Disclaimer: I do not create Harr, credits to Cybird for creating a character I love so much
Notes: Thank you @otomememento  for beta reading this story. I’m sorry for bothering you. This took me a long time to write and finish. I'm not confident with this little fic, but here it is. I hope you enjoy. This is my first attempt at writing something like this. I'm used to writing with another person, you see. So writing in this format is complicated for me. And while constructive criticism is very much appreciated, you don't have to be rude about it.
Tumblr media
Harr sensed the soldiers the moment they stepped through the treeline, lifting the hood of his cloak to conceal himself from view as he casted a simple teleportation spell. The area was bathed in a light blue illumination, leaving no traces that he had been there at all. Arriving at his destination, peeking over the side of a tree, the wizard eyed the group of soldiers, his ears picking up on their conversation.
"Where do you think the girl is? This forest doesn't appear to be ending anytime soon." The lone soldier complained, following the others. He stepped over a fallen log in the middle of the man-made trail, readjusting his anti-magic rifle. "The Magic Tower gave us clues about where to find the girl. That clue led us here, so she's somewhere in this forest." The captain responded calmly, then glared down at the low ranking soldier. "If the Commander heard you complaining, he'd punish you severely for your insubordination. He wants her alive, so make sure you don't harm her. Accidentally, or otherwise. Do I make myself perfectly clear? He already has plans for her." The other soldiers saluted their captain in response, pressing onward with renewed vigor, intending to carry out the commander's orders even if it meant their deaths.
As Harr stepped backwards, he made the simple mistake of snapping a twig in half with his left boot. The noise alerted the small group of soldiers. "Aye, it appears we have some company." The captain silently made a command with a hand gesture, walking in the direction where the noise came from. Harr gritted his teeth as he attempted to get away from the soldiers before they noticed his presence, however, a hand grabbed his upper arm, the expression on Harr's face contorted in pain as the fingers of the soldier keeping him in place dug into the fabric of his cloak. The skin along that area felt tender the longer the other man continued to grip him firmly. Harr was pulled and shoved along before he made eye contact with whom he assumed was the leader of the group, pressing his lips into a thin line, schooling the expression on his face as not to give them the satisfaction of showing emotion.
"Well, well, well." The captain approached Harr, his lips forming a wicked grin, forcing the wizard down onto his knees on the ground, while a soldier kept Harr in place. "The Magic Tower told us about a wizard living out here. I never thought one of our targets would make the job easier. Isn't this a nice surprise?" The man was given incoherent, verbal agreement from his subordinates. "Since you so kindly offered yourself without any trouble, I'm going to give you a chance to tell us where the girl is." Harr refused to bargain with them. He loved Eirene too much to give her up. The captain frowned, clearly displeased. "Don't make this any harder for yourself. All we want is the girl. Our Commander harbors no ill will towards you people. He just has some unfinished business and it involves that girl. Now, tell us where she is." Callous fingers quickly removed the hood to forcefully yank Harr's head back by his hair. The pain along his scalp caused the muscles in his face to twitch in response to the harsh treatment. The eye that wasn't obscurred by a silver mask weaved back and forth, studying the captain's oily and sweaty features.
"The sooner you give us her location, the sooner all of this mayhem will end."
Harr remained silent, which angered the captain, grunting when the older man sent a balled fist against the left side of his face. The wizard fell backwards onto the ground due to the force of the blow, his left ear ringing, as a seering pain emitted along his bottom lip where he must have accidentally bitten down from the impact of the punch. With his eye squeezed shut, Harr shifted slightly, the scent of moist dirt, leaves and iron reached his nose, pain radiating in the left side of his jaw. A bruise was likely forming. That much was obvious by how much his face swelled up in a matter of moments. Though all he could focus on was the pain and how disoriented he felt.
Before long, the sensation of two hands grabbing a hold of his cloak made Harr open his eye in time to watch the soldier who captured him minutes ago force him to sit upright, releasing his cloak to step away. The captain impatiently paced back and forth, feeling the wizard's gaze following him. "Why are you refusing to give her up? Don't you want this war to end? Don't you want peace to be returned?" The man stopped pacing to coldly regard Harr. "We know you have her hidden somewhere; the Magic Tower was forthcoming with information, after all. So staying quiet won't help you, wizard." While his silence could be taken for defiance, Harr was actually contemplating his next move, eyeing the soldiers while gauging the chances of defeating them. There were at least five in total. All were carrying weapons made to be utilized against magic wielders. He's heard of the term anti-magic through his dealings with merchants from overseas. If these Glassian soldiers were to use these anti-magic weapons, his magic would be useless against them. It didn't mean he was powerless, though. He just had to be patient and coordinate accordingly.

Cradle Headcanons
I used several images from the game for this post. They belong to Cybird. For the other image used, the artist is Marie-Michelle Pipin from Behence. I'm including my lore.

The Country of Cradle
The mediate members of the Chapman family were moved to the palace located in the heart of Cradle, the Central Quarter. It was renovated into the Civic Center after the Chapman Massacre.
The Civic Center acts as an administrator for the citizens of Cradle. The Kings of Hearts and Spades have a joint responsibility of overseeing all of Cradle, with the exception of their respective territories that they govern.
Erza Chapman was given the title and the responsibility of overseeing the Central Quarter from the will of his father, angering his older, twin brother, Hephaestus and his only son, Arion.
Blanc Lapin recorded every event that transpired in Cradle, storing them in a place only he has knowledge of: the treasury beneath the Civic Center, which was used by the Chapmans to collect revenue from the citizens.
There are ancient documents Blanc has preserved of Cradle's entire history. They were recorded by his predecessors, including his own father.
Amon Jabberwock murdered his own father and the King of Hearts years after the Chapman Massacre, allying himself with Arion Chapman, who fled from Cradle after slaughtering his entire family and is now residing in Glass. The two are currently conspiring together.
Eirene was born in the Central Quarter, on the night of a full moon, bringing hope to the people of Cradle. Murals of the return of Cradle's princess are etched onto the walls of the celestial cave underneath the Lake of Tears, foretelling her destiny to restore peace.
The government of Cradle is complicating. No one is for certain what type of government Cradle has. However, the country is divided into three equal parts. With the Red and Black armies governing the red and black territories, while the Central Quarter is shared between the two until the return of the Chapman heir, Eirene Beverly Chapman, who will one day reclaim what is hers by birthright.
The country of Glass refuses to negotiate an alliance with Cradle because Arion has manipulated the Glass King into believing his lies, accusing Cradle of killing his family.
As a merchant, Loki knows acquaintances from neighboring countries. He makes negotiations with them in order to get items and such from their countries. Or vice versa.
Tumblr media
The Garden
The garden is a place where the Thirteen come to have meetings regardling Cradle as a whole. Low ranking soldiers and civilians are not permitted to enter the garden, unless one of Thirteen gave them permission.
This used to be the Chapman garden, until the two armies shared responsibility of governing the Central Quarter, renovating it as a meeting spot.
Tumblr media
Magic
Anyone can channel magic through the crystals the Magic Tower created, but once the magical energy has been used, the crystal becomes an ordinary pebble. However, unlike these crystals, the crystals from the Forbidden Forest never run out of magical energy. Even magic users can channel the energy from these crystals to conserve their own magical energy. As stated below, using these crystals are forbidden.
The more powerful a spell is, the more magical energy it drains. Which is why people who uses magic innately experience symptoms of fatigue, fever, exhaustion, etc. It depends if whether or not they go over their limitations. If they use up all their magical energy completely, it could cost the user their life, or they can no longer use magic.
Blanc Lapin possesses time magic, but he can only channel it through his pocket watch: an item that once belonged to his father. It passes down from record keeper to record keeper. It allows Blanc to travel from Wonderland to the Land of Reason at any time, but he chooses to keep this ability a secret out of fear of Amon finding out about it.
The Chapmans possess a high amplitude for the magical arts, more so than the Kingsleys. The Magic Tower captured members of the royal family for this reason, extracting their souls to make even stronger magic crystals to use as leverage against the two armies.
Tumblr media
The Forbidden Forest
The Forbidden Forest is filled with naturally grown magical crystals. They’re far more authentic compared to the magic crystals the Magic Tower creates and distributes legally in Cradle.
These crystals are illegal in Cradle. If one is caught with them in their possession, regardless of reasoning, the Magic Tower will inflict punishment.
For magic users, the Forbidden Forest is riddled with magical energy. This energy source is plentiful, and allows them to harness their magical capabilities safely without the user experiencing the side effects of going over their limitations.
People have speculated the forest is alive, and that it produces these crystals by harvesting wandering souls, which, believe it or not, resemble will-o-the-wisps. They appear at night when the forest illuminates from magical energy.
Very rarely do these wisps appear during the day, and only those who are magically inclined can see them.
Variety of creatures resides within the Forbidden Forest. They are different compared to the animals from the Land of Reason. Nearly all of them are magically inclined, making them just as valuable as the wild crystals grown here.
Tumblr media
The Lake of Tears
The lake of Tears is the breeding ground for magic crystals. This is the place where one can find them fully sprouted.
The lake itself is shrouded in mystery.
The water glows a bright aqua color, especially if one touches the surface.
At the bottom of the lake lies white sand with little speckles of color. One can’t find this sand anywhere else in Cradle.
There is a celestial cave with runes engraved on the walls. One can find rare crystals among its’ numerous caverns are worth more in lin than the crystals Amon amd his disciples have created.
There is a tree standing in the middle of the cave, whose roots spread across the ceiling, dipping into the luminescent pool of magical energy, some roots hang low and drips this same substance. The roots of the tree can be seen by magic users, pumping magical energy through Cradle from the Forbidden Forest.
Harr and Eirene have shared precious memories here. From their first date, their first kiss, and their first time being intimate. Andrasta was conceived here.
Tumblr media
Old Palace Ruins
The ruins of the palace belonged to the royal family of Cradle: the Chapmans.
The Chapmans have been around for over five hundred years, reigning over Cradle alongside the Red and the Black armies. However, the royal family overseen Cradle as a whole, but they held no such power in the Red and Black territories, overseeing the Central Quarter and allowing the two armies to govern their own respective territories.
The three factions have always worked together until five hundred years ago when the Red and Black armies declared war against eachother. The two armies are the military might of Cradle, protecting the country, and striving to keep the peace until a conflict tarnished the ideals the three set in place, creating a divide throughout the entire country.
Members of the Chapman family began to disappear, one after another. This struck fear in the hearts of citizens. No one knew why they were disappearing. However, the Kings of Hearts and Spades speculated the Magic Tower, but neither of them had any evidence to back their claims against the tower, or any reason behind the disappearances.
The remaining members of the Chapman family were moved to the two territories to be under the protective custody of the two armies. The main house occupied the Central Quarter.
For years, the palace became overgrown with trees, brush, and other plantlife from being unoccupied since the incident involving the disappearances.

Background
Eirene was raised in the Land of Reason. Or, to be more precise, in the countryside of England. She, along with her mother, moved to London to live with her maternal grandparents. Eirene helped around the house, and even helped her grandfather with his small business of selling various wares.
She met Blanc not long after closing the shop, walking home, picking up his pocket watch when she noticed he dropped it by accident. Wanting to return the item back to its’ original owner, Eirene soon realized the man had left, running off in search of him.
She eventually finds him, calling out to the strange man, but he doesn’t hear her.
Blanc vanishes without a trace, seemingly falling down the rabbit hole that appeared suddenly. Has it always been there? Without thinking it through, Eirene follows him, her long, black locks whipping violently, her blouse rustling, as she descends quickly.
Something about this place felt familiar.
A sense of deja vu overcomes her.
Eirene was surprised to learn that she was born in Cradle. Her mother being from the Land of Reason, while her father was a native to Cradle. Erza Chapman, the name of the man who gave her life, was a kindred spirit, who drew everybody in. He helped anyone in need, and would give up the clothes he wore. Erza was one of the rare few who were born with the ability to harness magic, the magical energy he possessed was far greater, due to his royal lineage. After learning about his existence, the Magic Tower murdered him by extracting his soul. Luckily, Erza bidded Maryam and their newborn time to escape from Cradle through the portal connecting their worlds.
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Personality
Eirene is independent, she wants stability, and strives to work hard so that she doesn’t have to depend on the people around her, members of both armies can clarify this simple fact as they have given her odd jobs.
She is friendly with everyone, unless they give her a reason not to be. For instance, the night she found herself in the garden, Jonah wrongly accused her of trespassing. Eirene defended herself and told him she didn’t know, promptly apologizing for doing so.
She became angry, however, when he called her a liar. Eirene told him she didn’t have a reason to lie, and that she hated it when people never believed anything she says.
Her sudden change in attitude surprised him and Edgar, both. Jonah knew Eirene was being honest, right then. Her eyes held so much emotion within them, he apologized for his accusations, but didn’t let her leave.
Eirene is kind and caring to the point that she’ll help anyone who needs it, much like her father had, regardless of their social standings, or where they are from: be it the Red Territory, Central Quarter, or the Black Territory. She’ll defend them with every fiber of her being, having morals to abide by, and despises people who believe themselves to better than their neighbors. Eirene refused to side with either army when the two armies clashed against eachother, having come to love and respect both of the armies.
She’s easily forgiving and understanding, for Eirene forgave Edgar for threatening her into joining the Red Army, and refused to hold Ray accountable for it. She understood they had their reasons, and still cares about them.
Eirene is sensitive and overly emotional. Ray and Fenrir have both commented that she acts just like Sirius at times, being concerned about the wellfare of other people and always wanting to take care of them, so they dubbed her the nickname mother hen.

Relationships
The Red Army
Jonah Clemence ;
Eirene never liked Jonah when she first met him, believing him to be rude and egotistical. However, the more she got to know him better, the more her opinion about him changed. She admires his integrity, and makes it a habit of telling him so. She also compliments him on everything he does.
Eirene shares the same fondness of sweets with Jonah, something the two of them bonded over. She’ll go with him to the cafe whenever he’s not so busy with his duties.
Edgar Bright ;
Her instincts told her that Edgar couldn’t be trusted, especially after he forced her to join the Red Army by using threats against her.
They became friends after he makes it his mission to apologize by offering her his jelly beans as a peace offering, of sorts. Eirene forgave him, telling him she understood the reasoning behind his actions, even if he did scare her when they first met in the alley.
The two often play board or card games together, with her always being the loser. Edgar never let’s her live it down. He’s also aware she’s smitten with someone in Cradle.
Kyle Ash ;
Eirene shares many similarities with him, but wishes he could be a bit more sensitive. She values her friendship with him, and hangs out with him whenever he goes to the pub for drinks with Oliver and Blanc. The two are really close. She defends Kyle when the others tease him for his bad habit, and says she’s just as much of a lightweight as he is.
Eirene helps Kyle with his daily rounds in the Red Territory, the Central Quarter and in the Black Territory, where she meets and visits the members of the Black Army for chitchat.
Lancelot Kingsley ;
When Eirene was first brought to the Red Army Headquarters, he intimidated her. Or, at the very least, he tried to be, but she was firm against him. Like Jonah and Kyle, Eirene worries about his health. She wishes he takes better care of himself, but doesn’t try to pressure him. Though, Eirene will mother hen him into eating something light on his stomach, much to his utter surprise.
Eirene usually helps him with his paperwork, the typical work of a secretary (only if he allows her to help him), but she doesn’t take no for an answer and helps him, regardless.
Zero ;
Eirene thought Zero was kind when they first met. The two were kind of awkward, and barely spoke to one another. She wanted him to trust her, so she did everything she could possibly think of to get him to open up to her. They became good friends, eventually.
Neutral
Blanc Lapin ;
Eirene never blamed Blanc for the mishap of her descending into Cradle. She actually thanked him for it because she met so many wonderful people that she forged bonds with. Each and every friendship she made meant more to her anything else in her life.
Blanc knows about the secret her parents are keeping from her. Eirene is an anomaly of both worlds. Her conception has never been heard of before. It has been recorded by him.
Eirene visits him frequently for tea and cake.
Oliver Knight ;
Eirene thought Oliver was a child, and treated him as such. He immediately despised her because of it, and threw insults at her everytime they saw eachother. At one point, he unintentionally made her upset by making her believe he absolutely hated her.
To make it up to her, he allowed her to embrace him (only occasionally), whenever she came to visit Blanc every now and then.
Eirene eventually learned about his curse, but never judged him for it. In fact, she told him it isn’t something he can control, that it wasn’t his fault. She wanted to be his friend, and if he wasn’t comfortable with that, then just being around him is more than enough.
Loki Genetta ;
Her first impression: strange. Eirene thought he was strange. The way he carried himself, his mannerisms. He acted like an actual cat.
He had this strange fixation with her, tried getting her to open up to him. She supposed he dealt with people like her on a daily basis.
When he asked her to go on dates with him, Eirene rejected him politely, but said they could have fun on days she wasn’t helping Kyle, or anyone else around Cradle. Loki looked dejected, but agreed to be friends.
Their friendship continued to blossom the more they hung out together. Eirene still acted reserved, shy even. Especially whenever he dragged her to his shared home with Harr. Loki watched the spark of interest within her eyes come to life, saw the way her face lite up with a dark scarlet hue.
Eirene has an attraction for Harr, huh? Thus, a series of feline shenanigans began. There's an unrequited love that Loki has for Eirene.
Harr Silver ;
The moment Eirene first laid eyes on the reclusive man, her heart races inside her chest. It felt hotter than the typical warmer weather Cradle usually deals with. Loki kept staring at her with the most delighted expression she had ever seen. She didn’t particularly like the look he was giving her.
The mischievousness flashing within those heterochromia eyes made her nervous, and she was certain that Harr felt the same way.
The next time Eirene met Harr, Loki brought her to the Lake of Tears, where said wizard had been occupying for several hours. She sat little ways from Harr, placing her hands on her lap. The awkward silence between them was deafening, but Eirene felt content just being there with him. She attempts small talk, elated that Harr responded to her.
The third time Eirene met Harr, Loki invited her over to their house, purposely pushing her up against Harr while making excuses about having to go on an errand. The two awkwardly stood there until Harr offered tea.
Their relationship continued that way. With Loki scheming, and both Eirene and Harr finding themselves in awkward or embarrassing situations. She gets to know Harr little by little, bringing pastries or apricotes for them to share when he’s fishing. She learned he loved apricotes that day and, with Luka’s help, baked him an apricote cake and a few apricote pastries.
They completely opened up to one another, after a month passed, doing little things Loki knew were signs that Harr returned Eirene’s feelings. It took him several attempts to get them to admit their feelings to one another.
They lounged around the Lake of Tears one afternoon, Loki purposely pushed Eirene off the small rock she stood on with his magic. She ended up falling on top of Harr, their lips connecting in that moment, causing the two of them to blush in embarrassment. Loki watches them from the sidelines, grinning.
Mousse Atlas ;
The former Ace of Hearts visited Eirene days after Edgar brought her to the Red Army, bombarding her with all sorts of questions about the Land of Reason. She answered each question truthfully, and then told him she was enjoying her stay in Cradle. The two would occasionally meet in the Central Quarter for a cup of tea and pastries while he asked her more questions about where she came from. They ended up becoming such good friends. After defeating her cousin in battle, Mousse offers to be her ambassador after she reclaims the crown.
Dean Tweedle ;
Eirene has met Dean a couple of times, but hasn't tried engaging more than a few conversations with him. She does enjoy hearing him tell stories about his students.
The Black Army
Sirius Oswald ;
Sirius knows about Eirene’s feelings for his childhood friend, Harr Silver. He even encourages her to try to get to know him, but warns her that Harr isn’t used to women.
Sirius hired Eirene after the war against the Red Army. The two are really close, and completely trust one another. Eirene works for him as a volunteer (in her perspective), rather than an hourly worker. He still pays her, no matter how much she declines lin.
Seth Hyde ;
Seth immediately gotten himself attached to Eirene the moment they met. He helps her lack of sense for fashion by helping her pick out dresses, shoes, and accessories to go along with her attire. He compliments her beauty, and always wants to dress her up.
Eirene taught Seth how to stitch one day, he kept jabbing himself with the needle, and Eirene cleaned and bandaged his wounds.
Fenrir Godspeed ;
Eirene harbored a crush for Fenrir after meeting him. She thought he was beautiful (until she met Jonah), and liked his charming personality. Her crush for Fenrir eventually wore off, and she came to view him as nothing more than a great friend.
Ray Blackwell ;
In her opinion, Ray should have sent one of the Thirteen to guard her. Instead, he sent a lower ranking soldier with her to the Centeral Quarter. His decision ultimately lead to her immediate capture by Edgar.
Eirene doesn’t hold Ray accountable, and said she forgave him after the war ended.
At one point, Ray and Fenrir drags her down to mischief hell, roping her in on their pranking other members of the Black Army.
Luka Clemence ;
Eirene had a tough time getting close to Luka. With her persistence, Luka eventually opened up to her, allowing friendship to grow. She always helped him with cooking.
Eirene developed her cooking skills through him, and he couldn’t be any more prouder.
Magic Tower
Amon Jabberwock ;
Amon wanted to use Eirene for his devious plots of ruling the Land of Reason, Cradle, and beyond their country. His magic crystal reserves weren't equivalent to her magical prowess, but her magic wasn't enough to combat against the magic he stole from her father: whose soul he infused into himself.
Eirene despises Amon for making the people she cared about suffer for selfish reasons.
Dalim Tweedle ;
Eirene immediately disliked Dalim, finding his attitude annoying. When he tried capturing her by the orders of Amon, she gave him a piece of her mind and kept defending herself against his magic and the spells from the other disciples. He told her that he wanted to be the one to experiment on her, but then said Amon would be livid if he ever said that where he can hear him.
After Amon's defeat, Eirene decided to give Dalim a second chance by letting him continue working in the tower as long as Harr was the new leader if he chose to be.
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Additional Information
The beauty mark Eirene inherited from her father is a trademark of the Chapman family.
Eirene is sometimes seen carrying Ginger around, or she has Ginger in a carrier. Eirene never walks the fennec fox on a leash, despite Jonah’s insistent nagging about his concerns that Ginger might harm Pineapple.
Her favorite colors are gold and royal purple.
Her favorite dessert is red velvet cake, especially if Luka is the one who makes it for her. He bakes it for her birthday every year.
Eirene hates the aftertaste of bitter alcohol.
Eirene inherited the capability to use magic from her father due to the high amplitude for the art that passed through the Chapman family for generations. Due to her mother being from the Land of Reason, her defensive magic is extremely powerful.

┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Background
Arion is the eldest and only son of Hephaestus and Aregonis Chapman. He was doted on as a child, and the royal family made the assumptions that he was going to succeed the throne after Hephaestus dies. However, Evander chose his younger son, Erza Chapman, after giving his sons a test. Hephaestus failed, thus he was humiliated and scorned by the other members of the Chapman family. Erza succeeded their father's expectations, and inherited the title and responsibilities of King, angering Hephaestus to the core. After Evander's sudden death, Arion and his father turned against Erza, allying themselves with the Magic Tower: specifically Amon Jabberwock. Together, they revolted against the Chapmans, with Arion being the marionette who slaughtered the royal family.
Arion avoided prosecution, escaping from the two armies, and now resides in Glass.
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Personality
Ever since his father was humiliated and scorned, Arion despises the Chapman family. To this day, he still harbors the belief that his father, being the eldest of King Evander's children, should have been given the rights to the throne. Instead, Evander authorized his youngest son, Prince Erza Chapman, to be his rightful heir and to succeed him after his passing. Hephaestus and Arion plotted a coup d'état against Erza by forming an alliance with the Magic Tower.
Arion, with the help of Amon Jabberwock, slaughtered the remaining members of the Chapman family, allowing Amon to extract their souls for his cruel experiments in the creation of magic crystals. Arion escaped prosecution, leaving Cradle on a cargo ship heading east. He took refuge in the Country of Glass, working his way up the ranks of the Regnum Order, where he retains the rank of Lieutenant General of the Glassian Special Forces underneath the Glass King, whom Arion befriended and manipulated into believing Cradle, their western neighbor, murdered his entire family because of their unique magic, accusing the country of fearing their potential, wanting to eliminate a possible threat. The Glass King believed his white lies, denying the request of alliance talks with Cradle without giving a reason.
His close friends have stated Arion is always stoic; barely showing any emotions at all, unless someone mistakenly brings up his past, or asks too many personal questions.
Arion is really clever, masterminding the entire plot of obliterating his family, allying himself with Amon Jabberwock. The two are still working together. At some point, Amon informs Arion about Eirene, who he hates more than the Chapmans because of who her father is. He antagonizes her, sending mercenaries after her, including threatening the entirety of Cradle in exchange for her life. Eirene agreed, but only if he sworn to never harm anyone in Cradle. Arion made her suffer, intending to prove a point to her.

Additional Information
Arion likes taking long strolls through the luscious gardens of Glass. The Glass King has exceptional tastes for decor, no matter how expensive the decorations really are, or whatever country they are imported from.
Unlike Eirene, he's experienced with magic.
Arion wields multitude of weapons, having trained himself in combat, but only really uses a longsword, multifunctional halberd, and the parry dagger. His antimagic armor was forged by a blacksmith from Glass.
He likes any dish with poultry, but it has to be boiled, grilled or baked. He eats healthy.

A Guide to the Chapman's Traditions and Trademarks
An event I shall be participating in. Get ready to have my trash in your dash. I still have other things to work on, so look forward to that. This time I will pace myself and not work on a million things at once like I have.

Warning: I cannot use the Read More option, please forgive my long post in your dash.
Side Note: I hadn't realized this event happened last month, so excuse me for doing this a month later. I hope this is okay
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ ⟨ ⏣ ⟩ ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
1. Beauty Mark
Anyone born into the Chapman family will inherit the beauty mark that is always seen on the left-hand corner of their mouth. It never appears in any other spot on their face. This is the only visible trademark anyone can easily distinguish a Chapman.
This gene seems to be a dominant trait. For instance, Eirene, despite being conceived by someone from the Land of Reason, inherited it from her father. Even her daughter, Andrasta, inherited this same beauty mark.
2. Angelic Magic
Those who possess this ancient magic are held in high regard. The Chapmans consider this as a "rite of passage." The family holds a ball in their honor, whether they permitted other noble families to attend is uncertain. However, Eirene was born years after the Chapman Massacre, so she never received this honor after showing signs of magic use.
The Archon Seal: the seal on their upper back is the proof that these members can harness this powerful magic. Unlike ordinary magic, Angelic magic doesn't chip away the user's lifespan, which is the very reason the Magic Tower was interested in studying this magic and wanted to conduct experiments.
Angelic magic stems from the Grace of the Angel within the user. These Angels can fall from Grace, most likely due to their host. For example, Arion committed a heinous crime that involved murdering the Chapman family, their blood stained his hands, thus his Angel fell from Grace, becoming a Fallen Angel in the process.
3. Grandeur Balls
The Chapmans always invited nobles from all across Cradle to attend balls they hosted, regardless of where they come from. Their fatal mistake is inviting the head of the Magic Tower and his only son, Amon Jabberwock. The two forged an alliance with the previous King of Hearts, as well as Hephaestus and his own son, Arion Chapman. This lead to their early demise.
The balls the Chapmans hosted were always exquisite, always living up to the expectations of the elites. They relished their standing in society, but were never ones to flaunt what they had. When Erza took the title and throne after the death of his father, he continued hosting these balls to honor the Chapman family name. Eirene was far too young to remember the one she attended as a toddler, nor the fact that she had already met Ray, Lancelot, Jonah, Luka, Sirius, Fenrir and Harr. The only one who suspects the toddler was Eirene is Sirius.
4. Raw Talents
The Chapmans weren't talent crazed as the nobles from the Red Territory, as they were more interested in the Magic that runs in the family. However, most members proved to be skillful in the arts, such as playing instruments, jousting, singing, painting, etc.
Erza Chapman was skilled in everything, but he wasn't one to boast about his efforts. After the Chapman Massacre, he was well known for his handyman skill. People of Cradle appreciated everything he did for them. What Arion lacked in raw talent, he made up for by mastering Angelic magic, advancing himself in the Telesmic stages.
5. Magic Competitions
Rather than focus on raw talent in the arts, the Chapmans placed their efforts on honing their magic. Once a year, they hosted games for all of Cradle to participate in. However, one game, in particular, is what they're most famous for: Magic Competitions. People who were born with magic were allowed to enter, regardless of what their status was or where they came from. Arion Chapman was considered a prodigy by the Chapmans, and was revered for how powerful his magic was.
6. Holiday Celebrations
The holidays were very important to the Chapman family. The most notable ones they celebrated were Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. They hosted extravagant dinner parties during these exact holidays, being all about family.
Regardless of their royal status, the Chapmans never thought they were better than anyone else. They often lowered tax rates, something Hephaestus didn't approve of, during the holiday season as a gift from them to their people. Erza would buy dinner and ingredients for unfortunate families, or he would join them if they refused his offer.
7. Birthdays
Birthdays were celebrated for intermediate family members of the royal family. Only they were permitted to attend these private parties. When he was younger, Arion spent the last birthday he celebrated in the Red Army Headquarters. Ever since the Chapman Massacre, he doesn't celebrate his birthday anymore. He's repulsed by this day.
In her case, Eirene attends balls that the Red Army arranges for her birthday to continue the Chapman tradition. Loki always manages to convince Harr to go as her date (much to his embarrassment). Lancelot always ALWAYS grants permission for the Black Army to attend for Eirene's sake.
8. Wielding Holy Artifacts
The Chapmans who were born with Angelic magic weren't able to advance themselves in the Telesmic stages, thus were unable to conjure the Holy Artifacts their Angels wielded. The ancestor of the family was the first to accomplish this feat and save Cradle.
The second was Erza, who advanced himself to the Gnosis stage, conjuring the Holy Sword Excalibur. However, he never had the chance to complete the Gnosis Overload stage for Amon extracted the Angel within him, ultimately killing him in the process. Arion mastered all of the Telesmic stages, conjuring the Holy Artifact that his Angel wielded. People have often gossiped that Erza could have easily defeated him in battle, which angered Arion even more. Eirene was able to accomplish this feat with the help of the two armies and the neutral party. It took her longer to advance through the Telesmic stages due to lack of experience, but she was able to achieved the Gnosis stage before her battle with Arion.
9. Chapman Emblem
Tumblr media
Emblem of the Chapman family resembles the Telesmic stages of the Archon Seal. From the time of their ancestor up until the generation Erza was born into, the Chapman emblem has stayed the same. Eirene made the decision to keep the emblem as it is.
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ ⟨ ⏣ ⟩ ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Additional Information
Eirene and Arion have nothing in common. Neither of them knew the other existed until Amon informed him of a mysterious girl with the surname of Chapman. Arion has wanted to rid the world of the Chapman name, thus he commanded Amon to make a secret meeting and force Eirene to attend, so he can meet her without the armies interfering.
Upon their first meeting, Arion physically tormented Eirene. Her emotional and physical distress caused her magic to spiral out of control but Arion easily subdued her.
In the Garden above the Civic Center, Arion threatened to slaughter Harr right before her eyes after deducing that she was in love with the wizard, thus her magic went berserk and she very nearly destroyed the entire building and surrounding areas. It took Harr to reach her with his voice, bringing her back to consciousness. Eirene refused to let him go.

Magical Capabilities

┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Magic the Chapmans harness is ancient, powerful, and more complex than modern magic. Stories of old have stated the ancestor of the family was gifted the capability to use such magic through Divine Intervention. No one knows why or how this came to be, for the records were lost centuries ago, and no one is for certain where they are located. The Magic Tower learned about this magic, seeking it for their own purposes, kidnapping members with this magic to conduct inhumane experiments on them. The experiments conducted were so gruesome that most of their test subjects perished, resulting the Magic Tower to be thorough with concealing the evidence, leaving no traces behind.
The previous Kings of Hearts and Spades investigated the incidents, suspecting the Magic Tower of these heinous crimes, but found no such evidence to back up their claims, thus the cases went unsolved.
Lancelot reopened the cases sometime after Eirene appeared in Cradle, researching into her background. However, he found nothing about her in Cradle's public records, stopping his search when Amon caught wind of it, informing him of the history revolving around the Chapman family name.
Tumblr media
The Archon Seal is engraved on the skin of their upper back, an obvious sign that the user is part of the Chapman family, making them easily distinguishable from people with ordinary magic. The Thirteen requested the Chapmans find a better way to hone their abilities, so that the civilians aren't harmed.
The seal itself restrains the magic from going haywire, appearing once the user becomes of age. It keeps the Angel inside of them from taking every opportunity to control the vessel. It is a connection between the user and the Angel, acting like a conductor for the host to harness its' magic. The user will experience a burning sensation along their upper back once the seal has been activated, it usually lasts up to a few seconds, allowing the user to fully manifest the characteristics of the Angel within them.
The Telesmic Stages
Tumblr media
The Aeon stage is the beginning of the four telesmic stages, and appears once the Archon Seal is activated. The user has no control over the Angel within them, and have limitations with their magical capabilities.
The first sign that the user has entered this stage is by looking directly at their eyes. However, one might note that they are eeriely similar to the red eyes of those who harnesses ordinary magic. Upon closer inspection, a distinctive pattern forms along the pupil as veins near their temples bulge.
The user will manifest barely noticeable wings with no halo. Despite their magical limitation, they are still a formidable force to be reckoned with. The seal will contain the Angel once the user becomes hyper-aware.
Eirene had entered this stage upon finding herself in the conflict between the Red and the Black armies. The Angel within her sensed ill intent and, once the Archon Seal activated, controlled Eirene completely. She had only used simple spells by the time Blanc and Oliver arrived. The two stopped her before she could do any real damage.
Tumblr media
The Pleroma stage is similar to the first stage, with the same eerie red eyes. The only difference is that the user will manifest five transparent wings rather than four, and still lack a halo. Their magic pushes passed the limitations of the Archon Seal, allowing raw energy to seep through the cracks of the restraints containing the Angel inside them.
Eirene entered this stage upon honing her magic with the help of Harr Silver after learning about the truth of her father from Amon. It was due to her emotional distress, which caused her to nearly hurt the people she came to cherish with all of her heart. Although it was not her fault, nor was she aware that it happened, she blamed herself.
Tumblr media
The Gnosis stage is an incomplete form of Gnosis Overload. The user can manifest all six wings, a transparent halo, and still be able to harness Angelic magic. Although their magic is not at its' full potential, it can still cause extensive damage to surrounding areas. Even while in this state, the user is not in control, therefore, the Angel goes haywire upon sensing ill intent. It cannot distinguish friend from foe, though someone close to the user can reach them with their voice.
Users who achieved Gnosis are able to keep up with those who mastered Gnosis Overload, but cannot defeat them in battle.
Erza Chapman was a user who achieved Gnosis right before his death. He transferred the majority of his magic to his daughter, Eirene Chapman. Amon Jabberwock murdered him by extracting the Angel from his body, sealing the Angel within himself.
Tumblr media
The Gnosis Overload is the final stage a user can achieve. Their magical potential is passed its' limitation, and is at their most powerful. At this point, the user has fully manifested all the characteristics of the Angel inside of them. However, this does not mean the user is invincible, as they can still die even while in this form. Killing them will be a tough feat to accomplish, though not impossible. Find their weakness, exploit it.
Angels wield sacred relics known as Holy Artifacts. They are the Warriors of the Divine. Users can conjure these artifacts to wield in times of peril, but these weapons are at their strongest when used in Gnosis Overload. The ancestor of the Chapmans wielded the Gauntlets of the Abyss, also known as the Fists of Destruction. It was said he used these sacred relics to protect the country of Cradle. Another case is that Erza Chapman was able to conjure the sacred relic Excalibur, also known as the Holy Sword of the Heavens, for a brief time.
Arion Chapman was able to completely master Gnosis Overload, and conjure the sacred relic Vijaya Dhanush, also known as the Bow of Victory. His Angel is the only one that has fallen from the Grace of the Divines.
After her noble intentions of sacrificing herself for the sake of Cradle, Eirene Chapman achieved Gnosis Overload after intermixing her father's magic with her own. She conjured the sacred relics the Lances of Longinus, also known as the Lances of Destiny, and used them to defeat Arion Chapman in battle restoring peace at last.
Additional Notes
Unlike people harnessing ordinary magic, the Chapmans do not have to worry about Angelic magic chipping away their lifespans, which is the very reason the Magic Tower wanted to research and experiment on them.
The defining characteristic of an Angel is their Grace. It is an energy all Angels are consisted of, it is a material only unique to them. It is an energy of creation, of Divinity, of the Goddess.
The Chapmans are the only ones capable of harboring the Grace without suffering from the harmful effects.

┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Background
Andrasta was unplanned, and unexpected. She was conceived the very same night Eirene confessed her innermost feelings to Harr. The two shared their most precious memory at the Lake of Tears, for the Forbidden Forest and its' inhabitants to bare witness to (Harr felt embarrassed about it).
A month passed when Eirene began to show signs of pregnancy. She thought she contracted an illness, so she paid Kyle a visit. The Seven of Hearts gave her a check up, only to conclude that she was, in fact, pregnant. Kyle congratulated her, gave her a list of what she could and couldn't eat, what she could and couldn't do, and then instructed for her to visit him whenever she needed to. The news really frightened her.
Questions plagued her mind...
What would Harr think?
Would he abandon her?
Would he think the child wasn't his? No, that question didn't make any sense. Harr was her first lover, so he wouldn't think this way.
The Magic Tower was breathing down her throat. People were actively searching for her. Now wasn't a good time to bring an innocent child into the world. Eirene went to the Black Army to talk with Sirius. He gave her advice, then reassured her Harr wasn't going to hate her for this, nor abandon her.
Eirene still didn't tell Harr about the pregnancy, lying to him that she just simply contracted an illness. Seth made the unfortunate mistake when he escorted her to see Harr by talking about the pregnancy. Harr was upset about it, asking her why she didn't tell him sooner. Eirene told him she was scared that he'd think ill of her or abandon her. Harr told her he wouldn't ever do that to her, that he loved her, and then said he would be there to support her through this entire pregnancy. And he did.
Andrasta was born before the battle between the two armies, the battle between Cradle and Glass, the battle between Arion and Eirene. For once in his life, Harr felt truly happy, but he refused to hold his firstborn believing he didn't deserve to. Eirene encouraged him to hold Andrasta after an hour of bonding with her. Harr held her, albeit reluctantly, staring down at Andrasta.
By the time peace is restored to Cradle, Andrasta would merely be two years old.
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Personality
Andrasta is much like her father in terms of being reserved when around those she hardly knows, but once she gets to know them, she becomes cheerful and friendly.
Similar to her mother, she's emotional and highly sensitive. If Andrasta believes she's done something wrong, she'll be teary eyed and seclude herself away from everyone else to pity herself and to think about what she did wrong (in most cases, she never has done anything wrong). It takes her father to help her feel better. Moments with Harr are ones Andrasta cherishes the most. She loves her father, and is extremely close to him.
She loves her family dearly. When she was a toddler, Andrasta became attached to Loki, who didn't want anything to do with her at first, but he ended up growing attached to her after she wormed her way into his heart.
Andrasta is creative, and has developed potions and magical spells through study. She loves reading difficult texts and tombs.
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
Additional Information
Andrasta inherited a tremendous amplitude for the magical arts. By the time she becomes a preteen, she'd have gain her magical capabilities. Harr will teach her how to harness her magic abilities proficiently.
Loki gave her a cat plushie for her first birthday. Andrasta has never parted from it.
A phantom like familiar follows her around. Andrasta named it Mórrigan, which means Phantom in the Celtic language of Ireland.
Andrasta will delve into potion creation when she gets older. She isn't known as the Witch of Cradle for nothing: an alias she refers to herself as. So now it sticks with her.
Harr gave her a grimoire for her sixth birthday. She never lets anyone touch it.
She also carries around a broom stick.
Her favorite beverage is chai tea. Her favorite dessert is macaroons. And her favorite dish is a grilled chicken sandwich.
Andrasta goes to a school in the Central Quarter. She's a year 3 student there.

Her sleep schedule varies at nighttime, mostly because of projects, assignments, writing essays, or exams.
She makes sure to eat healthier snacks.
Student History:
Eirene received a perfect attendance award for never missing a day, or being marked as tardy for being late to class.

She has wrote several short stories which were published and sold at bookstores across the Central Quarter.
Student Life:
Eirene doesn't have much of a social life, meaning she isn't the partying type, and likes to spend her time wisely by being productive than some of her friends.
She loves going to Milreth's enormous library, but avoids the cafe because it gets overly crowded during exam days.

Relationships
Harr Silver ;
Harr is a third year student at Milreth Academy. However, he and Eirene are taking two completely different courses. With Eirene having chosen art & design, majoring in fine and studio art, where as he's taking a course on engineering, majoring in architecture. The two are constantly busy, but always find the time to spend together.
Eirene leans forward, continuing to run the tips of her fingers through black tresses. "Hey, Harr?" Her inquiry is murmurered, but the man in question hears her, humming to confirm he heard her. "Want to come over for a study session? You can bring Loki along, if you feel uncomfortable being alone with me." Harr opens his visible eye, staring up at his girlfriend of two years. "W-What do you need help with?" He looks away from her, a blush blossoming onto his face. "Are you having problems with math again, Eirene?"
She stops playing with his hair to stroke his reddening cheek. "You know I've never been particularly talented with mathematics, Harr. But you seem to have no issues with figuring out complicated math problems, am I right?"
The third year student sat up, shifting to address his lover. "I can help you in areas you have the most trouble with. If I have issues with drawing and maping things out, I know you will help me. We balance eachoth--- Eirene cuts him off, pressing her lips against his. Pulling away, she smiles happily. "You know I'll do anything for you, right, Harr?"
Loki Genetta ;
Loki is a first year student at Milreth Academy. He decided to take a course on business, majoring in business management & administration, minoring business sales. Loki wanted to take a course on business, so that he can work closely with Harr. Hoping that, when the two of them graduate, they can open up their own business in Cradle.
Eirene and Loki always hang out together on weekends or through group study sessions. If Harr is too busy, Loki will help Eirene with her standardized homework, and even allows her to practice drawing illustrations of him and watch her paint them, afterward.
Loki procrastinates completing his work alot of the time, making Harr lecture him about the importance of his education and that working hard will pay off once he graduates, even reminding Loki about them opening their own business in the Central Quarter, which inspires Loki to complete his work.
"Loki, have you completed your homework?" Harr inquired the pink haired teen, scrubbing a filthy dish with a soapy sponge. "Have you even started your class project? You know, your paper is due next week." Loki silently toys around with his unfinished dinner, causing the tips of the fork to scrap against the glass. "Eirene is writing my paper. And before you start nagging, she offered to write it for me. She said she wanted to practice writing, so I agreed in exchange for doing her math homework for her. I hate writing, you know that. I believe this is fair."
Harr rinces the plate once he finished scrubbing, setting it down in the dish rack. "Your education is important. I've told you this countless times. Both of you should be doing the work yourselves, so that you can learn to accomplish in areas you're weak in." The third year student grabs another plate to scrub. "Do you want to open up a business with me once you graduate from the academy?" Loki stood up from the table to scrap leftover food into the trash with his fork. "I do want to open up a business with you, Harr. I thought this course would be fun, but it's not fun. There's too much work involved." A sigh escapes from Harr. "Loki, you have to work for what you want. Life isn't going to hand everything to you. If you want to open up a business with me, work hard to achieve it. I will support your dream."
Loki ran up the stairs to his room, the sound of the door slamming shut echoing throughout the house. Harr returns to washing the rest of the dishes, making a mental note to lecture Eirene at a later date.
Seth Hyde ;
Seth is a third year student at Milreth Academy. He decided to take a course in art & design, majoring in fashion & apparel design. He wants to be a fashionista, and expand his experience in the fashion industry of Cradle. Seth is confident in his ability to design fashion wear for women.
Eirene and Seth met by accident one afternoon (during break, to be more precise), becoming good friends with one another.
"You made a mistake." Eirene pointed out, gesturing toward the mistake Seth made. The man let out a shriek when he noticed the mistake. "How can this be?! I was certain I drew the curves correctly!" Smiling, Eirene takes the artbook from him, using her own pencil to erase the mistake and correct it. "No worries." She handed the drawing book back to him. "My name is Eirene Chapman."
He grins, placing the artbook down beside him. "My name is Seth Hyde. Want to be friends, Eirene? We can bond over artwork."
The two of them mostly hang out during breaks, sharing their drawing techniques, offering advice about improving styles, etc. Seth and Eirene brainstorm color palettes, and Seth watches Eirene paint his designs.
Jonah Clemence ;
Jonah is a third year student of Milreth Academy. He decided to take a course in art & design, majoring in drama & theater art. He's confident with his performances on the stage, and wants to be a famous, talented actor of Cradle. Eirene met Jonah when she was tasked to help set the stage for an upcoming event the academy planned for.
"This goes against my aesthetics." Jonah remarked, taking Eirene's artwork and throwing it on the floor of the stage. "Make it better." The second year student kept her mouth shut, feeling her eyes sting with unshed tears. Seth came up besides Eirene, picking up the scenery illustration she made. "What do you know about aesthetics, Cling of Hearts? I believe Ei did a fantastic job painting this piece. Do you know how many hours she's worked on it?" The fashion designer scolded the young actor. "Do you?"
The Queen of Hearts scoffed, regarding Seth with disdain. "No, but I don't care. Everything has to be perfect for this play, since I have the lead role. Second best is not an option."
Eirene forces a smile, reaching down to pick up an opened can of paint. "You think my work is second best? I put my heart into everything I draw, paint, and write. If you wanted someone better, then you shouldn't have wasted your time asking for MY help." She dumps all the paint on Jonah, throwing the can off to the side once there's nothing left, storming off the stage, leaving a shocked Seth and an angry Jonah behind.

Note
Have you played Loki’s route? Does he ever refer the MC by her name or does he just call her Alice?
I have played his route earlier this year, including participating in events with him too. She doesn't actually have a name, but we refer to her as MC (main character), or by her title of Alice. If I remember correctly, anyone from the Land of Reason is also known as Alice. I don't think Cradle cares if the person is male or female.
So Loki refers to Alice as Alice. The game gives us the option of choosing a name for the MC. Mine just happens to be named after my Cradlesona, Eirene Beverly Chapman.

Dearest Heart, I am well aware of my own shortcomings as both a man and a wizard. I have emotional baggage and an adopted son who needs me very much, but I write this letter to you hoping... wishing that what we share might become something stronger than any magic in Cradle. I love you more than any other woman I have ever known. Each day that I am able to look upon you fills me with warmth. Please allow me to live forever at your side. Love, Harr
Dear Beloved,
No living soul is perfect. I never expected you to be. The moment we met, I knew there were obstacles I'd have to bypass in order to win your affections. Some moments were frustrating, others were filled with happiness. That is to be expected. As I told you above, no one is perfect. I accepted everything that makes you who you are.
I never knew what it meant to love someone until I met you, Harr. I believe what we share will continue to grow stronger than any force that comes our way. We may have our ups and downs, but if we work together, I know we can make it through them. After all, we're not just lovers. We're partners, soulmates, best friends. You can always lean on me for support, but I know you'd feel like you're placing all your burdens on me. I'll carry them with you, like you've done for me.
I just realized I never told you how much I appreciated you, have I? Well, I'm going to tell you. Now and forever. Not just through words, but through actions, too.
Thank you, my love. For entrusting me with your heart, for allowing me into your world, for letting me love you. I never liked how you thought you were undeserving. You need to remember that you're just as important in this world as everyone else is. You DO deserve every bit of happiness the world has to offer. I won't allow you to think this way.
You can stay by my side for however long you want, however, you must promise me to never push me away when trouble arises.
Forever yours,
Eirene Chapman

Character(s): Loki Genetta
Pairing: Harr Silver & Eirene Chapman
Genre: Angst
Word Count: 484

Thank you @saphyhowl and @cradleeyes for beta reading, giving suggestions and ideas.

Why?
The word is the first thing that pops up in his mind as he watches Harr and Eirene interact with one another, noting the love in their eyes, while recognizing the magnetic pull bringing their bodies closer and closer. As if they are meant to be together, without them realizing it. Witnessing the love they share is painful. His heart yearns for the one person he can’t have. He knows how wrong it is to feel this way. And, yet, he still harbors these feelings, in spite of the fact he was the one who introduced the two of them.
He brought them together through his mutual friendships with them, bringing them together with an intent to help them break through their awkward and reserved nature, resulting in the two of them finding themselves in precarious situations…thanks to him purposely sabotaging the moment.
Loki met her first, on the type of day he hates the most. Rainy weather always brought painful memories: memories he’d rather forget. Eirene had shown him kindness when no one else did. She offered her time and companionship, despite how awkward and guarded she’d been, how little she talked (about herself, or otherwise), much to his dismay. Still, Loki slowly wormed his way into her heart; something she kept from everyone unless they were in her little circle. Her trust meant more to him than his own selfish desire for attention, only craving the kind she could give. Only, it wasn’t his to have. The thought of losing her, to time, to death, to the one person whom he trusted his life to: these factors played a role in his demise, shattering his heart into a million pieces.
Why?
“Will I ever be loved by you, Eirene?” Loki whispers to himself, watching the woman in question embracing Harr lovingly. Sorrow dances within the heterochromia depths of his eyes.
Her laughter is a sweet melody, her touch is gentle. The tips of her fingers brush black locks behind reddening ears. “Please, Harr?” Her plea causes Loki’s heart to stir with an all too familiar emotion. “I only want one kiss. Just one, I promise.” Knowing how Harr is, Loki sees the wizard divert his one visible eye, discerning a dark red hue spreading across Harr's face, as he strains to hear his murmur. “Do we have to kiss right now?” Her boldness surprises Harr, but Eirene refuses to give up, pushing him down to the ground, straddling his waist. With a teasing smile, she leans down, her face inches away from his, moving her hips in a suggestive manner as she whispers something meant for his ears only. Loki doesn’t have to hear the words being spoken to understand them, the lovers' body language giving him the answer to his question. Suddenly, it feels like his whole world is crashing down around him, his chest tightening with every breath he takes.

Snippet (1.5)
This is a continuation of the first snippet, so I hope you guys don't mind. This snippet, in particular, gives you more information about Erza, since he's more important in my Cradlesona's story than her mother is 😅
WARNING: CHARACTER DEATH or is it?

Edit: I decided to rewrite this snippet 😅

Erza waited patiently for Maryam to arrive, leaning against the tree near the area where the rabbit hole is expected to appear, closing his eyes, listening to the sounds of nature.
"Are you really from another world?" The voice of Maryam inquired dubiously, drawing closer to his exact location. "Is this some kind of sick and twisted joke?" Her voice rose in volume as unshed tears swelled in her eyes.
Erza did nothing, but watch her closely. He knew he should have been truthful with her from the beginning of their relationship. But this is something he just couldn't bring up out of the blue. "I'm from another world, Maryam. You know I'd never lie to you." Erza replied, opening his eyes to make eye contact with her. "I know I should have told you sooner. For that, I apologize. But the way you're reacting now, you wouldn't have believed me then, either." Maryam shook her head, sniffling. "A relationship is based on trust. I'm more upset by the fact that you didn't trust me with this secret, Erza. I love you." She took his hands into her own. "I'll love you no matter what."
Erza looked into her eyes, seeing nothing but honesty. He squeezed her hands, before bringing them to his lips. "Come with me."
"...what?" Maryam couldn't believe what she heard. "Go with you where? I can't leave everything behind. Who will help my father with his shop? Who will help my mother with household chores? I can't very well leave them."
Erza lifted her chim with his index finger, stroking her plump lips with his thumb. "Your parents will be fine. Trust me, Maryam. Just come with me to Cradle. I will take care of you, I promise." Maryam sees how earnest Erza was being. With a shaky breath, she leaned upwards to press her lips to his--- a silent agreement. Pulling away, she nodded her head.
"I promise you're not going to regret it." Erza grinned boyishly, releasing her. "Look, Mary." He gestured toward the portal that revealed itself.
Maryam blinked once, turning her head in time to see the rabbit. "Is this the bridge connecting our two worlds together?"
Erza kept her against him, guiding the two of them closer to the portal. "Yes, my love. This portal acts as a bridge between our two worlds. Blanc told me it's a coin with two sides. The only difference is that your world is governed by the Laws of Science, where as mine is governed by the Laws of Magic."
Maryam felt her heart racing with anxiety. She didn't understand his explanation, and chose not to delve further into it out of fear.
The closer he guided them to the rabbit hole, she clung to him. "Don't ever let me go." Erza pressed a chaste kiss on her forehead, pulling away to glance down at her tenderly. "I would never dream of letting you go."
The two fell through the illuminating hole, descending into Cradle at a quick pace, their clothes rustling from the harsh breeze. Erza tugged her against his body, his eyes glowing scarlet. "Open your eyes, Mary. See what my world is like." Maryam slowly reopened her eyes, the sight below them is breathtaking. She lifted her head to meet his eyes, entranced by their eerie glow. No words were spoken between them as they found themselves in the garden above the Civic Center.
Blanc stepped forward to greet them, placing his hand squarely on his chest. "It appears we have a guest in Cradle." Erza released Maryam to introduce the two. "Blanc, this is Maryam Sommer. Maryam, this is Blanc Lapin. He's the one--- Erza told me alot about you, Mr Lapin." Maryam cuts Erza off, approaching the record keeper with a smile. "He told me how you raised him from a small lad to the young man he is today. He spoke fondly of you, I might add."
Blanc looked at Erza in surprise, his lips parting. It took him a moment to compose himself. "I never knew you felt that way. It's true," Pink hues met Maryam's blue ones. "I did raise Erza myself. But there's more to it than that, Miss Sommer. However, it's not my tale to tell. You will know soon enough."
┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ ⟨ ⏣ ⟩ ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈
"Take Eirene and leave Cradle!" Erza shouted his order, pushing his family toward the illuminating portal connecting Cradle to the Land of Reason. "I'll hold them off to give you a chance to escape. Go quickly, Mary."
Maryam clutched the bundle within her arms. "I don't want to leave you, Erza. I'm frightened." She tried to resist her lover, but he's much stronger than her. "I don't understand. You promised you'd never let me go."
Erza embraced her one last time, whispering sweet nothings into her ear before pulling away to press a kiss to his newborn daughter's head. "I'll follow right behind you, I promise."
A young masculine voice rang through the garden. "I want the magic you possess, Erza Chapman! The unique magic belonging to the royal bloodline of Cradle. I want it for myself--- no, to advance further in my magical research." On impulse, his eyes burned scarlet, Erza knew who it was. Amon Jabberwock. The son of the leader of the Magic Tower. Why did Amon want his magic? There had to be a reason for it. Erza couldn't make sense of it. It just doesn't add up.
Holding his hand above the bundle, he imbued majority of his magical energy into his newborn daughter. So that one day, should her life be in peril, the spell that'll allow her to use his magic for a limited time will activate itself. "If Eirene is anything like me, she'll show signs of being able to harness magic before she turns thirteen. Keep her away from the city, not if you can help it. With you being able to repel magic, my ability to use magic, her magic will spiral out of control. Watch for the signs, Mary." With one last kiss, Erza gently pushed Maryam into the glowing rabbit hole as Amon and a few of his disciples appeared behind him, each of them holding a magic crystal. "ERZA!" Maryam shouted at the top of her lungs, reaching out for him. She watched who she assumed to be Amon do something horrendous to Erza with a sense of helplessness and despair.
