Did you know it was speculated that Taichi’s/Hikari’s mom, Yuuko, was named after Sora’s Japanese OG voice actress, Yuko Mizutani? And that Sora’s mom was named after Taichi’s OG voice actress, Toshiko Fujita?

Well, apparently, Koushirou’s mom, Kae*, was named after Hikari’s OG voice actress, Kae Araki too. And then I realized. Koushirou’s mom herself is also voiced by Kae Araki. So it all comes together.

(*even though the novels translated her as Yoshie, but this makes a loooot more sense to me now.)

YouAppi Establishes Office in Japan, Hires Ex-Yahoo! Employee Yoshie Nakabayashi as Country Manager

YouAppi, a company providing mobile growth marketing platform, has announced that it has opened its office in Tokyo, Japan, and appointed Yoshie Nakabayashi to be its Country Manager.

In a company release, the co-founder and CEO at YouAppi, Moshe Vaknin, expressed his excitement declaring that opening an office in Tokyo was “strategically important” as the company achieved growth of about 600% in Asia in 2016 following the series B round of funding a year ago. He additionally talked about Nakabayashi’s appointment, and said, “With the Japanese mobile marketing pioneers based on advanced locally developed technologies and user behaviors, I’m glad that we have Yoshie Nakabayashi to lead YouAppi’s team in Japan.”

Based in San Francisco, YouAppi has offered its proprietary OneRun solution to bolster its clients and partners’ “comprehensive mobile growth.” It entered the Japanese market in 2013 and has since been working with its publishers, marketers, and agencies. Establishing a presence in the country will allow the company to better cater and respond faster to its local Japan-based partners’ needs.

Nakabayashi, who has been appointed to head YouAppi Japan, was previously at Yahoo! Japan, working for the past three years in the position of Marketing Specialist. In a statement, she expressed her excitement over joining YouAppi, saying that the thing that attracted her the most about the company was that it had recorded strong growth in the region and continent, and its technology-driven and comprehensive OneRun solution could address the requirements of publishers, marketers, as well as agencies in the “increasingly mobile world.” She will be joined by Tetsuya Mizutani, who will be the company’s Account Manager in Japan.

Driven by its success in Asia, YouAppi has been experiencing high revenue growth worldwide. In the past four years, it has had 450 advertisers from around the globe, running about 15,000 campaigns via 100 billion impressions every month. The OneRun platform has offered its clients a single place to buy mobile media optimally by bringing together YouAppi’s trademarked predictive algorithms and machine learning which enable analysis of more than 250 terabytes data daily.
