I'm really liking the focus on Patterson and William's relationship. We see so little of this.

Amazed at how much trust Patterson has that William would of course have told him whatever he's planning and since he didn't know, this can't be part of The Plan. God, William and his crew are So Much.

Patterson: Oh no what if they're targeting William???

No wonder he gets along with Moran

Patterson is massively overthinking all of this.

Patterson doesn't even use an honorific for Mycroft; this is clearly solely reserved for the brothers.

Patterson is basically giving us a rundown of where in the series this happens with massive exposition that I personally don't need and am curious about because YuuMori tends not to be heavy on reminding you of stuff.

Again, massively overthinking this. Poor William has his crew trained way too well.

William is so incredibly protective of kids. He's protective of people in general, always has been, and he's always been kind to younger kids than him even as a kid, but I wonder if any part of it is because of him actually killing a kid (as a kid). Or maybe that's part of why he hates himself so much. IDK. Overthinking this myself.

Anyway, I'm fascinated by this insight into a missing period of the manga where they're all worried about William being assassinated but he's still going shopping for gifts

Have I mentioned recently that I adore Herder? I adore Herder.

Herder has a thing here that makes me think of translation because what he says is like, "Ethic-less" but I think it would translate better as "anything goes"

There's been 7 pages of exposition of something that was obvious and clear already. This pacing is just not like it used to be, and I hope it's because of the novels and not just because we lost Takeuchi (although I think that loss contributes)

The fact that they're having all this "testimony" and bothering trying to prove things to the villain is just not a thing that would have happened in the mainline story, y'know?

This case of a noble thinking the middle class is getting too uppity by being a merchant is WILD because historically nobility would never have borne being a SHOPKEEPER.

Like seriously there was a whole thing about how when the merchant class started to become more wealthy that some nobility because being a business man made more money than a freaking landlord, but like--

Okay, that ending with everything resolved and William staring off into space unresponsively is freaking me out a lil.

I miss your live tweets of yuumori chapters! I love your thoughts about the series and I also like reading your posts on here.

I, also, miss my livetweets of the YuuMori chapters. I have posts here on Tumblr of the latest chapters I never posted on Twitter, and I try to do them in as much the same spirit, but I know it's a slightly different vibe. They're still tagged "YuuMoriLT" if you want to find them.

I'm glad you like the thoughts on the series. I have many of them.

Before the release of chapter 59, we had some time to see Louis in action (or more than usual), spoiler ahead, since William is alive and asked Sherlock to help with the MI6, I'm still hoping for more Louis scenes than refocusing on William once again. I still want him to be around but his appearance usually shadows over Louis' (in the previous volumes). As for Albert, I'm hoping for sth like a redemption arc that we'll get to see him in real action without William or Louis to be around and a reveal of his past in India and wars. What do you think? (I know some of the way I put into words it's either oversaying it or under-saying it. Apologies for that.😅l

Regarding spoilers: I think everyone who follows this blog knows that there will be spoilers for the recent chapters on this blog, and I usually tag them, so no need to warn me for YuuMori spoilers after the street date. l read the new chapters within a few hours of release, but if you're super curious to where exactly I've read to the in the manga, I have a running live-tweet of every volume tagged #YuuMoriLT.

Do not ever send leaks, but "spoilers" are fine because I'm almost certainly already aware of the canon material.

I find this ask amusing considering I just earlier today discussed why I dislike speculating on future events and responding to most of the ones I get. I tend to keep my hopes vague. I just want a satisfying story, not a bullet-list.

The idea of William overshadowing Louis is interesting, considering that's pretty much exactly how Mycroft and Moneypenny both phrased it, too. Did you do that intentionally?

Anyway, I've written lots about Louis in action already from chapter 57 (it was over 1k words, whoops), so I don't think I need to re-litigate that.

I don't think we're going to switch to Liam yet--or, if we do, he and Louis will not be reuniting next chapter. Possibly not for a few. but I would like them to reunite to prove Louis can stand on his own next to his brother, too. He's strong enough for that now.

Albert is a situation that interests me because I'm not sure what to do with him at this point, but sidelining him permanently and completely seems a bit odd to me. I don't know. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with him.
