarem = tsahìk-in-training
Pa’li - direhorse
Banshee- ikran
“Ma’itan, we must go.” Neytri urged her son to hurry up, already on her banshee. Just like seven years ago, Tuk sat in front of their mother with a bored expression. She had changed over the years.
She was not the same little girl anymore who used to be so eager and excited about everything.
No, she was 14 years old now. A teenager. A real bratty one at that. Some even dared to say she was worse than Lo'ak.
He had been reckless, troublesome, and adventurous (he still is), but at least he had Neteyam. Neteyam would always act as his shadow, more of a father figure rather than his older brother. At least, he used to be.
No one had been the same after his death. Without their big brother, the Sully family took a big hit. The dynamic changed rapidly, and all five struggled to adjust to this new situation.
It was not five people.
Through the eyes of Neytiri, it was. She had struggled the most adapting to the ways of water, never fully getting it. Not when she had built her whole identity in the forest. Keeping her family safe was the only way she managed to stay sane. Losing her firstborn child was a pain, indescribable for words. They say there is no love stronger than the love of a mother for her child.
But to be fair, they were with six people now.
One life ends, another begins.
With the death of Neteyam, the rebirth of Spider began. The human boy who never had a family before, always straying around the Sully's, now had a family to call his own.
A son for a son.
A brother for a brother.
The Great Mother always had a plan. Kiri was sure of it. To others, it may seem like she did not care as much. The truth was that she knew it was meant to happen. She mourned her big brother's death and missed him dearly but he is with Eywa. Besides, she was the big sister now.
During the first few months, it was she, who kept the family together. Neteyam would have been proud.
Kiri let Tsireya hug her one last time but grimaced when Aonung tried to reach for her. Some things will never change.
She too hopped onto her banshee. Jake walked past her, patting her back gently. He made sure everyone was secure and ready to go for the long trip to the forest, home.
A father protects and keeps his family safe. Jake failed. At least, that is what he kept telling himself. The death of his oldest son affected him more than he would show. He had to keep himself together, for the sake of his family, the one he still had.
“Son, we do not have time to play around. Get on your banshee, boy." Jake spoke in a firm tone, giving his youngest son a firm glare. He gave his banshee, Bob, a quick pat before hopping onto him.
"I'm coming, dad,"  Lo'ak replied, giving Aonung a playful punch and Tsireya a quick hug.
What once started as rivalry turned out into a strong brotherly bond. It goes without saying that Lo'ak and Aonung were no longer enemies.
Tsireya, she was a different story. Seven years ago, Lo'ak had been crushing on the beautiful tsakarem. They did end up together, but nothing lasts forever. Their teenage love came to an end, but they stayed friends regardless.
Lo'ak made his way to his banshee, Spider already waiting beside her from a safe distance.
Despite Lo'ak having taken Spider on multiple banshee rides certainly didn't take away the fact that his banshee would not hesitate to try anything with Spider. She wasn't fond of humans after all.
"Bro, come on." Spider grinned at Lo'ak. He tugged at his tail just for the sake of annoying him. Lo'ak let out a hiss before pulling at Spider's poncho instead. The flight home would be long and rough, not fit for most humans. Yet Spider wasn't a normal human. He was tough and strong. He would survive.
Lo'ak calmed his banshee, urging Spider to climb on before hopping on himself.
Lo'ak looked back one more time, taking in the place that had been his home for all those years. The first time he arrived a young teenage boy. He'd leave a fully grown Metkayina warrior.
Tumblr media
“One, two, three, four.”
“Eylan, keep your head up and straighten your shoulders.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Again, one, two, three and four.”
You strutted past the young warriors, back straight, chin high. Taking in their forms, adjusting them when needed, wearing the same expression you’d always show everybody. A strict and unreadable one.
You've been at it for the entire morning. Lessons started early and would last just before eclipse, in time for dinner. You were hard on them. You knew that. But it was necessary. Becoming a warrior required a strong mentality and a strong heart.
You were an odd one. Admired by many for your strength, discipline, and courage. Traits of a real warrior, a mighty one at that.
Your parents never stopped bragging about you. You were their successor, their golden child. It drove your siblings crazy.
Your older sister, Ley'ira, made a fine weaver. Growing up your parents put a lot of pressure on her, urging her to find her position in the clan, watching her younger siblings and pressuring her into finding a mate even though she was only one year older than you.
She adored you, she really did. But she could not stand the way your parents spoke of you with so much pride like you were above everyone else.
Then there was your younger brother Ikalu. He was 15 years old, a young warrior in training. He refused to be taught by you, not wanting to be looked down upon by his own sister.
Everyone respected your position within the clan. You were the golden girl after all. Soft-spoken, always obeyed the rules and never talked back to your elders.
People either hated you or loved you.
It's not like you paid much attention to them anyway. You were quite shy by nature and preferred to spend time by yourself rather than hanging amongst a crowd.
As a grown woman, you had many suitors. You were strong, beautiful and knew how to carry yourself. The perfect package.
If you ever had a bad day and were in any pain there was a simple solution. Walk it off.
Just as you were about to go on with the next command, a group of other warriors your age came riding on their pa'li’s
You immediately recognized the one in front, Ke'nu. He was a fine warrior and knew how to lead a group. He was one of the men who had shown interest in courting you. Yet, you never showed much interest.
"What is the meaning of this, Ke'nu? I'm in the middle of a lesson." You spoke firmly when he stopped in front of me.
The young warriors just stood there, confused by the sudden interruption.
"They're coming back. We must head back to Hometree, immediately. Tarsem's orders."
Your hairless eyebrows raised up, lips parting slightly. You gave a quick nod to ke'nu before turning back towards the group of young students.
"That was enough for today. Pack your stuff and follow me back to Hometree. Toruk Makto and his family return today."

My Opinion on Spider
Tumblr media
@peachycrime asked for this, so....
Anyways, buckle up because I ain't gonna hold back, and I'm going to be as brutal as winter in Nunavut.
Let's start off with the obvious;
Spider is sixteen years old.
He is a child, and as such, should not be expected to be held to the same standards as an adult.
But more over - and I know some might disagree with me on this - Spider is a child that was neglected and thus abused because neglect is abuse, and I'm not touching on the shit with Neytiri just yet.
The clearest example of Spider's neglect is the scene where Spider is running from Hell's Gate, the first one we see him as a kid rather than a toddler or teenager. Spider is at best seven in this scene, and yet he is allowed to run into the Pandoran jungle (because from the comics and other sources, we know that while the Omatikaya is close to Hell's Gate, it isn't beside it) unattended despite the fact that the jungle is dangerous even to an adult na'vi, let alone a human child who could feasibly die just by tripping over a rock and falling in a way that could damage or dislodge his mask, which he relies on to breathe.
If Spider had fallen, if his mask had been damaged or dislodged, there was no one there to help him.
There is a wooded area near my house that is filled with trails and is generally considered pretty safe, but I still wouldn't let my seven-year cousins (who don't rely on a mask to breathe) run around in there unattended.
Already Spider's hair is beginning to mat (they are mats, not dreads) and there is no way that the adults weren't aware of it, which means they allowed it.
Now let's get onto some other things I've noticed throughout the movie (and the comics, though I'm mostly focusing on the movie.)
"Stray Cat" is what Jake refers to Spider as, and I don't know if this may just be me, and my ASD, but I find calling/comparing a child to a stray cat to be dehumanizing, and maybe it's purposeful because it's a lot easier to ignore the neglect of a "stray cat" then a child.
Spider from the moment he is captured is very aware of the fact that there will be no attempt to save him which is devastating because even with the knowledge that a rescue from Bridgehead is improbable, the clear lack of hope in Spider is very telling in how he views his worth and value.
Jake, someone who was in the military and worked for the RDA, however briefly, would be aware, at least to some degree, of what would be done to Spider in order to get information, and he does not actually express any concern for Spider's wellbeing or safety, only thinking about what Spider could possibly tell the RDA.
Despite how close the younger three Sully kids are to Spider, they never express any worry or concern for Spider openly in front of their parents. Do I think that they were worried about Spider? Yes, but I do also think they knew they couldn't express this concern in front of their parents, specifically Neytiri.
The only adult who shows any real concern for Spider during the vast majority of the movie is Quaritch despite him technically having the least reason for why he should be concerned for Spider. As Quaritch states, he isn't the same Miles Quaritch that was Spider's father, and unlike Jake, Norm, Neytiri, or Max, he didn't watch Spider grow up. His connection to Spider is minimal in comparison to other adults in Spider's life, and yet he is the one who shows Spider the most care.
Now onto the matter of Neytiri, I can understand her reasons and I can empathize with her trauma, but she is an adult who is punishing a child who has not done anything to her besides exist. We wouldn't condone this in real life and to me, trying to excuse her actions is troubling to me because of the message it sends to people that have gone through something similar. You can still empathize with Neytiri and the trauma she suffered while acknowledging that her actions towards Spider are wrong. Trauma is a reason, but it isn't an excuse and as an adult, it is on Neytiri, not Spider, to manage her trauma.
We also have to consider how her actions affect her relationships with her children, specifically Kiri and Lo'ak.
Kiri is the most obvious, she and Spider share a very close bond that is displayed both in the comics and in the movies, and Kiri has argued with Neytiri over her treatment of Spider. This obviously would put a level of strain on their mother-daughter relationship, especially when you take into account that Kiri often feels 'othered' and considers Spider to be one of the few people who not only understands her but also does not judge or think differently of her.
With Lo'ak it's more nuanced but Neytiri's constant hatred towards Spider due to him being a 'demon' very likely has an effect on Lo'ak who already clearly has issues with his 'demon' blood that sets him apart from other na'vi.
In the end (because I need to end this somewhere before it just becomes a never ending rant) Spider is a child who was neglected and abused for who his father is, and his action of saving Quaritch is completely understandable in light of the fact that Quaritch is the first adult who took care of Spider and had - in Spider's eyes - saved him from death twice now.
One last time I want to make one thing clear;
Spider said "don't hurt her."
Kiri said "don't kill him."
And I cannot shake the fact that at that moment Kiri genuinely believed that her mother was capable of killing her best friend and was pleading for Spider's life.
If that doesn't bother you deeply, then I don't think you are ready for these types of discussions.
Tumblr media
Now I am open to discussing my opinion in a mature conversation, but I will not tolerate dramatics nor will I entertain blatant ignorance. If you cannot engage in discussions with at least some level of maturity and willingness to understand different perspectives, don't engage at all.

So what if you made Jake, Neytiri, Lo ‘ak, Tsireya, Spider, Kiri, Tonowari, Tuk, and Aonug try human food?
When I read this I said: I NEED to do this request. So here I go.
Quick note: this is the longest headcanon post I have ever made, it took me three days to write it and the worst part is that I am not even exhausted, I am a fanfic-writer-monster that feeds off of y’all energy 🤠
Avatar characters trying human food
Jake Sully
Tumblr media
He had tried human food in his human form, but he never had tried it in his avatar. And obviously Norm hadn’t told him that human food doesn’t taste the same and it affects differently to Na’vi. Sometimes it doesn’t have an effect, other times they throw up or worse.
He tried a sandwich for the first time, a simple ham, mayonnaise and cheese sandwich. When he first tasted it, he didn’t think it was the same taste he remembers.
Luckily, this sandwich didn’t make him throw up or have diarrhea or anything. But the taste is something he won’t forget. It felt so different that he almost shed a tear thinking that he would never eat anything human with the same taste again.
He is obviously the one that introduces human foods, or ideas of cooking to the Omatikaya, not in a offensive or forceful way. He just shows them the things he did, some people find it funny, others interesting and also some want to try it.
Neytiri
Tumblr media
At first, she doesn’t like the idea and eyes Jake carefully. She isn’t fond of humans and she doesn’t want to try their food. What if it’s poisonous?
After Jake insists, she tries a cheeseburger. She forces Jake to explain the whole process of how it is made, that way she will decide if she is going to bite into it.
After Jake has explained the bread with its sesame seeds, the burger and the cheese, Neytiri feels pleased enough to eat it. She doesn’t like where cheese comes from.
Anyways, she gives the smallest bite she can muster, even though it is halfway down the cheeseburger since it is to a human scale. She things the flavor is odd and may gag a little bit, but she doesn’t hate it so much.
Lo’ak
Tumblr media
Lo’ak is quite eager to try human food. He wants to see the good part of sky people, just like his father was once. Maybe, subconsciously, he wants to be like him. Following his footsteps.
He would try some spaghetti, easy recipe that Jake could follow on a human-sized kitchen without making the biggest mess to ever exists. With the help of Norm and other scientists, the spaghetti bowl is ready to be eaten.
Lo’ak doesn’t wait for it to cook down, nor he is interested in what has been used to make it. He burns his mouth, cursing under his breath as he takes a sip of his drink. “Darn thing!” He says.
Once it has cool down a little bit, he will try to take the spaghetti with his hand and he begins eating. It might be one of the flavors that gets better and not worse. He continues eating, not seeing the huge mess he is making.
Tsireya
Tumblr media
She finds human food quite funny and as Lo’ak asks her to try it, she is curious about how it will taste. She is never the one to pass on an opportunity to try new things.
They made her try something sweet, just like her. She tried pancakes. She though the idea of a dough so soft was cute. She toyed the pancakes with a fork, mixing up the chocolate syrup and the whipped cream.
Once it is time to eat it, she takes a spoonful in her mouth, eager to taste something that smelt so good. To her luck, the taste is almost she same. Not used to such a sugary treat, she is a little bit overwhelmed but so much sugar.
But after all, she finds it tasty, but she doesn’t like how sweet it is. She thinks it way to sweet. (Don’t throw the pancakes away, she will munch on them even after saying so).
Spider
Tumblr media
He is human, so he has tried tons of human foods. So this time he will try something new, ramen. It took Norm ages to make it, but there it was. And it smelt perfectly.
Spider isn’t really up for the idea, he has grown used to Na’vi flavors more than human now. When he first tries it he doesn’t like it. He also doesn’t know how to eat ramen properly and his noodles splash all the time against the soup, making a huge mess around him.
He isn’t happy about it, he knows it tastes delicious but he isn’t happy with the way he is making a mess. He feels a little bit ashamed and pretends like he doesn’t like the food so he can get up, clean it and nobody can see it.
He has a secret stash of pre-cooked ramen just to try it again.
Kiri
Tumblr media
Kiri is the one to try all kinds of new things and food is one of them. As she saw Spider eating ramen, she wanted to try it too.
The smell made her smile sweetly and she tasted it with a soft smile on her face. Sadly the mixture of textures and flavors wasn’t something that Na’vi took well. She threw up.
She knew it was delicious and she was willing to try more “simple” foods and not ones that mixed so many flavors at the same time.
She was sad that she could try complex foods, but she isn’t going to give up in her journey of trying.
Tonowari
Tumblr media
He isn’t a big fan of sky people or their food, but he is a mighty warrior that doesn’t say no to a challenge, specially when the former Toruk Makto challenges him personally.
Deep down, Tonowari is excited to try fried chicken, whatever could that be. The smell doesn’t actually appeal to him, making him gag and furrow his brows.
The fried chicken piece looks like a toy on Tonowari’s hand, so small that he eats it all in one bite. At first he is overwhelmed with the taste and gets close to throwing up, the oily sensation on his tongue almost unbearable.
But then he started chewing, taking his time to taste it and when he shallows he is smiling. He likes it, it is a little bit to oily to be considered one of his favorites but he does like it.
Tuk
Tumblr media
Tuk saw Kiri try sky people food and she is interested in trying some. Norm though of an age appropriate dish to make her and he made dinosaur nuggets for her. Or as he said “this nutritious dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets”.
She was happy, playing around with her food a little bit before taking the first bite. She liked it, biting off the stegosaurus head and then whaling about biting off his head. She was sad about the poor dinosaur she just ate.
Ketchup was a sauce she wanted to try dipping her nuggets in, she didn’t like the taste nor the way that her nuggets looked like they were injured.
She is willing to try new foods but she doesn’t want to torture more dino nuggies.
Ao’nung
Tumblr media
He HATES human food from the start. Won’t eat it, won’t smell it and won’t look that way. But oh…. Lo’ak called him a coward. Nobody calls Ao’nung a coward.
With his pride hurt, he makes the attempt to eat some sky people’s food. He is trying some grilled pork with fries and he absolutely devours it. He loves it. But as soon as Lo’ak looks at him he pretends to be gaging.
He is going to try so many more flavors. Until he finds those foods that don’t sit right with Na’vi and he ends up throwing up. Then he’ll stop.
Never trying it again ig. Well, maybe, just maybe, he’ll sneak around with Tuk to get more food. Just maybe.
