My hot take is as much as I would have loved seeing Max come back, and as beautifully as I'm sure the actors would have played any scene between them, I think the scene with David actually told us more about the story and characters than any flashback I could think of. (Same with the prospect of seeing Gus and David actually get together — I feel like what doesn't happen in that scene shows us so much more. It would be very nice aesthetically if the intimacy coordinator had turned out to be for Giancarlo Esposito and Reed Diamond, but I don't know what it would tell us, and on this show even the main romantic couple only kiss when it tells us something.)

My issue with Jimmy blowing the 7 years deal isn’t that I didn’t understand the message behind it, I just think the US prison system can fuck off and he deserved to get away with all his non-Howard-related crimes. As a treat.

(Also, I didn’t really want him to be a better person and whatever was wrong with him was funnier, but that’s another issue)

But also, “The name’s McGill. I’m James McGill” hurt me like nothing else could have.

I've read many people saying that the wedding date was the 26th but really I always saw that 06th (0 is quite close to 6 so it seems that we see another number). I think we all decide to asume by majority that it was a 2, but no reliable source confirmed it, so I don't think there was an error when they showed the date again :(

Having read conjecture on the last episodes phone booth scene and whether it flattens kim wexler, I have an alternative.

Its had to be the first time he's heard his actual name in going on 5 years. On top of being whacked back into being Jimmy, Jimmy's crimes come with Sauls. While she likely told Saul to turn himself in, she also told Jimmy to turn himself in for Howards death and that she would already be turning herself in for her hand in his demise. Nothing could upset every version of jimmy/saul/gene more than Kim taking responsibility again.
