Seeing Andrei be a little asshole makes me sad weirdly enough. he was just such a character. not only was he an extremely skilled hunter and miracle working painter + child genius but he was witty and a bit of a big mouthed dick and strong willed and full of life. Like he could’ve been so much and any chance of a life was robbed from him from the start

I took one of those free online Harvard courses on The Rite of Spring (mistaking it for Waltz of the Flowers lmao) and honestly, I think I liked it way more than I expected, I binged the course in one day. Anyway, I decided to do a quick light study and decided Armand should be the chosen sacrifice from the ballet. I included a link to it, its a bit brutal and jarring but idk I like it both the music and the choreography. My favorite section is the Glorification of the Sacrifice & onward.

Just one week to go. As a reminder, we have four prompts per week.

When you're posting your fic, just search "VC Microfic May" under collections and the option should appear (my computer refused to screenshot it appearing but I promise it does 😂):

Some FAQs:

Does My Fic Have to Be Under 1000 Words?

No! The goal is to write fics between 100 and 1000 words but it's okay to go a little over (or a little under). This isn't a contest, it's just a fun fandom event, we're all here to have a good time. I'd rather see your fic at 1200 words than have you agonizing trying to cut 200. Also, word counts vary in different software, so your fic might show 1000 words on one program, and then A03 might say it's 1011 or something. Don't sweat it!

Do I Have to Use All the Prompts Per Week?

Not at all! You can write 1 fic with 1 prompt, 4 fics with a different prompt each, or you can combine the prompts and write a fic with several prompts. And the weeks are guidelines as well! If you see a prompt in week 4 you want to combine with a prompt from week 2, go for it! Again, this is just for funsies, and to inspire creativity, none of these rules are hard and fast.

I know I’ve talked about it before, but the way Khayman shows up in the midst of one of the most chaotic and tense scenes in the whole book and then just immediately starts to THIRST after Armand is pure gold.

My man has spent the last few centuries in the dirt and he is ready to get Dicked Down

“Gee, Daniel sure is lucky to have that cutie pie by his side. Wish I were that lucky! 🤭🤭”

“We’re like, sooooooo similar!”

“He’s sooo much cooler than Mael 🙄”

Meanwhile, back on planet earth, poor Mael is sweating mother fucking BULLETS about the shit show that’s supposed to go down. What I love so much about this part is that, even after Khayman realizes Jesse is his great-granddaughter and gives his vow of help to Mael, he still fucks right off.
