Thoughts: the death spiral was pretty, even if the entrance wasn’t the most flattering shot of Brian

Barquero/Zandron(ESP)

Thoughts: me wanting to be nice to them because Macro is a dreamboat and the ISU dealt them a sucky hand in Beijing. I was going to add them to my radar but then they had to go and mess up the death spiral. Hm… where am I going with this. I started thinking about Marco’s side profile again.

Tarasova/Morozov

Thoughts: I love these two very much but Vlad. When they were doing of ice lift practice earlier while B/Z was on. He lifted Evgenia way too close to the railing. Vlad, don’t make me hit you with a frying pan.

Oh interesting. Do we know why Shae-Lynn doesn’t do ice dance choreography? Also what’s the relationship like between Charlie and Marina? I would have assumed it was good.

I'm not sure why Shae-Lynn doesn't do ice dance, maybe she got coached by Nikolai Morozov and Tatianna Tarasova and had to put ice dance away forever just for her own sanity. I wouldn't put it past her.

No, I doubt it's good. I'm sure its respectful but you don't get coached by Marine from a young teen to an adult in your mid twenties and come out of in unscathed. You know she didn't care about mental health, you know she was body shaming constantly, you know she was berating her skaters. It's really only when people are out of abusive relationships that they are able to fully realize the extent of the abuse and the fallout from it.

MIDA's action statement really focuses on 'nurturing overall well-being' and recognizing athletes as 'whole individuals,' which is excellent, it's what athletes deserve, but it's definitely not what any of those coaches got from their coaches when they were competing.

I just don't think they would want to have Marina's presence in their school.

World Rankings - 22/23

The ISU has updated the World Rankings for the 22/23 season.

Reigning Olympic and World Silver medalist Yuma Kagiyama of Japan leads the Men’s list, with Reigning Olympic Champion Anna Shcherbakova of Russia leading the Women’s.

Reigning Olympic Silver medalists Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov of Russia and Viktoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov of Russia lead the Pairs and Ice Dance lists respectively.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but though Mishina/Galliamov have amazing skate and they basically skate without any mistake, I somehow don't enjoy their skate as much as I do Tarasova/Morozov or Boikova/Kozlovskii

I just... dunno what is it... it feels like there's some chemistry or presence missing, or some character... Their skate makes me just clap hands approvingly while saying "splendid" and sip a cup of tea while seeing skate of second two pairs makes me hyped and emotional, making weird sounds while saying "that was some fucking amazing program!"
