Another problem with Warriors being bad at ages and timelines is Firestar and Graystripe were made Warriors early??? I never saw it that way since they had just had their assessments so I assumed they were adults and it was Sandstorm and Dustpelt that were being held back, probably for their bad attitudes.
yeah it doesnt make sense. i actually went and read back parts 1 and 2 of tpb out of curiosity and i think it's just messy writing. because there's no actual time skip said/implied when they both are made warriors and bluestar openly says yeah that was sick they're worthy now. like time has passed but we arent really told if it means theyve aged. aside from this a little before greystripe says he wouldnt be a warrior for many moons and firestar wasnt even in thunderclan for that long, yet to himself he states its been some moons and hes grown in size but never actually states if he's talking abt his age since kittens actually grow in size (if you take into account that irl they grow in size daily, which is a thing warriors only acknowledges Sometimes). but the thing is he's only been there for two moons if you go by months taken place. and..theyre literally referred to as still kittens and young apprentices throughout the first book. then after the ceremony, second book, is when we get an actual timeskip and firestar then refers to himself as no longer a kitten..so yeah i dont really know what went on in the erins' heads.. i feel like if ages are pretty important in this series, they should be better planned and memorized.
i guess the erins meant for them to be 12 moons (warrior age) by the end of into the wild?? but barely any time passes enough for firestar and greystripe to be at that age. but really at this point i don't think it matters because time isnt detailed or meant to be a concern in warriors. just do what you can with the info you have

things I will always be angry about in Warriors (but some on them can be explained, once again, by the fact the Erin were asked for one book only, then ok three, then six, etc and never had the possibility to sit and establish the lore in the first place):
all the kits and apprentices being retconned into a family tree in the clan when it appeared the story would go on, and the two pairs of same age apprentices (Sand and Dust, and Grey and Raven) being not siblings (or being but not always the same age like Dust and Raven being supposedly littermates, Greystripe is Darkstripe's brother or something??)
all the characters killed in-between arcs, whether in super editions or just their deaths are mentionned and that's all (Willowpelt, Rainwhisker...)
Greystripe being the example of the best friend ever and best warrior when he is either betraying or not at all in thunderclan for the first arc, in Thunderclan but Firestar isn't in between the arcs, not there for most of the second arc, and a lazy senior warrior who eats more than he contributes in the third and fourth. Also he is a terrible mentor to Brackenfur.
warriors without a mate being suddenly mated to some new, very yound warrior because apparently the erins remembered they wanted them to be mated, or because it was the only way to prevent incest? ex: Thornclaw and Blossomfall, Ivypool and I don't remember his name.
no clear rule about how distant two cats must be in a family tree not to be an incestuous couple. Foxleap and Rosepetal starting to flirt and then it never being mentionned again after the Erins realized they were technically uncle and niece (Rosepetal is Spiderleg's daughter and Spiderleg is brother from another litter to Foxleap)
all the kits who died, not of hunger or sickness, but just died no reason mentionned. Like, if so, why even invent them? Alderpaw and Sparklepaw's two dead siblings, Lynxkit, Tulipkit, Elderkit...
that Graystripe was ever a deputy when he was not respected by the clan and had barely mentored someone before
that Firestar refused to name at least a suppletive deputy after Greystripe's disappearance.
that Firestar named Brambleclaw deputy when he had no apprentice yet after having been tormented by the fact Bluestar had named him in unconventionnal way/setting
that Berrynose never had an apprentice, didn't redeem himself, didn't get to be Bramblestar's deputy.
that cats suddenly have powers and can reincarnate and stuff.
that the Tribe and the Clans are just the source of each other and there is absolutely no way of knowing how a group of cats started living together around the lake at some point, it's just ''where do we come from?'' ''well, from the mountains actually'' ''and where did they come from ?'' ''the lake'' ''ok, no need to no more about it, to dig any deeper, I'll just forget I even had these questions''
that (maybe only in the translation idk but maybe also in the english books) the kits in the first ark are never named. We only know their names from the moment they are apprentices onward (except for Bramblekit and siblings and from then on).
that Birchfall never seemed to suffer any consequences from having seen/felt two of his sisters die next to him when he was a kit.
that Ferncloud had to suffer so much in so few books when she lost at least three kits in the second ark.
that Firestar and Sandstorm stopped at one litter. I could have seen them, after Squirrelflight and Leafpool were more or less adults, have another litter. Same with Birchfall and Whitewing, and with basically anybody who wasn't Ferncloud and Dustpelt or Daisy, like, they seemed like the only cats who had kittens more than once in the third and fourth arks.
the whole Ashfur/Squirrelflight/Brambleclaw love triangle
the fact it went from Warrior Cats to Diplomatic Cats, that we barely ever have a good old fight with no death and no consequences and no long diplomatic tractations to avoid it (now when there is a fight it's been so escalated there will be a death or a gravely wounded, where are my border hustles?) and leaders find it cmopletely normal to go into other cats territories to exchange news (Mistystar going into thunderclan when it's not the way to her camp after going to the Star Pool because she wanted to tell them Leopardstar is dead, Bramblestar after the flood...)
the fact there were two very old she-cats who had a second litter twenty seasons or so after the first one in the very last book (the Last Hope is one of the last translated in my country as of today appart from the DoC arc) (Brightheart and Sorreltail if I'm not mistaken)
the kits born around the Last Hope being already warriors or even parents in Avos (ok I didn't exactly lie but like the first two books of Avos are translated and I don't know anyone in there) so we never got to see them grow or know what they are like, like we had for BerryMouseHazel for example when we saw them plenty as kits then a bit as apprentices even if we missed half of their early lives between the cycles.
in recent arcs, cats from the first two arcs being still given so much screentime and not newer warriors, and very old cats (like Dustpelt, Greystripe, Sandstorm, Brackenfur, etc, who were alive and already warriors in the first arc) still the main focus except for Firestar's decendants like they were still young warriors. By that I mean we barely know Birchfall, Honeyfern or Mousewhisker.
the fact thunderclan is just getting more and more kittypets/loners/otherclans members in, I mean yeah sure, avoid incest and all, but also... the other clans are right to think thunderclan is really accepting just about anybody.
and so, so many more things!!!
