These scenes are from s3 ep 2 of clone wars where Fives and Echo helped Rex and Cody and the other clones defend Kamino against Ventress and Grievous and their droids. I don't think it's super likely that the showrunners got the bad batch planned out since then but it's still a pretty cool paralell.
