favorite childhood book: i had so many but hp used to be very important to me as a little kid. then i grew up and jkr became... jkr, but while this kinda soured the whole franchise for me i'm still fond of it and the characters (and sometimes i unapologetically read - fucked up, of course! - fanfics about it, if the premise is really that good).

currently reading: a reread of the ballad of songbirds and snakes (🤡🤡🤡) by suzanne collins, this time in the original english, and the bloody chamber by angela carter. my next read will be my name is red by omar pamuk.

currently watching: the glory, so far a very promising korean drama with two great female protagonist and villain who share an (albeit extremely fucked up) interesting dynamic that i haven't seen often in mainstream media - between two women, i mean. it's mean girls but what if the alpha bitch was really evil, physically and mentally abusive, and borderline psychopathic? and the victim grows up to be a stone-cold bitch obsessed with vengeance? as you can see, really juicy stuff.

currently consuming: as in food? last thing i ate a nutella crêpe my brother made, it was delicious!

I wanna hope that Lily Gladstone wins best actress and I worry about that. Emma Stone already won an oscar and she'll have other opportunities but what about Lily? but what if that’s sava who is saying “what’s with all the cameras?” now that we can see the wide angle shot. like the thing that has me going hmm is that angela explains “they’re filming a documentary”. lucy’s already been in two, shouldn’t she know what that looks like by now? and even if she were to have been undercover as they started filming, they would have all had to have been notified prior to it when the crew would arrive to film. not only that, she looks so confused and almost hesitant despite lucy being so enthusiastic about being part of these documentaries. it just doesn’t add up to me?

especially considering the “tim just dissapeared line” and how this was said in a different voice/accent than lucy’s, which most likely may be that sava’s the one who’s saying this. like sava and tim might interact? which i think may also mean that she could potentially work with the rest of the team like angela and nyla. 

also, in my head, i picture sava as smart?? idk but she doesn’t give the same energy as dim and maybe it’s how lucy played sava in the vegas gig that has me thinking this way but i could see her being more astute and helpful in an operation which is why she’s there when tim ‘dissapears’?

like maybe dim and sava’s invovlement in the op and with chenford going undercover is beacuse sava walks into the station looking for them?

Do you have any theories about why olivers going on the show? I know nothing about how press or the TV world works or anything like that. Some people are speculating its cos we got cancelled but like... why would they do a big interview if they just cancelled it? There would be nothing to promote? Oliver just seems not enough of a big name to go on a big talk show and represent 911, surely they'd give that to Angela or Peter.

Oliver has done TV press in the past. It's not abnormal. I'm sure he's just promoting the show. If he was going on a late night show, I could see the "this is really weird", but a daytime show like this isn't out of the ordinary.

The conclusion that this means the show is canceled is absurd imo. This is just general promo. Last season, he did a show like this. That's where my gif set that's making the rounds again came from.

chuck palahniuk is very important to me and my overall favorite author ever he damaged my psyche immeasurably. i read my first ernest hemingway at a very influential time in my life and paulo coelho's work was my religion for a while. joyce carol oates and angela carter reworked some of the wiring in my brain.

🗑 How hard is it for you to delete writing that gets cut?

i don't delete shit!! it goes into a "cut snippets" page and eventually, i'll cannibalize it for a different writing project. so, i guess we can say it's extremely difficult for me to cut something 🤡
