I love horrific angst as much as the next person, but I think my boy Danny Fenton deserves a goddamned break. Let him act like a dumb teenager that doesn’t end in some catastrophe. He’s 14, do you have any idea how dorky and stupid 14 year old boys are?

Where’s the guy that finds Phantom listening in on some house party that’s blasting a song at midnight and doing ridiculous head-bangs and air guitars? Danny saying “theoretically could I fly to the moon?” and proceeding to immediately try it. Getting super excited about a new game coming out but Tucker’s asleep so he just starts Vibrating by how fast and excitedly he’s talking about it to the ghost he’s supposed to be fighting. Where’s the parent that searches for their child after a ghost fight, and finds Phantom lazily flying through the streets with their toddler on his head and almost kicking him in the eye twice as he’s slightly panicked searching for the kids family? Doing stupid rituals in the kitchen with Jazz bc thats just how siblings Are, suddenly having Mothman but to the tune of YMCA on repeat in his head and subjecting the other ghosts to it, his mom jokingly calling him a brat and him snarking back “I get it from you”, trying to wriggle on into the sewer along the street corners just to see if he can, etc etc.

I think he deserves to be dumb and have fun, as a treat.
