Watched over: Day 2 Octavinelle x Child reader

(Note, when I say ‘x child reader’ there will be no actual shipping between the dorm mates and the reader)

Azul opened his office door after hearing the knock on it a second ago, after he did it revealed his teacher, Mozus Trein, who was holding a small child in his arms.

"Ah, professor, good to see you" Azul smiled

"Likewise, anyway, here is (Y/N) I already fed them breakfast, now you better hurry, class is starting soon."

Mozus handed (Y/N) to Azul, along with their backpack full of things the child could need and left.

Azul looked at (Y/N) "Well hello little flounder, my name is Azul and I'll be caring for you today."

(Y/N) gripped Azul's blazer looked down " (Y-Y/N) Trein…"

Azul smiled "Well little flounder, we have a busy day today and we must be going soon."

(Y/N) nodded as Azul walked out of the room and locked the door behind him.

"Azul! There you are!" Jade called out as Azul came into the classroom, walking over to him with his twin brother, Floyd right behind him.

Azul gave them a closed eyes smile "I'm sorry about being late, I had to wait for professor Trein to drop (Y/N) off today."

"(Y/N)?" The twins said in unison and looked at each other.

Azul laughed "I forgot to mention yesterday, today we'll be watching the child here in my arms." He explained while pulling away the part of his blazer that (Y/N) was hiding behind.

"Little flounder, this is Jade and Floyd, my assistants and dorm mates."

(Y/N) snuggled up to Azul, not sure what to think as one had a normal smile and the other was grinning like a wolf.

"(Y/N) huh~? My what a tasty little morsel you are, I could eat you up right here~!" Floyd said, bringing his face close to (Y/N)'s.

Floyd laughed but then stopped as he saw that instead of laughing the child was shaking with tears in their eyes, holding Azul's blazer tightly.

"Ah…oh dear." Floyd backed up and then walked back to his seat.

Jade sighed "Don't worry little flounder, he didn't mean any harm, he's just eccentric sometimes."

(Y/N) looked down "Oh…"

Just then the professor, Divus Crewel, walked in and sat at his desk, Jade and Azul followed and Azul put (Y/N) in his lap, their hair barely appearing above the top of Azul's desk.

"Alright my pups~ you remember what we started yesterday, so we'll be continuing on from that lesson."

Azul nodded and started to pull out his papers and pens from the day prior along with the other students.

"Hold on a second, I recognize that hair" Divus suddenly stood up from his desk and walked over to Azul.

"May I help you professor?" Azul asked

"Yes…if you don't mind." Without saying another word, Divus plucked (Y/N) from Azul's lap.

"I knew it, it is you, (Y/N)!"

"Ah! Mr. Divus!"

The students watched as Divus hugged the child tightly and spun them around.

"You know (Y/N) professor?" Azul asked.

Divus smiled "I do, I met them while at Mozus' house a few months ago."

There was a collective 'Ohhhh' from the other students.

"Anyway, you all do your work, I'll play with (Y/N), Azul, you'll get them back after class."

"If you wish, sir."

"Well would you look at the time, we must get going soon" Azul said as he checked his watch, he turned a picked (Y/N) up off his desk and motioned for the twins to stand too.

"Come now, we must start making lunch, we don't want our peers to starve."

"We're going to cook?" (Y/N) asked

"We are, we run the cafe after all and you'll get to help."

"Yay!"

Azul stood over the large pot, stirring the soup carefully, he grabbed a spoon and tried some "Hmmm…little flounder, take a bite of this will you?"

He held the spoon up to (Y/N) who was sitting on a stool near the stove, they opened their mouth and took the bite.

"It's good!" (Y/N) told Azul, smiling widely

Azul smiled back "You're right, then lunch is almost ready so-"

"Azul! We're out of eggs!" Jade shouted from the other side of the kitchen.

Azul sighed "Alright, Floyd, go to Sam's shop and buy our usual number of eggs and…take (Y/N) with you."

Floyd nodded and walked over, (Y/N) backed up as he did, still unsure of him.

"It'll be alright, Floyd won't hurt you, little flounder " Azul assured them.

(Y/N) nodded slowly and let Floyd pick them up gently, walking out of the kitchen.

Floyd looked down at (Y/N), who was shaking in his arms, he frowned and then said "I didn't mean to scare you earlier little flounder…I was just joking, I'm sorry…"

(Y/N) looked up at him and reached their hands up, petting Floyd's face, "It ok, I forgive you"

Floyd smiled "Thank you little flounder, now let's go get those eggs!" He said happily before running down the hallway.

~~ "Welcome to my shop, what may I do for you today?" Sam, the shop owner said as Floyd walked in.

"Why it's you Floyd, need something for the cafe?"

"Yes sir, we need our usual amount of eggs, we ran out" Floyd told him.

"Ah, well you wait right here while I-well well, if it isn't (Y/N) that's with you today, the others were talking about how they were coming for a visit and they were right, hello again froggy."

"Hi Sammy!"

Floyd smiled "Well, I'll get the eggs, here's the money you want" he placed some coins on the table and was on his way.

"And then I said to Lilia 'Like you know more than me old man!" Ace laughed and Riddle sighed at him, "You know Lilia could hurt you anytime he wanted."

"I know but I don't think he-ah!"

"What's your problem?"

Riddle looked up at the serving line only to see (Y/N) in an apron on.

"Ah, (Y/N) good to see you again" Riddle said, now smiling instead of his usual scowl

"Ahhh! (Y/N) come back to playing with us! You loved playing with me yesterday!" Ace whined loudly

"Sorry but they're ours for today and you probably won't ever get to watch them again" Jade told Ace.

"You guys are so mean!" Both of the twins laughed and said in unison "Maybe we are"

"Alright that's enough, just give them their food."

Azul sighed as he put his hand to his forehead "More useless requests from students, don't these people have any actual issues?"

"It's not like much goes on in this school anyway, people don't really need anything interesting." Jade pointed out, he turned his head towards his brother "Isn't that right Floyd?"

"Oooh! You're so high up in the air little flounder!" Floyd laughed as he held (Y/N) above his head "Oh no you're gonna fall!" He said as he brought (Y/N) down to his chest and hugging them tightly.

"That was fun!" (Y/N) giggled

Azul sighed "Floyd, focus, we need to find a proper-" he was cut off by another knock on the door, he looked at the clock "Well, it is five already, must be professor Trein."

He got up from his desk and opened the door, sure enough, it was the professor in question.

"I've come to pick up (Y/N)"

"Awww~ little flounder has to go so soon?" Floyd groaned

"Come on, give them to professor Trein before he fails us in all his classes"

Floyd sighed and handed (Y/N) to Mozus with one last tight hug.

Once again there came a rare but small smile from Mozus, he kissed (Y/N)'s head, said thank you to the boys and left.

"Azul, we can write our own contracts of things we want right?" Floyd asked

"Maybe, but it depends, what could you possibly want right here and now?"

"I want (Y/N) to come back! I know you do to!"

"Calm down, we'll probably see them tomorrow so don't whine."

"Fine…"
