What's the official tag for the Eyes and Ears/Fragments AU?

So yeah, I'd love to hear people's ideas about where they think different players Fragments would appear on their bodies from each Life season

Reminder: If they win a series, that fragment is protected (feel free to still pick a location though)

Fragments are generally linked to a key moment or trauma in that season. Martyn's are:

3rd Life - Cheek (tear from killing Ren and losing him in the final battle)

Last Life - Between the shoulder blades (backstabbed)

Double Life - Chest, over where the heart is, cus, hearts are linked

Limited Life - Right hand, protected

Secret Life - Neck, due to inability to speak/share secrets (and dog collar lol)

I had some ideas about where Scott's fragments could be, dunno how much sense they all make but thought I'd give it a shot:

3rd Life - Ring finger (Cause of his marriage to Jimmy, yes, had to do it, sorry. I'm lightly pharaprasing, but he even said that the yellow glowy bits around his skin were a physical representation of the grief he felt about losing his husband, I mean, COME ON)

Last Life - Over the heart, protected (Because, to quote Scott, "I've spent the entire season being honorable, I am not about to stop now". He is the only player that preferred to fail a boogey kill than to hurt any of his allies.)

Double Life - Left hand (My justification for placement is in what he said in his first episode: "Sometimes you just need to take life into your own hands wether that's through work, or friends or love, and you find your own soulmate.")

Limited Life - Side of neck (Mimicking gills, because Martyn might have been a backstabber at the end but Scott "would not have had him any other way")

Secret Life - On the cheek near his eye (Mimicking his band make up. Among several other moments of note, there is him sacrificing his final life to Gem so she could have more hearts to try and give her an advantage in the final fight)

Aha! I’m back with more fragments—or something! We have Scott and Jimmy this time, and I’m trying more dynamic falling positions so they don’t all look the same. Plus the drawings will just be ass because all I care about is the fragments.

For Scott, it’s my first person with a recovered fragment! Slay sir, slay. Which just means I didn’t think about where that one would have gone— but it doesn’t matter because it never existed in the first place? Wait or does it heal a previous one? Shh.. one of them is missing anyways what’s it really matter?

Scott’s 3rd life fragment is on his hand, or wrapping his ring finger in remembrance of his dead husband. Self explanatory, flower husbands comes with extra angst.

Last life is nothing

Double life is the leg, very big fragment. This for when he killed himself to let pearl win— he exploded himself by standing on tnt so there’s that.

Limited life is on his back, for one having a huge target on his back the entire series for his time and for when he got backstabbed by martyn in the last episode.

Secret life is his heart. Every life that he had in the series went to another person. He never died in combat, only when he wanted to and each time giving a red player hearts. Scott’s character is always pretty selfless in that regard.

Timmy.. I’ll be surprised if you ever get to fix any of the cracks on you. I imagine that his fragments are all small due to never being able to see the heartbreak of someone close to him dying, and never seeing the real carnage the games bring.

3rd life’s fragment is on his hand, matching Scott for flower husbands. With his husband till the end.

Last life is on his other hand, the hand he holds his spyglass in! Again he was very close with his group and it just referring to the Ahas just makes sense.

Double life is the heart. The rancher duo was what I find to be one that stuck with him the most, referencing it inside and outside of the games. (I’d like to say that’s him talking about tango in his little void dreams.)

Limited life is the big one on the wing. This represents when he fell and died for the last time, the watchers pushing him watching him fall knowing that flight wasn’t an option to save himself in these games.

Secret life is his ears, for the big dogs. Just purely because he was a dog. Woof wolf furry boys.

Ideas about Joel's fragments with eyes and ears

3rd Life - Ankle, all his deaths happened either standing in lava or fire so I think it being on his ankle is fitting because that's what killed him, like fire being his achilles heel

Last Life - Chest (not heart), He was trusted by all the new reds and was always open to them, not betraying anyone, it symbolises the first inklings of his loyalty of him giving his full heartfelt loyalty to his allies

Double Life - Eye, didn't want it to be the heart just because of soulmates, but it being on the eye is kind of like an eye patch and his base was on a ship like a pirate so it's quite funny more than anything

Limited Life - Temple, shows how he "lost his mind" after the death of jimmy, in grians words

Secret Life - Fingers (specifically right index/middle fingers), representative of how you draw a bow, with his flame bow which he then hit bdubs with just before he died

Ever since Martyn prompted us to think of fragments for the other players on his stream, my wheels have been turning, so here we go (keep in mind I'm only doing the ones I personally follow):

Ren:

Season One: Scalp (To represent a crown, because he was a king that season)

Season Two: Chest (To represent armor, because he was a knight that season)

Season Three: Arm (To represent the link with his Soulmate breaking due to the Secret Soulmate thing)

Jimmy:

Season One: Finger (To represent how you would hold a shield, because burning the shield led to his downfall)

Season Two: Leg (To represent the time when he ran away from the life-giving circle, causing the other Southerners to distrust him)

Season Three: Around eyes (To represent him having to see the Ranch burn down)

Season Four: Foot (To represent him falling from a high place so much)

Season Five: Neck (To represent a dog collar, matching with Martyn's fragment)

Cleo:

Season One: Back (To represent getting shot by Skiz to be eliminated, as even he claimed to mistake her for yellow at the time, so it came out of nowhere for both of them)

Season Two: Finger (To represent holding a match, because that season was when they became synonymous with fire)

Season Three: Chest (To represent her "following her heart" and choosing her own Soulmate. I didn't realize until after I thought of this that it would match her predetermined Soulmate's fragment; this was not intentional from me)

Season Four: Stomach (To represent giving birth, because they were a mother that season)

Season Five: Forehead (To represent her growing attachment to another player, who wears a headband)

(Side note: can you tell I had some serious difficulty coming up with Cleo's?)

Scar:

Season One: Mouth (To represent his ability to talk with people and make deals)

Season Two: Palm (To represent the magic crystals, since magic is cast through the hand in lots of fantasy media)

Season Three: Arm (To represent the link with his Soulmate breaking due to the Secret Soulmate thing)

Season Four: Wrist (To represent a wristwatch, since he joined a clock-based group that season)

Season Five: Around eyes (To represent him having to continuously read tasks that prevented him from having any true allies)

Pearl:

Season Two: Around eyes (To represent her having to watch her closest ally leave after sacrificing his Boogeyman task and becoming red)

Season Three: Neck (To represent a dog collar, since she became particularly attached to her pet dog that season)

Season Four: Ear (To represent overhearing things, because she was a Nosy Neighbor that season)

Season Five: Shoulder (To represent a "round mound," as shoulders have a similar shape, and she was a Mounder that season)

EAE Fragment Headcannons: Joel

Third life-

Shoulder- Kinda undecided about this one, but maybe? Its the joint where your arm swings, and joel didn't get a single kill this season. So like, swinging and missing every time

Last life

Over the eye- Blinded by bloodlust and rage. Man was on a whole season killing spree.

Double Life

On the palm- Rowing boats/steering ships (dl boat motif my beloved)

Limited Life

On the nose- the sunglasses...the bad boys...need I say more

Secret Life

On the bottom of the foot- this connections bit weird but his worst moment this series was definently the failed bucket clutch. He didn't land on his feet like he was supposed to

my friend had a sick idea how grian's limlife fragment was on his wing (because of his final death). i like to think that his wings gradually gave up on him as the series progressed as he kept dying to fall damage

The second Martyn said in the lore stream that everyone was fragmented, I was immediately thinking about where fragments would appear on the other players. Specifically I thought about where they would be on Skizz(Not sure why, he was just the first one I thought of)

Third Life: Either right palm or back of the right hand(The very first two permadeaths were at his hands)

Last Life: On his shoulder(For trying to be the honest hero of a season full of betrayal [Wearing your heart on your sleeve basically])

Was absent for Double Life

Limited Life: Back of the neck(Where Etho struck him with the axe when he sacrificed his time for TIES)

Secret Life: Over the Heart(Founder of the Heart Foundation, but also for his unwavering love and loyalty to his team mates)

I had some ideas for Mumbo and Lizzie’s fragments

Mumbo Last life - Right below his eye. Similar to Martyn’s 3rd life fragment I think a representative tear works really well for Mumbo. He used and gathered a lot of Ghast tears for his end crystals, watched his best friend fall of the farm where he gathered them, and was ultimately killed by that same friend.

Mumbo Secret life - On the side of his body. It could represent his sideways house which was the entire basis of his friendship, before he ultimately died getting his body stuck between to fence posts

Lizzie Last life - On her foot - Lizzie faced a lot of betrayal throughout last life, and I couldn’t find a way to represent it all, I decided to go with something reminiscent of her “final betrayal” when Bdubs betrayed the reds by placing a wither rose at her feet, and then shooting her off a cliff, where she died to fall damage

Lizzie Secret life - Around her eye - She ultimately died by looking into the eyes of an enderman, whilst it seemed like she’s only looking at Scott’s eyes, after being knocked off, she was too in shock to throw her enderpearl.

As just one extra one, I think scar’s limited life one has to be in the back due to Grian quite literally stabbing him in the back for his final death.

My thoughts on Martyn Secret life lore stream (Eyes and Ears AU)

first, Martyn why would you hurt me with that imagery? Poor scar ;-;

-I really like the idea of the logo being the pincer on the Watchers. Grian is a force of nature and should be represented as such

-I am of the personal belief that Jimmy did not break free from the canary curse, since he died right before Wither/Warden boss fight and the entire point of Canarys is to warn of danger

-slightly irralevently but I need to draw the Scar

-BOY do I love the idea of Gem being used as the Watchers new tool because of the Zombie outbreak (send Gem all the love for that skill!!!)

-love Gem being taken by Watchers in general, especially adding in her lore that in Empires she thought everybody was just roleplaying, so she came in thinking it was roleplay and got stuck.

-i also like the idea of Jimmy getting struck down because of the Watchers being confused by his "funeral" and once Lizzy dies, then going "wait no he's supposed to be dead hold on-" and striking him down immediately

-i need more ideas for art. Also references. Please more references proportions are awful

-"if given the right tools, how many seeds of chaos can {Gem} sow, and it turns out, she's a bloody good farmer." Good quote. Make art for quote

-negative emotions being ~spicy~

-martyn being the seperate party in the gang of winners

-the watchers pushed Jimmy off a ledge

-players still having that sense of connections and support (i.e. swapping out) despite being in murder games (also I love the idea that when the Listeners swap out players, the players get a choice, so it's all the much more heartbreaking)

-(personal headcanon that Ren was desperately hoping Martyn would recognize him in Tango's body)

-(personal headcanon that all players start new life series incredibly sore from being tensed as they fall, even though they're unconscious)

-(other personal headcanon that fragmented players i.e. life series players are the only ones who can see the fragments on other servers)

-Speakers maybe being part of a group which works as mercenarys (being paid in whatever currency they use to give players the task of helping each other) (speakers being true neutral)

-y'all imagine the cinematic beauty of the climax I want full animaticssss

-Grian couldn't cash in on success because he either isn't fully in, or because the Watchers are being petty

-the two watchers being the actually evil equivalent of Jesse and James from pokemon

-Grian has emotions about previous series absolutely stunning idea

-like the idea that Winners get to keep their emotions (hence Pearl and Tilly, Grian w/ Scar, etc)

-THE PLAYERS ALL HAVE FRAGMENTS AND I NEED TO CHECK THE POST WHERE EVERYONE PUT THEIR IDEAS FOR PLACES

-Martyn is furry (fragment dog collar) (very not serious)

-fragments appear as important moments from lore? (Can Scar just have a big ol' one where he got punched in the face by Grian from third life?) (I know they don't appear because final death but it was a generator of so much angst)

-autocorrect my beloathed. (Grian ≠ Groan)

-sometimes fragments become scars, and everybody gets confused because "this moment wasn't important I have no emotional attachment to this moment why is there a scar?"

-PLAYERS CANNOT REMEMBER THE EMOTION GOBBLING AND ARE JUST GENERALLY CONFUSED WHEN THEY HAVE AN EMOTIONAL REACTION TO SOMETHING SOMEBODY SAYS

-headcanon that the Watchers do a real shoddy job at emotion gobbling and often leave the memory, which can prompt an emotional reaction. Also, Watchers actively ignore certain negative moments in favour of those spawning more negative emotions (like a cobblestone generator but for negative emotions)

-datastream Martyn??? Please explain I have not the time to watch all the vods

-eeeee winner theory!!!!!

-so without any knowledge of Datastream Martyn, can I suggest that mayhaps datastream means that literally Martyn leaps between worlds by moving through the literal data stream? I have seen references to a Doc, so maybe he and Martyn were experimenting and Martyn got stuck? I know something happened to Doc, probably bad given that the reference was 'yes the red stuff was definitely ketchup', so was it because of the knowledge he has gained? Again, never seen any data stream so take all of this with a grain of salt. I just like analysing stories and have read enough to be able to pick out plotlines fairly well.

-oooh lore comic i want to read that

-Secret Keeper is Watchers putting on a trench coat and going "yes yes no watchers here yes yes"

-imagine how invasive it would be to spawn in and just KNOW the rules, with no background for why or how you have that information. Boy that could be a cesspit for angst. Imagine the panic of that inserted information. (Grian has to calm somebody down fic???)

-new lore enjoyer, but I love this already.

-making a proper movie with this concept would be AMAZING

-players were kidnapped lmao

-Scott having that forewarning for Jimmy and Scar is a funny thought

-Listeners are oldest children fighting their middle siblings (Watchers) because Mom and Dad will blame them for the poor player hurt

I drew were I think Joel and Lizzie’s fragments would apear. I know they don’t actually glow out of cloathing/shoes— but I wanted to show where they were. (Yes they are falling in the void, shhh it can be different colors they are glowing.)

Explanation;

Lizzie has two fragments, one from last life and one from secret life. I hc that she fragments more easily and hers are much larger than pretty much anyone else’s. (Other than mumbo)

Her fragment from last life is on her back for the amount of times she was backstabbed/ betrayed in the series. (Obviously I couldn’t draw her back and her face so.. too bad-?) but I imagine that the fragment covers the majority of her back.

The fragment from secret life is on her face almost like tears. This was the heartbreak of no one coming to her party, and how the rest of her series played out after that was quite tragic to be fair, she never really got any revenge or closure.

Joel are e v e r y w h e r e.

He’s been on every series and never won so he’s just got a bunch. Most of his fragments are small because I don’t think the watchers would get much from him. The only times they get to feed off of him is usually because of the loss of his wife, only sometimes from a team mate. He isn’t usually close to people in most series, just causing chaos.

3rd life’s fragment is on his foot. I did this because of the kinda funny way he dies trying to put the fire on his house out but dies in the process. So yeah— he kinda just stepped in the fire. (Fairly small fragment cause he ain’t got no friends)

Last life is the neck because of how he always had it out for people, putting a target on him. (Again no friends except for scar but they barely counted as allys) ((lmao I didn’t know where to put this one really ))

Double life is his hand. I did this because boat boys and it’s like he’s rowing the boat (idk that’s my reasoning) I imagine Etho has one on the opposite hand because they are rowing the boat together <3 ( you get it right? They both have an oar to row the boat with) This was the first time Joel has a meaningful alliance, and it’s bigger than the first two fragments.

Limited life is his chest/heart. I felt that this was when Joel had the biggest connection with his team and was completely distraught when Jimmy died. The watchers were eating that shit UP. ( the fragment reaches out to his arm that’s why it looks like there’s six. I totally DIDNT make a random one somehow and am making an excuse for it being there)

Secret life is on his face, matching his wife, how cute. This was because of all the heartbreak he endured in the episodes including and following the wither-warden battle. He loses Lizzie, Jimmy, and mumbo all in one day and then on the last episode is the reason that Scott is able to kill Bdubs when he accidentally shot him. Overall just real sad times for him. And not even that— he dies to Scott once again, the one person he wanted dead the entire episode.

His fragments grow larger each season as he grows closer to the other players.

Edit— yes I know the fragments don’t look how they do canonically, but they look cool so shhhh. Also the ones I said are small but don’t look small in the picture, also just mistakes.

first post because i wanna give my opinions on bdubs fragments

3rd Life - Back (represents how he was backstabbed by Scar, but also how he backstabbed Impulse)

Last Life - Foot (soul speed boots in the Snow Castle and how dedicated he was to the soul sand idea)

Double Life - Chest (pretty obvious, soulbound, also how he and Impulse were probably the healthiest couple in DL)

Limited Life - Hand (i was lost on this one, my only idea is hand bc he swung the axe that killed Skizz in episode 1)

Secret Life - Mouth/Throat (unable to tell secrets, 3 of his tasks were related to speaking, how he didn't eat the gapple in time before he final died, and his words of loyalty to etho)

3 - the opposite side of the chest to the heart (it couldve been love but it wasnt meant to be)

ll - the back of the head (he was doomed from the start)

dbl - the heart (ranchers <3)

liml - the hand (his bad boys guided him every step of the way)

Last Life - Top of the Right Foot (Falling into the lava at the south land base that sesson was so awful and I think falling in the lava and turning red would have done the fracture)

Double Life - Left Ring finger (Because of Grian being secret soul mates with BigB)

Limited Life - Between the shoulder blades (Grian literally stabbed him in the back and that took him out)

Secret Life - Temples Protected

(but for context because he was the "Villain" of the server so l thought like horns)

found a discussion on where we think other life series members fragments would be, so i decided i’d share my headcannon for Gem’s!

since she’s only been in Secret life (in technicality) so far, i think the fragment from secret life would be apon her arm (the one that had the void on it) in the vague shape of a sword to signify the blood that she spilt.

also i think she’d get a small one for limited life, if only because she appeared once, and i think that one would be across her face, mimicking cleo’s stitches.
