anyway this is soooooo freaking obvious but teaching is also a job that takes and takes and takes from you for so many reasons but, at least for me, primarily because you have to have a relationship with the kids that has all the appropriate boundaries up and that is grounded in the right context and you as the adult have to front-load all of the work of implementing and maintaining and shifting (when necessary) the structure of it all and if you’re doing it right that work is invisible and looks easy so it largely goes unnoticed and unappreciated

#I mean look. I’ll admit it. Teachers as a whole CAN be annoying about all the work they do #they can be. I have come to acknowledge that #(And include myself in it!) #but it is a job that simply empties you out #or does if you do it and approach it this way I guess. Legitimately, I do not understand the issues with proshipping, and why it's seemingly so endemic to the DID community now. The rules are very simple:

Do what you want in the privacy of your own head.

Write whatever you want, but tag it appropriately so others can avoid.

Ship whatever you want, it is fiction and does no harm of itself.

When the hells did we stray from the basic tenets of Fandom and Transformative Works? It's FICTION! Hurt/Comfort? Whump? It's largely just vent art under another name! Tag it, or blacklist it, and move on.

Writing about a subject is not tacit approval of its real world counterparts! Unreliable narrators exist. Protagonist does not mean "hero of the story." Antagonist does not mean "Villain." And professionals all tend to agree that working something out through its fictitious representation; whether art, writing, music, etc; is healthier for the brain than ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist.

It allows us to explore "problematic" emotions and situations without involving real people. That is GOOD! It is HEALTHY!
