Fire: What’s a scene that you are dying to write?

Probably when Everly finally breaks the curse orrrr when she surprises everyone by retaining her firebird/fury form even after the curse is broken (major spoiler!!!!)

Water: How did you start writing?

I've always loved writing and reading, and I've wanted to write the kind of books I want to read since middle school when I didn't like any of the books on the required reading list lol. Then I majored in English and creative writing in college.

Earth: What do you think is the foundation of your WIP?

The foundation of TNV is definitely self-love, moving past your mistakes, and coming to terms with your inner demons. Everly is afraid to let anyone see how dark, messy, and monstrous she's become, but she finds her people who love every part of her.

Air: What’s the easiest part of writing for you?

Probably coming up with the main scenario and creating characters. I could do that allll day. Actually plotting and finishing draft is a completely different thing lol.

Spirit: What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received on your writing?

I guess that it’s enjoyable?? Haha, I’ve only ever let one person, my best friend, read the first couple of chapters of TNV and she’s always begging me to finish writing it.

psst, hey, guess what, imma be one of the first in this history to make a Neon Void costume. Neeheehee! So I have the story, so basically I went to Venez in Italy with this plan on a costume design and then I saw a fox mask with red stripe designs. I got excited till I saw the price. Urgh I only just recently found your fic and I cannot begin to express how obsessed I am with it! It’s so gooooooooddddddddddd!

I am curious tho, unless the answer is a spoiler of some kind, what effects has the Prison Dimension itself had on Leo’s body? In Neon Voids introduction, Raph mentions that he looks to be a similar height to Donnie, but has there been any long-lasting effects? Like malnourishment or growth stunting? I’m just imagining Casey, who’s well aware of how big his Sensei got, looking at Leo who will never get to that point. Another permanent reminder of how he « failed » him.

and to answer your question-- i honestly think that the biggest effect the prison dimension has had is on Leo's psyche. The mental strain of his dangerous and cruel environment will have the biggest and longest-term effects on him. As far as his body goes, I like to think that prison dimension was 'good' about putting him back together after especially rough bouts with Krang One.

but i love that Casey angst like OOF SO DELICIOUS 🩵😭

the bigger problems will come after leaving the prison dimension. now that he wasn't in a dimension with an automatic reset button for his body and maybe after certain events will happen... Leo will need some bed rest for sure lol 🩵

just had a random question come up in my mind- if Void did in fact age in the prison dimension, but couldn’t die as he claimed in the fic, what would have happened if he didn’t manage to teleport? Would he have just continued to age? Does that incline that he would just grow super super old but never die from his old age? Perhaps there was a time loop thingy for the prison dimension where it makes you age multiple times: for example, you would grow very old and then “restart” to the age you were when you got trapped there. Like an endless cycle of aging. I mean- the place was created to be an inescapable prison of physiological torture and high chance of insanity-

well, to be honest... i hadn't thought about it too much. because, frankly, my base was that aging would not stop. which is probably a bit too Hard Core to think about, but I do love the idea of a cycle style hehe.

WELL this also may be over thinking it, but i like to think that Krang 1) have extremely long lifespans and 2) for them, there isn't quite a state of "death"...

Rather, I like to think that if a Krang becomes too old to fight or their minds start to deteriorate, they move on to their 'last stage of life'.... which is to be assimilated into the organic matter that makes their Krang tech. I like to think that the organic matter that makes up the Technodrome (and other Krang tech that utilizes the 'hive mind'/'organic piloting') is made up of Krang that have 'died'. That's how their tech can be organic and mesh with the pilot so well.

But!! That's just a fun theory. (A bit more comforting than Leo running into vegetable Krang bodies just laying around, right???) But for Leo, homie would have ended up looking like Master Oogway eventually LOL

How is leo gonna destroy the key? I could've sworn they said they couldn't destroy it, so that's why they hid it in the first place (could be very wrong about this)

On the note of 'heartfelt creature'(despite being utterly insane), I would like to leave you with this lovely mental image;

Void attempting to eat a giant marshmallow.

I mean, he hasn't had one in at least five years, right? He just straight doesn't remember. How does he-Does he gnaw on it? Squish it only for it to puff back up again? Shove it down his throat and choke?

I know he's 'probably?' still sensible enough to know how to eat things properly, but I just wanted to give you this funny thought.

teehee! that IS a fun image to think about 🩵 Leo's eating habits since returning to earth have been abysmal. He's been acting on both impulsive desire and instinct. Sometimes grabbing things he most certainly shouldn't be eating. (cough-chapter 15-cough)

But I like to think that the Krang alien race is incredibly resilient. Perhaps even self-sustaining (only adding to their 'we're superior' complex). And because of that, Leo hasn't eaten much since returning. Both focused on his mission and the Krang-half of him sustaining him, Leo's regular bodily needs like eating and drinking take the back seat. Especially since he's used to feeling hungry and thirsty for the past five years.

But when he does eat.... it's the greatest feeling in the world.
