Out of all your ocs who would you say was the hardest to design/draw?
I hope this includes OCs outside of Colorquest, because Corbin is definitely the hardest for me right now:
Tumblr media
(That's him for those who don't know)
It's weirdly really hard to find equilibrium for his face, like, if his hair is just a little too high or low, or the strands dont spike out in the specific way that they do, or if his little conture lines are too off... it's just super hard to nail down.
But he's also much newer than a lot of my other OCs, so the struggle is expected ^^;.

oh the broadway world review of summer stock (a) loved it as much or more than anyone (b) has as much or more info than anyone and (c) generally has the most vivacity thus far
Summer Stock made its world premiere at The Goodspeed Opera House to a most deserving enthusiastic standing ovation. Based on the 1950 MGM film starring Hollywood legends Judy Garland and Gene Kelly, Summer Stock is a spectacular production with phenomenal dancing, feel-good music, and a sweet story, all modernized for today’s audiences.
Audiences will recognize and love hearing classic songs by Irving Berlin and from The Great American Songbook, including “Happy Days are Here Again”, “Accentuate the Positive”, “I’m Always Chasing Rainbows”, “It’s Only a Paper Moon”, “Me and My Shadow”, “Red Hot Mamma”, “’Til We Meet Again", and “You Wonderful You”. Summer Stock’s writer, Cheri Steinkellner, takes the original film story to a whole new level that both contemporary and classic theater goers will absolutely adore. Steinkellner provides additional lyrics to upgrade the story to first class. It’s hard to believe that she “got the call” to write Summer Stock in October, completed the workshop draft by March, and had the rehearsal draft ready by June for a July opening. Steinkellner clearly works well under pressure - Summer Stock is a diamond.
In the Writer’s Notes, Steinkellner elaborates on the restrictions of bringing the film to stage (like how heavy farm machinery wouldn’t fit up on the Goodspeed stage) and how she tackled answering the many questions that the original film glossed over: “Why is a Shakespearean matinee idol starring in a musical in a barn? What happens when you make show-people wake up at sunrise to muck out the stalls?” and more. She repositioned and repurposed the film’s original songs like “Howdy Neighbor” and “Dig for Your Dinner”, so the classic elements that film fans are looking for are still there - only, frankly, much much better. Lastly, she addresses the challenge of “crafting a [contemporary] story to support a diverse cast of characters with intention, authenticity, and care.” Steinkellner rose to the challenge, knocked it out of the park, and created a great musical in record time.
The story is simple and sweet. Set just after World War II, we meet Jane Falbury (Danielle Wade), a doting daughter working the family farm with her father, Lt. Henry “Pop” Falbury (Stephen Lee Anderson). The Falbury Farm is in trouble thanks to the devious and ambitious Margaret Wingate (Veanne Cox), who has grand aims for a monopoly over the Connecticut River Valley. Scheming with her naive son, Orville (Will Roland), they will stop at nothing to own the farm. Meanwhile, Jane’s showgirl sister, Gloria (Arianna Rosario), has moved to The Big Apple to make it on Broadway. She wins a spot in the chorus line of Joe Ross’ (Corbin Bleu) brand new show. With his sidekick and music director, Phil Filmore (Gilbert L. Bailey II) in tow and a Shakespearean star, Montgomery Leach, ready to take center stage, they hit a snag when they lose their rehearsal space. Gloria suggests uprooting the show to rehearse in her family’s barn. Jane, who is fresh out of farm hands, reluctantly agrees to let the actors stay in exchange for earning their keep. The company’s tight harmonies might not charm Jane at first, but they certainly had us swooning. I won’t spoil the entire plot, but will say that hilarity ensues, hearts flutter, dreams are realized, and it’s wonderful.
When I first heard about Summer Stock, I cynically thought that it felt too familiar. The show is set on a Connecticut farm whose owners have fallen on hard times and risk losing their livelihood. They turn to their Broadway friends, who are amidst the usual uphill battle of making it big in show business, and agree to put on a brand new production in the barn to raise funds to save the farm. It’s based on the film of the same name, features music by Irving Berlin, and includes incredible tap numbers, and spotlights America’s sweetheart Corbin Bleu. Hearing that alone, I’d think this was a copy/paste of Tony Award-nominated Holiday Inn: The New Irving Berlin Musical, which opened at The Goodspeed in 2014 and went to Broadway in 2016. We’ve seen a number of Irving Berlin musicals, including White Christmas, and the most recent Broadway production Nice Work if You Can Get It, starring Kelli O’Hara and Matthew Broderick. So, what more is there to add to this Broadway subgenre? If you’d asked me before, I would argue there’s “Nothing More to Say”. I was very wrong. Summer Stock raises the bar with phenomenal choreography, clever storytelling and humor, beautiful orchestrations, and unparalleled performers.
Speaking of unparalleled performers, the cast is perfection. There’s not a single throwaway line or character. They’re all exquisite gems and I’m running out of words to compliment them all. The “city mice” dancers and ensemble features Erika Amato, Hannah Balagot, DeShawn Bowens, Ronnie S. Bowman Jr., Emily Kelly, Francesca Mancuso, Tommy Martinez, Corinne Munsch, Gregory North, Kaylee Olson, Jack Sippel, and Cayel Tregeagle. Danielle Wade sweetly croons just like Judy Garland and swept audiences off their feet. As I left the theater, I overheard two ladies praising Wade for her stupendous performance, saying it was perfect likeness of Garland, yet even more meaningful. Arianna Rosario, as the sugary sweet sister, is absolutely delightful. Stephen Lee Anderson, as  the veteran and father, tugs our heart strings. Gilbert L. Bailey II and Will Roland had the crowd roaring with laughter as the feisty music director and innocent corporate heir. Veanne Cox, as the melodramatic mother and CEO of Wingate Agricultural Corporate, had the crowd roaring with laughter from the moment she spoke her first line. Not to be outdone, J. Anthony Crane, as the over-the-top Shakespearean star, brought down the house with his entrance alone. Together, Cox and Crane generate instant heat, which is especially appropriate since they rock the stage with Red Hot Mamma. The cheeky, interspersed Shakespearean innuendo is fast-paced, clever, and had the audience hooting and hollering. I would see the show again for this duo.
Last, but far from least, Corbin Bleu, as the show’s director, gives the performance of a lifetime. Bleu radiates pure joy and leads with heart, inviting his scene partners to shine with him. Audiences instantly fell in love with his gorgeous, velvety voice, and, understandably, swooned. Bleu previously won the Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Male Dancing in a Broadway Show for his portrayal in Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn, and his transcendent tapping in Summer Stock shows he’s not stopping there. Bleu’s dancing is out of this world! You can’t miss his charming and virtuosic spin on Gene Kelly’s iconic solo dance, featuring the world’s most unexpected dance partner. Corbin Bleu is a national treasure.
The 8-piece orchestra, lead by Goodspeed’s resident music director Adam Souza, performs the remarkable orchestrations, by Doug Besterman, beautifully. The score is demanding, but the musicians don’t let us see them sweat. As much as I’m gushing, I would recommend shifting the show to one hour earlier and give it a little trim. Not a haircutter’s inch, but a discreet tidy-up. As it turns out, I was in slight agreement with the obnoxious subscribers behind me, who disrupted a precious moment to voice their complaints, “This is two hours and forty minutes? Way too long!” I nearly turned to fisticuffs in defense of this phenomenal cast, but chose to deliver an icy, yet effective, glare. I digress, but Goodspeed subscribers are truly spoiled with top-rate performers straight from the Broadway stage. In any case, we could use a couple more developmental scenes to fully flesh out the plot, and I’d be willing to sacrifice by shaving a bit off some of the longer dance numbers (“Everybody Step” and “Dig For Your Dinner”) and songs. (Not too much! Just an inch! And don’t dare recast any characters!)
That isn’t to say that the dance performances weren’t epic: Summer Stock has the best dancing I have ever seen, hands down. The virtuosic ensemble, lovingly called “city mice”, perfectly deliver wildly acrobatic displays all with impossibly high-energy and make it look easy. Director and choreographer, Donna Feore, has made an unforgettable, magnificent Goodspeed debut. Feore makes use of every inch of the stage, making it feel larger than life, and her attention to detail is unsurpassed. The choreography is out of this world! Wilson Chin, scenic designer, set the stage beautifully. The Technicolor New England farm-turned-theater is framed with classic red-sided barn, delicate florals climbing the walls, and hurricane lanterns lovingly displayed as accent pieces. Summer Stock is Goodspeed’s best original production ever. The 12, which opens next, has very big shoes to fill. Summer Stock has its eyes set on Broadway. Does Summer Stock deserve a Broadway run? Absolutely. In this critic’s opinion, it couldn’t get there soon enough.  Perhaps my favorite aspect of the production were the many comedic theater flourishes. Broadway audiences will cry with laughter when they watch the city mice (actors) learn how to play the part of farmhands: “What is the farmer’s motivation?” “E-I, E-I!” Frankly, I want an original cast album yesterday. Finally, when it opens on Broadway, you’ll wish you had seen it at The Goodspeed first.

we got some cast pics of the coming cast this april! super happy about this :]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
first of all, i adore jinkx monsoon's casting already. i did some research and shes a wonderful performer, so im excited to see her bring audrey to life! and while i dont think identity should factor into someones casting, i do genuinely feel that a transfeminine audrey is fantastic. audrey's story really blooms even more when put through a trans lens. glad to have another trans-umbrella audrey to add to the roster of well-known audreys! (also if you havent checked out mj rodriguez, Do That.)
oh, and corbin bleu being back is fantastic as well! hes probably my favorite seymour casting for the off-broadway run, his seymour is such a doll. will never ever complain about his recasting
Tumblr media
and... ok i cant say anything or make assumptions based on one singular photo but from the looks of it, orin will remain out-of-character and butchered as per usual. sigh. i still wanna see his performance so im trying to hunt down someone to commission for a bootleg. even if im not a fan (codeword: despise.) the off-broadway orin portrayal, i still need to keep tabs on the actors for maximum scrutiny. god give you mercy when i get to see your performance, james carpinello.
anyway. if you know anyone getting a slime tutorial of the new april cast, or someone who will let me commission them to get one, Tell Me. Please. okay bye :3

a follow-up to sheep's clothing. your shift may have ended uneventfully, but someone else's nightmare is just beginning.
->featuring corbin. suggestive but not explicit; contains non-con, kidnapping, choking, mentions of drugging, feral behavior
.
.
.
They’ve barely left the club when the human starts screaming. Corbin can’t be sure what sets her off, but he knew she was too lucid. He’d been chatting her up all night and she still hesitated when he offered to give her and Silfast a ride, insisting he didn’t mind, really, it’s not a problem, he’s the designated driver for tonight anyway, and wouldn’t she rather save the thirty bucks she’d have to spend on an Uber otherwise? Just as Corbin pulls out onto the street, she says she’s changed her mind and tries the door handle. Maybe the child lock spooks her, the fact that it won’t budge no matter how many times she tugs at it. Maybe it’s because the werewolf in the backseat with her stopped pretending he’s too drunk to see straight and started trying to wrestle her under him.
“Rope’s under your seat,” Corbin says, glancing in the rearview mirror.
“Thanks,” Silfast says. In the dark space between streetlights, the alpha’s eyes glint like an animal’s. The human makes absolutely feral noises as she twists and flails, trying to buck him off. She bites his fingers the first time he tries to shove the gag in her mouth. Corbin is disappointed he has to keep his eyes on the road. He loves watching. He can hear Silfast’s breathing getting quick and ragged, can just picture his inner wolf panting in anticipation.
The human’s desperate shrieking suddenly cuts off, reduced to throaty hiccups, and heat rushes to Corbin’s groin knowing that Silfast is choking her. Probably one-handed, just to prove a point. One hand is all it takes to keep her pinned. One hand is all he needs to strangle the life out of her if he wanted, to snap those delicate little human bones like twigs. She can heave and scratch and writhe all she wants but this isn’t a fight she can win. Eventually, she’ll learn. They all do.
He can hear when Silfast lets go, the wretched sob that tears out of her as she starts to breathe again. Corbin glances in the mirror again and finds her trembling, compliant, letting Silfast bind her wrists with little more than a whimper.
“Still. We probably should’ve drugged her,” he says casually. It’s very, very hard not to smile when she screeches, struggling anew and nearly kicking out one of his windows.
“Corbin…” Silfast scolds him without any real firmness. He’s smiling, too.
The van’s parked in an empty lot at the edge of town. It’s the same old rustbucket the Evergreen Hollow pack brings to fairs and markets, the leaf silhouette logo of their distillery emblazoned on the side. Corbin’s not surprised to only see a couple wolves still hanging around. Modernization doesn’t make a pack less reclusive overnight. The others were excited but anxious, eager to leave as soon as their alpha made his choice. By the time he’d gotten Silfast and his new human out the door, the line of motorcycles parked behind the club were long gone.
The two that are left stare into Corbin’s headlights with an animalistic mix of apprehension and territorial rage, like they’re genuinely contemplating how best to run him off the road. They don’t relax until their alpha sticks his head out the window and howls, and then they’re all sharp, toothy smiles, howling back.
From there, it’s all smooth sailing. Silfast drags the human out of the car and the other wolves are all over her, touching and tasting and scenting. They trap her between them, one dry humping her ass while the other slips a hand into her pants and tells her all the things they’ll do once they get her home. The human is back to quiet defiance, all tuckered out from her tantrum. She keeps looking at Corbin like she wants him to feel bad but he’s ecstatic. Jealous, even. He winks at her and she looks like she’d spit at him if she could. Corbin paces, stretching his legs one last time before the long drive home. A good time to check in, he figures, scrolling through his unread messages.
“Hey. How’s the hunt?” Druian’s voice is a sonorous rumble that never fails to send a pleasant shiver down Corbin’s spine, even through the staticky interference of a phone call.
“Good,” he says, leaning against the pleasantly cool metal pole of a streetlight. The bulb is old and failing, haloed in moths. “Just finishing up now. I’m leaving soon.” They’re herding the human into the back of the van, or trying to. She’s stubborn. Silfast has a hand on her shoulder as he leans in and whispers something that makes her tear up and shake her head quickly. He spots an oozing wound on the side of her neck. Not a proper claiming bite, but Corbin’s sad he didn’t get to see it happen.
“If you get tired,” Druian says, “pull over and stop. Don’t drive tired.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
“Corbin.”
Corbin’s breath hitches at the sudden steely hardness in Druian’s tone. He softens his voice, his head tilting on reflex as though Druian is standing in front of him, waiting for him to bare his throat. “Sorry. I know, alpha. I won’t drive tired, I promise.”
Druian purrs, “Good boy,” and the praise makes his cock twitch in his jeans. “How many’d Evergreen Hollow take?”
Corbin snorts. “Just one. ‘Quality over quantity,’ Silfast said.”
“Ha! Sounds like him. Well, I’ll let Van know. He’ll probably invite ‘em back next year, just so you know. Wouldn’t be surprised if you get asked to chaperone again.”
“I don’t mind,” Corbin says, hoping he doesn’t sound too eager. Maybe next time somebody else can drive. Maybe next time he’ll get to watch Silfast put a new pack human in their place.
“Speaking of Van…” Druian’s voice lowers in a warning tone. Not of true anger, but something more playful. Corbin can’t fight the smile that works its way across his face. “He was hoping you might pay Linden a visit when you get back. There’s this picture of a human going around that I’m sure you don’t know anything about, but it’s got our friends in the heartland all worked up. Linden’s been snippy about it all night, but…he didn’t say no.”
Corbin just about drops his phone in shock. He can’t believe it. How long has the pack been pushing, gently, delicately, reassuring Linden, trying to convince him that he was their heart and their healer, the gentlest among them, that he deserved another chance? Corbin had only been with Hoarfrost Falls for a short time before the accident, but he remembers the change. How those soft, easy smiles vanished behind an impenetrable wall. How long he spent curled up in the bed they once shared, day after day and night after night, until not a single trace of their scent remained. How the kindest, most accomplished medic he’d ever known suddenly believed he was cursed, that he would destroy any human he touched.
Corbin inhales shakily, suddenly overcome with emotion. The faintest traces of bitterness he felt at losing this human to the territory heartland, to his alpha’s alpha and the grieving pack medic, are drowned out by all-consuming joy.
“They need this,” he says hoarsely.
“They do,” Druian agrees.
A sniffle turns into a muffled wail and Corbin sees the human crumple to her knees on the pavement. The wolves swarm her and push in close with their bodies, comforting her the way they would one of their own with their faces buried against her neck, and they’re making it worse. Silfast pats her head the way one would pet a dog and the poor thing starts to hyperventilate.
“Shit, I gotta go,” Corbin mutters, already moving. “Be back soon. I’ll stop by Linden’s first. See you then.” Druian reminds him one last time to drive safe and hangs up. Corbin tells Silfast and the others to back off for a bit, kneeling beside the new pack human.
“Mina,” he says softly, startling her. She looks up at him with wide, terrified eyes. She must’ve forgotten that she told him her name, or thought he didn’t really care. But he cares. He remembers everything she said, and everything she didn’t, and everything she only hinted at with careful deflection. Her name is Minerva—Mina to her friends. She’s studying veterinary medicine and she likes sci-fi movies. Her relationship with her parents is strained at best. When she laughs really hard, she gets self-conscious and covers her mouth. “Mina, hey. Don’t worry. I know, I know this is scary. I know you think you’re gonna die. You’re not. You’re gonna be fine. You don’t know it yet, but you’re going home.”
She shakes her head and moans pitifully through the gag. Corbin frowns and reaches up to untie it. Silfast watches carefully but doesn’t stop him, and pride blooms in his chest. He’s respected, even by the alpha of a pack he doesn’t belong to, trusted to handle the most delicate matters, the most precious things. He teases apart the fabric knot tied behind Mina’s head and the gag comes loose, the skin around her lips smattered with scabs and scratches. Corbin smooths the pad of his thumb across the irritated marks.
It takes a moment for her to gather herself, to summon her voice again. All she manages is a single word, a thin, frightened whisper. “Why?”
“Because you’re special,” Corbin says, stroking her cheek. “You don’t see it now, but you are. You’ve been so lost, so lonely, and you’ve never known why. It’s because you don’t belong out here with the heartless and the self-serving, the packless. Their relationships are superficial. Their affections are fleeting. They don’t know how to appreciate each other, how to love. You’ll never find happiness in their world.” Corbin pauses, lets the words sink in. He watches a storm of emotions flicker through Mina’s eyes, fear flowing into confusion and betrayal. “I think you already knew that. Didn’t you? You knew you’d never fit in. There’s nothing wrong with you, Mina. There never was. It’s time to go home.”
He beckons Silfast forward with a curl of his fingers. In any other situation, this would be rude, presumptuous, cause to reprimand and discipline—who does he think he is, ordering around an alpha? But here, in the treacherous lands beyond pack territory, no one is more respected, no one is more knowledgeable, and no one is better at handling humans than him. Silfast moves quickly and without question. He drops to a crouch beside Corbin, awaiting further instruction.
“Like this,” Corbin says. He leans in, nuzzles his face against the side of her neck. He breathes deeply. Kisses her pulse. “Like this. Slowly. Show her how much you want her.” Druian’s voice is a constant whisper in the back of his mind, warm and soothing. His alpha is there with him, guiding him, teaching this new pack human that all she has to fear is everything she’s leaving behind.
His mind wanders. He pictures them—the one he wants. The shimmer of freshly spilled alcohol on a black apron. That cute little speedwalk to and from the kitchens, rushing around so eager to please. That smile when you greeted him. Will you break this sweetly? Will you let him in this deep? It won’t be like this, hushed and hurried in a parking lot. Druian will be there, they’ll take their time, lay you down in one of the den rooms and show you what it really means to love and be loved. His heart pounds just thinking about it. He finds himself clutching Mina, his fist twisting up her shirt, and he has to calm himself. Deep breaths. Pull away from her neck and ignore the mark he left on her skin.
Silfast fills the space he leaves, clutching Mina tightly against his chest, each breath filling his lungs with his new pack human’s scent. Mina stares over his shoulder at Corbin with watery eyes. “Why?” she asks again. Corbin feels sorry for her. She doesn’t get it yet. That’s okay. She will. “Why? You—why would you…”
Ah, he thinks. She’s awfully perceptive. Maybe his mock-scenting wasn’t quite right compared to Silfast’s. “Why would I do this, right?” he voices her unasked question, smile widening. “Because it’s a kindness. I’ve been in your shoes and I remember how it felt. I told you already, Mina. We’re special. We’re not like other humans. We’re not packless. This world will never understand us.”
Silfast hoists her into the back of the van. She goes without a fight this time. The other wolves jump in with her, both shifting, one curled up against her back, the other resting his snout in her lap with a contented huff. She pays them no mind. She’s watching Corbin, unblinking, rigid with fear. She stares like she’s afraid something terrible will happen if she takes her eyes off him. She stares until Silfast slams the doors shut.
Silfast noses against Corbin just briefly, not thoroughly enough to leave too much of a scent, and rumbles with gratitude. “Thank you,” the alpha says. “Safe travels home.”
“You, too,” Corbin says. He gets back in his car. The Evergreen Hollow van turns left out of the parking lot and Corbin goes right. He drives past Club Mountainview one last time before he leaves town, daydreaming. It probably won’t be the next time he visits—his alpha’s alpha is meticulous, takes his time vetting and preparing new arrivals—but later, eventually, one of these days, you’ll get in his car, too.
And you’ll never have to go back to this awful place ever again.

1 2 3 The bell rang. I got up and grabbed my new championship belt from the refree and hopped out of the ring, and began walking up the ramp to the gorilla. As soon as I made it through the curtain, I was greeted with congratulations and cheers. My best friends, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan, gave me a big hug and congratulated me as well. After a while of being in the gorilla and celebrating my victory, I decided to head back to my locker room, so I grabbed my championship belt and took off that way.
I walked along the side of the wall, looking down. After a few minutes of walking I heard a noise so I looked up. And when I looked up, I saw something I never wanted to see. It was my best friend Baron Corbin kissing Alexa Bliss. I stood there for a few minutes, feeling tears fill my eyes. I quickly took off running towards my locker room, not looking back. After a few minutes of running, I finally stopped in front of my locker room door, and I quickly went inside. Once I got inside, I threw my championship belt down on the couch while I leaned my head against the door and started crying as if my heart was torn to pieces.
I smiled against the kiss, causing him to do the same. Soon enough, the romantic moment between me and Baron had ended when Baron's best friend Corey Graves caught us flirting. "Oooh love birds," Corey laughed. "Oh shut the hell up, Graves!" Baron responded, causing me to laugh. Corey laughed as well before saying "Well I got to go back out to the arena!" He pulled me and Baron into a group hug after a few seconds he let go of both of us, and Corey walked off. Me and Baron watched as he walked down the hall and around the corner. "Want to come over to my place tonight?" Baron asked. "Of course," I replied smiling, and with that, he leaned in for another kiss.
"Why would he do such a thing?" I asked myself through the cries. Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door. "Y/N, are you in there?" I recognized that voice it was Barons."Yeah!" I replied, stepping back and opening the door. I wiped my eyes so it would look like I wasn't crying. "Y/N, why are you crying?" Baron asked, looking at me very concerned. "It's nothing," I responded quickly before taking a step back away from him. "What's wrong, Y/N? I'm serious. I'm not asking you again." He exclaimed, causing me to sigh "I fucking love you Baron I know it's weird since we're best friends but anyways when I saw you kissing Alexa it broke my heart."
Baron's eyes were wide and instead of answering me back he stepped towards me and pressed his lips against mine in the most passionate kiss. After a few minutes of kissing, He pulled away from the kiss. My eyes fluttered open. "Wha-what was that for?" I stuttered. Looking at him in the eyes. "I love you Y/N I always have!" He said, leaning down and kissing me once more.

Let's dissect EJ and Gina's relationship in S3, episode by episode. Who is at fault for the downfall of their relationship? Is one more at fault than the other? Is EJ, who had just graduated from high school, heading towards college and has had plenty of relationship experience more to blame? Is Gina, the 16 year old (?) going into her junior year, who also happens to be in her very first relationship more to blame? Are they equally at fault? Were too many promises made that were not followed through on/kept? And did the problems that they had in S3 just preview what the future would have looked like for them anyways if the relationship continued.
Ep.1 "Happy Campers":
The gang arrives at the summer camp, including EJ and Gina. They are excited, Gina mentions to Kourtney and Ashlyn that EJ promised the best summer ever (Obviously this promise was made before he knew he was going to have to direct the musical). The group finds out that a documentary is going to be made and EJ gets recruited to fulfil the role as director of the camp musical. This clearly brings a lot of responsibility and pressure on his shoulders. He tells Gina that nothing will ruin their perfect summer even though he was given this responsibility and she says who said anybody would. Ricky immediately shows up on screen right after she says that, so we are lead to believe that it might be him who does but was it actually foreshadowing to EJ possible being the one to ruin it.
Ep.2 "Into the Unknown":
Gina is excited for the musical auditions and is planning on going for a lead role, but Kourtney and Ashlyn think that she is reverting back to her Gina 1.0 days from S1. We get Gina singing the song called “Balance” talking about never going to dim her light or her power and how the real her is going to shine, not the old her or 2.0 her. She also mentions in the song that maybe before she was only half of herself, essentially insinuating that during S2 she wasn’t her true self and was trying to please other people around her instead.  We see Gina get a little jealous of the relationship that EJ has with Val during this episode, but it’s understandable since this is her first relationship and insecurities are going to come out.  Val helps EJ with the casting and takes over that part.  Gina notices that EJ is clearly stressed with having to direct the musical so she tells him that they can take a step back in their relationship if it’s all too much for him, but he reassures her that they are the one thing that he is sure about. This is where EJ starts making assurances or promises that get him in trouble even when Gina gave him an out, understanding that he has a lot on his plate.
Ep.3 “The Woman in the Woods”:
This episode is where we really start to see EJ really struggling with the demanding position as director of the musical, he comes and congratulates Gina on getting a lead role as Anna, but immediately starts spacing out when she starts talking to him.  The group goes on an overnight camping trip that is tradition for the new campers.  Maddox tells EJ that he needs to sing the camp song, and after initially saying no because he has too much work to do because of the musical, he gives in and does it anyway.  I think this is a situation that can be used as an example when it comes to not doing things Gina asked him to do for the future episodes because even though he was busy he still made time for something Maddox asked him to do.  Towards the end of the episode we see EJ in a tent working on the musical and Ricky comes in to ask him about going to see the woman in the woods shrine, followed by Gina also asking him to go but he refuses to do so.  Remember, he had just made time for something Maddox asked him to do, but not his girlfriend.
Ep.4 “No Drama”:
This episode is where EJ and Gina’s relationship really starts to show its cracks.  Gina asks EJ where Corbin Bleu is and EJ in front of everybody basically embarrasses her by asking her why she doesn’t ask her late night hiking buddy Ricky about where he is.  Clearly, EJ felt a certain type of way about her hanging with Ricky even though he was invited by her to go with them.  The big conflict in this episode starts when we find out that Gina’s mom is moving back to Salt Lake and she is all excited because she and EJ will be living close to each other. However, we find out that EJ received a letter from his dad, who wants him to attend his succession school in St. Louis.  EJ’s plan is to not tell Gina about this until he fixes the problem, basically until he can get out of it, he says this directly to the audience.  When he finds a way out of it he will tell her, instead of telling her right away about it, he tells Val instead. Val even says to him that he has a girlfriend to talk about these things with.  We also see EJ apologize to Gina for not going with her and Ricky on the late night hike, Gina tells him that it’s okay and that it would have been more fun with him.  This is the first of 2 or 3 times where Gina forgives him for not being there and understands why but these kind of things start to pile up as the season continues.  At the end of the episode, we get Gina mentioning during movie night that she hates liars and then she finds the letter from EJ’s dad herself.
Ep.5 “The Real Campers of Shallow Lake”:
In this episode, the campers find out that they have to create drama, reality television style for the documentary.  We see that Gina really does feel a certain type of way about EJ’s friendship with Val because she found out at the end of the last episode that Val already knew about the letter EJ received from his dad about moving to St. Louis, yet he didn’t tell her even though she is his girlfriend.  Gina obviously uses this information to be petty in this episode and uses the performance with Ricky as way to make EJ jealous because of how she feels she is being treated.  After the performance she storms out and EJ goes after her.  They have a conversation outside and EJ asks Gina if he has done anything wrong.  Gina doesn’t mention the letter but neither does EJ, so he is clearly sticking with the plan of not telling her until he gets out of it, choosing not to properly communicate. Gina mentions how she feels like they are having two completely different summers and how she thought they would be spending more time together.  EJ tells her that he knows he has been neglecting her, but he promises that tomorrow will be better.  At the end of the episode we get Gina finally letting it out that she knows about St. Louis and she voices her frustration at being lied too.  This hits her especially hard considering how she told EJ that her mom was moving back to Salt Lake and they were going to live closer together so she was excited, yet he let her think everything was going to be perfect because he chose not to mention the letter to her.  She mentions how EJ is acting like an old version of himself by not telling her things, maybe referencing how he was in his relationship with Nini.
Ep.6 “Color War”:
Maddox and Gina open this episode discussing family problems/relationships with their brothers, EJ walks in wanting to speak with Gina.  EJ tells Gina that he is working on making sure the musical is perfect, he mentions he has a plan (we found out last episode at the end that he made a phone call).  Gina tells EJ that her reason for being mad/upset with him doesn’t have anything to do with the show being good or not, it isn’t about that.  Clearly, Gina’s problem is that EJ was making her feel like he was keeping things from her, like the letter and not telling her about it, but also just not spending time with her.  EJ hears what she is saying when she says that this whole conflict isn’t about the show being perfect and he tells her that putting on a good show means he can convince his dad to let him stay in Salt Lake with her.  Gina, who is feeling like they haven’t spent any real time together at camp doesn’t even want to talk about the future in that moment.  All she wants is to win color war together with EJ, have a win together, spend time together and he promises her that they will.  Once again, this is another promise that he makes to Gina.  We find out that EJ called Ms. Jenn to help with pointers on how to direct a show.  Ms. Jenn’s arrival pulls EJ away from Color War, yet he still promised Gina he would be there for her even though he knew Ms. Jenn would be coming.  We see Gina at the basketball court with Ricky practicing her shot, she mentions to him how badly she wants to win and especially win with EJ but he is nowhere to be found when she hits the winning shot.  At the end of the episode we see Gina ask Ricky to help her with something and it turns out to be a prom proposal to the camps dance.  EJ tells Gina that no dates are allowed to the dance because of the camps rule so that nobody gets hurt if they don’t have a date, so he turns Gina down.  Obviously, EJ isn’t at fault for this because it’s the rules of the camp so they can’t go together officially.
Ep.7 “Camp Prom”
We see Ashlyn, Kourtney and Gina getting ready for camp prom at the beginning of the episode.  Ashlyn asks Gina how she is doing about not being able to go with EJ and Gina mentions that even though it has felt like he has been ignoring her during camp, she is excited because he promised her that he would dance with her or save the last dance for her.  This is once again an example of EJ making a promise to Gina.  The gang is all at the dance and we see that EJ is still going through his binder for the show, asking people about their lines.  While Ricky and Kourtney are talking we see EJ come up to them and ask what Ricky is doing, he mentions that he is trying to become a super hero for his bucket list.  While EJ is talking to Ricky and Kourtney we see Gina join the group and ask EJ to dance but he tells her to wait as he is still asking people for their lines for the show, we see him ask Kourtney for a specific line. We can see that Gina is upset when she asks EJ to dance but he tells her that he will once he is finished giving out the prompts for the show, remember he promised her he would dance with her. Gina is clearly feeling deflated when EJ doesn’t dance with her and realizes that his distractions have made their differences apparent.  She tells him that he missed the last dance and tells him that he has made her feel like a maybe all summer, which results in her breaking up with him.
EJ obviously was given an extremely tough task with having to direct the musical for the show, that wasn’t his fault.  Gina was sympathetic to this seeing how she even gave EJ an out by saying if directing the show and being with her was too much they could take a step back so he wouldn’t be as stressed.  EJ reassured Gina that he could do both, direct the show and be with her (Promise 1).  EJ didn’t tell Gina about the letter yet she forgave him for that, she just wanted to win with him at color war and he promised they would (Promise 2) yet he wasn’t there for her big win.  Gina’s bummed about not being able to go to the dance together with EJ but he promises that he would dance with her (Promise 3), yet he doesn’t.  So yes, EJ was busy with directing the show but very early on Gina was understanding of that, suggesting that they even take a step back so that he could focus on the show but he kept making Gina promises the whole time that he never kept.  All these promises not being kept may seem to be a silly reason for Gina to end things with EJ for some people, but it’s the accumulation of promises made that were not acted on that ultimately became too much for Gina.  For people to put more blame on a 16 old girl in her first relationship is crazy too me.  She said that EJ made her feel like a maybe, and people say that she was never a maybe to him but he certainly made her feel like that.  Her feelings are valid.  EJ made promises all camp and never followed through on any of them yet Gina kept trying until she had enough.  Remember this is a girl who has been told things all her life by her mother, yet her mother never followed through on anything she said.  Actions mean more to Gina than words, and EJ was saying he was going to do this and that with her yet never followed those words up with actions.
I would advise people to re-watch season 3 because it really helps to see just how this relationship broke down and how they were doomed from the start.  I feel like people forgot things or didn’t notice things during season 3 especially because it was a weekly release.  I am always so surprised when I see people in the fandom put most if not all of the blame on Gina....... really?

i haven’t seen the entire show so i haven’t checked what everyone is saying about it in fear of getting spoiled.
but does it feel odd to anyone else? the characters, the relationships, the arcs, the dialogues, the situations… they all feel so much more unnatural than before, and the realisticness that it had in the first two seasons was one of my favorite things about the show.
i mean sure, they had dance-offs or musical numbers out of nowhere. but they also had Gina having a weird idea about fake dating EJ which didn’t make sense but it sort of brought some sense of truth to the character, or nini having to write a song that was never gonna end up in the show anyway, or ricky singing bet on it in his room in front of big red and being super cringey and cute at the same time; and they were worried about who played the lead in the musical, not about mrs. darbus’ monologue in high school musical 4. (call me a bitch but the corbin, monique, lucas, etc. situation feels SO UNNECESSARY)
and i understand shows evolve and can’t stay the same forever, but that doesn’t mean you have to get rid of what gave the show relatability. and that was the characters, and their emotions, their personalities, the fact that they weren’t all just a two-dimensional version of what they started as. and definitely not some gen x/millenial writer trying to give them gen z dialogues to make them relatable instead of real life, common people, high school student problems.
i swear to god they were nailing it through seasons 1 - 2. and then everything got so rushed. (they added great stuff tho! like ashlyn’s sexuality’s exploration, and kourtney’s anxiety and being Elsa on the show?! i’m immensely proud of a lot of things they introduced)
it feels like they are trying to kick seb and big red off the show? and they’re making drama with miss jenn and mike just for the sake of it? i don’t know. it’s weird. i miss when i enjoyed the show and didn’t cringe every ten seconds.
maybe i’m a hater. maybe i should go out and get some sunshine, or maybe i’m right, who knows? that’s all i have to say for now, i’ll be back when i finish the show.

I understand why Ricky and Gina shippers are convinced S3 will be a romantic exploration for their ship b/c so many of the newest sneak peeks may suggest this (and the fact they've been content starved since 2.06. I get it. I do😅). However, I can't stop thinking about this moment:
Tumblr media
Do y'all see how happy and playful Ricky is with EJ here? If you told S1 EJ and Ricky they'd be having a pillow fight someday they would have laughed in your face!😂 I just love how far they've come from where they started on the show. I would never claim that Ricky and EJ are the best of friends, because I don't believe that to be true, but you can't deny that they certainly started to really become friends by S2, esp 2.10 when Ricky tried to be there for EJ by helping him solve his problem. EJ seems to be wearing the same jacket from the trailer when he and Gina have what looks like another heart to heart (where he says he's "freaking out"). I believe that's 3.03, where Ricky and Gina go on a “spooky adventure” (or something like that). The very fact that Ricky is behaving this playfully with someone who he used to consider an enemy is major. In S1, Ricky very obviously tried to put a wedge between Nini and EJ b/c he wanted Ejini to break up so that he could get back t/g with her. Two seasons later, and what looks like could be the most fun he's had in a long time, I get the feeling Ricky isn't gonna try to cause intentional drama for Portwell. I actually think the fictional Corbin Bleu's character is going to cause more intentional drama this season for the Wildcats, including PW in 3.04/3.05 (I think those are the episodes):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you see how satisfied Corbin looks at whatever drama is unfolding? I think he really wants his documentary to be juicy and drama-filled, hence Ricky seemingly storming off out of rehearsals, and EJ following after him while Ashlyn looks worried about what she's seeing. Channing is clearly following all the drama with his camera, which makes me think Corbin intentionally pushed some buttons for Gina, EJ, and Ricky, but again, it's not Ricky intentionally trying to come between PW. I think this scene may follow the above:
Tumblr media
You see how EJ initially looks happy as he approaches Ricky, then his smile drops when he sees Gicky playing around with that paper? I think it's possible he walked out after Ricky to try to comfort him after some drama Corbin started, but then he sees this scene play out in front of him, and maybe something (an insecurity, for example🤔) Corbin touched on earlier in the rehearsal space affects EJ in this moment. I think this might be Ricky just continuing to have fun during his summer, not trying to cause problems b/t PW. He and Gina are friends again, which puts them in a good place (which I was hoping for after S2😔). This might be Ricky just having fun with his friends, like with EJ in that pillow fight LOL 🤣but EJ misinterprets what he sees. Again, his girlfriend and the guy she used to have feelings for are playing romantic leads. EJ might be afraid history will repeat itself, but I doubt it. I feel S3 will have a diff outcome...*cough cough* Portwell Love Confession *cough cough*😉
Also, let’s stop acting like EJ will do anything to ruin his relationship with Gina (jealousy rising or otherwise). 🤦🏽‍♀️Did we forget what Gina said about him in 2.08? Let me remind you:
Tumblr media
Y'all really going to tell me this don't sound like foreshadowing for their journey in S3? Just like Mitchie in Camp Rock 2 and Troy in HSM2, I guarantee you EJ will lose sight of what's really important to him for a bit, before coming back around at the end of the season by doing what's right and remembering his priorities (like his promise for this to be the "best summer ever" in 3.01)). Mitchie and Troy made similar promises at the beginning of their summers to Shane and Gabriella, before conflict rises mid way, then settles/gets resolved again by the end of their summers. That’s my prediction anyway. 🤷🏽‍♀️
(I should be writing up the 6 reports I have due soon, yet here I am. The power of Portwell. 😅 )

Can you do a King (Baron) Corbin or Lone Wolf Baron Corbin that is spicy with CNC (consensual non consent), primal, or the Dom/sub genre?
Yes! YES TO ALL 😫💦 Always up for some primal CNC about my faves (Because they all give off these vibes. Those who know... know). You shall receive spicy smutty smut CNC! 💖 With the Lone Wolf, because... BECAUSE!
Warning: Con Non-Con, if you are sensitive you really shouldn't read this
** Headcanon **
NSFW below the cut (18+ readers only)
Tumblr media
"Look at me, slut!"
Baron growls as he tightens the grip he has on your face
One large palm covers your mouth, fingers digging in your cheek, while he holds a fistful of your hair with the other hand
He forces your head back so you have to look up into these wild, dark orbs
A quivering, dangerous, black darkness
The lone wolf snarls through gritted teeth and walks you back against the nearest wall
And you twist and pull on his t-shirt, though it wouldn't stop him
Not. One. Bit.
His stength is, without a doubt, a huge turn on for you
Baron removes his hand from your face, just to shove two fingers in your mouth
You let it happen, feeling this overwhelming arousal growing inside of you
There is no time to think or react anyways, because he roughly pushes you on the ground
When you try to crawl away, he captures you by the ankle and pulls you back
"Nuh huh, little slut. You can't run from me..."
The husky tone of his voice makes you shiver
He rips your clothes, not caring at all, and puts one hand on your neck to keep your head against the ground
The two fingers which are still covered in your own saliva are used to slide between your folds
There is nothing romantic about how he rubs and pinches your aching clit
The only purpose is to get you as wet as possible in no time
(And it works)
"Look at that. Soaked from being manhandled. I bet you'll cum in a second,"
Baron smugly laughs as he positions himself behind you, his fully erected cock pressing against your pussy
He fucking mounts you
Hard. Fast. Thrusts.
All while pushing you down and not letting go of your neck
Every time he shoves his cock deep inside you, he grunts like the wolfish man he is
Your knees hurt, but it feels so good
Little stars sparkle behind your eyelids as you cum fast, just as he had said
Baron makes you ride it out real good, before he climaxes as well
He picks you up so quick, you don't even know how it happens, and holds you close against him
Wiping away your tears
Caressing your head
"Are you good, kitten?"
His voice is so different now, and you could drown in it
Drown in him
You nod the head and then smile at him
"I am... do it again..."
"Hm... Okay? ... Run!"

His Mate
Klaus + Caroline
Tumblr media
I do not in anyway shape or form own Tvd/Or TO. Trust me if I did lots of changes would have happened! I don’t own the characters nor the actors that play said characters. just the name Corbin and Henry. Please don’t sue me I’m just doing this for fun thx enjoy!
*° Witches cursed klaus and whoever was his blood in wolf form until he agrees to help take down marcel, they keep trying to convince him that Hayley is carrying his child but he knows it’s not his.
His wolf would have immediately wanted to keep it, to protect it, to care and love for it, but he doesn’t feel anything for the thing that grows inside of her. He’s been spending most of his time in his room but tonight he heard them talking about putting a dagger in his chest.
Rushing down the stairs furious, how dare they think that he couldn’t hear them. Busting through the living room doors snarling at any and everyone. Camille was shocked but she knew normally he would calm down for her.
Walking closer to him as she hold her hand out to touch him, klaus gets even more angry. Camille doesn’t know him or his wolf, she was signing her own death certificate. Pretend to calm down for her seeing her smile, his wolf smirks at her.
Elijah and marcel know that look on his face, “CAMILLE NO!!” Marcel yells as he flashes her out of the way before klaus snapped his jaw shut. He snarls and barks viciously at everyone in the room, stomping his huge paw against the hard wood floor that cracks under pressure.
Elijah wants to reason with his brother about him hearing them talk about putting a special dagger in his chest. Putting his hand up in defense at his brothers snarls and growls “Niklaus it’s not what you think” he try’s to speak calmly because he knows his brother is unpredictable in wolf form.
Klaus’ head snaps in his direction as he lunges towards his brother “I DONT WANT TO HEAR YOUR EXCUSES!!” He growled at his brother for trying to calm him down but he was livid and there was only one person who might have been able to calm him down.
Kol reached in his back pocket for his phone, pressing call on her name. She answered the phone “what kol? Im trying to put the kids down for a nap” she sounded like she was moving frantically around her hotel room. Klaus was too busy snarling to hear her soft angelic voice.
“Daring I need you and the tiny yous to come to the manor, he’s loosing his bloody mind!” She sighed before saying she was on her way with the kids. Kol put his phone back into his pocket before scooting farther back into the corner as his brother stalked forward slowly.
He licked his fangs as he walk towards them in a sinister manner. The was a sudden set of paws coming from behind klaus, his ears perk up as he sniff the air. His wolf knows that smell by heart, he turns around to see a blonde-white wolf standing behind him.
Not yet noticing the tiny little wolves behind her, klaus wolf form doesn’t want to shift back. Instead he lunges at Caroline who swiftly moves out of his way, he lunges again making her move away from her pups. Klaus wasn’t paying attention to the pure white pup under his paw that he steps on him.
Henry lets out a fierce yelp as he whines from his father stepping on him, Caroline sees Henry crying out In pain and her wolf snaps. She picks him up by his torso before moving him behind her. Letting the anger come out she jumps onto klaus as he falls onto his back. Klaus had just noticed that he stepped on the pup, she’s standing over him in all of her glory.
Snarling angrily at him “YOU JUST STEPPED ON MY SON, CALM THE FUCK DOWN! OR ILL KILL YOU MYSELF!” Her eyes glowing a crimson blue color as she has her paw on his chest keeping him on the ground. His wolf submits to her command as he calms down, realization hits him.
Only a male alphas mate can command the male to listen and have no rebuttal from him. She moves away from him as she goes to check on Henry who was playing with his uncle Kol. Nudging him with her nose as he jumps away from his tackled uncle towards his momma.
She licks his fur as a kiss “are you alright baby?” He rubs up against her front legs before kissing her nose “yes momma, I strong boy!” He turns back to his uncle who had just pulled his tail, Henry shakes his little butt before pouncing on top of his uncle. Klaus had gotten up as he sat down trying to understand what Caroline meant by her son.
A tiny little grey-brown pup trots over to him, he looks down at the pup with his head tilted. The pup rubs up against his legs, klaus leans down to give it a nudge. The pup nips at his nose before rubbing her head against his nose, he doesn’t know why but his wolf licks the pups head.
The pups tail wags as she nestled in between his large front legs “my papa!” Caroline looks at Lizzie who found her way towards her daddy and a comfortable spot between his legs. Noticing her smallest baby hiding behind the couch she goes over towards him.
Licking all over his face and head as he rubs up against her nose and legs. Corbin was a shy little boy so he would always hide behind other bigger objects as a protective act. She picks him up by his jet black fur and walks over towards his dad who’s cleaning Lizzie’s head.
Klaus was laid on his stomach with Lizzie in between his front legs, near his neck as she snuggled into him. Caroline lays beside him as she sits Corbin down and pushes him towards klaus who looks his little way.
Seeing how the little pup has the same color fur as him, he picks him as while he squirms under his fathers soft teeth. Klaus puts him down beside his sister who snuggled her littlest brother, he licks Corbin’s head getting a soft nose kiss in return.
Corbin snuggles his dad as him and his sister close their eyes, seeing how it was past their nap time anyways. Caroline rubs her head under klaus chin as he closes his eyes rubs the top of her head. “Yes they are yours!” She whispered in her head knowing he would hear her.
Henry looked over at his momma and papa snuggling his siblings and he wanted a part of the snuggles. Nipping at his uncle lijah once more before trotting over to his momma, Caroline noticed him and perked her ears up tilting her head.
Making his way in front of his momma as he trots in a circle before plopping down in between her legs up against her neck. Caroline licks all over his pure white fur as he starts to fall asleep, he may have been a little goofball but he loved his naps.
Everyone was relieved that klaus was now calm and happy, Camille was hurt that klaus hadn’t calmed down for her but they way he was around the blonde-white coated wolf let her know that he loved her. Rebekah and kol were happy that they secret was finally out in the open.
Their brother had three kids who adored him, now all they had to deal with was Hayley. Elijah was surprised but content that his brother had other children and another wolf in his life. Marcel was quiet he didn’t know what to think or say he just watched klaus be calm and loving towards his pups and the female wolf.
Camille couldn’t take it anymore she wanted to know why klaus tried to kill her and why he was snuggled up with some blonde wolf. “What is he doing? Why did he try to bite me?” She asked everyone but they were too busy watching the adorable scene in front of them.
Camille was about to go up to the blonde wolf but Elijah stoped her by grabbing her arm “Camille it would be best if didn’t try that. As you can see my brother is very protective over his mate and pups, so going near them uninvited could get you killed. Me nor my siblings would be able to help you!” As always Elijah spoke calmly before letting go of Camille who was shocked to say the least.
Elijah had said Klaus’ Mate. Meaning he was basically married to the blonde wolf and he loved her more than she thought he did for herself. Blinking away the tears she steps back and crosses her arms not saying another word.
Everyone watched as klaus, his pups, and Caroline laid on the ground napping peacefully together. Nobody dared to bother them or to say anything, it was a beautiful scene to see klaus calm and gentle with his pups and Caroline.
Elijah may have thought that they child Hayley carried was his brothers redemption, but seeing him and his three pups along with Caroline made his understand. Caroline was his brothers Mate and she along with her kids were his brothers redemption.

luck be a (leading) lady | part 11.
[Posted 2022.09.29]
Summary: Y/N has always been a background character. That’s just life for some folks isn’t it? But what if she’s determined to not just be another member in the ensemble? What if someone helps her step into the spotlight in her own special way?
Warnings for the Series: a teeny bit of angst but mainly fluff, slow burn
Pairing: ricky bowen x black!reader
Word Count: 3.0k
A/N: I’m thinking 3 or 4 parts left after this. It won’t go much further in the story than when Ricky and the reader actually get together.
A/N II: My writing style in this isn’t my favorite but I never realized how hard it would be to do hsmtmts as a series fic. I still love the plot though so I’m going to see it through but serious thank you to all the readers that enjoy this story because I’m honestly not sure about my own writing here.
Previous Part | (Series Masterlist)
Tumblr media
“EJ, care to share why we aren’t in a stretch circle right now?” Kourtney asked through a yawn.
“Corbin and Channing need more.”
“More?”
“Just some reality style juice to bring everything to life.”
“What EJ means is that the docuseries and the musical are getting canceled if we don’t bring some pettiness to our performances,” Carlos explained. “So the three of us spent all night, and well into six am, making a plan. I present the RCOSL.”
“What?” Ashlyn just stared at the first posterboard in confusion.
“The Real Campers of Shallow Lake? I thought that was pretty self-explanatory.”
“Look, it’s easy,” EJ encouraged. “You know how as real people we pick up on social cues and other people’s feelings?”
“Do we?” Gina asked pointedly.
Carlos cut in after EJ faltered. “Anyway, forget being nice. Think of the three Bs. Bombshells, betrayals, and bitch slaps.”
“Look I love the real housewives but we’re students not millionaires. We have no money to burn or kids to blame, so how are we pulling this off?” Kourtney asked.
Jett leaned back in his seat. “Can I be Team Kourtney on this one?”
Carlos sighed and showed the next posterboard. “Here’s how. Everyone needs roles and we’ve already taken the liberty of assigning them. Play your part to a T.”
No one was quite sure about the plan but if it saved the show then they would consider it. Although, they were starting to wonder how much of these roles were completely made up. Some seemed a bit personal. The judgy one, the jilted ex, the one with a dark past, the crier, the one who's here for the wrong reasons, the one the audience pities, the one with a catchphrase, the shrink, the bad boy, and the instigator.
“It’s a formula and the formula works,” Val said with a nod.
“Isn’t this a little tawdry?” Kourtney asked.
“I was going to say the exact same thing,” Jett spoke up from behind Kourtney.
“And that is why, Kourt, you get to be the judgy one,” Carlos said.
Val slapped Kourt’s picture up on the board underneath the label that read judgy. Everyone else started getting parts assigned. Jilted ex— Ricky. Dark past— Ashlyn. Crier— Maddox. Wrong reasons— EJ. Pitiful one— You. Catchphrase— Gina. Shrink— Val. Bad boy— Jett. Instigator— Carlos. Everyone else could pick who they would stick by throughout the show.
Ricky and Gina looked at each other. Gina raised her hand. “Um, is giving Y/N the role of being the one the audience pities a good idea?”
“Of course,” Carlos said. “She doesn’t even have to act, it limits risks of everyone messing up the less actors we have. It’s why I’m the instigator. And Val’s the shrink because she’s a psych major.”
“Oh, good, so we aren’t stretching for these parts,” Kourtney said.
Carlos pointed at her. “Good. I want a lot more of that energy today.”
“Wait, why is it less risk?” Gina was focused on that part.
“Because her social anxiety and the fact that she never gets the lead despite having enough talent is the perfect thing for the audience to root for.”
Ricky sat up. “Dude, that’s not cool.”
“People have to be exploited, Ricky. Why do you think you’re the jilted ex?”
“I’m not jilted.”
“But you are an ex, just play it up.”
Ricky’s nostrils flared slightly but he dropped it. Everyone started to get a bit excited about the idea, mainly Ashlyn and some of the ensemble. It was just another role. Besides, everyone knew that reality tv wasn’t all that real. They listened to their four goals for the day. Cry, Slap, Throw a drink, Get caught saying something scandalous on a hot mic. Aside from the drink throwing, it seemed easy enough. Even the drink wouldn’t be too bad— they just had to find a scenario that called for drink throwing. Carlos had already organized how the slap would be done. At some point they’d have an exercise on fake slapping for theater and someone would just “accidentally” hit someone else. It was brilliant. Now, they just needed to figure out who was willing to take a handprint to the cheek for the team.
They were all working on slaps and other things while waiting for Corbin and Channing. Maddox and Ashlyn were backstage trying to figure out a way to make Maddox cry. She wasn’t someone who could just turn on the tears. Nothing Ashlyn was suggesting even made her think about crying. Carlos walked by.
“We’ll work out the kinks… I know! You two are in love with the same boy. How about…” He looked around. “Oh, Jett! Perfect, everyone loves a bad boy. You both are in love with Jett but he’s obviously in a relationship with Y/N— But he’s looking at Kourtney. We get a love triangle and a potential cheating scandal all in one. We might actually be better than the housewives.”
“Jett? Oh, God, no,” Maddox protested but Ashlyn was so in.
“Oh, God, yes. It makes sense that I, with a dark past, would be attracted to the bad boy.”
Carlos called Jett over to explain. “Jett, do you know Maddox? She has the hots for you.”
A mix between a laugh and a scoff escaped his mouth. Before he could protest, Carlos held up a hand.
“And so does Ashlyn. But you have the hots for Kourtney which creates a problem and is the source of mega angst in your relationship with Y/N.”
“Woah, we are not d—”
“Channing is here!” EJ yelled. “Let’s practice Kristoff and Anna first so we can get some good ex stuff with Ricky and then we’ll move into Young Anna and Elsa for Carlos’ diva moment.”
Carlos left before Jett or Maddox could protest about his idea. They both looked at each other and shuddered before getting to where they were supposed to be for the camera. You could feel the tension when you finally made it to The Barn for rehearsal. Everything started to go wrong as Alex and Emmy rehearsed the scene where Young Anna and Young Elsa created Olaf for the first time. Carlos had started complaining and the two girls who you watched be friends were suddenly at each other’s throats about who was in charge of the snow.
“Is this supposed to be fake snow?” Carlos complained. “Because it looks like sea salt.”
“Emmy’s the one that grabbed the wrong prop.”
“Me? You’re Elsa, shouldn't you be in charge of all the fake snow?”
You stepped in between the girls. “How about I be in charge of the snow? Remember what you learned as part of the Guppy Troupe.”
“Arguing about the problem doesn’t solve the problem,” the three of you repeated.
“Perfect. So since I’m the Principal Snowflake, I’ll make sure the snow looks better and spread out more. Deal?”
The two girls muttered an “I guess” and stepped aside. Val was waiting to see your dance planned for Anna and Elsa building Olaf. You wanted to make it simple and really highlight the girls since they wouldn’t be onstage for pretty much the rest of the show. You took off the booties protecting your ballet shoes and showed Val. It was really simple. You planned on starting behind Carlos. Emmy would toss snow and then Alex. Since Alex was Young Elsa, you thought that was when you would spring to life. In between the two girls you would do a couple of balancés to grab each bucket.
“And then just simple soutenus as I throw snow, maybe a pique when I toss the buckets off stage to Maddie. Oh and all in demi pointe since Elsa’s powers aren’t very developed yet, so I wanted to use my standard ballet slippers instead of pointe for the first bit.”
“That sounds decent,” Val said.
“Decent? That’s what she came up with? That’s it?”
Your eyebrows knitted together as you looked between Carlos and Val. Was the routine that bad? It wasn’t the top of your skill set but that was the point. They knew that. They had seen your work before… Well, they hadn’t. No one showed up to watch you in The Nutcracker and you weren’t sure they ever bothered to watch the performance video of it. Maybe they did think this was the best you could do. You felt your breathing start to get a bit shallow. Ricky closed his script, putting his focus on you.
“Carlos, I said it was decent. Decent means we have time to workshop it. The rest of the routines aren’t like this are they?”
“You think Clara could put together something better.”
“I-I wanted the girls to sh-shine so—”
“Then what’s the point of having a principal snowflake? And where were you earlier? We had to push this scene back you know, we did Ricky and Gina song first. It’s not even close to the top of the show.”
“I told EJ.” You gestured feebly to the director. “I was working on the dances and I had an audition fo—”
“An audition?” Carlos looked around you to focus on Val. “She isn’t even focused on our show.”
“Carlos,” Ricky cut in.
“Were you doing something else, Y/N?” Val asked you.
You stuttered through another sentence about EJ knowing.
“Are you always this unfocused because we can talk about it some other time but right now the show is our priority.”
“She’s always like this,” Carlos added. “Not to be an instigator but that’s why she’s never been more than principal dancer. Her talent is probably the best but she thinks she’s better than everyone just because she’s gone pro.”
He said the last bit in an exaggerated stage whisper. EJ winked at Carlos and Val, knowing Channing’s camera wouldn’t catch him in frame. This was going great. You could feel your face get hot as it got harder to take a proper breath. Ricky watched your fingers tremble as you tried to clasp your hands together. You took a couple steps backwards when the tears started. Both Jett and Ricky moved towards you— Ricky reaching first— to stop you from accidentally falling off the stage.
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Ricky barely got the words out before Jett was moving him out the way.
“Don’t bother her more. Y/N/N, look at me.” Jett held your shoulders. “We’re going outside now, okay?”
You hit at your chest.
“We can breathe better outside.”
You followed Jett’s lead to stand on the porch of the barn. Inside, they were still rolling with the scenario. Ashlyn turned to Maddox.
“Doesn’t it suck that he went to go help her? I mean I guess that’s his girlfriend and all.”
“They aren’t dating!” Maddox blurted out.
“We can only dream, Gadget, can—”
“She’s our cousin!”
“I k— wait, what? Our cousin, you and Jett…”
“Are siblings, yes! He’s the literal worst but he’s still my brother. I never want to date him, oh, and I’m gay.”
Maddox stormed backstage to the props table. She was okay with the reality script just not okay with anyone ever insinuating that she and her brother would be a thing. Channing thought he got enough footage for the day and started to pack up most of his film equipment. He told the cast they needed to take a picture for promo. He’d be back shortly to show them the preview for the documentary to drum up interest in people watching the musical on livestream and also to watch the docuseries when it came out. EJ went to go get you and Jett for the picture. Ricky lit up at hearing Maddox’s words.
“Wait, they’re cousins?”
Even Carlos looked surprised. “My straightdar must be broken. Can we all agree they were definitely the grumpy sunshine trope?”
Everyone nodded their heads. You came walking back in, immediately moving to sit next to Ricky. He was on the edge of the group and you didn’t want to be smushed in between everyone. It felt too claustrophobic at the moment. He wiped at the tear stains to try and make them less visible for the photo. Ricky looked down when you reached for his hand, barely lifting his head in time for the shot. While everyone else was discussing what to do next when Channing returned, Ricky took you outside. You both sat on the bench attached to the barn’s porch.
“Carlos didn’t mean anything.”
“I know, it’s for the reality show. Jett told me.”
“I can’t believe you two are cousins.”
“Of course we are. Why do you think I talk to him and Maddie with no problem? We’ve known each other since diapers.”
“Everyone kind of thought you were dating.”
You gagged. “Jett? Ew, really?”
“You can’t blame us.”
“Yes, I can. Come on, Maddie, Jett, and I are obviously related.”
Ricky raised his eyebrows. “Obviously?”
“Same smiles.”
“When have we ever seen Jett smile?”
“Okay, fair enough,” you said with a laugh.
“Hey, what audition were you talking about?”
“Oh.” You picked at your booties. “For the ballet. Saltwater always holds auditions in summer for the first musical and ballet of the season but most pros are on tour so they can send in videos. Normally I do it in person but they moved up the date this year. I need to send it in by the day of our show or I’m not auditioning.”
“What’s the show?”
“The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.”
“Really? That’s awesome. Are you going for Susan or Lucy?”
“Do I look like I could pull off either? Don’t even think about mentioning Clara again.” You chuckled when Ricky closed his mouth. “I was thinking maybe The White Witch? They showed us the costume designs and part of her solo.”
“Well, whichever one you want. It’ll be perfect. Hey, do you wa—”
“Y/N! Can we talk? Like sister time.” Gina stood in front of you.
You gave Ricky a half-smile but he just brushed it off and encouraged you to go. You walked with Gina through the camp just so she could walk and talk. She was going through a somewhat rough patch with EJ. He was a bit tense this summer. But she was more pissed that he seemed to be confiding in Val instead of her. It wasn’t even jealousy over Val. It was the fact that maybe he didn’t trust her enough to say anything.
“I just didn’t think my summer of firsts would involve my first boyfriend fight. We’re not even fighting. It’s like one-sided confusion.”
“Maybe,” you started to suggest very carefully. “You need a break.”
“What?”
“Not forever. Just until the end of camp? EJ is going through a big transition in his life and it’s very clear what you want and where your boundaries are. It’s not like I’m saying go explore other options. Sometimes, you need alone time to figure out what you really want. You know what you want, G, but maybe he doesn’t? Or maybe he doesn’t know how to get what he wants?”
“You think a break would help?”
“I think if you explained it clearly to him. Who knows, you might not even need the break then? Just talk to EJ, he might not even realize that he’s making you feel this way.”
Gina gave you a hug. “This is why I love sister time. I’m gonna miss staying with you.”
You laughed as you hugged her back. “You act like you’re leaving Salt Lake. It’s just your mom coming back to town, you can still come over for breakfast just like Ricky.”
Ricky went to go figure out something while you talked to Gina. He was pretty sure he saw a little campfire area with almost proper log benches and some bushes. Instead of seeing an empty bench, he saw Jett sitting there.
“How do you always manage to find my hiding spots?”
“Dude, don’t.”
“You okay?” Ricky sat down next to him.
“The blow-up Maddie and I had back there wasn’t even the half of it. She’s seen me as the bad guy for most of her life, she doesn’t think I was playing a role today. Forget it.”
“Why don’t you try to show her you’re sorry? You can’t be all that bad.”
Jett huffed. “I see why you like Y/N, you two have the same blind optimism in people.”
“I don’t l—” Ricky didn’t even bother finishing as Jett walked away.
Carlos passed by. “Is he…”
“Oh, he’s fine. It’s about him and Maddox.”
“Thank goodness. I just found Y/N. I had no idea she didn’t know about the plan, I thought someone would have filled her in.”
“She knows now. And you killed it today.”
“Thanks,” Carlos said with a smile. “So did you. Jilted ex suits you, bro… Oh, oh, I said bro and now you’re probably going to reveal something.”
“It’s possible I wasn’t completely acting. Except I don’t know if I can be a jilted ex if I never got the chance to be an ex.”
Carlos turned his entire body to face Ricky on the bench. “Wait? That wasn’t an act today? You and Gina—”
“Gina? No. We’ve always been just friends.”
“Then who? The only other girl I see you wi— wait, are you gay? Are we talking about EJ, Jett?”
“Close to Jett— I like Y/N. I’ve been trying to be just friends but I’m slowly failing. I think I more than like her. Is that crazy? I couldn’t even say it to Nini but with Y/N... I think I love her, Carlos … What?”
Carlos pointed, with wide eyes, behind Ricky. “I guess that covers the hot mic scandal.”
Ricky looked to see Channing running out of the bushes. He squeezed his eyes shut. Did Channing just catch his confession on tape? This was bad. The entire world was going to hear it. You were going to see it. Ricky had to face the idea that he was going to have to tell you. It would be better for you to hear it from him than from a documentary. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. You had so easily told him about your past crush on him… but you had said it like it was nothing. You got over it but Ricky wasn’t sure he could get over his. He had no clue what he was going to do.

I, decided to actually get involved with another Kirby thing for once :'D
@kirbyoctournament
I think it's only fitting I use a character very dear to me - they started out as a jambastion sona, but quickly evolved into their own character. I'm late to the party but wanna try this out anyways :]
Name: Captain Planck
Ref:
Tumblr media
Calculated personality: Planck is rather outwardly cold, collected, and no nonsense. They often have a sort of "unimpressed" resting expression, and tend to scoff at any display of gushy affection or excitement. This ties into their role as an army captain, as they believe firmly that people who are very emotional can't be good fighters. That being said, they do have strong loyal connections to their crew, and would risk their lives for their close comrades.
However, they are a bit hypocritical, as they have a VERY emotional side. If things start to rapidly deviate from plan, Planck will become frantic, frustrated, and prone to outbursts. They hold a lot of build up resentment that later leads to them turning away from their original position of serving Hyness altogether.
But after Kirby's interference? Planck too learns to heal and grow, and finds new companions in Dreamland. New parts of their personality start to blossom forth - dry humor, compassion, gentleness, and even love. They still retain a lot of their old toughness, so they're not someone to mess with.
Backstory: Back in the days before Void Termina was first sealed, the universe was home to many more ancient and powerful creatures, one of them being a massive dragon found roaming the depths of space. They were known as the "Atomaton", named for the almost robotic route they would take around the nearby galaxies. The Ancients soon learned the dragon was taking routes specifically lining up with a previously unknown magic force called "quantum binding". This never seen before magic they possessed was powerful enough to destroy entire squadrons that attempted to hunt down the Atomaton. Eventually, the dragon was finally bested by the Four Heroes of Yore after it attacked a traveling galactic fleet in it's path. It was sealed away to a realm of its own magic, known as the Quantum Zone.
Years upon years later, after the rise of the Jambandran cult, Lord Hyness would begin to grow strong enough to harness the magic in realms previously undiscovered. While investigating the Quantum Zone's power, he opened a rift out of the realm, releasing the ancient beast inside. But having been in a comatose state for so long, a lot of the Atomaton's magic had left them, transforming them into a less powerful, humanoid form. Amazed by what he had discovered, Hyness ordered the newly-dubbed Planck to serve under him, for their knowledge about the secrets of magic around the universe. They eventually became the leader of three other generals, together becoming known as the Reality Bender mages. This consisted of Callie Burr, the energy general, Harper Oona, the time general, Corbin, the gravity general, and Planck, the quantum general.
Planck served for many years under Hyness, working loyally and tirelessly and helping amass an army for the cult. But Hyness's poor treatment of them and their companions as well as his growing obsession to the Jamba heart and fading care to his armies was leading to resentment for Planck. Eventually, the cult falls after the events of Star Allies, and Hyness, along with his top three generals, seemingly vanish.
Now without a purpose to serve, and craving revenge, Planck amassed the remains of the cult's armies, and began working on a new goal - reopening a rift into the Quantum Zone. They knew if they were able to regain the magic that had left them from their time as an ancient dragon, they would be able to become powerful enough to destroy the universe, fufilling the cult's original goal that Hyness failed to accomplish.
Of course, that wasn't to happen, if Kirby had any say in it.

*From previous chapter*
I woke up to the sound of Baron whispering sweet words in my ear and gently rubbing my shoulder. I rolled over, facing him. "Good morning, beautiful." He said, smiling. "Morning handsome." I replied, raising up off the bed and getting on top of him. "What are you doing?" Baron asked, quite confused. "Nothing. I just want to lay on top of you." I replied, laying down on him and burrying my face in the crook of his neck. "Y/N," Baron said, causing me to l my head. "Yes?" I replied. "Kiss me, please?" He asked with puppy dog eyes, and with that, I raised up and kissed him quite passionately, causing him to moan slightly.
After a few minutes of mine and Baron's hot make out session. I finally got off of him so we could get ready for the day. "You want to take a shower first?" Baron asked. "No, you can." I replied, looking up from my phone. "Okay, who are you texting?" He asked curiously. "Oh, just Paige and Carmella." I replied, showing him the texts. He nodded his head before walking to the bathroom and shutting the door. As soon as I knew he had turned on the shower, I quickly Facetimed Paige and Carmella. "Did you actually fuck him Y/N?" Carmella asked excitedly. "Yes." I replied, smiling, causing Carmella to basically squeal like a child on Christmas day. "You seem a little too excited." Paige said laughing, causing me to laugh as well. After a bit of talking, I finally heard the bathroom door open.
I quickly looked over in the direction of the door, and there stood Baron with a towel wrapped around his waist and his wet hair flowing over his shoulders. "What is it?" Paige asked obviously curious. "Oh, nothing, it's just Baron." I replied. "Can we talk to him?" Paige asked, hopeful. Instead of answering, I signaled Baron to come over to the bed, and with that, he walked over to the bed and sat down next time so Paige and Carmella could see him. "What's up." Baron said. "When are you going to ask out Y/N?" Carmella asked with hope in her eyes. "I dont know." He replied, smiling, causing me to lay my head on his upper arm. "You two are so fucking cute I swear." Carmella squealed once again. "Thanks." Me and Baron said at the same time, causing us to chuckle.
"I got to go." I said, ending the call. I instantly put my phone down on the bed and looked up at Baron, who was smiling. "Baron, I want to be your girlfriend, your wife, and the mother of your kids. I know it's way too early for marriage and kids." I said before sighing and looking at the blanket on the bed. Baron slowly brought his hand up and put it under my chin making me look at him. "Y/N, I want to have that future with you too, but right now, let's just focus on a relationship between us, got that." He said, still keeping eye contact with me. I nodded my head in response, sightly upset with what he said, but I understood the reasoning. "But anyways Y/N will you be my girlfriend?" Baron asked. "Yes," I replied, standing up and getting in between his legs. "What are you doing?" He asked. I said nothing. I just my hands on his chest and pushed him back on the bed.
I slowly got on top of him, and rubbed my clit along along his erection. "Babe, I have to get ready." He said. "Why?" I asked, pouting clearly, not wanting to get off of him. "I have to go to a meet and greet." He said, chuckling. "Oh, can I go?" I asked, getting off of him. "Sure." He replied, getting up and grabbing his clothes and walking back into the bathroom. While he was in the bathroom, I put my pants, bra, and shoes back on. After a few minutes, Baron walked out the bathroom. "You ready?" He asked. I nodded my head in response, and with that, we walked out of his room and down the stairs towards the door.
