The Kat Family (need new challenge)

I tried. I really really really really really really really really tried. I tried to do the cat thing. I was going to be really good. I was going to have her breed the cats and then she owns a pet shop now and she was going to go to the pet shop with the cats and sell them to customers there and somehow raised 20 cats. I think we got to maybe eight total before I finally gave up this past round. All of the cats are in the adoption pool now.

So, yeah, these guys need a new challenge… I will be looking for one. In the meantime, Tara married Alan Cho, a Bluewater townie who knocked her up. they are fine together. I don’t mind them at all. (They’re kind of boring… maybe now all the cats are gone I can find something more interesting for them to do…)

They have twins, because of course they do. Their daughter’s name is Angora. Their son’s name is Bombay. Because Tara the obsessed cat lady would obviously name her children after breeds of cats. they just became children instead of toddlers, so all I know about them right now is they used to both like throwing Pet food in the air. Which might say something more about Tara’s parenting, then about her children.

I need to find just the right challenge for these guys… We’ll see what I come up with.

Tara showed Benedick the journals and letters left by her adoptive mother - Ginia. According to them, the woman was actually the condemned daughter of an infamous Alto family. Holly, after rejecting her parents' criminal legacy, left the house and changed her identity to avoid being associated with them. She cut herself off of her family, but still had to carry most of their secrets as a burden.

After the Altos left the Sunset Valley to avoid being arrested, they found their way to Veronaville. Once again, they tried to get involved with the two biggest families and further spread their criminal branches all over town. But the Capps and Montys were not as blind as Goths and Landgraabs. They quickly figured out Nick and Vita's games and chased them out of Veronaville. According to Ginia, the Altos had connections to mafia and as a revenge, they planned to destroy the two families by ruining the alliance between them. Although eventually the couple ended up in prison for the rest of their lives, they continued pulling the strings from behind the bars for years. Even after their deaths, the last assassins they hired were bound to "deal with the vermin" in case someone starts figuring out the truth. In her final journal entries, Ginia deeply regretted not being able to prevent any of the atrocities. But she claimed with relief, that everyone involved in the Veronaville crimes has died of old age by now or ended up in prison for completely different reasons.

Benedick: So... my mother died, because she almost figured out the Altos' involvement? How can we be sure they're not a threat anymore?

Tara: Look, I know what you're thinking. But I can guarantee you my mother had nothing to do with any of this and had no power to stop it. The last entries she wrote were shortly before her death less than a year ago. If she claimed it's over, I believe her.

Benedick: Well, I will have to be extra careful anyway. If this is all real, it's a groundbreaking discovery for our families. Too bad my grandfather didn't live long enough to learn the truth.

Tara: Maybe don't mention my involvement in this. I trust my mother with the threat being over, but better safe than sorry.

Cass and Tara are very much one of those old soul couples. Cass likes her natural and neutral witchcraft, taking time in the evenings after work to study - very on brand for her Goth name. Tara adores her cats and teaches them new tricks as she can.

Of course, their free time is limited since the arrival of Aurora. And they couldn’t be happier. While Aurora wasn’t born a witch, Cass can still help her to appreciate the craft. Tara spends time teaching her how to speak simlish first.

And as always, the nanny is garbage. Aurora couldn’t hold it anymore and mimicked the cats.

Uberhood (64) - Kat & Riley

Not much happened at the Kat family. Tara still wants to marry Andrew Martin and I think I'll fulfill this wish for her. I packed a few items into her inventory and as soon as I enter the Viejo household, I'll let them celebrate a wedding. The Viejo house is way bigger and especially with all these cats I think it's a good idea to let them move in with Andrew instead of him moving in with her.

The Rileys moved to Old Town a few weeks ago. Their former home in Pleasantview simply became too small for them. Especially after Vivian Riley (née Cho) gave birth to twin boys. I'm also sure the family needed this change of scenery after rumors of infidelity circled around. Have a pic of Etsu Cho drinking milk in the family's new kitchen.

A few days later Etsu celebrated her birthday with a big birthday party. It's so weird to me to see all these Sims grow up and start their lives. I never played an Uberhood before but it's just so damn fun to see all these different Sims cross paths and to play the game like I never did before. I have to admit that it becomes overhelming sometimes to keep track and avoid incest etc. but thank god for spreadsheets, right? 😅

Say hello to the teen version of Etsu Cho. Isn't she beautiful? 🤩
