This year I officially get to have my first ever succulent plant . . . Look how beautiful the colours are! This is my first time taking care of a plant, so I hope this little baby will grow and thrive 🌵

Echeveria Melaco under strong stress. It's wet because some mealybugs were sucking at the baby blooms in the corner. So I sprayed my super handmade mealybug-killer and was so effective that they died instantly. As my Melaco was already under strong sunlight I think it wont burn as well as the rest of the day got cloudy.

^ each of these are about 3 weeks apart, some changes are quite noticeable

this, however, is just a week difference. echeveria Perle von nürnberg is quite light hungry and apparently quite dramatic given how quickly the rosette closed up!

hi jack!! i consider myself a beginner succulent owner, and i want to know if i might be underwatering my echeveria melaco that's causing it to lose its red-chocolate colours on its leaves?? but i'm also skeptical about my previous theory; because the plant is all-around healthy. it's a little older— about 5 inches in height in a mostly rosette-shape, gets 4-6 hours of sun daily, and no problems aside the decrease of colour on its leaves.
