I had the same problem my first two years after getting a supervisory role! You will start to get a sense of when it can wait til tomorrow and when you need to start documenting fuckups that you’re staying late to fix so you can start following up with people. Good luck (I’m 3 years in and last night had my first ‘after hours’ project in about 9 months so if you have support from your mgmt to push change it does get better!!!)

I'm now about 3-ish months in, aaaaand I'm not sure if it's gotten easier, but...it's not AS overwhelming as a few months ago? I'm beginning to set specific tasks for myself, and getting those done as opposed to trying to make EVERYTHING the priority of the hour. Delegating certain things to team members, etc. It's going well, thus far.

There’s also delta dust pesticide which you need a mask to apply but with the right applicator you can blow it into the cracks. Good luck!!!!

Good to know. I probably don’t want to mess with things that can be airborne since I don’t trust myself enough to not somehow blow it in my face somehow, but if it gets worse then I will definitely look more into it because getting bit in your sleep by either ants or whatever is hunting them is a no bueno time.

chasteblowjay: It's disappointing to see kavinsky "woobiefied" bc Maggie put a lot of effort into crafting this character and like yeah there are points where if you examine his arc can make you feel sympathy for him but using that to another over all the other parts of him is ruining the character

honestly people are ruining what a genuinely FANTASTIC character he is by excusing his actions and making him out to be victim instead of villain.

Yes, oh my goodness.  He does have a lot of Francis about him.  And in the plot placement, he’s kind of the Henry to Quentin’s Richard in a lot of ways.  Eliot is just very TSH in general.  Also “longing for the picturesque at all costs” is totally applicable to the Magicians as well.

My friend has an apartment with a garbage disposal & I've never had one. When a bunch of us stayed over I was the first awake early in the morning so I quietly went to make breakfast & I thought I was turning on a light for the counter under the cabinets but it was the disposal. There was no water running so it made an awful sound, shook the counter, scared me and woke everyone up whoops.

Unfortunately I think the answer is no.

I did the thing I hate and made an UNRESEARCHED PURCHASE and stupidly got her a wifi-only tablet which would NOT allow her to sneakily blog at work because she’d still have to use their network and so nwo she’ll either have to return it for a tablet that will work on verizon’s network (the lte version of the one she has won’t, as i just found out) or buy a mifi hotspot to convert a cell signal into a wifi signal and both of these options involve changing our entire cell phone plan because verizon got rid of all of its contracts.

she’s of course not going to want to do any of this and will probably just stick to having wasted 300 bucks on a toy she can’t use the way she originally intended AND IT’S MY FAULT I’M SORRY MOM

Terri ant bait traps are just a mix of borax and sweetener, we get ants in the spring in our porch so we use them religiously. They won’t kill them fast but they will kill them over time. Aside from that, can you seal up the drywall cracks?

Terri ant bait traps my beloved. Yeah, that’s what I’ve been using. It took out the black ants, the sugar ants, and some carpenter ants over the course of a couple of months, but now the red ants have moved in, so they’re next on the list.

And while I would love to just grab some filler putty and go ham on the cracks, I live with my parents, and they can be a bit…particular at times. I don’t have the most freedom to repair things myself if I can’t make it look like nothing happened (I fix what I can otherwise, like bad sanding jobs in the bathroom). So for now, I have to wait until they make a move or I bother them enough to get an okay to make my walls have Dalmatian patches lol.

To me it felt like the ending was unearned. Like it was a good ending and tbh where I figured they'd go but like you said there was so little genuine interaction between them that it felt like the writers knew where they had to get with each character but couldn't execute it fully :/

exactly, i mean, it felt rushed and forced for pretty much all of them, up to the point where in some cases it was just borderline lazy writing. they tried to squeeze it into those 10 episodes and it’s just sad that all those characters didn’t get the chance to have the proper ending they deserved.
