I don't know why people keep saying the movie isn't real when the official soundtrack is literally on Spotify

Goncharov 1973
I don’t know why others aren’t talking about it, but the symbolism in Goncharov’s death is so impactful! In the beginning of the movie Goncharov mentions how he hates the rain because it shows that while many people say how much they appreciate and important it is, everyone stays inside to avoid getting caught in it, which makes the world feel lonely. Then, in his final moments, he’s confronting his past actions and realizes that he’s only where he is now because he was scared to be alone in the world. Then even though he has spent his whole life trying to avoid it, he dies alone as it starts to rain...

Okay okay okay... so here's a theory. What if the reason Goncharov 1973 shifts scenes in a really inconsistent way is that we're all watching the movie from the pov of that one ginger cat who's close up we get at the beginning.
The fact that the movie ends with the cat stepping over all the blood, walking away during end credits is even more proof!

I’ve just finished watching Goncharov (1973) and it is without question the. Best. Movie i have ever seen. The acting, the plot, the heart-wrenching ending, the metaphors and deeper meanings hidden in each scene, everything is perfect. I cried many, many tears at the futile attempts to stop the circle of violence and at the beautifully flawed tragic characters. I tell you, watching that movie really opens your eyes to the circles of violence in organized crime and the aftermath of Stalin’s death. Not to mention the homoeroticism, very avant-garde for its time. Just... just go watch it. It’s amazing and you will not be disappointed.

The shot being enveloped by red lighting really symbolized for me how he can't escape violence and always falls back into the cycle of it, the cool green tones were all but swallowed, and with that his fight for stability and connection. It made for quite the striking emotional and visual image.

Who would have guessed, that a film I watched so many times in late 90s with my friends after one of them'd stolen it from a video rental, will end up trending right now. So many good memories. Thank you Martin Scorseise for making Goncharov!

I just rewatched Goncharov 1973 and realised that I never noticed the true meaning behind the scene in the theatre. When Ice Pick Joe admits to Sofia that he never liked anchovies but still ate them anyway and offered them to everyone in a tin - basically a parallel to his relationship with his father - and then Sofia offers him an apple... I'm actually crying this is so sweet.
