i think the thing i didn’t get the most w/ the new asides was the inside out skit/self-insert thing with the sides. the video was called like “virgil reacts to inside out 2’s anxiety” or smth, right?? so why have a whole ass inside out skit, something that has ALREADY BEEN REFERENCED in the series if not to pad the runtime of the video? that’s my theory at least. without the skit, the video would be 50/50 ad and content.

also patton and remus as sadness and fear was stupid. why wasn’t patton fear?? wasn’t his whole thing religious guilt????

even though it wouldve been lazier, i would much prefer just virgil reacting to the trailer. and/or virgil giving his opinions on inside out anxiety to thomas/another side. the skit was just a bit.. weird. and extremely ooc

it’s me! again! a greek myth nerd! i have thoughts on the hades vid. (this is kind of liveblogging so it’s not entirely coherent)

first off the acting is very much tiktok-y. i think his glasses are fab (i’m a glasses-wearing person so i love when people give their characters glasses <3). ig my main question is what version of hades is this??? disney hades or greek myth hades? because the intro font is from disney’s hercules but this doesn’t seem like that version of hades. script is ok.

myth annoyances (myths are kind of subjective tho so take it with a grain of salt):

it’s “CARE-on” also not “SHARE-on.” just gets on my nerves a little bit.

oop no one goes to heaven or purgatory anymore. because of paperwork?????

orpheus and eurydice are married, not just bf/gf

this is a pet peeve of mine that’s constant - how does hades know about hell?? why is he referencing it if it’s not real?

hi i just sent you an ask and then went back and looked over the picture (i am in fact not proficient in perception) but i think that’s a review?? that he read out??? for rswr??? which is adding a layer?? and also advertising for rswr via roman from sanders sides which i think should be kept much much much more separate. i’m not blaming the person who wrote the review i’m just a little perplexed by thomas’ decision to publish it in this way.

its a form of advertisement for the series, which.. isnt necessarily bad. it could be viewed as a bit lazy, sure, but theres nothing inherently bad about it. if you give a 5 star review, your blorbo reads something you said. but choosing a review that brings up the more popular series, and also a popular ship from said series..? just feels a bit weird

thomas cant seem to decide how separated he wants to keep roleslaying and tss (i know the dm's introduce all the other tss-like characters to the campaign, i dont blame thomas for that). he seems to only bring up tss to either get money or bring attention to roleslaying

have you any thoughts about this? i personally am of the mind of fanon becoming canon but like not even in a real way is kind of ticking me off?

like. cool. canon prinxiety. i like prinxiety. (i prefer analogical but that’s not really relevant here) but also. i’m gonna need you to back up a hot second tommy boy. he is in love with a purple emo? where’s the evidence? where’s the actual canonical repercussions of this? the sides can fall in love with each other? what in the fuck does this mean for anyone else?

and again, there’s the fanon-becomes-canon argument and issue that i personally have resonated more with every day. at this point in both of their characters, i don’t know that a prinxiety relationship would be a healthy or welcome thing rn. they also haven’t interacted with each other upfront in a *hot* second so i have no idea what their vibes are.

anyway, curious to know your thoughts.

he could of chosen any other review. he couldve chosen literally any review that didnt mention prinxiety! but he knows that sanders sides fans give him 75% of his roleslaying views. and he knows a lot of those fans are shippers

i agree with you, prinxiety becoming canon would bring on So Many more issues that i know for a fact thomas would not be able to properly write and execute

i see it less of fanon becoming canon (though, i have no doubt that is also happening), and moreso shaking prinxiety in our faces so we dont become bored, like jingling keys in a babies face. fanders have theorised about ships becoming canon for years now, and it just seems like hes giving us something sanders sides related to talk about
