Since you're a Dimiclaude shipper, and since I enjoyed your GW commentary (since I quit GW at chapter 11 lol), I was wondering if maybe you could help me to understand the popularity and appeal of Dimiclaude. I must confess I've been confused by it's popularity since 3H, given that Claude and Dimitri barely interacted in 3H. Sure, Claude did a bit in AM but not much. Dimitri was so unimportant to VW. And now, Hopes has only made me more confused given GW is a mess, even if AG had something.
MY DAY HAS COME.
I should start off by saying this is in no way an attempt to force someone to like a ship they don't like. The whole point of this is to have a mighty good time. I'm gonna go over the big stuff, the small stuff, and then the stuff I've noticed with my own two eyes that isn't highlighted in the story at all, but to me is interesting/fun to think about.
Before I get into the meat of it: It doesn't go over my head, or that of a vast majority of other shippers, that Dimitri and Claude don't have the same screen time as most other ships, who have supports and main-story event interactions that bolster their popularity. But it's the mainline screen time they do have that sort of makes every other little thing great. (For the most part I'm staying away from Hopes because, well. Because.)
I do get what you're saying about Claude having a small role in AM, but that role still stands out pretty starkly when you look at the game as a whole; Dimitri has a whole chapter in his route dedicated to aiding the leader of another faction when the other leaders are any combination of MIA or set to be killed. The other routes just . . . don't have this (unless you want to count saving Rhea in VW, but that was in tandem with taking down the Empire, so--not dedicated). Routes/maps dedicated to killing faction leaders, sure (Enbarr, Tailtean, Fhirdiad, Derdriu), but never going out of your way to save them. Claude's role is small, sure, but for a background character? He becomes pretty important. I mean, it's only because of him that the Kingdom army is allowed to succeed. He distracts Imperial loyalists to allow them through to Myrddin, which is yet another example of them working together/Claude believing in Dimitri's war effort, enough so that exacerbates the Alliance's infighting even further for them to pass peacefully. The Kingdom army ran the marathon, sure, but Claude was their pair of premium running shoes.
That, at least, sets the stage for their dynamic on AM specifically. Dimitri is someone Claude is more than willing to work with during the war. Why? Well, their goals are aligned. And, the game seems keen on telling us one thing:
Claude knows Dimitri more than one would think.
Tumblr media
This seems like an unimportant dialogue choice, because Claude says the same thing regardless of your choice. It arguably would be unimportant, if Claude didn't prove he does, in fact, know Dimitri well within the same conversation:
Tumblr media
This isn't a generic speech; this is someone who knows Dimitri's unfailing and detrimental empathy, and likely the more gritty details of it. This is someone who . . . well. Knows Dimitri. They're not total strangers (they have their moments of familiarity/friendliness in WC, as I'll continue to blab about), and it shows. Boom, a world of fic opens up: did they spend enough time together at school for Claude to have an inkling as to Dimitri's ghosts? Has he kept tabs on the inner workings of the kingdom army the whole time? dimiclaude intrigue: sparked.
And it goes both ways. Dimitri doesn't buy Claude's bullshit for a damn second; he never has.
Tumblr media
Could you argue that Dimitri just reads him wrong? Sure. But that's not in Dimitri's character, and he's the farthest thing from naïve. Add that to his track record of him reading Claude like a flyer advertising the opening of a business (which I go into a little later), and you have a mutual understanding between people who, for a variety of reasons, live behind varying numbers of shields. How did Dimitri come to know Claude's heart that well? dimiclaude interest: ignited.
Claude collects as many facts as are available to him; what he saw told him to place his faith in Dimitri, as both a military leader and a person whose heart is too big for his chest. And, here comes my one mention of Hopes, Dimitri has that same faith in him on Azure Gleam. Do I think it has the same foundation, given that they spent a fraction of their time at Garreg Mach? Nope. But it's sweet, that he's so unendingly confident that Claude will come in in clutch and save the Kingdom's collective ass. And it remains true that they're complementary here, even if they're not as familiar with each other. The idea that a one-man army and Speculation And Distrust Incarnate(TM) would fight back-to-back? That's the tasty shit. Good. This version of dimiclaude is primed for the political allies trope (and arguably ARE the political allies trope, with a little heavier emphasis on it than the potential "high school" sweethearts, or long-distance flirting à la the end of AM, or the tragedy of a post non-AM alternate universe, etc). It isn't as fulfilling as Houses dimiclaude, for a number of reasons, but it is cute. (And as much as it angers me when I think about it Seriously, shout out to the fact that they seem to have a telepathic fuckin link on GW lmao??? "he wants me to do this i know he does i know it" and "he just invaded my country. but somehow i can tell he meant no lasting harm by it/doesn't intend to conquer faerghus" WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO??FGLKJDFG)
Little things about them inside the narrative that make me go insane:
> These tweets showcase that in Japanese, during the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, Dimitri meets Claude's Bullshit(TM) blow for blow; if you don't want to peruse, more than okay. I'll summarize: In the English translation, it got lost a little that Dimitri was impersonating someone who got riled up by what Claude said, rather than actually getting riled up only to realize Claude's intentions partway through. He pretends to get all uppity, and honestly the delivery+the whole interaction is so cute. Frankly, it's really great for great for both of them; Claude isn't unpredictable and unknowable, and Dimitri is a bit of a brat who likes a sprinkle of fun in battles that aren't life or death. The moment is still cute in English, even if it makes english!Dimitri read more straitlaced than his Japanese counterpart.
Tumblr media
Side note but he is SO unbothered when Claude tries this the first time ldfgkjdfg it's no wonder it didn't work at the Battle of the Eagle and Lion either (at least in Japanese). Reads Claude like a book in size 64 font lmao
Tumblr media
> They're the only lords seen talking to each other in an exploration on the weekend, which is one of those piddly little crumbs that means fuck all, but I do think it's cute. (And I point out their positions as route lords because they, as heads of their factions, have the least reason to interact. Dimitri talks about EdeIgard/has scenes with her because Reasons, while she and Claude are caught in a constant loop of "I'm going to make this sly yet cutting comment and you're going to respond with something equally sly and cunning and at the end of it all we're going to kill each other, so." It's just nice that dimiclaude is ally-/friend-coded because the other two lord dynamics are Something.) Lumping into here: the battle for Garreg Mach scene where they fight side by side (fighting together yet again), and the prologue cutscene where they run up together. Could they have been on complete opposite sides of the field and met each other at that exact moment? Yes. Will I choose to believe the other explanation? Always <3 it's part of the fun.
> At Derdriu, Claude tells everyone else they're right on time, but tells Dimitri he's late and snaps at him to hurry up. Seems to me like Dimitri brings out the brat in Claude the way Claude brings out the bitch in Dimitri lgkjdflgkj. Or, if you want to flip it, Claude pretends everything is fine in front of everyone else and Dimitri is the only one he can be honestly frustrated/frazzled with.
> (And on that note, their interaction at Gronder in Japanese pleases me greatly because of how audibly frustrated/angry Claude is and how good those moments are for his character. He's someone who adapts to situations on the fly, and to do that he has to remain calm. It seems Dimitri might just make him lose it more often than most dgldkfjg.)
> Listen I just find this cute as shit
Tumblr media
> Claude gives Dimitri the heirloom of his house; the physical manifestation of his claim to Fódlani lineage is something he trusts in Dimitri's hands, when he could have just left it where it belongs: with House Riegan. For a character whose core revolves around being from more than one place, it's a gift of a pretty hefty emotional weight.
> And on the heels of that, Claude imagines Dimitri in his future, or maybe playing a part in Dimitri's, on the foundation of their shared political goals. It opens them up to a massive, massive world of post-canon fic where the crumbs we got in the game can be tasted and replicated to make a full cake--three tiers, airy buttercream icing, sugar-paste flowers, the works. At that point they would both be kings, and the darkest parts of their lives would be behind them, and the possibility of it is created in the game itself.
Little things (mostly) outside the narrative that make me go insane:
> Dimitri's Crest looks like a star, while Claude's looks like a moon. Given that their motifs are moons (Azure Moon, Paraselene) and stars (Fallen Star, God-Shattering Star) respectively, I allow myself to vibrate when thinking about it.
Tumblr media
> They both grew up in countries that prize combat prowess; peak fic fodder
> Dimitri's Relic-specialized Combat Art, Atrocity, is about doing battle and wrecking everything and anything; Claude's, Fallen Star, is about avoiding combat entirely. Indicative of their fighting styles, and speaks to the aspects of their character that make fitting them together so fun and interesting. Dimitri's impatience+raw strength in combat paired with Claude's pragmaticism+adaptability. It's good shit.
> Dimitri's real-world constellation is Sagittarius; Claude's is Leo. Descendant of the King of Lions with archer stars and the archer who inherits Failnaught having lion stars???? call that star-crossed lo--and i'm pulled off stage. But that leads me to:
> They both hold a certain degree of antagonism toward trusting higher powers meddling in their lives, which makes their focus on either the present or the future well-suited to each other, and intrinsic parts of their characters. Star-crossed by accident, but the greatest part is that they choose to come together a number of times.
> Their messy, messy relationships with their family, and apparently they can relate to having their family members actively try to kill them lmao ???
/
The appeal to me, at the end of the day, is that while they're vastly different, they're not at all opposites. They're complementary. They exist on different points of an axis, but they keep the same rhythm and movement that keeps them from hindering each other. They're both fundamentally good people with a certain sharpness to their intellect that makes them compelling as anything from allies to romantic partners. Claude dreams, and he dreams big, but he's smart about it; he knows his limits, and finds ways to push them without breaking them. Dimitri has recently come out of being sunk neck-deep in the past, but all the same wants a world that's better for the people he's responsible for. Even on a level of aspirations and political goals, they're aligned. They're equals, in power and wit and heart.
They're just neat <3
I feel like I've bombarded you enough for now fglkjdflg but feel free to come back any time if my dimiclaude babbling has piqued your interest. If not, thank you for letting me babble regardless ^^"

Tag 9 People You Want To Get To Know Better
thank you @scrawnytreedemon for tagging!! let’s begin, shall we? :3c
Three Ships: ughhhhh this is real hard because I JUST invented the most horrible, wonderful “why does it work” crackship a few weeks ago, but if I want to include it, I have to ignore one of my three big zelda ships :C
1. Ghiralink. because of course. I feel like it’s illegal to leave this one out or put it any lower. it’s the good food. it’s well-established. I can afford to be picky with my content. it’s great :D
2. Astlink! sorry Kohlink, but Astlink is less likely to scare half my audience away 😔.
tbh I’m still VERY surprised that Astor and Link aren’t paired together nearly as often as Zelast (Astor / Zelda). don’t get me wrong, both are rare pairs, but somehow Astlink is even *rarer* shksjhdjhsshs, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. either way, it's 'moody goth bitch rejected by society (or maybe he rejected society first, it's a chicken or egg situation tbh) with the perfect golden person that everyone admires who secretly has their own issues'!! and it's about how they're on the complete opposite sides of this huge conflict and yet they find unexpected parallels in each other! and having everything fall apart but deciding to be a better person, even when the rest of the world says it's too late, because that one person believes in you and is willing to give you a chance! darkness and light! it's GOOD FOOD
(...man, I really gotta finish chapter 3 of swordsman and the seer.)
3. ...fuck it. scrawny, I hereby challenge you for the title of Weirdest Fucking Crossover Ship. Ghirahim x Godrick? Sephiroth x the Hollow Knight? I'm intrigued, but not crumbling to ash at the thought.
and so I give you this in place of gushing about Kohlink, which is unbelievably rare, but damn it, at least they're from the same source material! besides, I wasn't the first person to pair them by a long shot, no, no, no.
but there’s a special, lonely sort of pride in knowing you’re probably the first of 8 billion people in the world to ever even think of a pairing. ready? here it is:
R*x D*ng*rv*st x S*np*i from FNF.
(censored their names like that because if this shows up in the tags I’m gonna jump out a window)
yeah, man. I don't even know either.
I mean, I do know, somewhere, and my original train of thought is buried in the memory slush of a few months ago, gone forever. so now we're here. fuck. kill me. why am I writing shit for these two. girl what the hell is this
everyone who reads this post, I want a brick emoji in my inbox to simulate getting one through my window
First Ever Ship: ANYWAY, fuck, I don’t even remember at this point, I've been in greater fandom for so long. wait... oh, son of a bitch, nevermind, I do.
*sigh*
it was Billdip.
DO NOT COME AFTER ME, I DON’T SHIP IT ANYMORE. haven’t for years. I was 12. but I loved Bill Cipher (still do, he's my funny meow meow blorbo <3) and was very upset when the finale happened even though I knew that was how it had to be. but every time Billdip art came across my screen, I saw cool art where he: # 1. was still around and # 2. was more often than not a pretty human / humanoid (this was at the height of his sexymanification). hell, I didn't even give a shit about Dipper honestly, I just wanted more Bill content. and again, being literally 12, I didn’t really stop to think abt any moral implications. but yeah.
(also nowadays I hc Bill as ace sooo)
Last Song: 'She Had The World' by Panic! very nice to sing to, it's right in my range <3
Last Movie: does ‘My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas’ count? it’s a childhood film and practically tradition for me to watch it every year for christmas lol. although this year I’ve been replaying it for... research purposes. yeah. totally not for a lethally cursed fanfic, no sir.
if that doesn’t count, then ‘The Lego Movie’!
Currently Reading: nothing atm!! even as my 'to read' pile gets taller by the day, hhhh
Currently Watching: Minty Christmas, again, but definitely not so I can copy the dialogue verbatim to use as the base for a coked-up christmas crack fic
Currently Consuming: soup <3
Currently Craving: instant ramen, good god, especially if it’s spicy. they have cups for sale in vending machines around campus but they’re all beef and chicken flavour :C
I won't tag anyone else in this because nine people is a lot; far too many to bother with this wall of personal nonsense shdhdj but thanks anyway for tagging me scrawny, my beloved mutual!!! <3

Age gaps
Ahh... I dread this but I'll speak anyway. I keep seeing people have a problem with big age gap couple in fandom. Now before your nostrils all fluff up let me say this, if you can't have an open mind or too fragile for my input please take your leave. This would be wasted on you.
About age gap on fandoms couple (canon or crack) I personally have no problem as long as both parties consent (without child grooming or forced relationship aspect) and considered legal at the start of their relationship and the legality here is not referring to our modern standard but on the couple's world and time. I'll try to explain but it might get long and boring but if you're still okay, continue.
I'll give an example, during the age of samurai if the situation permits like Uesugi Kenshin they can join battle at age 13 and there are still other examples of other famous child samurai. We call it child now because time change but during that time they were considered an adult once they enter battlefield. Why? They already trained years prior to kill and to protect their lord. Example of this in anime would be Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. His first marriage was when he's around 16 and that was an acceptable age at that era since he was considered adult at age 14. So even though I find it icky if modern day teenager marry at that age, I can understand Kenshin's situation. If I'm still okay reading about him killing people around at even younger age I'm not gonna complain about him wanting to marry (although it's not that simple white and black for him).
You get what I'm trying to say?
More example of the acceptable norms in past era. During certain era in certain place like for example Victorian England and prior, 14 year old boys and 12 year old girls are passable for marriage depends on whether the family want it or not as it's more political than anything else. Same in China for example during the Manchurian Dynasty 14 year old girl is considered adult enough for marriage. And usually the age of the husband is always older by few years up to few decades (officials and emperor). But of course over time all of the above would change. Not by much maybe? Depend on the country I say.
Still we can't just hold the old days custom and norms on our modern day standard that would be akin to the present you calling your two or three year-old self a moron for defecating and not wiping your own ass. Or like when you do something stupid at your young age (pick whatever stupid situation that you have take as a lesson. Done?). You just didn't know better back then but now you do and from your failure you learn, although it would be better if you learn from other's lesson but I say pain is an effective lesson for oneself. Would you rather have that memories of your lesson be removed or ignored? I wouldn't. I don't know if I might do the stupid thing again just to find out whether I can or not. Same as this this whole age gap, young age marriage in the past and present in some customs thing. Don't erase the fact, don't gloss it over because people have and can still learn from them. My grandma married at young age and I came to be as the result of her choice.
Have you ever seen high schooler called Robert D Jr handsome? I've seen it recently on youtube. They call him very handsome and another video talked about cool and handsome senior male models. I've scrolled through the comments and no one seems offended that these high school girls simping for male old enough to be their granddad. These girls called them daddy and commenting how hot they are and the comments either agree or saying the girls reactions are cute. Huh... reverse the situation if these old models commenting female korean idol for example and calling them cute or hot what would people think? "creepy" "pedobear" even though senior female might think the same lines, heck maybe even we think the same lines. See the double standard people use? Maybe not everyone, but the loud ones are there. They're so loud I don't even know if they're majority or minority. I have celebrity crush too when I was young and as it happen, he's my father's age and to be frank, I would not mind an older partner if said partner is compatible and emotionaly mature. My sister is 17 years younger than her husband and they turn out well because her husband is matured enough to understand her ups and downs emotion back when they're dating, even before. Are all men mature emotionally as they became older then? No, just as not all oranges is sweet. My sister is 10 years my senior but she's more bratty than I am sometimes. Is it wrong of my bro in law to be with my sis?
Oh you're just trying to defend pedophilia anywayヽ(`Д´)ノ.
No stupid, I'm trying to make you think. I don't accept pedophilia, shotacon or lolicon. My sis is old enough to be called spinster when they go out. Anyway, when you follow a certain series, try to see it from their era and custom's perspective. Some era is okay with 16 year old marrying. Some tribes in Asia allow marriage between cousins while others and the majority of the world frown upon them. That's just how they see and do things. For me as long as both side consent without pressure and not in the case of 'parents sending their child for marriage without their input' thing I'm okay to leave that alone, I'm pretty much sure we're on the same page there. I hope.
So, just as when you come to another country, you adhere to their rules and norms or you have no right to complain if they deport you out for not learning beforehand and breaking their rules. Or when you have a guest come to your home and they suddenly start demanding you to do stuff their way, you should kick them out if not slapping their face. Or if you want to be kind, explain how you do things in your home and hoping they would understand and respect it.
I'm jumping around but see what I'm trying to say? I'll get to another anime example.
In Naruto for instance, they became genin at 12 and killing people left and right. People are okay with that right? Yeah well, since it was soo popular I suppose... besides it's pretty glossed over in both manga and anime. But the same people that's okay with children killing left and right, would they be okay if suddenly the mangaka put in story about one of the chara going on seduction mission? If it's carried out well as in the chara being bamf, maybe no problem. But if things went south for the chara? I'm sure there will be outrage, especially if that's a female chara or worse if it's one of the main like Sakura. See? People hold the characters, the series and the mangaka to their own convenient double standards. Back to the age gap when shipping, I pick Naruto as example because apparently Sakura was just so shippable that people actually ship her with Kakashi and even Madara and she makes easy example. Don't ask me why she's shipped with Madara and I don't ship any of the two with Sakura. Anyway, if Sakura is mature enough to choose to kill as a teenager (and don't give me crap about Sakura never killing on screen. Their line of work involves lots of death and she's been through war) she's mature enough to decide her romantic partner even if it's suddenly Orochimaru(ㆆ_ㆆ) (did they even exist?). You can say her taste is terrible because he's an asshole but don't say it's gross cause the age difference because apparently Orochimaru can just rejuvenated to new body and be as good as a babe (I wish I could too). Anyway saying it's about age on these kind of chara is just straight up lie on people's part. Another example I can think of atm is snk. I've seen people against pairing the 104th with the veterans because of age gap. Now I'm not trying to be rude, but hear me if you please. The whole 104th are trained child soldiers and they're killing titans and even humans. You're all okay with that? If you still follow the series far enough and liking it maybe you enjoy seeing the action sequence, drama and intrigue? The fact that you still come back to the series after this long proves that you're still okay with all the gores and blood spilled with all the glorious child soldier most of all. They become soldier because of circumstances you say? I'm glad you think so too! Although I must point out, the 104th did CHOOSE to be soldiers (just as Naruto and co choose to be ninja). They could be farmers or thugs for all we know. All the soldiers in snk choose their occupation, thay all trained and decide to join the Survey Corps, in fact the only one that join reluctantly in the first place is the former thug although he continues in the end. That aside, their circumstances certainly are different than us don't they? They don't even know a car and blip exist before Marley... They must have a whole lot of different mindset and norms than ours too for a civilization whose life are about survival against titans that's 100 years behind than other civilization in their world. Ever think of that?
Seeing modern day teenage in romantic lights are indeed hard as I'm sure the majority can't even survive without their gadget and parents' money. I certainly can't at that age. Immature. Even those in their twenties and thirties are immature these days. But now when one of those child soldier who have a whole lot of different mindset and maturity level is being shipped with older chara, you're against it. Okay. Maybe it's indeed easier for you to see 15 year olds regardless of their profession to commit act of violence and even kill than to love... (does that sounds okay to you?)
...I'm not saying killing mindlessly is alright because it is NOT. But that would need a whole lot different threads and time to spare and maybe someone else can do it or already done it before me.
But here's the good thing, even when the ship starts when they grow and at the modern legal age of 18 and 19, or even far above like centuries, it's still not okay for some people to ship them. I don't mind if it's your preference and you don't go disturbing other's corner when they don't even enforce their ship as words of god and even acknowledging that 'yes, maybe it's not canon and just our bits of fun' but sometimes it got to the point of belittling those who do ship age gap couple and treat them like a criminal in need of help or wishing them death. Seriously? Yes. People are that immature.
If you don't like a ship because you think your own is better, fine. Do your thing in your corner but don't go to other people's corner just to talk shit without even knowing why they ship what they ship. Most of this ship is just in our head in the end, and even if your ship is canon it does not make you any greater in real life.
I can't think of anything else to say now, but thanks for reading with open mind. ◝(⑅•ᴗ•⑅)◜..°♡
Now before anyone waste their time typing out comments, I refer to my first paragraph. Here's some imaginary flower for you all🌷
Apparently I'm not clear enough so I fix my wording. I'm here not defending minor and old people relationship but age gap couple who happen to be aged up to acceptable age despite their profession. Here's some choco🍫

Hello!! I got back from the beach today :D Getting back home from a trip is a weird experience,, Its like getting plucked from a universe into another :p
(Okay but looking back at what I wrote this ask sounds kinda vent-y?? I hope that's okay TT)
ANYWAY if I have to be 100% honest I kinda feel like a poser?? You have such a nice way of speaking about the series that you like and the characters that you love and I kinda feel like I might be wasting your time in a way?? I keep thinking "How dare I share my thoughts on [redacted], and start nuanced conversations around it when I barely know a thing about it?" and then my answers end up being kinda meh (bc I haven't watched the anime/read the manga) and Ig that can be disappointing, ya know?? the way someone can't give back the same energy after talking about something that you love, (and something they've said they love as well). I think its unfair for you to read my "barely there" opinions on JJK/AOT/etc when I don’t know much about it. But in a lighter note! I do enjoy hearing your opinions/thoughts, its clear that you hold a lot of love for the characters and stories, and hearing people talk about things they're passionate about is very nice! I like the idea of Sukuna and Kenjanku making a pact and thus Sukuna can't be that involved in his defeat! Its a very cool theory imo :D
I feel like Yaoi ships are exploited quite a bit, and tbh I have a dislike towards the use of them as a marketing tactic :/ I don't find anything inherently wrong with Yaoi ships, but sometimes there's fetishisation of mlm relationships (from fans and authors), and then the use of queer baiting to attract more readers. I don't know much about the ships in Haikyuu or bnha; one of my friends told me that Haikyuu is the anime with the most Yaoi fanart which fair, but I want to know if they actually counted it or saw the amount?? I wanna know how they reached that conclusion for certain TT STILL if you remember what pairings your friend told you about pls share!!
Also, apparently I need explicit romantic subtext to detect romantic chemistry between characters? bc otherwise everything looks/feels platonic to me...? I don't know why I'm unable to perceive romance unless the authors slaps me in the face with it :,)
I like it when characters are "oblivious" about how messy their situation is, and then little by little they start de-romanticising their reality. Its heartbreaking don't get me wrong, but I like the way most authors play around with that "trope".
The way character deaths hit so fucking hard, specially if you've been following their character journey from the start. It amazes me the way I get randomly sad bc I randomly remember a fictional death lol
IT WAS TERRIFYING BC I WAS SITTING IN FRONT OF A WINDOW AND I WAS SCARED SOMEONE WAS GONNA SEE MY TAB (I managed to see the shower panel on Pinterest as well I think so...👀)
Gojo being the only survivor would suck imo. For some reason I kinda want him to die?? Don't get me wrong I love the guy but the idea of this "invincible" person that everyone put on a "god" pedestal (against his will, at least to my knowledge?) passing away is intriguing. I wanna see how the Jujutsu world reacts to that and the impact it has on society. The only one survivor trope is cruel. It makes me cry and I will take no criticism TT
I also meant to ask! When you mentioned the song that played during Geto's death scene, you meant in the movie, right? I haven't watched it yet TT where I'm from, movies arrive at least half a year after the original release, and that's only if they're "mainstream" so... I'll probably have to wait for a year and a half :,)
I checked the art for Berserk and I kinda enjoy it ngl, tho some panels triggered my trypophobia a bit, I think its neat.
OKAY SO
The whole cuss word is "la concha de tu madre". The literal translation of this is "your mom's p*ssy" BUT according to google it means "fuck you and your mom's p*ssy" which, fair translation I think? Its more like a cuss sentence tbh but the way its pronounced and written varies depending where you are. Where I live its mainly pronounced "la Concha Su Mare" and thus shortened to CSM
Yuzuru's skating compels me become a better version of myself. Every time I watch him skate I get a surge of motivation to do whatever lmfao. He won 4th place! It was amazing the way he climbed back to the top (he was in 1st place until Shoma Uno's turn to compete) considering he was in 8th bc of the hole on the ice! I know he's Yuzuru Hanyu, so its not that surprising but still awesome imo! :D
YESTERDAY'S EPISODE OF EUPHORIA WAS SO GOOD. I had to watch it on someone's twitch stream bc I didn't have access to hob :,)
Imma send you the link for the Toji Pinterest pic in other ask bc I think Tumblr deletes asks with links?? am I wrong?? I might be wrong but just in case :p
You're truly such a sweet person TT thanks for reading! (and for the reassurance in the last ask :,) things got a bit hard to handle as of recently)
I hope you have a good day/night! :D
- 🥳 anon
you can vent to me baby!
you're not a poser, don't ever even think that! i like talking about things i don't know much about too. i mean, i literally watched 4 episodes of euphoria and discuss the latest episodes with my friends lol. sorry if i made you feel like a poser :/ i just hyper fixate on shows a lot and just... have so many opinions on them lmaooo you're nowhere wasting my time, it's just a chat we're having! i know my opinions can often be... dominating? i guess? i kinda tend to try to be on the top, i try not to talk before knowing everything about something but that's just because of stuff that happened when i was younger that made me this way lol it's really okay. i love reading your thoughts on things too!
for the aot thing, we should probably leave that out of this classification since it's pretty controversial still lol i support the controversial idea. i used to debate about it on the snk wiki dc so i'm usually well prepared for it kwalmdksemwfkmds
exactly what i'm thinking!! if you ever watched any of cdawgva's videos (which i highly recommend), you can see that japan kinda sees yaoi/gays as some sort of marketing strategy, with yaoi cafes (connor made a great video about it) etc.
haikyuu is very much shipped cause the male friendships in there are so strong and healthy. i believe kuroo/kenma and tsukki/yamaguchi were supposed to be canon, she said it was officially stated by the mangaka but i didn't fact check it. it would make sense tho, i can definitely see the homoerotic aspects of their relationships. for bnha, i haven't watched it and i find the "bnha fans are so cringy!" thing kinda overused. its target demographic seems to be younger girls, tho definitely not dominated by them. herohei usually made short videos about them on twitter and yeah... it really has a toxic fanbase.
lmaoo yeah you kinda get used to it after a while. it's really confusing tho, how most of the ships just don't be openly canon. i mean, look at yuri and victor lmaoo my best friend and i debated on whether they kissed on that scene or not. japan, c'mon. don't tire us pls
oh, you mean eren's death? yeah </3 i can't look at previous seasons cause he looks so young and innocent... anyways moving on AHEM
i sometimes go on twitter on public transportation, when it's cramped up, with much taller people standing behind me and you know i follow the trash taste boys and my fucking god the amount of times they liked a lewd fanart/hentai panels and put them on my feed is un fucking countable
yeah i want him to die too. it would break my heart, but just like levi, seeing him live on with so much pain... i can't handle that
yeah from the movie. we don't have a release date either, we never used to get anime films on theaters before but i saw the sword art online and bnha movies a couple months before, so hoping to see jjk 0 too!! PLEASE! though i would watch the leaked version once it gets released in usa, then go and watch in in theaters with my friends. i will wear 0 make up, i will cry.
i saw so many leaked scenes from the movie and many japanese people explain the stuff from the film on twitter too. i believe there was a screening with the smell things? i forgot what they were called but turns out geto smells like sandalwood and incense and gojo smells like nothing <3 ngl i found a sandalwood perfume on zara and will run to smell him once i find time
oh i have trypophobia too lol i never found one with it! i find tha panels with griffith so pretty <3 junji ito made a manga purely to trigger trypophobia lol i just remembered that. i love junji ito so much, he makes every odd thing i'm scared of
OHH okay that makes sense lol we use abbreviations for cuss words here too. i thought it would be something like cum lol
aah you put me back in my yuzuru phase anon! literally. my feed is filled with him. i was so so angry how underscored he was this year. he couldn't land the jump for obviously external reasons but aced the rest of his routine! he didn't fall, he landed perfectly every other time. considering how he won gold with a fall and silver with 5 falls, he was extremely underscored this year. i watched a video about ice skating controversies, number 1 being yuzuru's underscored routine. he compared yuzuru's previous scores and this year's and the difference is like day and night. let me link it, it was so fun and informative!

he's really something else man. he skates inhumanly. he flows on ice like water and has the personality of a teddy bear. i love him so much, this year's scores broke my heart. he also defended the judges on his thesis, he said "the moves became so complex that the judges don't know how to score them" he's so adorable. i need to watch yuri on ice again since THEY ARE JUST NOT FUCKING RELEASING ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE yes mappa i'm looking at you
i need to catch up with euphoria asap >.<
aww thanks! i love talking with you, you're so nice! take as much time as you need, take care of yourself! i'm always here <3
have a good one! (*/ω\*)
