We did a Thanksgiving meal for my wife’s mom today since she’ll be out of town later this month. The pecan smoked turkey and all the sides turned out great! I used my @meatermade Meater Plus to watch the temps on the bird. It took about three hours at 300 degrees. I seasoned the @honeysucklewhite turkey with @meatchurch Texas Sugar and Gourmet Series Garlic and Herb and cooked to 170 internal. The sides were a tasty stuffing, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes and turkey gravy and @kingshawaiian rolls. Lamb loin chops tonight served with twice baked loaded potatoes and steamed asparagus. Tasty meal! The chops are seasoned with rosemary, basil, salt and pepper. Joetisserie whole chicken served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. This was my maiden voyage on the @kamadojoe Joetisserie. I love how easy it it to use! It went a little longer than I thought and had a temp spike. All good! We all have to learn as we go. I’m excited to what I can do with it. The chicken turned out great! I used the @meatermade Meater Plus to watch the temps. It worked perfectly. This fresh chicken is from a local farm called @pvpoultry and it tasted amazing. We picked it up at @mamajeans_market, a local store close to our house. Skirt steak fajitas tonight! They are made with fresh guacamole, sautéed peppers & onions, pico de gallo and @terrapinridgefarms Spicy Chipotle sauce. Steak night! First off I have to admit that I cooked this a little longer than I wanted. My tomahawk dropped into medium+ on the scale and it’s something that I’ll have to deal with.
