i literally NEVER have ideas for soft soukoku even though it's my favourite thing to read in bsd fics bc alas dazai and chuuya are Like That and don't know how to be normal, but like what if chuuya struggles to sleep bc of his ability? what if it's normally manageable but some big event is giving him nightmares? what if when he has these nightmares, his ability automatically goes haywire and he winds up spending a fortune on repairs for everything he keeps breaking in his room? what if after a few days of sleeplessness he's finally out of it enough to genuinely consider asking dazai for help? what if dazai agrees to use no longer human while chuuya sleeps as a JOKE bc 'awww if you're missing me you can just say so~' but dazai finds it helps with his insomnia just as much? what if chuuya waits for the humiliation he knows is going to come from dazai telling everyone about his moment of weakness, waits for dazai to make him regret it, but it never comes? what if that fragile trust between them that got destroyed when dazai left flickers back to life again in these moments when it's just them in the darkness? what if it becomes a mutual agreement, a very reluctant 'this helps both of us' that neither of them are happy about that slowly grows into something more? something they begin to like? something they perhaps even look forward to? what if-

Ooohhh that’s a good one! But now I’m torn between this, soft, just woke up Dazatsu (possibly Dazatsuya because I love all three? Depends on my mood???), and Dazai deciding that it’s time to harass Atsushi with Tickles. So many choicesss. And!!! Atsushi and Kyouka work together to make him one out of some gems or pretty glass and metal they’ve found and No One can touch it. Of course Dazai would bet Years of his life, he’s just Like That. It never works how he wants it to, of course, and he probably has thousands of years ADDED instead of taken away because of those bets, but still. Atsushi just wants him to Stop because being the Ambassador to the fair folk AND the spirit realm while being an intern is. Tiring. (Nyanon, 2/7)

Dazai please he just wants to sleep. Though, to be fair, since the fae like him, his payments are all things like “a memory someone who hurt you has of you” or “a scar on your body” or “an hour’s worth of exhaustion,” so really, it’s just annoying because the fair folk go to him to complain about Dazai (and also Ranpo). You can’t say that Odasaku’s immediately reaction to Atsushi (and also Kyouka) wouldn’t be “I must adopt them. I feel it in my blood.” The three of them deserve each otherrr. AND ITS SUCH A GOOD BLOG FOR STUFF LIKE THIS I love it so muchhh. Anyways, yeah that sounds like them!!! Though I will say that, because I think Ango still cares about Dazai, the only way I can imagine Dazai going all secret agent is if he insists on it because he thinks he Deserves it. (Nyanon, 4/7)

Alternatively, maybe he and Ango and Oda are actually some secret task force who do infiltrations together? I don’t know, EITHER WAY Dazai would definitely test Atsushi’s story methods with Extreme Prejudice, and his coworkers wanna know where the fuck his techniques come from. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but basically, someone seems to have died, only for the other to come across the “dead” person’s talking Pokémon, who only they can understand (because as it turns out, the Pokémon is the seemingly dead person, and they have a Bond). Cue intense bonding, frantic mystery solving, and the uncovering of experiments. Now, whether or not it’s Dazai or Atsushi who gets turned, I’m not sure... Or maybe neither of them? (Nyanon, 6/7)
