Maul Monday Update

Completed Page Edition

Ah, yes, the result of using an action figure as reference. But can you sense the Darkside emitting off of that lightsaber? You'd think a simple curved line would be easy. Perspective. I'll work on it 😆

All in all, I did enjoy drawing Maul wearing clothes this time lol. It was a nice change of pace.

The background kinda evolved from the original sketch and took longer to do than it looks though. Duplicate the layer of one shape, move it's center point & rotate and repeat and edit because the spacing was off by a hair but completely noticeable. Phew. But I like it 😊 I like that I chose to adjust the line weight/size.

I hope you're not too disappointed that Maul's covered up his torso. But fear not! The next Darth Maul Coloring Page is the "chest reveal", where Mandalore Maul is pulling aside his very v-neck shirt to show you his chest. And yes, a piercing.

Maul Monday Update

Completed Page Edition

I finished another coloring page!

I mean, yeah, I have been reusing my crystal line art, but I like them! Lol And I hope they are just as fun to color.

My only critique with this is his left hand. But I guess it's one of those things that you have to remind yourself that there is no perfection. It can't be reached. And that is okay. It's okay. And this is for fun, for enjoyment. And quite honestly, great practice of art for me haha.

That being said... I cannot wait to show you the next coloring page 😊 I finally used one of my Maul action figures for a model pose reference 😆 Maul has his clothes on in the next one, sorry 🤣

And...four more pages to go, I think???

Darth Maul Adult Coloring Book Update?!

Firstly, hi 😃, I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to check in and finally give an estimated completion date for the coloring book. (I hope you were sitting down for that 😆)

May. I have been hoping to finish this by the month of May. Though it may (ha, unintentional) be the end of May or early June. Have no fear, I will let you know for sure when the time comes.

Also, thank you thank you thank you ✨❤️

Lol I'm posting this now as opposed to Monday with my usual Maul Monday Update because I didn't want to tell you this news on April Fools Day. That would've been terrible.

Maul Monday Update

Completed Coloring Page Edition

Nightsister magick. I have to get better at it. I guess because I'm just doing squiggles. (😆 I'll just add it to my 'what I can improve on' list)

I'm happier with the way his horns look in this one, so that a bonus. 🙂

A bit of behind the scenes: I think in my original sketch he is supposed to look as if he's in a pool of Nightsister magick. But, to have so much magick line art (I think) would have looked to overwhelming. So, a 'simple' coloring page was created instead.

Only 5 more coloring pages to go! Next, I'll be working on the Darth Maul page where he is looking down at his cybernetics, with a kyber crystal border. And Maul is completely shirtless. Again. Intricate tattoos and cybernetics...may the Force be with me.

Maul Monday Update

Welcome to another pictureless Maul Monday Update ❤️

So here's the scoop: I finished the line art editing for the coloring page of Darth Maul on the throne of Mandalore. AND THEN I discovered, through selecting a layer, that I needed to add line art for the throne's pillow, which has been completed now :)

Going back to a page that I was working on in early January (circa sick!Brandi), I realized that the Maul Force Portrait page needed more editing than I originally thought. AND I completed it! ✨ That comprised of background symbols and pattern line art. I resketched Maul's eyes and ear before completing line art for that. Added and edited more line art before the page was complete. Also, don't laugh to hard, but Maul has nipples in this one for you to color. So, I hope you enjoy that lol

Maul Monday Update

Hi!

I'm still working on the 'final touches' for the last Darth Maul coloring page before moving on. Once this one is complete, I'll most likely work on the 'back view with border' to finalize the sketch until I'm happy with it. And then, do the line art for that coloring page.

So, next Monday's update should include a preview of that page :)

Maul Monday Update

Pattern Page Edition

Phew! Finally :) Welcome back to another addition of Maul Monday for the Darth Maul Adult Coloring Book!

Here is a preview of the last pattern page! The Sith Holocron may be the same, but I had some fun creating the 'burst' effect and shards for the background. It didn't have to be super specific or perfect, and I enjoyed that.

Now, it looks like I only have 10 more pages to go. And out of those, I think there's only one more bare back view of Maul.
