Rafael paced in front of the student theater, dialing your number over and over again. He could hear it ringing over the phone, but-- was that your ringtone?

He stared at the doorway to the lobby where Javi and Gabi were still standing, Gabi’s purse was lit up. She finally noticed it and picked it out of her purse. Her eyes grew wide with shock and as she looked up to see Rafael had caught her, they went wide with fear.

“We gotta go,” Gabi grabbed Javi by the sleeve. “NOW,”

Rafael ran around the side of the building as fast as he could. He may have been getting up there in age, but when he was determined he could do anything. And he was determined to find out why Gabi had your phone. He met them at the side door as they were coming out.

“WHY do you have Y/N’s phone? Is she--is she even in there?” His face grew white as he slowly put together what was happening.

“I...Um...Well--” Gabi was shit at lying.

“DON’T give me that bullshit, ‘Gabi’,,” Rafael scoffed. “I KNEW you were trouble, god dammit I KNEW it!!” He made fists like he wanted to strangle her.

“Yeah well luckily your girl isn’t as intuitive,” Gabi chuckled.

“You stupid--” He lunged for her, he didn’t care if she was a woman she had you somewhere-- she had you TAKEN somewhere.

“Whoa whoa whoa there abogado, take it easy,” Javi stepped in between the two of them to protect Gabi. “Your girl is in no danger, I promise you that,”

“...Yet,” Gabi muttered with a smile.

“I swear to GOD--” Rafael tried for her again. “If anything happens to her I’ll--”

“You'll what?” Javi was now smirking. “Please, tell me you big bad abogado, tell me what you and your snarky words are gonna do against Nevada’s men and guns?”

“Nevada?” Rafael fell backwards, he felt sick to his stomach. Nevada had you; the most dangerous, notorious, ruthless Drug Kingpin in New York had YOU.

“What does Nevada want with my fiancé?!”

“Obviously to get you to do something, cabron,” Javi pointed out.

“Do what?! I have absolutely nothing he needs!” Rafael shook his hands.

“Let’s just say you and him have a common denominator that he just discovered, and he’d like to exploit that,” Javi smirked.

“Damn Javi, turning me on with that book speak,” Gabi licked her lips seductively.

“I go to night school,” He grinned at her.

“Yeah I’m sure, to mop the hallways,” Rafael rolled his eyes, making Javi punch him in the gut.

“All you need to know is that Nevada has your girl, and if you go to ANY of your cop friends, he’ll know. And he’ll kill her, right on the spot. Trust me Nevada has zero patience cabron, I wouldn’t test him,” He warned Rafael while he was doubled over in pain.

“....And then what?” He stood up, rubbing his stomach.

“And wait for a call from him. I’m sure it’ll be soon,” Javi assured Rafael.

“Yeah after he’s done with her,” Gabi smirked.

“Oh my-- NO. NO You can’t let him--” Rafael began to panic, begging them not to let anything...traumatic happen to you.

“Don’t worry abogado, I’m sure Nevada will take good care of her,” Javi smirked as he punched Rafael in the stomach one last time, leaving him gasping for breath as they made a getaway.

Meanwhile

The limo pulled up in front of the Ritz Carlton. “Rafael” got out first and then took your hand and helped you out of the car. You just stared wide and starry eyed as you walked into the lobby. You had never seen a place so beautiful, so elegant. You never had money to travel ANYWHERE-- you knew your small town in Jersey, and New York City. That’s it. And you’d never stayed in a hotel, let alone a luxurious one.

“Rafa….Wha…Why are we here?” You looked at him with starry eyes.

“....I just thought we’d celebrate the end of your semester, mi amor,” “Rafael” smiled, rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb.

“You’re too good to me,” You kissed him, and he once again took it to a whole other level. You’d never seen him this aggressive, you’d never kissed him like this. It was...off.

“Never, carino,” He shook his head as he broke the kiss and took your hand in his as he led you to the front desk.

After checking in, you found yourself walking into the Penthouse Suite of the Ritz Carlton, something you’d never thought you’d be able to say.

“Oh my god, it’s so beautiful!!!” You clapped your hands together and bounced up and down as you immediately started to explore the room.

“Rafael” had to admit, he was a little amused by your excitement over things he’d gotten used to. But this was no pleasure trip, it was strictly business. He needed leverage on that abogado and you were going to give it to him. He marched over to you before you could head into the bathroom to check out the spa. He grabbed you and threw you on the bed aggressively, lust in his eyes.

“Well, somebody wants to get down to business,” You growled seductively.

“You read my mind, Carino,” “Rafael” smirked. “Ah but… first,” He walked over to the overnight bag he had brought and pulled out handcuffs, and a blindfold.

“Um, Raffi--” You nervously giggled. “We’ve um, you’ve never--”

“I thought we might try something a little different tonight, carino,” He licked his lips as he inched towards you, like a cheetah stalking its prey.

“Well, I-- I guess--” You stammered, staring at the objects in his hand. You had never been so...adventurous with anyone, let alone Rafael. “Rafael” could tell you were more than a little nervous, but he needed to get that blindfold on you. He may have Rafael’s face, but their bodies were more than a tad different. “Rafael” had tattoos on his wrists, and more than a few scars from various assentation attempts and fights. He needed to turn this up.

“Please,” He gave you his sweetest puppy dog pout eyes, before beginning to nibble on your earlobe. He had never done that before, but you were quickly learning it might be your new favorite spot. Time stopped moving, your mind turned off, all you could feel was pleasure as you felt his tongue in your ear, his teeth on the lobe.

“Whatever you want,” You sighed, not knowing what you were allowing.

“That’s exactly what I’d hoped you would say…” He growled as he tied the sash blindfold around your face, pulling it tight. You couldn’t see anything, you were completely at his mercy.

“Rafa….?” You called out to make sure he was still there, as if he would have just blindfolded you and ran out of the room.

“Yes, amante?” You heard his husky voice behind you as you felt your arms being fastened to either side of the headboard.

“Rafael I don’t know about this--” You bit your lip nervously.

“Shut up and let me work,” He barked, making you wince.

“...What?” You could swear that the voice was different from normal, something about it was more...dark.

“I mean, I thought we’d try...role playing, y’know where I’m a dominant asshole, and you’re my prisoner,” His tone suddenly went back to loving and soft, as he laid a tender hand on your bare stomach,

“Oh I-- I didn’t know you were into that,” You nervously replied.

“There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Y/N,” You heard the husk again. “But you’ll learn tonight,”

You could hear him getting undressed, and then undressing you. Something about it seemed so...wrong. And real.

“Rafa--”

“DON’T call me that,” He growled. “I’m not Rafa anymore, I’m Vada,”

“....Vada?”

“Uh yeah, like-- like Darth Vada,” He joked, making a thick New York Accent saying “Vader”.

“Um, ok ‘Vada’, I don’t think I like--” Before you could protest anymore, Vada’s mouth was on yours in a hungry animalistic kiss. His hands began exploring your body, pulling and prodding every inch of you. Everything was heightened by the darkness of the blindfold, and it was exquisite. His mouth travelled south, biting and kissing every inch of you on the way down. You writhed in pleasure while strapped to the bed, you knew your arms were going to be sore tomorrow.

“Now, be a good little whore and don’t make a SOUND while daddy works, or you’re going to get punished,” You heard the husky voice commanding you.

“A good little what now?” You asked defensively, he had never talked to you this way-- and you weren’t sure you liked it. No matter who he “was.”

      The only thing more interesting than a fantasy world show is a fantasy world show with a villain as the main protagonist. Enter Overlord.

  The massively successful, highly interactive MMO, YGGDRASIL, is about to have its servers shut down after 12 years. Momonga, the skeletal leader of the strongest guild of the game, makes it a point to stay on until the final minutes of service. When the countdown runs out, Momonga’s player finds himself inhabiting the world as his character and still commanding his guild, Ainz Ooal Gown. Taking on the name of his guild, Ainz Ooal Gown begins to expand his rule with an iron fist while trying to find any other players who may also be trapped in the game with him.

  Overlord is unafraid to make its protagonist undergo some dark transformations. Despite Ainz’s intentions to create a stir in this new world and unite all species under his rule, he becomes gradually less hesitant to use his immense power to achieve his goals by any means necessary. With its dark overtones and unique protagonist, Overlord truly makes a name for itself among the genre. 

  Hunter x Hunter

    Love the action genre but wish the formula could be tweaked a little bit? The infamous Hunter x Hunter may just have what you’re looking for.

  Gon Freecs is a young boy who sets out to become a professional Hunter while searching for his missing father. Along the way, Gon learns how vast and diverse the world is as he meets new companions, fights terrifying monsters, and becomes stronger at every turn. There’s no telling what new adventure or threat awaits Gon and his friends as the world of Hunters opens up wide to them.

  Subversion is the name of the game when it comes to this popular and influential series. While there’s plenty of intense action to be had, Hunter x Hunter isn’t afraid to go deep into mafia politics, race relations, and even gender identity. At almost every opportunity, Hunter takes the usual tropes and turns them upside down to tell a story that’s all too raw, emotional, and impossible to look away from.

  Garo: Vanishing Line

    Jujutsu Kaisen director Sung Hoo Park has plenty of notable works under his belt, including directing The God of High School. But you might be surprised to know that JJK isn’t his first foray into demon-slaying action. He also directed Garo: Vanishing Line.

  While searching for her missing older brother, Sophie is led to the metropolis of Russell City where monsters known as Horrors prey on humans in the night. Luckily, she comes under the protection of Sword; as Garo, the strongest Makai Knight, Sword and his crew are tasked with defending the city and eradicating Horrors.

  As part of a popular tokusatsu (live-action with heavy special effects) franchise, Garo is known for its modern gothic aesthetic and compelling action. Vanishing Line continues that tradition in spectacular fashion with intense fights and an exhilarating soundtrack, not to mention an intense first opening by Jam Project of One Punch Man fame. From start to finish Vanishing Line never takes its foot off the pedal and is sure to keep you pumped all throughout its high-octane 24-episode ride. 

  The Rising of the Shield Hero

    Fantasy world shows often put their protagonists up on a pedestal, but the eponymous Shield Hero is practically dropped into adversity from the get-go.

  Naofumi Iwatani is one of four different high schoolers plucked from their dimensions into a fantasy world in peril. As each of them is armed with different weapons to combat the impending threat, Naofumi draws the short stick by becoming the Shield Hero, who is traditionally marginalized and maligned by their peers. To make matters worse, he is accused of debauchery amongst royalty and shunned by the entire kingdom he was summoned to protect. Broken and disillusioned by this strange new world, the Shield Hero must now climb his way to redemption alongside other unfortunate souls neglected by society.

  A Cinderella story in every sense of the word, The Rising of the Shield Hero draws its appeal from its protagonist having to overcome the odds and fight back against the forces that oppose him. While it can be hard to sit through when it comes to raw emotion and some questionable content, this anime has plenty of inspiring moments as marginalized folks work their hardest to become heroes of their own repute.  

  Attack on Titan

    Chances are you’ve at least heard of the anime sensation that is Attack on Titan, and with the show approaching its end, there’s no better time to see what all the hype is about.

  Humanity has spent thousands of years walled off from the outside world in order to keep Titans away lest they feast on humans. Eren Jaegar has long wondered what the world beyond the walls was like, but he gets a rude awakening when Titans break down the walls and begin a violent invasion. Vowing revenge on them, Eren joins the Survey Corps and swears to do everything he can to eliminate every Titan in existence.

  This popular anime is known for its unparalleled animation and mysterious story that takes several unexpected turns. As long as you can stomach the violence and sit through some terrifying visuals, there’s something for everyone in Attack on Titan from heart-warming relationships to intrigue and high-stakes drama. As the show comes to a close with its final season, there’s no better time than now to jump onto the giant-slaying phenomenon.  

  Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-

    Nothing messes around with the rules of the fantasy world genre quite like Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World. 

  In typical fantasy world fashion, gamer shut-in Subaru Natsuki is summoned into a medieval fantasy world rife with magic and monsters at every turn. For all intents and purposes, he now lives in a game world, especially whenever he dies and comes back to life sometime before his death like a checkpoint revival. With his newfound power, Subaru attempts to survive in this strange new world and help out his growing band of companions, especially when it comes to Emilia, a young elf who’s in the running to become queen of the Kingdom of Lugunica.

  Re:ZERO is rife with powerful drama as Subaru uses grim knowledge of his past lives in order to do good. This darkly compelling fantasy has been praised for its complex world and nuanced characters, and has even accrued many Newtype anime awards in 2016, including best director and best protagonists. If you like the idea of traversing murky corners and tough moral choices, then Re:ZERO might just be your next big obsession.

“An RPG / Visual Novel / text adventure hybrid” is a mouthful - Roadwarden Devlog

In her Rock, Paper, Shotgun article, Jay Castello has mentioned:

The game’s genre is purposefully fluid. On (...) Studio’s website, the top frequently asked question says “I can’t figure out what is this game’s genre,” to which they’ve cheerfully replied “Me neither.”

When I mention Roadwarden in my Facebook posts or on Twitter, I usually struggle describing it. I keep saying things like “RPG / Visual Novel / text adventure hybrid”, but it’s not very... marketable. I like to use “interactive fiction”, which is arguably correct and sounds fine, but it doesn’t explain well what the player does in the game.

The main goal of this post is to sink deeper into this topic: how could we label Roadwarden? And what it actually is?

By the way, during the next couple of days I want to update the game’s demo. It’s going to be awesome.

Why am I looking for a label?

Why is the label important? Is it just because it’s convenient for social media ads?

When we categorize a game, we also set up the player’s expectations. If we call a game an endless runner, we make a promise. We claim that it’ll be easy to learn and hard to master, with a very stable pacing, without pointless plot and accessible from your phone. Sure, some endless runners can diverse from this premise or even completely fail at executing it, but making this label is an act of communication. Here is what I have to offer. Are yo interested?

And while Roadwarden fits into various definitions of specific genres, it makes promises that are not as commonly associated with its labels. It has an experimental approach to role-playing. Violence, that’s always plot-related and significant, not grindy. Exploration of a grim, detailed and consistent setting, but not a very heroic one. Dialogues used as the core of the experience, not just a tool. Humble adventures of a regular person in a world that overwhelms it. And I try to avoid common tropes in my story.

And I never ask myself “is it OK to add this new feature? after all, it’s not popular in this genre!”. I add everything that helps me make a better game. I put the experience above the marketing convenience.

A term “video game RPG” is famous for being a very vague label, pretty much impossible to define. It’s one of the most diverse branches of gaming. Every person plays RPGs for different reasons, thou we could probably make a list like 1) a complex story with possible side quests, 2) some character progression (both story-wise and through XP-like mechanics), 3) combat and exploration. If you prefer western games, you’ll probably enjoy 4) having important decisions. And you probably like 5) fantasy, eventually science-fiction with fantasy elements.

Sure, there’s a lot of variety - we have action RPGs, text-based RPGs, tactical RPGs, dungeon crawlers, rouge-likes... It’s really weird that the same label somehow covers The Witcher 3, Undertale, Final Fantasy VI and Wizardry from 1981, yet not Far Cry Primal, but that’s because these games are classified by an objective definition of a genre. We just try to say: “if you like X, you may also like Y. they’re kind of similar”.

Roadwarden as an RPG

When I develop Roadwarden I’m interested in things that most RPGs consider unimportant. And I don’t mean something like “I care about story, and These Other Games are all about combat”! That would be a silly statement. But I put an emphasis on aspects of the story which are often marginalized.

For example, in most RPGs you simply kill things (in self-defense!) and grind XP to get stronger. You can kill 10 packs of wolves and 25 boars and it means absolutely nothing. You’re just overcoming a barrier while trying to get a new level or reach the other side of the forest. Killing these enemies won’t be considered animal cruelty. Won’t destroy the balance of the nearby forests. Won’t starve the villagers. These animals are not Really a part of the story.

In Roadwarden, bandits don’t randomly spawn and die without influencing the plot. They are not some random loot waiting to drop on the floor for the player’s convenience. They have families, friends, goals, story behind them. They don’t want to kill you - they want your stuff. And they’ll try to rob you only if they know you can’t beat them. The Shattered Abyss

Eleven Years Prior....

The night sky was enchanting to anyone who took the time to truly look. The way stars brightly burned eons away like beacons of hope lost floating in the cosmic Great Dark Beyond. But not to her, not to the Huntress who knew better than to waste such wistful thoughts. Mortals had a tendency to romanticize what they did not understand, and the starscape was no different. For every diamond that twinkled in the distance there were a handful of worlds that lay broken beneath the might of the Legion. All one had to do to truly understand the mentality of an Illidari was to look up to the stars with the realization that even the majesty of the cosmos could be doomed to servitude.

Those of her ilk knew the lands as The Shattered Abyss, and certainly Mardum lived up to that title. In times long past this hellish landscape was used as a jail of sorts for the Demons that the Dark Titan Sargeras captured before his fall. When he turned to darkness, his might was used to smash the planet into pieces- leaving nothing but clusters of earth scattered in the ebon expanse and the demons he once hunted free again. Left with Brood Queen Tyranna as its leader, the world once known as Mardum only become a lynchpin for the Legion. There she would breed terrible monstrosities in the name of claiming other worlds.

Where worlds such as Draenor had only been touched by the Legion and their machinations, this world was different. This was to be the fate of all worlds once the demons had their way. Where life still roamed in the Outlands, there was nothing but the opposite in Mardum. There was no water that wasn’t polluted by Fel until it was lakes of boiling lava, nor rocks that remained untwisted by sickly gray and green hues and deterioration, the air even stunk of decay as if it were poisoned along with the rest of the desolate landscape. If it weren’t for the very things that corrupted the land it would crumble against the weight of its own destruction. Draenor was still in the very early stages of terraformation before the heroes of Azeroth began to intervene on the doomed world. The misguided notion that they may save it, as they hope to save their own. But Mardum was just one in a long line of proof that the Legion had planetary conquest down to a science. That planets like Draenor and Azeroth stood a chance was a pipe dream at best.

It was all part of the plan, according to Illidan. There had been a few targeted planets on his list to invade, to strike back at the Legion. But this place, Mardum, it was the crown jewel of his conquests. For to him the Sagrenite Keystone was a prize like no other, it held the answers to their salvation, to everything's salvation. A battalion of hand picked, loyal, and capable soldiers as well as their various specialization were chosen for such a cause. But the warlord of the Illidari knew that nothing but a small army would suffice, and even then most would fall. But sacrifice was something well known to the Illidari, Illidan most of all.

Korrinth and her squad were among the chosen sent to this forsaken place. Almost immediately the sickness of the broken planet set in. Time seemed slower there, as if every hour passed was days at a time. The air was harsh and hardly breathable, filled with grotesque smells assaulting the Hunters already enhanced senses. It was hard to believe that anything could survive on this floating slab of dirt adrift in the darkness; nothing but the very monsters that destroyed it. Though the sight of such a place only fueled their hatred, reminding them of everything they fought for, for the sacrifices they made. They alone were the ones to tackle these obstacles, and they alone would be the ones who were sent to the gates of hell and asked to do the impossible.

Silently the huntress sat perched on an overlooking cliff face. Crouched down with clawed hands digging into the rock below as she peered over the demonic technicians, the Gan’arg, scrambling around a myriad of portals. Her batlike, fleshy, and well preserved wings extended from her shoulder blades served as a wrap around her, obscuring the glowing markings that traced over her body. No, her commander had asked her to gather information, not start a war. Her job was to get in, get out, and without causing mass panic along the way. After all, they still had the element of surprise on their side.

The Felfire burned brightly where her eyes once were, almost predatory in her assessment of the enemy forces. Her head trailed as one of the engineers broke from the pack, tracing his movements. It didn’t take long for the redhead to make up her mind regarding the risk and reward. In one swift motion she would use her hands to push as her feet soon followed in suit to jettison her from her rocky perch. Letting gravity take her closer to the ground the huntress would soon let a pair of faint purple wings unfurl from her form, catching the wind and yanking her into a glide. While her speed was great in the swoop that followed, clawed digits had no issue finding their target; the throat of the cursed beast she had been stalking. Plucking the demon from the ground, and adjusting for the extra weight, Korrinth would let the divebomb styled tactics take her further away from the camp before her feet met land.

“Hello, precious.” The Huntress said with a mix of venom and playfulness. Though as her claws tightened around her prizes throat, playful was the last thing one could describe her as. “You’re going to tell me where that lovely Queen of yours is… I’ve been dying to meet her.”

The demon struggled against her grasp, using its own claws to come around her forearm as it desperately tried to free its airway. “Hunters?! Here!?” It exclaimed in a surprised tone, barely choked out from beneath Korrinths grip.

The redhead bared her teeth, fangs and all, in a smile before a digit from her free hand came up to “Shhh.” The demons suggestion. “Tell me what I want to know and maybe I just send you back to the Nether instead of adding you to my ever growing collection.” She threatened.

The demon tried to laugh in that maniacal way that the smaller ones did, especially when they were nervous or in this case terrified. “This one knows nothing! Nothing!”

“Mmm, you do know some things. Like how those portals operate. I could put that to good use… so that this wasn’t entirely a waste of time…” She mulled over slowly to give the Gan’arg more time to think.

“Wait! Wait! Please…” The demon pleaded. “This one has never even seen the Queen… but he hears things….”

“Go on.” Urged the Huntress.

“She gathers forces to the northeast, where she hatches the spiders. Big portals, lots of demons. Can’t miss it! You… you let me go now?”

“Mmmm…” She mulled over as the wings on her back subtly folded into her, shrinking further and further until there was nothing left but reddened olive skin. With a shrug she would ask, “And what guarantees do I have that you won’t tell the rest that you saw an Illidari here?”

“I swears it!”

Korrinth would let the Gan’arg down to the ground, that smile still playing along her lips. “You’re free to go.” She added in a chipper tone.

The demon scurried fast and relatively far as soon as his feet hit the ground. But all motion was halted as the Huntress plunged a Felsteel dagger through the top of his skull from behind. “Oops... “ Though her tone indicated that this was her plan all along. “I’m sorry love, but you can’t expect me to believe you…. And i’m afraid what you know about the portals here is far too valuable to let slip away.” She went on to explain as the demon drew its last breaths.

There was no pause after she spoke, tilting her head back as streams of light green and pale purple intertwined coming from the demons body straight into the Huntress’ dagger wielding hand, and for a brief moment, the woman looked to be in ecstasy as she drained her foes very essence entirely, consuming it for her own needs. Letting the demons withered husk of a body fall to the desolate landscape, she would continue to smile. All the way back to where her comrades had made camp.

Tor hides your meta information from the website you are visiting by going through multiple proxies, or layers of indirection. This makes it harder for a website to identify you. These websites will still collect information you give them such as usernames, searches, and other information you type into their website.

A proxy is a layer of indirection. For example if you go to google.com the owner of that website can see who you are. If you add a proxy you'd go to proxy.com and they'll go to google.com for you, which makes it harder to identify you. However, now proxy.com knows information about you. Imagine going through multiple proxies, so your identity and sensitive information is protected. This is the basic idea of what Tor does automatically to protect you.

Tor Browser

The simplest way to start using Tor is by using the Tor Browser, which sets up most things for you.

The Tor Browser is an easy to download and use web browser. Simply download it and use it just like any browser. It has some additional security features such as disabling JavaScript by default, making your window size standard, and spoofing things such as your operating system so it's harder for websites to gather any meta information about you.

Almost anywhere you go on the deep web you'll be using PGP to send sensitive data, including shipping addresses and discussions about purchases. This is essential to understand in order to protect yourself in the deep web.

The main reason to use PGP is to encrypt your shipping address when ordering online. This means nobody will know your address except the vendor. Most vendors claim to throw away shipping addresses after the labels are created.

The basic idea is that when you use PGP you'll have a private key and a public key that are paired together. As the names imply you need to keep the private key hidden so only you can access it, but you should feel free to share your public key on the internet. When people have your public key they can create messages only you can read with your private key.

Some markets have the ability to encrypt messages for you, but be warned this means the marketplace would need to be fully trusted and our inability to trust a marketplace is one of the main reasons we use PGP at all.

Usage

PGP is intimidating to most people, so if you're looking for an easier experience I recommend using a desktop application. There are a lot of different clients not listed on that website, so feel free to search around and see which one works for you.

For the most advanced users you can use the command line tool.

If you're new to PGP, try creating a private keys and encrypting/decrypting messages a few times. This will be intimidating at first so play around with this until you feel comfortable with it. Remember, if you place an order online incorrectly it'll simply be rejected by the vendor and you can try again.

Most markets have rating systems on sellers, and sometimes the buyers too. When buying a product you can see how many orders the seller has had and some rank that the seller has.

It's worth pointing out that because some markets have ratings on buyers, it's not uncommon for new accounts to be ignored. I'd suggest starting by buying something small, legal, and/or digital. This will boost your ranking in the market and encourage others to accept your orders.

Discovery

The way I found quite a few markets was just a quick search for “dark web markets.” Watch out for fake phishing links that exist to steal your password or cryptocurrencies.

Once you've found a market, you can just keep reading it to find more markets. You'll often notice sellers mention other markets listed on their profile. Keep a record of markets and their addresses.

Here are some markets I've discovered, in alphabetical order. There are no guarantee these markets still exist when you're reading this, but it's a starting point when searching for one.

Validation

When visiting a market, they often have a list of “official mirrors.” You should write down this list. I recommend putting it as a comment in your password manager.

When logging in or sending money, ensure the domain you're using is in your official list. If it's not, search for it online and see if anybody can validate the domain.

Account Security

Most markets don't have the option to provide an email address when you sign up, which you might look over. However, what happens when you forget your password? They can't email you to recover your account. Some allow you to reset your password with a single 4 digit pin. Being proactive will help keep your account safe.

PGP 2FA

Luckily, a lot of markets ask for your pubic PGP key, and it's treated as a first class citizen, since everybody registering will have one already. This could be used to help with logging in. If you aren't familiar with 2FA, it basically adds some additional login requirements to your account. In most cases, a site will use your public PGP key to encrypt a message only you can decrypt, so after you decrypt it you'll paste it into the login screen to validate you have the private PGP key.

Uniqueness

Using a different username for each website will help avoid linking your activity between websites together. It should go without saying you should be using a different password for each one. If this is difficult, you might investigate using a password manager.

Think it through

Not every market will have every account security feature. It's best to try and break into your own account and identify your weak points. Can you request a new password? Can you guess your password?

It's also important to think about physical vulnerabilities such as writing down your password on a sticky note next to your computer. Or leaving the market open on your laptop for long periods of time. It might be best to only log on when you are alone and stay on for as short amount of time as possible.

Don't become a target for Social Engineering where people use social vulnerabilities to get you to open up or reveal secret information. It's best to keep your secrets to a close set of friends. Don't reveal anyting about the dark web, online markets or anything else listed in this guide.

Shipping

In most cases, just use a real address. Most vendors know how to ship things without them getting seized. Don't buy from manufacturers with low to no reviews from customers until you know more about what you're doing.

However, if you still want a way to receive mail anonymously this section is for you.

Getting a PO Box under a fake name

You'd want a fake address if you don't trust the vendor. To obtain one you'll need a photo ID and proof of your address.

Photo ID

You can order these on the dark web. I did a quick search and I found “US Fake IDs” where you can order a drivers license from various states. You can do a search for “deep web fake ID guide” to find more vendors if this one goes down. Do your research on the vendor if you end up not ordering from an online market.

Proof of Address

The easiest way to do this is to download a digital bill and modifying it in Word or a similar program. This is manually verified by the post office, so as long as it looks like a bill or mortgage they'll accept it.

Cryptocurrencies

Bitcoin

Bitcoin is the most common currency used for purchasing products online because it's fast, secure, and anonymous. The biggest drawbacks I noticed were in obtaining the bitcoins and transaction fees.

Obtaining Bitcoins

There are many services you can use to purchase bitcoin using: bank transfers, credit cards, and even cash. Each has their pros and cons.

Bank transfers are a great way to get a lot of bitcoin, but can also take 5-14 days to process and by that time the bitcoin rate could have changed and you could end up needing to get more, or have some left over.

Credit cards will be more instant, but services will often block cards they think might be fraudulent. Online services where you register for an account start you out with a smaller card limit, but after a few purchases will raise it.

Using cash is probably the most anonymous way to purchase Bitcoin since most don't require you to verify your identity, but because transactions aren't instant, beware of scams.

Don't send bitcoins from where you purchased them directly to a market or vendor, read the section on “Shuffling” first.

Transaction Fees

Credit cards have fees, but these are often paid by the vendor. The reason these transaction fees exist is because it takes real servers to process transactions, and keeping those servers running isn't free. This still happens with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

When lots of transactions are happening, fees will go up. And when very few transactions are happening, they will go down. This is because transaction fees are similar to bidding to have your transaction processed.

You can usually select how much of a fee you are willing to pay, but the lower the fee the more likely the chance of the transaction being lost and you could lose your Bitcoins. A lot of Bitcoin Wallets will suggest how much you should use.

Wallets

Electrum is currently the highest rated wallet on Bitcoin's website. You simply download the open source application that works on most computers, then create a wallet without giving any personal information, and you'll be able to send and receive Bitcoins within the application.

Choosing a wallet can be difficult, and if you're looking for more options check out Bitcoin's Guide to choosing a bitcoin wallet.

You can either download Electrum or choose a bitcoin wallet to store your bitcoins.

Shuffling

Bitcoins are anonymous, but you can trace them back. It's a common practice to “shuffle” your Bitcoins. Basically, this means sending your coins through a handful of different wallets before they get to the destination so it's harder to trace. A common way of doing this is to create multiple wallets and send your coins from one wallet to another before sending to a vendor or marketplace.

A basic example would be to buy some coins and send it to your public wallet, then send it to your private wallet you made under a VPN or on the dark net. Next, either send to the vendor or market.

More advanced techniques could be sending partial payments to multiple wallets and eventually collecting them back into a single wallet or market at the end, or using a service such as Bitcoin Mixer.

Password Managers

While having a password manager isn't necessary to be safe online, this section will be used to talk more about them.

When you register for a website you could use the password manager to create a strong unique password that you can look up later. These managers will store this information in an encrypted format using a password you set.

Using a password manager makes it harder for people to guess your password, steal it from you or copy it from another website.

Picking one

Common password managers include 1Password, KeePass, or LastPass. They are all very similar, but vary in pricing and where your information is stored.

Drugs

One common concern when ordering drugs online is knowing you're receiving a quality product. You should always learn as much as you can about the type of drug you are purchasing, such as common things it could be cut with, how to store it, and how long it will last.

For example, MDMA stored in the right conditions can last longer than you. However, magic mushrooms stored in the right conditions will lose potency over time and last no longer than a few years.

Knowing common things about each drug helps you undestand what to worry about the substance having or not having in it, which can help you identify your test plan.

Vendors

Find a vendor with good reviews over a long period of time. Read their entire profile carefully, and read a few of their other product listings. Be sure to read the reviews on the vendor and the reviews of the product you want to order and products similar to it.

Vendors often change product listings for various sizes, so no reviews on the product you're buying isn't always a bad thing. For example, if they have no reviews on the 2g of MDMA doesn't mean it's a new product if they have hundreds of reviews on the more commonly sold 1g of MDMA.

Reagents

A reagent is a test you can perform on unknown substances to detect the presence of certain chemicals. By adding a reagent to a small sample of your substance, it will change colors revealing the possibility of it being a known substance. You can get reagent kits for as low as $35.

Most reagents will react to the substances within a few seconds, but some are more complex and can take a few minutes to react. Be sure to read all the instructions on your reagents and check the reaction card that came with it, or look up the reaction card online.

Since false positives can exist with a single reagent, testing with multiple reagents can help better identify substances. Using multiple reagents can also help distinguish between two similar substances such as being able to tell MDA and MDMA apart.

There are lots of different reagents you might be interested in, depending on the substances you plan on buying. You can buy reagents individually and in kits. Both Elevation Chemicals and Dance Safe offer kits.

Storage

Time, oxygen, and light are the most common things to consider when storing your drugs. I'd suggest storing drugs in many small air-tight amber glass containers inside a dark closet or cabinet. The amber glass (and cobalt blue) helps protect against UV rays. Being in a small air-tight container helps protect against oxygen exposure, since opening up a large container with all of your substances would re-expose everything to oxygen again.

Answer The Phone Level: Engage In Early Duel With An Agent

Playing as Ghost on the city rooftops, after evading the many gaps and climbing the ladders, the agent that burst through the door drops down to destroy you. If you choose to hide behind the left wall and attempt to fire off rounds from around the corner at this agent, he will unsurprisingly dodge every bullet. If you Focus, you should be able to jump over the gap between you and the agent, and will be able to engage in hand-to-hand combat. However, at this point it is extremely hard to win; so continue to jump across to your left. Fall down into the lower area. Now instead of taking the cop out and running up the stairs, dispatch the cop(s), but wait around long enough to see the agent. If he fires at you, then Focus and bullet dodge to get close to him. You now have enough space to fully challenge this agent without being closed in. Battling an agent is more intense (and difficult) than taking on any groups of police or SWATs, because they can avoid all bullets, have shattering strength, and cannot be fully destroyed (except of course by Neo). You will have to Focus almost all of the time in order to knock him down, and inevitably you will soon find yourself on the brink of death. Run up the stairs and to the phone if low on health. Note: Although you cannot fully destroy the agent, you can temporarily defeat one until it moves into another body. This would seem impossible, but there is a way. Going back to the point where you climb up the ladder and the agent first drops down, instead of waiting for the agent to land, climb up the ladder. Before you even see the agent, start running and use your Focus to jump to the platform where the agent lands. Still holding Focus, move behind his position where he lands. Begin to kick him, and as he is off guard, he is very unlikely to counter. If you kick him enough, you should be able to knock him off the edge of the “platform” and down the gap, causing the agent to plummet to his death. Thus, you have temporarily defeated an agent. Note: If you should ever face Agent Smith, you would be wise not to underestimate him, he is the most skilled agent.

Airport Level: Take Out Helicopter

During your battle with the helicopter as Ghost, use the following strategy. Focus Run across the room to where the wall starts to curve. Back up against the wall facing the away from the large glass window. Hold Auto Aim and when the SWAT starts to jump down through the window, use your Focus and dispatch them with the least amount of ammunition possible. Go back to where you were against the wall earlier and wait for the helicopter to pass over. When it does, it will shoot the wall. If you are in the correct location, it will not hit you. After you hear the bullets stop, run around the wall and the helicopter will be exposed without any protection. Use your Focus and dump at least a clip into it. Then, return to the wall and repeat the process. It only takes three to four times to take down the helicopter. Playing as Ghost, and after you have just shot off the plane’s tire, you will encounter the agent chopper. Change your weapon from the M95 Sniper Rifle to the SG – 552. Immediately stand almost as far back as you can go from your current position, so that you are not too close to where the chopper will appear. The moment you see it, use Focus and fire at the same time. The chopper should take major damage, but will leave your health at a minimum of about 20% before backing off. It will then try to attack you from the right; turn about 90 degrees to your right and get ready to blast it with the remaining ammunition. Make sure you that you do not stay too far back, because your shots may have less chance of hitting. You may get killed here if your reflexes are not fast enough. Also, if you defeat the chopper you may be left with just 1% health, but this is enough to get you out of there, let you save your game, and continue the war to save Zion.

Cheat Warning

When using various cheats, including “Unlimited Focus”, “Unlimited Health”, “Unlimited Ammunition”, and “Maximum Firepower”, the game places a grenade or bomb immediately where you begin the level (only on some levels). It does not kill you, but will knock you for a loop. For example, on the “Agent On Board” level, you start out besides Axel. If one of those cheats are enabled, the bomb will blow up Axel and you will die, ending the game. You must play this level without cheats in order to complete it. The way to get away from the bomb is run before it explodes.

Hack Into The Matrix

Once you have saved, you can select the Hacking option and begin to work on hacking into The Matrix itself. As the Matrix is quite simply a simulation, its rules are no different to a computer systems. This allows you to not only access all stored files, but you can change the physical laws of the system (as mentioned in the “cheat” descriptions) Laws like gravity can be bent, for a greater time/effect than the limited focusing alone. To take advantage of the Hack System’s abilities, you will need to know exactly what to enter following the command prompt (default A Drive standard (A:)): Enter DIR to display directory choices. You can simply type .EXE then press Enter. The executable will be opened. It is not the same with .TXT files, as you must type READ first before the text file selection is revealed in Command List. Simply type DIR then a space followed by B: for the contents of the B Drive to be revealed for selection, rather than typing individual filenames. After experiencing the rabbit hole for yourself, the “CHEAT.EXE” is invaluable for those with free minds looking to further enhance skills, and bend the rules of The Matrix. After opening the executable, you will be required to enter specific codes, which will directly alter rules of The Matrix, making it easier for you to utilize your ability to focus the mind, and other aspects. For an easy way to unlock cheat mode, at title screen select “Hack”. Press any key when instructed. Once the system has loaded, type DIR. You will eventually see various choices. One of these choices will be “TOOLS”. Instead of typing it in, go all the way to the left where your options are “HELP and DIR”. Click “DIR”, then you will see the same choices on the screen above. Click on “TOOLS”. From there you will see more choices “CHEAT.EXE” and so on. Click “CHEAT.EXE” and enter in any the codes.

Morpheus Message
