When you went to pick them up, and Gamzee, so underfed he looked a year younger than Dave, melted into Dave's shadow at the sight of you, you exonerated him of all charges and decided his guardian needed to die.

First request was pale Dirkloz! Some of these I sort of developed a story in my mind of what was going on in the pic and this was one of them. I sort of saw it as Dirk comforting Kurloz without really getting the implications of the whole palerom thing until talking to Dave later who said something along the lines of “grats on your new BF bro” since his infusion of quadrant knowledge thanks to an abundance of time spent with Karkat. But also humans stumbling into pale relationships because their natural human instincts is just something I tend to love in general, so there you go. That sounded way too bloody and religious to be any kind of appropriate love poem. You're 99% positive that it wasn't properly romantic at all. You therefore have no excuse for suddenly being short of breath.

I had a spa night yesterday, which, naturally, meant rereading Diamonds For Princes because it's my happy fic, and this line made me completely enamored with he thought of Bro getting all clowned up and joining Kurloz for a holiday or something (and enjoying himself way more than he thought he would) so I grabbed my sketchbook and shat this out.
