After texting a few more times to get her address and other specifics, Sam had started putting together his things in anticipation. Now a day later, all he had to do was pack it into his truck and take off once he finished all his homework for his classes. He made sure to let his roommates know he’d be gone for a while and left. Before he drove out of the driveway though, he gave Bree a heads up text that he was on the way. While they had briefly talked about it before Homecoming, Sam was still surprised when Bree had taken him up on the offer.

And despite having a good time with her at the Homecoming dance, he was admittedly nervous to see her again. They hadn’t been able to hang out or talk much since, but he knew they were both busy doing their own things. At least when it came to this though, Sam wasn’t as nervous. He knew from experience that his photography was good, especially when it came down to stuff like this. 

Sam was already planning shots in his head when he reached Bree’s place. He’d have to double check with her, see what angles she liked best, but he had already formed half a game plan for tonight. Thankfully this should be able to distract him from all the drama going on at home and he was safely away so he didn’t have to worry about Brett’s meddling. The blond managed to carry everything in his arms after he left his truck, barely knocking on the other’s door as he waited to be let in. When he was, he gave Bree a smile as he walked in. “Hey, Bree! You ready for this?”

I lowkey feel like Matt would be with a yapper, I mean if you think about it..

he’s quite quiet and if he was with a quiet girlfriend then the conversations would probably be short

when they did talk a lot it would be behind closed doors when it’s just the two of them

Despite all his talk online, Sam might be a little nervous to meet up with Bree. He also might've changed his outfit for Homecoming in preparation before going Live with Blaine five times, but no one needed to know that, which is why he had it prepared already before changing into it to avoid any questions. He was just glad Blaine seemed to know he needed a pep talk, they always seemed to know what the other needed at times, like an extra sense. So it was no surprise at all to him when Blaine started to talk him up before they separated again to mingle with others at the dance.

“Don’t be nervous, just be you! And maybe don’t overdo it on the McConaughey so much (unless she’s into that!)”

He had no idea if Bree liked McConaughey or not, but in his defense, who didn't like Matthew McConaughey. He only needed to not panic and hope if he did, no weird impressions came out. Sam winced internally as he remembered once breaking out in a Christopher Walken impression at the mall when a cute girl asked for his number. But again in his defense, who didn’t like Christopher Walken, besides that girl apparently… He eyed the punch bowl, but ultimately figured it had to be spiked already at this point (by alcohol or body parts) to try it so the blond took a breath and decided to walk around until he could find the girl.

It didn’t take too long, but once he did he had to stop because wow, she’s really pretty. Not wanting to be caught staring, Sam took out his phone and with it inspiration struck a little. He knew it was probably dumb as hell, but he hoped it was at least charming enough to make her smile. He bet she had a great smile. He searched through his contacts until he found the recently added number and pressed a few more buttons to call it. He began to panic though and prayed it hadn't actually been a fake number and was immediately relieved when the girl pulled out her phone, especially when she didn't seem annoyed and answered the call.

“So, I know you said I could text you whenever, even if it wasn’t about potential work opportunities, but what about calling? Specifically calling to see if you cared to dance?” He stepped into her line of sight with a wave, smiling. At least this way if she said no, all Sam had to do was hang up and walk off then try to drown himself in the punch bowl.
