I Want To Feel You From The Inside
-
In the safety of Jay's home, they finally give in to their desires. The desire to touch and kiss and love another man. The need to feel that they're alive swells so large it makes it hard to breathe.
The dynamic comes naturally; Bill takes the lead with his brash personality and over-attentive eyes, and Jay follows each of Bill's words to a T with his naivety, the urge to serve and please too strong to hold back any longer. It's sweet. This is how they were meant to live, fully at each other's will.
"What's the easiest mess to clean?" Bill asks, a bit condescending but full of heat. He lets his hands wander along Jay's lithe arms and up to his neck, caressing the pale, delicate skin. He wonders how easy it would be to leave marks there: bites, bruises, signs that the boy is owned. Bill gently cups his boy's cheek, swiping his thumb over the soft, plush lips that have consumed his every waking thought since they met on that god-forsaken island.
"The one you don't make." Jay mumbles embarrassed and shy, he's pretty sure he knows what Bill is talking about. His tongue peeks past his lips, wetting them, anticipating Bill's thumb to slip past his teeth. And it does, same as it has many times before. The familiar tang of salt and skin floods his mouth as Bill rubs the pad of his thumb back and forth along Jay's tongue, pressing in til Jay's teeth scrape the meat of his hand, forcing saliva to pool and eventually spill, dripping down his wrist.
Despite being older than Bill, Jay clearly doesn't have the level of experience or confidence that Bill does. If he's being honest, he envies the younger man because of it. But that doesn't stop the surge of heat to Jay's belly at the thought of Bill doing as he pleases to him. Surrendering himself and allowing Bill to take and take and take; Jay wishes he was able to let go sooner, let Bill take control.
“That's right, doll. Will you make a mess when you suck my dick?” Maybe he could have phrased it a little lighter, but where's the fun in that when this makes Jay's cheeks flush a bright, petty pink. Bill slips his thumb from his boy's mouth, shining with spit.
“No… I don't think I will…”

Bill Leyden - Blue Jay
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah Bill, my secret favorite minor character. (I say secret favorite, but it's not a secret. He's a delight.)
Bill's daemon has to be as brash and loud as he is, so a blue jay makes a really great fit. Most corvids souls are wily people with a good sense of humor, or at least an enthusiasm for causing some mischief, and Bill majorly fits that role. A blue jay in particular is a great fit, because while a crow or raven might mostly be in it for good hearted fun, blue jays can be mean. Bill doesn't necessarily mean any real harm with a lot of his barbed comments, but he's brash, rude, and definitely into poking fun at people who will give him a good reaction to his teasing. His poking at Kathy is not an attempt to make friends, but rather him smelling blood in the water and thinking it's funny to get the other guy worked up.
Blue jays are loud and aggressive birds, eager to let you know where they are and to back the fuck off from their space. They chase other birds off bird feeders - even imitating hawk calls to scare off other smaller birds! - and steal nests, and will gang up on predators to literally beat and peck them off. Bill is similarly both aggressive and cooperative - he likes hanging out with his buddies and is a fairly solid Marine, but isn't afraid to make his thoughts, feelings, and opinions known, much to the frustration of poor Burgie. Jays are also migratory and thrive just about anywhere, making someone with a blue jay daemon a hardy soul, who isn't afraid of new experiences or taking risks... like riding on the top of a subway car in a stunt that kills your childhood friend. While they aren't incredibly social birds, in that they do fine on their own, they do live in flocks outside of breeding season. Individual birds might choose not to forage with the rest of their flock, so it's not uncommon to see solo jays flying about. Again, Bill likes his buddies and enjoys spending time in a group, but he's not super reliant on them or his family to feel settled and stable. Blue jays do have a fairly structured social hierarchy, with birds trying to assert themselves or submitting to more aggressive members of their flock. Bill is bossy and loud, but ultimately able to be shouted down by Burgie and do as he's told.
Bill's daemon is named Moira, and she likes to fly around and attempt to harass other daemons while Bill goes after their people. They are assholes and I love them.

my love if you are still taking requests could i pls have some hcs on K Company (Sledge, Snafu, Burgin, Leyden, De L'Eau, Ack Ack and Hillbilly) and how they would survive a slasher movie (particularly Scream franchise if you have seen it?) absolutely no pressure if u dont feel inspired or interested in writing this ! x thank uu
I've only seen the first one, tbh, so I'm not as well versed with the whole franchise, but I've seen my fair share of slasher movies, so I think I'll give this a go! But I'll be operating on the idea that they're in a slasher film together, so unfortunately, not all of them are going to survive. Sorry! It might not be exactly what you asked for!
1) Andrew Haldane and Eddie Jones - Oh no they don't make it. In fact, they're the dead girls who haunt the narrative. Particularly Andy. But Eddie, too, because Andy would not be dead if Eddie had not died first. They were each other's greatest happiness, and inevitable doom. Their romance is the tragedy, and sets the stage for all the shit that's about to go down next.
2) Bill Leyden - practical, smart, pragmatic, you'd think he'd survive, but he's too skeptical, you know? But he's too logical. Almost to a fault. At first, he wields it as his own weapon against the fear, but slowly it morphs from weapon to shield. Then slowly, from shield to outright denial, and as the tension rises and rises, he struggles to keep from breaking until, finally, he crumbles beneath it. Not completely, but just enough to give their killer an in. He's not surviving the night, unfortunately.
3) Jay De L'eau - he is though! Jay's surviving! out of pure dumb luck! He's so quiet, so small and so unassuming, that the killer will forget about him until it is too late. He's the last minute save you wouldn't expect, the car that comes crashing against your slasher, sending him several feet away and far enough to buy everybody else some time, or the shadow that brings something heavy down upon the slasher's head, enough to knock him out and pull everybody else to their feet, crying 'Run!'. He's the guy they find at the end, maybe in the post-credits scene, hiding beneath the rubble or tucked away amongst the shadows, safe and traumatized. But generally untouched.
4) RV Burgin - I don't think he's surviving. He wants to get out, no question. But he's not desperate enough to throw people under the bus, and maybe that was his mistake. He stops running because someone tripped. Turns to look back because someone calls out his name, reaches out to him. Or makes it out, but then realizes his is a hollow victory if he can't manage to take his friends out with him, too. Man, he should've just run, but that's not who Burgie is. He might come back in the sequel though, maybe in a post-credits scene added by the producers after the test screening audiences demand that he be alright bc they love the character too much.
5) Merriell Shelton - ok if there's a likely candidate for the 'someone from the original group who was the Slasher all along' character, it's Snaf; turns out he was Ghostface this whole time! but that feels like too much of an out and a little unfair, so I'll just say that he'll make it almost all the way to the end, but he's going to slip up. And it's going to be because he's so tired. He's so afraid under all that anger, but he's just so tired, too, and it only takes one little slip. One little swing too late. But make no mistake, he fights back. He will be remembered very fondly because he fights back, and the tragedy of it lies in how close he was to getting out. He was so close. But not close enough.
6) Eugene Sledge - FINAL GIRL FINAL GIRL FINAL GIRL ENERGY ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? OF COURSE HE'S FINAL GIRL he's standing over the bloody corpse of their tormentor and he's the only one in his right mind to shoot it more than once to make sure it's dead. He's the one whose rage far surpasses that of the slasher. He's the who comes out of this ordeal alive and fully changed, covered in blood, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator, and smoking his pipe at the steps of the house or the entrance of the summer camp; red and blue emergency lights flashing over his face as someone puts a blanket over his shoulders.

oooh, may I ask what 'the boy die in the hill' WIP is about?
Fun fact you and another both asked about WIPs that I had barely started lol, so you encouraged me to write more for them.
The boys who died in the hills is a Pacific fic about K company during the battle of Peleliu. I had watched The Pacific before but didn't really pay attention, so when it came out on Netflix I decided to watch it again, and Holy Cow, did I not pay attention the first time. I had completely accepted my first impressions of each of the men and decided I didn't like it. But, with my rewatch I've really started enjoying it. So, I'm writing this as character practice, and as a way to really absorb what's happening. If my writing has a more poetic/Illiadic style, I am currently reading Helmet for My Pillow and I simply adore Leckie's style.
°° Distant fire from mortars thumped behind me.  Oswalt was rubbing a stick on his teeth, he had an odd habit of cleaning them with an almost methodical brush.  Snafu woke up, uncurling like an animal in its den, then sat up facing the airfield.
He spoke around a cigarette, “The hell you doing? Break this shit down, get ready to move.”  By civilian standards this was quite rude, I knew if I had spoken as such my mother would have been so cross she might even have smacked my shoulder, and admonished me for such behavior. °°

Burgie: I just had a long talk with Leyden and Snaf about hitting and now they're yelling “it’s my turn to perpetuate the cycle of violence” before hitting each other.
