It was a nice time for them as father and daughter to be out like this. Granted he was..lost on the appeal to this. Looking for shells, he’s been a survivor his entire life. Now he was a father and husband living a quiet life. Day after day it seemed more and more surreal as though something or someone was going to rain on their parade soon enough. But, he wasn’t going to be blindsided, not for a minute. If their enemies think for a second that he’d let a day of shell digging let him drop his guard.

Then it happened, Moroha came back quite proud of what she managed to find and it’s here Inuyasha realized that..this is probably what it was all about. Just looking at her, so proud of her find as well. She was happy, and it got Inuyasha to realize that this is his life now, this is truly his life and if it meant no violence and having to see this smile for the rest of his life then he’d live it happily. “That’s a great find kiddo. Keep the shiny ones, I bet your mom will love those.”

She was still learning how to protect herself and he wouldn't blame her at all. In fact, he was proud of her for holding up her own so well. A low class youkai was nothing until they formed a horde and, despite the danger and pressure, they handled it well together. Kagome, however, wasn’t so convinced.

But now, they relaxed and moped under the sacred tree with almost an unnecessary amount of bandages decorating their bodies. Inuyasha delicately scratched his cheek, growling at the nuisance of an itchy patch near his jaw. "Look, your mom's upset so you shouldn't be stressin' her out more," he grumbled as he stood up, “let’s head on back so you can apologize, alright?”

                    Even after the brilliant, shining glow of her power faded, the atmosphere felt a little bit brighter, a little bit lighter. As though wherever the light touched, it cleansed. That wasn’t too far off, but it had been quite some time since Neo Queen Serenity had had to use any of her immense power. It had been so long since the people of Crystal Tokyo had seen what their queen could do. Even so, it was, as always, a spectacle to behold.

                    She lowered her staff slowly, cautiously, almost as though she were waiting for a wisp of something left over to attempt an attack or a retreat, but there was nothing, nothing but bright sunshine where there had once been dark ominous clouds with shapes of creatures writhing within them. Which was certainly new. For Crystal Tokyo at least. She had no doubt that somewhere inside the palace, Mercury’s security programming had began analyzing the mass as soon as it was close enough, so hopefully they would have more answers about just what that was about soon.

        ��           Serenity had an inkling, a tickle of a memory in the back of her mind, but the last time she’d seen anything close to that...

                    Turning back to the young girl after she spoke, Serenity smiled, the memory of her dear friends peering out at her through Moroha’s eyes. Ah, right... In the Feudal Era. That was a long, long time ago.

                 "Mmm. And it’s not really a normal occurrence either,” She replied, “But neither is a swarm of demons in this era.” Her mission as Queen was not just to protect her people, but to protect Crystal Tokyo, and the Earth itself as well. They would have to look into this. In the meantime, it was perhaps a good idea to speak to the girls a bit about just how they were manipulating windows in time. And what else could follow them through them.

With that, the wolf demon looks over his shoulder and at the dark haired girl. A grin on his lips as he quickly grabs hold of her arm and maneuvers her as he always did; and tossed her into the air as he did when she was younger, knowing full well she would land properly.

A lime-hued arc of poison lashes out into the archery training grounds.  It comes within an inch of Moroha’s face. And it knocks the arrow from her bow, sending it hurtling into the air, and landing square between the quarter-demon and her uncle.

Sesshomaru strides toward her with unconcerned ease.  There is the smallest smirk on his face which, to those who know him, speaks of a wry and grudging respect.

(Indeed, the fact that he struck at her, knowing she’d deflect, indicates faith in her fighting skills.)
