This safe point they’ve finally managed to reach feels like such a breath of fresh air, and at the same time, I know I’m getting close to the end. Matt is heavily signaling that they need ALLIES for this and they Nein are short on people they trust. They aren’t Vox Machina who can call on random people. They work alone, mistrust everyone except the most mistrustful individuals and instead prefer to just take risks. And I love that for them, but I’m also concerned. 

I cannot imagine Yussa or Allura taking active steps to aid. Maybe providing something to help, but personally coming with them? Probably not. 

I’m also just glad Dagen is alright. He’s become such a weirdly paternal figure to the group, it would be such a shame if something happened to him. 

And Essek. I do like Essek returning to the forefront, even though he immediately got a panic attack and bailed when he heard what the hell they needed him for. Which. Is understandable. But also - Caleb is right. When you’re already in that much peril..... what have they got to lose?
