#and it's unclear whether they're talking about murder or sex

I've been seeing some articles online about how now would be the perfect time to revive NBC Hannibal because Bryan apparently has ideas and Mads wants to finish the story and also we're coming up on the 10th anniversary of The Wrath of the Lamb in 2025, but how, because of the time between seasons, they'd most likely have to do a time skip in the show.
And I just have to say that I love that idea and I think that's how season 4 could thrive if it happened. Because the fandom has had nearly 9 years to think about and create their own post-fall headcanons, and there are bound to be people who maybe made art and fics and are in love with their post-fall idea and the show wouldn't turn out the way they wrote it in their fic or drew in their art and they'll be upset.
But what about 5-10 years after the fall? I don't know about y'all but I don't see a lot of fan works about that. And I think it'd be interesting to see what the NBC Hannibal team would do with a Will and Hannibal who are fully realized as murder partners, if not murder husbands.
If I could throw out an idea for what I think would be a funny way to show us Hannibal and Will in a timeskip season 4:
~~~~~
We're getting a moving view through their house in Cuba. It's dark outside and dark in the house, too. We can hear the sounds of Will and Hannibal somewhere else in the house, grunting and breathing heavily.
Will pants out, "Move faster."
"Patience Will. I'm not as young as I used to be."
A laugh escapes Will and he grunts again, "You didn't seem to have much trouble thirty minutes ago."
"That was thirty minutes ago. This is now. Perhaps if you're so spry then you don't need my assistance finishing this." Hannibal remarks.
There's a loud thud. "Hannibal!" Will accuses, although he sounds more annoyed than angry.
The camera finally pans to a hallway in the house where we see Will carrying a dead man by his underarms and his lower half is dropped unceremoniously at Hannibal's feet.
Will sighs and looks at Hannibal. "Will you help me with the cuts? Please."
The corners of Hannibal's lips turn up. He's never been able to deny Will when he uses that word. He bends down with another quiet grunt and picks up the corpse by its feet, and the two of them move into a room at the end of the hallway and shut the door.
Sorry, I know this isn't what I normally post but I've been thinking about Sebastian's aversion to nudity. Also sex is mentioned briefly in this, and obviously nudity is mentioned a lot, so maybe don't read this at the family dinner table (or do I'm not your boss)
-
Do you ever think about the fact that all of Sebastian, both his body and his clothes, are constructed? Like Sebastian's skin and teeth and eyes are no more a "real" part of him than his jacket or his gloves, he (the Demon) made all of that up.
People sometimes talk about their clothes or uniform or even accessories being a 'second skin', meaning they rarely take them off, that they're incredibly natural to them, maybe even that they're a part of them. Sebastian's uniform arguably fits that criteria, he's barely ever without it unless he's assuming another identity.
And like, think about how inextricable that uniform is from Sebastian the person/identity/persona. It's implied that 'Sebastian', our unflappable old man butler is just a role the Demon known as Sebastian is playing, both for convenience (so he has a reason to stay close to Ciel without arousing suspicion) and because if humans know the extent of what he truly is they'll probably go mad.
To take it one step further, do you think the Demon Sebastian thinks of his uniform (and by extension the persona of Sebastian) like actual skin? Like a barrier between the humans around him and something unspeakably grisly. Perhaps when the uniform, the indicator of his persona's trade, is removed, some of Sebastian goes with it. Perhaps when the uniform is removed it reveals something a little too close to home? Too personal? Or simply too distasteful?
Like I know Sebastian's disdain for his true form is something largely added by the anime, but perhaps he feels it's rude or a failure in his 'acting' if he feels the mask slips without his consent. Sebastian (whether the person, the Demon, or both because the separating the two is missing the point, is unclear) takes great pride in his work as a butler, both in his mastery of human skills but also in his performance. Do you think having that performance ruined by disrobing is akin to a costume mishap in a play? A break in character?
It would also explain why sometimes breaks his 'butler aesthetics' (like when he had sex with Beast for information) without much concern. Like he's still 'in character', it's just that Sebastian (the character) is expanding a bit. Like okay, maybe Sebastian the unflappable butler is willing to go to some unpleasant lengths to complete a case, but he is a butler of the Phantomhive estate, so of course he's not squeaky clean (he also does a lot of murder, which, you know, also probably a bit agains the butler aesthetic).
Idk if this is anything, feel free to leave your opinions on my ramble in the notes somewhere, comments tags, reblogs or otherwise.
The threesome chapter was very fun (I know people complain that we didn't get a full smut scene but I'm ace so I was very happy) but I don't think we talk enough about the chapter AFTER it.
We open scene, oh it's a Callum chapter how nice.
Literally Callum's first thought upon returning: "Something had happened to Tristan"
Which, I just love that those words are the first thing we see. Not to mention that he instantly looks for Tristan as soon as he returns. It tells us that they've gotten quite close over the course of the book.
And also the fact that Callum wants to discuss their strategy now that they're in a murder cult (see: who they kill) lololol.
Then Callum relieves Tristan's headache which is sweet but normal (EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT LATER WE LEARN TO DO THAT HE TAKES ON THE PAIN HIMSELF) (Also in tap it's implied that Callum has taken pain away from Tristan more than once sooo)
THEN
"Did you enjoy the opulent shores of Greece, Your Highness?" (The nickname!!!!!!!!!!)
"You were invited, as you may recall." (Callum wanted to spend the December leave with Tristan??? *dies on the floor*)
"Yes, and I should have gone, clearly." (You know it's a bad time when despite having a threesome with the hottest person in the world and the woman he has a massive crush on, Tristan would rather have hanged out with Callum, who is an asshole and a loser <3)
"Well, next time." (NEXT TIME????)
Someone, please write a fanfic where Tristan accepts Callum's offer and they go to Greece together, please please please
THEN
Callum goes all
"You know, there is no fate so finale as betrayal. Trust, once dead, cannot be resurrected."
It's unclear whether Callum says this because:
a) Parisa dislikes Callum so Callum feels Tristan being with her is a betrayal (most logical)
b) Tristan slept with Parisa and Callum is upset
c) Callum is a petty bastard who is jealous that Parisa told Tristan they're in a murder cult instead of him (most likely)
Someone interacting with Tristan in a slightly friendly way and Callum flipping out is very funny to me so I have decided that it's canon now. I mean we saw in tap Tristan and Nico talking and Callum being very upset about it, so cannon.
Then Callum is all like "I was talking about the murder thing not anything else" which is super smooth Callum, super smooth.
THEN
Tristan says that they should choose him to die and this irritates Callum to no end.
"Oh, for fuck's sake Tristan. Must you be so very small all the time?"
This could be,
a) Insecurity is boring to Callum (as he claims)
b) He actually cares about Tristan so Tristan suggesting he should die is upsetting because Callum would be sad if Tristan isn't there (I mean, we all saw how sad Callum was in tap when Tristan merely wasn't talking to him, imagine how sad he would be if Tristan died, I'm actually writing a fic about that lol)
Then Callum bumps into Rhodes and gets all pissy because he knows that Tristan didn't tell him about what happened between them. This really shows how close Callum (unknowingly) feels he is with Tristan that small bits of information aren't being shared is a big deal...listen I just love my two fucked up boys.
THEN
Callum goes to kick down Parisa's door and Parisa is like "ew I'm not having sex with you" because she is a queen.
And the first thing Callum says is "What did you do?" which is far too blunt for Callum normally, showing he is not fucking around.
Then he says, "What did Rhodes have to do with it?" suggesting the first question was clearly only referring to Tristan. Listen...I just love them...
Then of course, Callum has the best sleep he's ever had because he knows he's going to win his and Parisa's little competition.
Then Callum cringe fails because despite "understanding people" and "understanding emotions" he thinks that killing Parisa will make the others (*cough* Tristan *cough*) like him more.
I love how Callum's reaction to Parisa taking Tristan away from him is murder, he's so good at life <3
