Shoutout to Tharunka in Tongues of Serpents. Now that's an underrated character right there, a dragon stolen before she should hatch and be made to understand 5+ languages for trade. It's a wonder she's so level-headed and calm, when we see her in the books, for all the chaos she had to witness while in the egg.

#temeraire #tharunka and kulingile are an interesting study on how dragon hatchlings might think of community #since it's pointed out that it's weird kulingile got used to being fed by multiple people every day‚ so bribing him with food didn't work #tharunka reminds me of ning‚ in a way. i should wonder what tharunka thinks about being made to be intermediary to all these peoples
