Pokémon rambles: A new status effect for Nuclear Types (Novic/Hergeki Isles/Urainum)
An idea that came up from my fan region’s expansion storyline and a fan-made sequel to Pokémon Uranium. Since I wanted to expand the Nuclear type a bit: why not add a status ailment.
Introducing Irradiated (Stylized as RAD and surrounded by a green border) It functions just like that of a Pokémon being Badly Poisoned, but actually boosts a Pokémon’s Sp Attack status.
It’s not a common status ailment akin to that of Freeze since it cannot be inflicted through any status moves or abilities, instead having a low chance of being applied when a Pokémon is hit by certain nuclear moves (Namely stuff like Gamma Ray or even a new move known as Nuclear Winter (A very nasty move which has boosted strength in Snow/Hail or Fallout)
However a few types are immune to it: Namely Nuclear, Cosmic, and Light (or any Pokémon with certain abilities that prevent them from being harmed by secondary effects/status effects such as the Dranowan Cosmog evolution, Galasklisk)

Champions (OG Wattpad Post)
Dranowa has two champions to an extent though sadly one of them, the original champion, has passed away.  His niece has taken his place as the region's new champion. Their names are Matthew and Alucia.
Matthew
Matthew was the original champion of the Dranowa region. His ace Pokémon is a shiny female Pyrodactyl who is capable of Battle Bond thanks to training in a far off region. He began his journey very similarly to the Protagonist with his two friends, Marinus and Spica (who chose Chameerian and Roothoot respectively. They still use them on their teams too). He was beloved by the region for how much he cared about protecting it.
Claiming that "Once you become champion of a region you don't just do it because you want to prove that you are the strongest trainer in said region but instead for the good of your region. By becoming Champion, you acknowledge that people are going to look up to you and you should uphold that image of a role model."
He aided The High Council from the Hergeki Islands (An independent governing island chain part of the Dranowan Archapelgo that his home to many Pokémon from the Tandor Region), the gym leaders, Nova Corp, and the Elite Four during the Rising Tides incident in the Eden Isles. An illegal mining operation being conducted by a criminal organization that threatened to sink the islands into the sea if not stopped.
Tragedy struck the region one night when Matthew went to investigate some shady activity with the Elite Four. Little did he know that it was a trap set by the same organization behind the Rising Tides Incident. They attempted to take out the Elites but Raman (a member of the Eilte 4 at the time) attacked them, unaware that their Pokémon's attack had rebounded and struck the champion, resulting in Matthew's death. Believing he did it, Raman fled the region.
His Pokémon were taken under the care of the Professor. Matthew's Pyrodactyl can be found at Arcadia's Lab, where the protagonist helps the professor round up the starters in Rowanoak Ranch, which is now part of the Pokémon lab.
Despite having passed on, Matthew is battleable as a secret final boss, kinda like Red in GSC/HGSS or Steven in Emerald.
In order to do so you must have completed the main story (Beat the Elite Four and become champion), obtained the Lunar Wing (Catch Darkrai and Orpheus will give you the Lunar Wing which can be used to capture Cressalia. Also you don't have to have caught Cressalia, just have the Lunar Wing in your bag) obtain the Azure Flute (Is used to obtain Arceus). Same with the Lunar Wing, you do not have to obtain Arceus for this to work.), and finally an unnamed item as of right now.
When you have these items, go to Mt Brimstone Peak (the same place where you can encounter Rayquaza when you get the Jade Orb) and play the Azure Flute. A cutscene will play as the spirit of the deceased champion will appear and challenge you. Upon defeat, he states how proud he is of the player before returning to the afterlife.
As an award for defeating him, you will be able to obtain his Pyrodactyl from the professor. This Pokémon has the ability Battle Bond.
Team:

???
(Ace) Pyrodactyl (Female/Shiny)
Ability: Battle Bond
—-
Alucia:
She is the current champion of the Dranowa Region and the niece of the original champion Matthew. She does make an appearance during the main story to aid the player.
She was raised by her Uncle Mattie (as she calls him). After her uncle's death. She carries on his title of Champion of the region.
(I'm still working on a personality for her at the moment)
She can be encountered and befriended in the Resort Area like most other trainers, including being able to be recruited to the Battle Resort.
Flock has a crush on her and he gets a little cutscene at the Resort Area where the player acts as a wingman/women to encorage him to confess to her
Team (currently undecided)

Summing up my Poke!villain/anti-hero OCs with two sentences
Sirius Nova (PKMN:Novic): Literally nothing about this man is evil other than almost accidentally destroying the universe to save his daughter. Scatterbrained head of a company but just means well and loves his family.
Rayman Larkspur/R (PKMN:Nov The Hergeki Isles): Traumatized cyborg man who out for revenge against his own father and seems really scary on the outside but generally cares for others and his own team deep down. A giant wump who needs a hug because he’s been through a lot.
Willow Sycamore/Baneful Fox (Pokémon: Azran Legends): Formally temporal displaced unladylike gremlin who lives a double life with her old man to take down her grandfather. Also likes to attack people’s ankles.

Fakemon Doodles: The Atomicule Line
Tumblr media
A fakemon from one of my fan regions (Namely a crossover expansion/fan sequel to Pokemon Uranium) and one that I based off a rather obscure Namco Arcade game called Phozon.
Typing: Nuclear/Light
The Atomicule line is a rather strange Pokémon as it is one of the few naturally occurring Nuclear Types there is and is believed to be one of the few ways that Corrupted Nuclear Types can appear in the wild without human involvement when these Pokémon gather in huge numbers because of the energy they give off (Namely the base form, Molekron).
They get their energy primarily from nuclear fusion or by linking with others of their kind to transfer energy, but it’s not unheard of the later stages of Molekron’s evolution line attacking each other and forcefully them of energy, most namely being Atomicule who are viscous predators that tend to favor preying upon it’s middle stage evolution the most, Chemotope. Their body processes these reactions into fuel while excess waste is expelled into the environment as nuclear energy or even utilized by the Pokémon to defend itself. They can consume food such as berries like any other living being but don’t do so very often. They will also actively avoid Halfi Berries since consuming them does drain them of energy.
This Pokémon has been noted to have four main colors that its main body, also referred to as its Core, can be found in (Barring its shiny palette as it has its own color). These colors being Blue, Green, Yellow, and Pink. This primary Core coloration will persist throughout its evolution line but it has been noted that Core coloration does have a major impact on an Atomicule’s Orbital coloration (The Orbitals refer to the other ball-like structures of the Pokémon that do not account for the Core/Main Body, these parts can float detached from this Pokémon and act as extensions of its own body.)
The Atomicule line’s means of evolution is similar to that of many Pokémon as its evolution line is triggered once a certain stage has gained enough mass and energy, usually through bonding.
To demonstrate: All of these Pokémon begin life as a Molekron. Molekrons are very weak on their own and don’t really do much besides floating around until they come into contact with others of their kind. Molekrons are capable of bonding thanks to the spines and orb-like parts on their backs that act as connector points.mWhen a Molekron gains enough energy, it will then proceed to absorb any of those that are connected to it with the strongest becoming the dominant core while the others are reduced to a thick black lumps that cover the Core’s body. At this stage, the newly evolved Chemotope will go out on its own. Chemotope have much more energy then it’s Pre-evolution but still rely on bonding with Molekrons to defend itself and to gain energy. This often puts Chemotopes at risk at being preyed upon by its final stage. However if a Chemotope is able to evade predication and gain enough energy then it will evolve. Its outer shell will break away from the Core as the remains of once former Molekrons grow in size and regain their color, becoming what will soon be the Orbitals of the newly formed Atomicule. The Core now once again resembles its first stage when the Pokémon was still a Molekron. Atomicule use their Orbitals as extensions of their own body as they can freely control them whenever they are not connected. They also use their Orbitals to express their emotions such as vibrating them when they are upset.
The Atomicule line can be found just about anywhere but are most commonly found in areas with high amounts of Nuclear activity, such as the Tandor Region and the Hergeki Isles (Part of my fan region, Dranowa). They also tend to congregate around structures such as Radio Towers which is known to cause issues with transmissions/broadcasts.
Atomicule and their evolution line have very few natural predators outside of themselves but their most notable has to be the Pokémon Hazma. As when large numbers of this evolution line gather, it is known to attract Hazma due to the radiation they give off. Some researchers speculate that this is possibly one of Hazma’s natural food sources prior to humans developing nuclear technology.
It should also be noted that one of these Pokémon is used by Team Rapture’s boss, R. As his (false) Ace.
