#andry goncharov

When I didn't know what Goncharov was, I looked it up; I got a result for a Russian novelist. At this point I concluded Tumblr was being Tumblr and this was another philosophical writer whose works were being rewritten into nihilist fanfiction. I was content with that.
Then I saw this beautiful gif set of a mafia film.
And then I saw that the entirety of Tumblr had gaslighted the rest of the internet that in the 1970s Martin Scorsese made the best mafia film in existence.
This nonexistent film has thousands of fanfictions.
It's a wild ride. Well done.

Can we please not start doing the whole shipping discourse thing over Goncharov? Shipping doesn't have to be about whats in the original script or what the actors or directors intention was. Its for fun! Even though I'm a hard-core Ganchandry shipper and I do kinda think the Katya love triangle was them redirecting. I'm still a filthy multishipper lol. Gonchandry, Katyandry, Katyarov, and hell even Katyandarov are all valid ships. And I see you rairpair shippers making Goncharov x Ice Pick Joe content (sorry dont know the ship name), let your freak flag fly! And if you don't like a ship, just don't interact or block the tag.

Just rewatched Goncharov (1973) and I've gotta say...
My favorite scene has got to be the anchovy scene right after the poker scene, Goncharov and Andrei! I can't even handle it. It's their first scene together just the two of them! And they're just sitting together, just close enough not to be touching, their hands a centimeter apart, I was squealing the whole time! That has got to be my favorite scene in the movie, and Goncharaves line!!
"The hands of time continue to tick, even after the heart ceases to beat"
That is one of the most dead-ass romantic lines I have ever heard!

Does anyone know Katya's actual last name?
I mean we saw her passport onscreen for a good ten seconds, sure, but wasn't it implied that she had forged documents in that scene?
Who is this woman?

What most people don’t know about the scene where Goncharov tells Andrey about his childhood home in the mountains is that it was completely unscripted! The scene was supposed to end after Goncharov threw his arm around Andrey’s shoulders but Scorsese never called cut, and the speech that followed (and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful monologues ever filmed) about how home is a time you can never return to WAS TOTALLY AD LIBBED!

All the stuff about Goncharov is just Tumblr seeing TikTok make up an entire musical based off Ratatouille and going ‘hold my homoerotic beer’.
BeeTeeDubs, team Katya x Sofia for life.

Listen, everything could have been solved if Ice Pick Joe, Goncharov, and Andry just all had gay sex and started a polyamorous relationship
